Browsing through the net for job opportunities, confined to a small room at high costs, finally if and when they are been called for one or two interviews at most despite forwarding more than 100 resumes, at the interviews they will be offered lower than the minimum wage for parttime workers. What a crime\n Here I am talking about fully qualified and experienced, as well as fluent English Speakers, actually better English skills than both of you here presenting this program. What a scam, first they say that English fluency is essential has introduced different Examination to assess the English fluency standard.. it is a big scam...while Canada has favoured immigrants from certain parts of the globe. As you say here. It is height of cheek of Canadian Authorities to offer lower wages , lower than the minimum wage stipulated by the labour laws, also as you emphasise here, high living standard's, High paying jobs, high Health standards. What nonsense.\nEven the PR Holders are not provided with the Dental and Eye care Insurance, they are provided with only the basic general health care benefits, furthermore after depleting their finds to gain qualifications to be eligible for the federal Government skilled labour program. they are unable to find employment after complying with all the requirements and regulations stipulated by the Government, they arw highly qualified. Highly experienced and highly fluent in English, the Government has not initiated a mechanism to absrb all such migrants.. and has the nerve to expect all such migrants to be hired\nUnder very low wage schemes. Whereas their job designations are entitled to a high wage category stipulated by the labour rules.\nAs you both emphasise here all from poorer nations or Asian or South East Asia are.not paupers nor uneducated, unskilled individuals who migrate to Canada in different fraudulent and corrupted ways while some of you learn and improve your communication skills after landing in Canafa and then learn English and then preach on UTube about the high living standards and quality of life in Canada unlike some of you who tries to emphasise here on UTube that migrants are trying to seek employment without having the basic qualifications nor the basic fluency in English. And you have the nerve to say, you don't belong here.\nMind you, they are there , through legitimate Government programmes which has subjected them into high assessment of their credentials as well as assessment of fluency in English. After complying with all the stipulated Government regulations, still such individuals are not been called for interviews, finally after wasting months and.months depleting their own funds, they are offered salaries way below the standard wage scales stipulated by labour rules for certain job categories. Some still accept such offers as they need to get Canadian job experience in order to be even eligible to apply for certain job categories, all though they have enough and more experience in their home countries to prove their capability \nAlso, the Job interviewers pose very advanced technical questions which they themselves do not understand or have no clue about what they are asking, or they do not use such high technical advanced methods in their specifics job caregories available. All these gimmicks are being utilised to discourage the applicants and to force the genuine Credential Holders who could definitely contribute to boost the Economy in a fruitful manner to leave the country and to force them to get back into their home countrues. In that case why did the Federal Governments of Canada created a delusion to migrants from around the globe stating that there is an acute labour shortage in certain high demanding job categories, encouraging all such applicants to apply through the Skilled labour Program introduced by the Federal Government of Canada,. as if there are shiploads of opportunities available just for geabs.\nSuch individuals are driven to state of utter despair or forced to get back to their home countries whereas here the federal Government of Canada is granting Asylum to all sorts of unskilled , uneducated and sometimes no literacy nor basic communication skills in English at all at the expense of the taxes and high tuition fees acquired from the student population as well as PR Holders who has incurred massive expenditure through the federal Government's detailed and tough assessment procedures just to gain entry under the stipulated visa categories. Whilst all such individuals who has made a genuine effort by using their own reserves and during their stay pay high consumer taxes and high rent are being denied to gain employment but certain uneducated hooligans and certain communities are allowed to enter Canada Scot free as Asylum Seekers through the IRCC refugee and immigration act and Asylum Seeker Act.\nHow unfair and unrealistic...\nWhen you present such videos be aware of your content as not only the Canadians are contributing to the Federal Governments tax schemes. It is virtually every individual who come over to Canada seeking Greener Pastures, be it Temporary Visitors, Tourists, student population from around the globe,.Migrants under different visa caregories introduced by the federal Government of Canada itself , all such people contribute to the federal governments reserves in direct and indirect ways. So, it is very unfair to say that individuals who are from poorer nations are willing to undergo harsh living conditions in basements within Canada. And they grab the job opportunities of the Canadians. Wrong again. , as the Canadians do not accept job offers which does not include the specifics wage packages stipulated by labour laws to their designated job categories ,, the federal Government has found a crude way to fulfil their labour market through these new migrants for lower salary scales as well as utilising the student population to fill the shortages for parttime and temporary job categories where the employer can get away by paying minimum wage and hire and fire as they wish.\nWhat a cruel system...Get the facts straight before you present such videos.....

