All of us who are sane Americans are absolutely sickened by the way FOTUS (F for FELON) is treating our allies. I am pissed off and I’m embarrassed that he was voted in. I am proud to say I have NEVER supported or voted for that ignorant fool! Hopefully, we can get rid of him soon and begin to repair our relationships with our allies and begin to rebuild our reputation in the world.

Anyone of sound mind, a leader, a government would want to continue to strengthen relationships with it's neighbors BUT instead, deliberately dismantle it and let it's citizens in both countries pay the price. And once again dirty filthy politicians are not looking out for it's citizens. Why are people in power so hell bent on ruining the world?

Im hopeful for a stronger Canada-Europe trade relationship coming from this. Canadians have always been well regarded here, so I welcome a stronger partnership with less hurdles in trade and travel.

This is what happens when you have a compromised leader the way the U.S. does. He is doing Putin's bidding because Putin owns him. Putin has Trump destroying relationships with neighbors, destroying relationships with NATO, and destroying the very government he works for. I thought Canadians generally are not super-nationalistic like the Americans, and Trudeau is not exactly very popular too. But somehow the current US government external policy managed to change both of that. And if the course is not changed ASAP, it will take generations to recover the relationship.

I'm an American with some family ties to Canada and I'm deeply ashamed of how my government under Trump is systematically destroying it's historic relationships with almost all our allies. Trump and his cronies are only interested in the use of raw power to dominate the current geo-political reality. Thank you Trudeau for speaking so bluntly and honestly and for standing up to our bully-in-chief.

As an American, I am ashamed of our president. I apologize to the Canadian people and want them to know that the vast majority of Americans do not support what our president is doing. We will do what we can to stop him, and I hope when this insanity is over, you can forgive us and we can restore our relationship. We know that because of Donald Trump's stupid actions, we will have a lot of work to do in restoring your trust in us. Again, I apologize.

If we are going to be an authoritarian, antidemocratic, fascist dictatorship, we have to shed our old friends who would get all judgy about the the human rights abuses. Mr. Trump you seem to want to conquer and divide relationships at any cost, even with people who care about you. You sabotage yourself and those who are loyal to you. The moment Pres. Trump threatened Canada with the tariff trade war months ago, I was shocked. How come your closest ally, a friend, your closest neighbor, shared the longest border in the world, fought side by side in ww1, ww2, middleast conflicts etc., and now the relationship starts to deteriorate because of one man's arrogance.

It's about money. Specifically Donald Trump getting as much money as possible from this term. Putin likely told him to make sure to distance America from its allies, so that he can use the USAs military gizmos to expand his mission to take over Ukraine amd any other country he wants. All this in exchange for making him and his cronies filthy rich. Trump keeps dropping clues about the plan. Elon, created Doge to weaken the economy even further so that the USAs assest are devalued and he can officially the US oligarchy. He's been in talks with Putin, we've seen them together. So now this Trump Gold card, is a way in for more oligarchs from Russia specifically to sweep up the remaining industries at a fraction of what they used to be valued. Then the USA will be the western arm of Putins empire. Since he made sure to obliterate all friendly relationships the US had with the western world, the other countries won't do anything to help the US so as to avoid all out war. Trump will then walk off into the sunset as one of the richest, if not the richest, man on earth.

CNN has a great way of trying to turn things against the Republicans it’s Canada that has benefited the very most from our US Canadian relationship Canada is very strict immigration laws which is good. What is bad is they allow people from other countries outside US and Canada to fly in and go through the border into United States. from my understanding, and for the most part, probably because I hardly ever listen to CNN news is most Canadians lost trust in their Prime Minister

I’m a dual US/Canadian citizen and have lived decades in both countries. There is no reason for the relationship between these two countries to NOT be the closest and smoothest of any two countries on earth.

Thank you Prime Minister. We will fight for our country Canada, our culture, our values and our economy. We will not negotiate with a country that directly threatens our sovereignty. We hope in future to rebuild a relationship with our neighbours, but only when that can be done in a respectful manner. Time now to unite with other countries and build new trading relationships.
