There is nothing wrong with rigorous checks. I would want the same for India as well. Vet who gets to enter the country! No one should get a free pass. Ultimately, visitors must benefit the receiving country in some way and not impose additional burden! Being a proud Indian and living in NZ from a decade I can say it's not just the equality.\nThe amount of frauds we do in our visa application just to enter a foreign land, I can speak on behalf of NZ, makes it difficult for the next batch of applications coming from that region.\nI won't label that with racism because every country has the right to protect its borders. NZ, Aus in particular has a strong and proud Indian diaspora with more and more Indians successfully coming in every year. These are east Indians coming from the UK. They had US visas from the UK. What is Canada to do when they are in transit passengers from the UK and given fake or real but seems fake US visas. All international intransit passengers dont go through customs at their stop over country. Its an international fact. What's even more sickening? Is people from Washington would come in and take some of the Indians out. And when they came back, I would ask them questions and they said that the government people would get information on their family back in India and see if they could pay 50k to stay in America. It was sickening. I found out that what they were doing was deporting. Poor people and the people that have money back in their country. They have their families send money and let them stay.