Yeah the government is going hard after immigrants right now, which is good because there was a lot of abuse and the rate of immigration was far too high, but also it's not the root of the problem where housing is concerned. \n\nIn this way, immigrants are a scapegoat for the housing crisis. Yes the woke media thinks that Canadians should assimilate to the immigrants coming here but they don’t think the immigrants should assimilate to Canada. That won’t end well for Canada. If you expect as an immigrant that you will not face some hurdles as to Canadian experience then you are very naive. This is true of most other countries as well.

YGood day. For from context I'll reveal a little about me. I am around 27% Indian, 34% northern African people which is around 61% combined. My other ancestry includes Wales, Sweden, Norway Scottish and Irish, Hebrew/ jew as in from 12 tribes of Israel, However, the world calls me black Jamaican born. I live in small town with population under 41,000 people in northern Ontario Canada for past 21 years. I remember when I came here with company contracted to build and say very few black people mostly French African and some mixed black with some Chinese probably total under 20 people other than white or indigenous peoples. Over the years was steady increase of black, Chinese, Philippino, and my Indian doctor and his family to maybe total around 50 none white none indigenous peoples. Just before pandemic we had a large number of Indian students which was awesome to see considering my heritage as my grandmother on dad side was Indian. But a year before pandemic we noticed many started working in convenient stores and fast food places like most high school students do to save for college/university which was becoming a problem for Canadian students as some employers got incentives or cheaper labour to maximize profits. As pandemic rolled in so it seems more Indian students from other regions in Canada. So, Canada, Ontario, and small town I reside already had huge housing problems as some homes we even to be condemned and indigenous homeless from north increased crime rates and now we had students living beyond building code occupancy with shared living causing rentals to shoot up in prices as landlords became greedy and selfish. This small town of under 41,000 is by some estimates over 55,000 by increasing Indian students who for past 5 years fighting to get permanent residents even though they came as students which proves the goal was always invasion and coming as students was the ticket. If you and rest of new immigrants don't see the problem yet, I'll continue. 95% of taxis have Indian drivers, 98% food and other delivery Indian, 90%+ convenience and groceries, clothing and all stores 90%+ , vehicles on roads 70% Indian, my son barely got into college with 90%+ Indian population in college and his class is 2 white students, himself only mixed , and 2 Africans and 22 Indian students who cheats on a regular basis but professor afraid to confront as they are quick to call racism. But even bigger for me is these Indian students/new immigrants have no respect for the history of Canada and USA not knowing how indigenous peoples were raped tortured and murdered to take over this country and then enslaved African people to build this country while they raped tortured treat less than animals and still suffering with fighting for equal rights for over 400yrs while still being racially profiled and beaten and murdered by police officers because of this colonizers system. Now you come here and benefits from black and indigenous peoples struggles and claiming rights when you have not been fighting the battles with us or for us. Also, the criminal aspects of your community is not being taked about as well which includes extortion to businesses owned by Indians, car thefts, drug trafficking, human trafficking and other criminal activities. Well thats's expected, Canada has nothing much to be offer except the permanent residence. Quality of our tech education even at top institutions is not top notch. I am in software/machine learning (fancied AI), born Canadian who did bachelor's and master's from University of Waterloo and moved to US for my PhD in 2014. Sorry to break this but even top universities in Canada come nowhere even close to top 20 in US when it comes to American universities. I completed my masters in 2011 and was doin some junk work in Canada as tech industry is light years behind US where all innovations happen. I was literally shocked to see the difference in education and quality of work after coming to US. Canada only wants blue collar workers, realtors and truck drivers.

