Well. Based ON THEIR WORD Trump paused the tariffs because of promises made ...... Just like Mexico they said they would secure their borders to help stop the flow if illegal immigrants, drugs, gangs and terrorists into the USA... THEY DID NOT. China did nothing to crack down on fentanyl being smuggled out of their country (although I think they would rather see American people die of overdoses. I really like the way that he said about he's not going to sugar coat anything and he spoke so clearly to inform Americans what is truly going on with what Trump is doing to this country and Trudeau is telling people the truth just like the leader from North Korea. I love all of the trump supporters or bots telling us to ‘go move to Canada’ or ‘leave, then,’ not realizing that if we did, this country wouldn’t be able to sustain itself, and fall faster than their heads could spin\n\nThat level of foresight and intellect tells us exactly why they thought trump would save the economy, lol\n\nWhy do you think they went after Roe, and keep telling us to breed? I have never felt more proud to be a Canadian, it’s a good feeling, I was almost brought to tears earlier thinking about it. And it’s interesting to note that it is overriding the fear of the consequences of Donald’s actions. Here’s where I can’t help but think of you, our fellow North Americans. The good people of the USA, I hold you in my heart. For you don’t have that boost that comes from feeling proud of your country. I can’t say I’ve ever known what that is like. It seems it would leave you gutted, and lost. Can you even describe the feeling, the experience? It has to be one of those things that you can’t know until you experience it. The pride in my country is keeping me going. My heart is crushed thinking that you do not have that. But you need to do everything you can to keep it. It’s what the Donald and his cronies are counting on. Unfortunately, he does not care about you. He wants to crush you. He does not care about America and what it stands for. He only cares about himself. If you do not have the fight that comes from being proud of your country, you guys are gonna be easy pickings. Do everything you can to find pride in your country. There are American banks in Canada. There are not many since they have to follow Canadian rules just like Canadian banks have to follow Canadian rules

Just so it's known but America has never been self-sufficient. We have always been reliant on others with good trade and fairness towards each other. My grandparents went through ww2 and had to go through rations on everything from gas, oil to food and tires. You got a book for everything and had to tear them out to get your products. They said back 1943 they had to keep the farm and barely made it to vday. You all need to look at history and research things. These Republicans and president is gonna ruin farms and cost people to the point they will have to choose their meds or food. I just just don't understand what these blanket tariffs achieve for Americans. Firstly, employment in the US is at an all time high, if the aim is to bring back primary and manufacturing industries then it's just a myth. It's just pointless and mindless. Nobody wants to go back to working in heavy industry, people want high paying, highly specialized industries, this doesn't create that, it just makes cost of living higher so wages have to go up and cost of bringing in raw materials goes up, all things that discourage start up companies that employ well educated and skilled Americans

I haven't enjoyed much of Trudeau's office, but this he owns. He really laid it down here. It made me proud to be Canadian. He absolutely, kicked ass and I hope he just hammers Trump. Trudeau's level of forthrightness and honesty in this situation is (I think) exactly why people voted for him. It makes me feel like he's going to kick Trump's ass.