The so called fake agents as claimed by those Indian immigrants is actually fake itself. They are very well awarexabout all scams and stuff they do here yet come to Canada. I got to know several kaurs and singhs are doing fake marriages among themselves for PR especially students. In our class they mentioned that they do another course to get PR. Also they sound very rude and you cannot expect basic courtesy from them.

I am an Indian, but I don’t agree with these protests. You are a student. Get your education and then make your career. You can’t expect a foreign country to be obliged to give you a job as well. There are a lot of opportunities in India. So, why not come back and work in India? If you are good, an Indian MNC will send you Canada or any other foreign country at its own expense. The education loans are for education. I appreciate that there will be implicit expectation that getting a job in Canada will help pay that loan back quicker, but as a student you can’t demand that. You got to respect the law of the country.

You were spot on about govt's role and the behaviour of the crowd that has moved in the past few yrs. I have been here for 28+ yrs. I am sad about everything that is happening now. \n\nSad for Canadians and the new generation of students coming with improper planning. Some can't even speak decent English. Some are not interested in studying and getting local degrees. No solid long term plans. \n\nSome of them have no respect for local culture as you mentioned. Rude and unruly behaviour has become a common site in some areas. It is expected that most Canadians will come to detest all that. It's only natural. I can't stand it so how would they, who have never been exposed to that? \n\nDuring Covid, govt let students work FT, they let them come without asking for proof of sufficient funds to support themselves. Because of that, many people brought their families and the spouses were allowed to work as temporary workers. \n\nAll this was to be a temporary arrangement but people moved in droves without considering the possibility of things changing. They figured that between two jobs, however small, a family could survive. Sadly, not true. We already have a crisis at home and this made things even worse for the locals. There are low income families here as well. Things like Covid and the war has affected Canada badly. \n\nGovt failed to make it clear that the lifting of work restrictions for students was a temporary move. People also got carried away. In the end, everything has become a royal mess. As I said, it is a sad situation for both sides.

Well, when the US Visa Officer or a European Visa Officer denies visas to the very same Indians, they just humbly accept it, without 'demanding' any explanation. How come then we suddenly expect a different behaviour and an 'explanation' from an India Visa Officer? That is typical Indian mentality and behaviour. Behave like a mouse in front of the Visa Officers of the Western countries, but become aggressive and demanding in front of Indian Visa Officers.

I believe it's the younger generation of Indians. \nThey lack experience and professionalism.\nThe trucking industry is a very good example. \nThey don't drive the vehicles very well. There is a serious lack of skill with many of them to the point where some will pay other drivers $100.00 to back their combine and trailer up for them.\nThe men appear as lazy, that could be the culture where they expect their women to do everything for them or again it's the generation, im not sure.\nI went to school with many Indian of India when I was young and they always appeared as a good hard working culture.\nBottom line: they need to change people's perception of them.

Misleading Title, well, what can you expect from Indian

Unfortunately Germany is not a very attractive place for immigrants for the reasons the guy mentioned. The bureaucracy is incredibly frustrating and it's not only for immigrants. I got offered a job by a very well known multi international company here and they expected me to do the visa application by myself, because they haven't dealt with it before and evidently not enough information was readily available for them to take on the process. Those who are planning to come to Germany I would say spend a lot of time familiarizing yourself with how taxes will impact your salary. Insist on getting a dummy payslip with estimates of what your take home will be (because in Germany there are variables that could make an accurate estimate hard), research the average median expenses in the city or town you are moving to and be preperared to be the person who initiate contact with others. Learn the language which will make it easier to make friends (this will not happen over night as Germans by nature are not the warmest people), but in time yes. Find out whether your qualifications are comparable to those in Germany. You will be so surprise how many people don't do this check and waste their time doing courses that will not benefit them. I know it's incredibly hard to find out about this, like with everything else in this country, finding information on things isn't easy. You will need to speak to 4/5 different people, but it's worth it in the long run and saves you a lot of time.

Honestly, now I just want to move to the Netherlands ?\n What bothers me the most the lack of incentive to learn the language and the simultaneous judgement from people when you don't know the language. I'm disappointed by all those other problems that were pointed out but the language barrier is the biggest hurdle for me. I work for a multinational company, which means English is the language of choice there, and learning German means dedicating a lot of extra time to it, which I don't always have. \n\nExpats are expected to insert themselves in the culture, not be welcomed into it. And it's not just learning German, it's also not forgetting what you learned. You need to make extra effort to keep yourself in contact with the language and that is a bit tough as well. Im my experience as a German the “unskilled” foreigners usually learn German pretty fast while the “skilled” somehow expect that everything needs to be in English. I get that learning languages can be hard, I speak 3 and am currently learning Portuguese. But it’s just a necessity if you really want to live in a place for a longer time. I haven’t yet visited a country where once you leave the urban areas you get along well with English. I’m often shocked how little German a lot of people speak that have been working here for years. If I go to Brazil for example I don’t expect everything to be in English, I try to make use of my little Portuguese and am grateful for people that do speak english. I think a lot of the issues stem from comparing Germany to UK, US, Canada that are native English countries. Or small countries like the Netherlands that have to use English as a primary language in many businesses because there are just not enough dutch speakers.

Germany is just a huge factory owned by Germans that need workers to keep the factory running. Don’t expect to be accepted and you’ll be fine. But do well to save money and get out as quickly as possible

They expect for someone to come to work to speak German on C1 level, I mean for a reasonable job and on the other end they're allowing all the immigrants in that don't know German at all. They want cheap labor, period. As well even if you're from some other EU country they look at you differently so I don't know how would they look at someone from outside of EU. Would avoid Germany, only as a last resort.

So many Canadians in the same situation — perhaps use your Canadian passport ? so many better places for you to be… find a nice job across the border in the US — it’s so easy to get a TN work Visa, or work tax free in the UAE, or build a nice career in Singapore. I had the same problem with Australia — it’s my home, and my heart will always fondly call it home forever. Australia is a big country with small job market, generally ignorant (but nice) people and limited economic diversity. One gets proper civic amenities only in either Melbourne or Sydney e.g., top notch medical care, a wide variety of groceries etc. Taxation is very high and although some people will tell you “we are well taken care of…” that is not true nowadays. The Australian Government’s policies over the last 40 years destroyed manufacturing, the economy, working conditions and inflated the property market. A reasonable 2-bedroom apartment in a Sydney suburb could cost you Au$2000-3000 in rent or Au$500,000+ to buy — and that goes higher as you get closer to downtown Sydney. The problem is that incomes are not high enough in Australia and housing quality is less than average overall for these ridiculous prices. Food, tolls and petrol cost a lot, although Sydney and Melbourne’s fresh food markets give you better prices than you’ll find in most other cities. My wife and I had a combined income of over Au$300,000/year while we lived there. We finally left Australia and moved to the US because even with our relatively high income we could only have an average house for around Au$1.8 million, we couldn’t fill up the tub and have a proper bath because of water restrictions, our kids would get an average schooling and their only dream in life would be to one day own a house. We didn’t want to live like that, so we wrapped up and left for good. The US is much better for skilled people — I don’t mean plumbers, tilers, roofers or landscapers, although life is good for them too. I’m sure someone will reply to this comment about the gun violence in the US. All I can say is that in the US we have the option to defend ourselves whereas in Australia we are expected to quietly die if someone kicks us in the head, stabs us or shoots us. Quality of life is good here in the US for me and my family. Fly free, mate!

My fellow non-Germans….Don’t make the mistake of coming to Germany right now. The country will sooner or later have a crisis due to its politics and their companies falling behind in competitiveness due to incompetence and arrogance. Instead of blaming themselves, they will blame immigrants, including you. Also, if you are a qualified foreigner, you will have to come to terms with being a second class resident, watching how natives enjoy their life and expect you to do their work. Only “luxury jobs” with a strong union like IG Metall will ensure you a fair treatment. But most of these jobs are occupied by 55+ yo people that are waiting for retirement without innovating or contributing absolutely nothing to their company. \nThe woman in the video is happy because she married a local (for love of course). With her low salary as a nurse she would be absolutely miserable and lonely. The Indian guy has a family, and well, he comes from India.

Modern immigrants expect to both better as well as replicate the one they've left behind. Why would anyone coming from an impoverished life expect anything different?

How do you call it scapegoating immigration for the housing shortage? Is it the biggest issue? Yes. You can't increase the population by 8 million people in a decade and not expect it to stretch not only housing but Healthcare as well. It doesn't make you a racist to be upset about that. Sure the infrastructure needed to be increased but that has to be paid for in advance of immigrants coming and with so many people on the poverty line who should pay for that? You make it seem like it's our duty to take in and provide all the services necessary, it's not. If the immigration wasn't so out of control the systems would be able to keep pace and people wouldn't be so upset. So stop gaslighting everyone that is upset with the massive increase in immigration and all the issues it has caused!

Out of five, four I understand . it is the 3rd that puzzles me - soy expected Canada to be an Islamic society? Is that ignorance or conceit? Canada is a secular society and, in my view, has made abundant accommodations to muslims including allowing muslim priests to hold religious sessions to students in Public school premises. Ask yourself, would you or any predominantly muslim country allow that kind of thing to the followers of another faith? But your are doing the right thing - if any one is not happy here then, yes, leave. I wish you well.

Good video and some very fair comments myself being an immigrant as well. I only got into Canada from being in the trades and it was a trade that Canada wanted and I’ve been here now for 35 years \nWe all know the common sense we all know having immigrants into a country on the whole is a good it’s when the demands from immigrants start affecting her culture Norway of life instead of changing our culture and our way of life. You all have options and choices in life and they can go home , as we all know it, the passport has been given to us is a privilege not an expectation

New immigrants dont integrate in Canada or Canadian life. The priviledge of going to school is for study not PR. Its not a back door immigration program. You dont go to any other country and make demands or protest. Few if any go in the needed trades so time to go home. The numbers are unsustainable and its killing communities with housing and jobs as well as limited resources like healthcare and education. Governments and post secondary have failed Canadians who have had enough of paying the price and need borders closed. Clearly somewhere along the line these students are coming with false promises and expectations. With housing crisis if Colleges and Universities cant house all those they bring over on campus and provide the housing then higher caps to meet who they can house. Failure to do so close them down. Most communities are in emergency state for homelessness so of course no sympathy or tolerance for protests. Schools are for study only not a back door.

The real question is Canada vs Florida because the U.S. consists of many mini countries that have agreed on a common constitutional document and basic laws but otherwise are different countries. With that said Canada loses on every metric that matters to Florida. From economics to taxes to business to self defense and personal property Florida wins. The U.S. is secular but politicians of all nations will bring it up to some degree thinking this is somehow unique to the U.S. means you don’t understand the U.S. When it comes to political and religious diversity the U.S. has a larger population consisting of the entire world its by definition diverse. Canada doesn’t have sensible gun laws it just leaves those who can’t defend themselves at great risk.\n\nCrime is high in cities that have laws & culture closer to Canada than they do the U.S. Which have the strictest gun laws in the country. It’s bad politics & culture which are most similar to Canada that has resulted in higher crime rates. \n\nGun laws in the U.S. are for Americans to have the option to fight against a tyrannical government like we have scene in Canada with the truckers and mass freezing of bank accounts. That is what the right to bear arms was for first and foremost not just self defense. Canada ignores this entirely and instead has the perspective of give the government all the power and expect government to be “good” and act in good faith to the people which it has continually failed to do so. Canada has to bribe Quebec just to keep its country together something that has been an issue since the founding of Canada is parts of it breaking off due to tyrannical federal government power abuse.\n\nFreedom comes with risks but it’s always better to be free.\n\nPeople who leave the U.S. for Canada are doing so for political reasons otherwise they can leave their blue progressive crime filled cities for free cheap safe red states.\n\nI encourage all Canadians to search moving from Canada to Florida and you will find many Canadians that realized the American Dream. Which is still alive and well in states like Florida.

Forgotten lust the good old days ; you’re living it now you just need to open your eyes and enjoy them , do you expect a loaf of bread to be 30 cents well then you’re dreaming of decades past , of course things are more expensive today and there is something to say about budgeting it works if you know what it means and apply it to your life daily , sacrifices have to be made for the average working grunt to get ahead in life , keeping up with the Jones will make you feel helpless , and the Jones are neck deep in debt , happy with less or miserable and so much debt you’re suffocating, it’s your choice , I really hope it’s a happy life you make for yourself . and let the downers making these videos rejoice together in their sorry excuse filled lives .

Some of the stats cited here are straight up wrong or... creatively employed, and there's a lot of contradictory information and the typical conservative 'the sky is falling' sensationalism and misattribution. That said, the bas supposition isn't wrong. The bubble we've been sitting on for 20 or so years has completely burst. As someone born and raised in the Toronto area, it's impossible for me to afford to own a house or apartment here on a teacher's salary. Even rent pushes me to the limit unless I want to live in a... less than nice area. I'm living hand to mouth and enjoying the benefits of living in a 'developed' country less. Here's why:\n\n1. Wages aren't really even close to keeping up with the cost of living. The first tick upwards a bit. The second just keeps rising on the back of housing, food, amenities, and inflation: the four horsemen.\n\n2. Our grocery cabal ruthlessly raise prices whenever we look away, and their lobbyists are all ensconced within the leadership of our three major parties, particularly the Conservatives (so if anyone thinks that electing them will help, they're in for a nasty surprise).\n\n3. We're experiencing 'labour shrinkflation': increasing duties are downloaded onto workers and more is expected: more productivity, more availability (almost 24/7 in some jobs), and higher qualifications. Meanwhile, real wages are decreasing relative to living cost, more positions are 'contract', which is basically a way for employers to not have to give you benefits, and job security is tenuous for a lot of people.\n\n4. Houses are being bought by investors and not owners. Foreign entities are money laundering. The wealthy upper crust of high population countries are moving here and buying property because Canada is (still) more safe and stable and less repressive than their home countries in most cases. \n\n5. There's a cycle beginning: as people are squeezed and forced to spend more on 'needs', they spend less on eating out, entertainment, and other 'wants'. These are significant drivers of the service economy and they're being hit hard. So, what can they do? They can let go of workers or lower product costs to remain profitable, but they their quality declines and, in a market where people are pinching every penny and looking for quality for their dollar, they're less likely to go back. They can raise their prices, of course, but then they price people out completely and their profits still tank. I went to a decent steakhouse for my dad's 60th last week. I can't remember the last time that I went to one before that. \n\n6. Our politicians and news cycles focus on the most niche and irrelevant stuff because it'll stoke anger and get tongues wagging. This carbon thing is almost a non-issue, but our conservative leader is harping on about it like it's singlehandedly the death of the Canadian economy when it's a drop in the bucket. Trudeau focuses on 'equity' measures, hoping for a bit of cheap good press, while his efforts are, for the most part, just window dressing and the issues, while meaningful, are often not of paramount importance or even applicable to the vast majority of the people who elected him. Meanwhile, the middle class is pretty much evaporating as he speaks. The NDP keep talking about this in a pretty real way, for what it's worth, but Jagmeet Singh is giving off an increasing vibe of just being another fat cat politician beneath his rhetoric these days. Also, third-party trolls and screeching conservatives try to bury him on social media whenever he speaks... a lot more than other leaders as well, oddly. I wonder why? Oh yeah, the Greens exist and there's Quebec and the conspiracy theory party.\n\n\nUltimately, what we're experiencing is the revenge of the feudal system. Instead of paying rents to your lord and doing labour on the land for him whenever commanded to, you pay rent to your landlord now and go to work even when you're sick or when work hours are over because you have no union protection or are working 'on contract'. Unless we want to live in the armpit of nowhere, 95% of us are going to be wage slaves living hand-to-mouth, not owning our own property, and working to please our corporate overlords if current trends continue unchecked. While some of Canada's problems are unique, I fear that most aren't. As for me, I'm headed to the 'armpit of nowhere' where I can at least have a ghost of a chance of affording life.
