People commenting here fail to realize that Latinos are arguably more conservative than the white men they love to hate. Those who voted for Trump did so because they are legal immigrants/citizens, aka, Americans. Aside deportation of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS benefiting them directly, they are also not down with the other Democrat platforms like Abortion and Trans/Gay advocacy. They are majority Catholics.\nThat voting block should never be majority Democrat in the first place, esp this current version of elitist Democrat party.

That means she came at a time when immigration was much easier and wanted, to increase gdp and to do the jobs normal Americans didn’t want to. But republicans now use the immigration card because it’s literally their only option, why do you think Trump stopped the bill. He would be losing so much support. Also, for that old Mexican lady to say those things about her own family, tells me, she is not someone who cares for others or may even care at all. She became a racist just like the republicans and her family should be ashamed of her. Lastly, different times of immigration, this time around, those leaving other countries are trying to save their families lives, having to deal with authoritarian dictators, drug cartels and corrupt governments. She may have had some of that, but I doubt it, she just wanted to move here and make a better life for herself, screw her loved ones. She is an abomination and one of the reasons this country has lost itself, if a Mexican immigrant cannot feel sympathy or empathy for those people in a very similar situation than that person has truly been corrupted by the republicans “all about me” mantra.

they always say they are not racist, then they state that any that come need to have 'canadian values,' which is usually ambiguous, and i think probably racist code for white. as a white person who grew up in brampton, i know first hand how i was treated as the son of european immigrants, to my often scapegoated friends and peers from other asian and Caribbean back grounds. but luckily my life was richer for having grown up in a multicultural environment, where one could be many things, and their was a certain sense of cultural fluidity.

I agree and appreciate your constructive approach to this issue. It would of been easy to play the race card the whole video. I can tell you that it goes both ways here with this issue. It is not right to put good and bad apples in one basket, the bad stands out here more than the good.\nI came from an area of very few Indians and been living in an area of high immigration for many years, so I came from a place of no prejudices. From Poland. Arrived yo Canada at the end of 2020. I am nearing my 4th year here, in a small village. I arrived with my 6-year-old daughter to begin my writing career. Now, 40% of my daughter's childhood has been spent here and I I go to court soon to fight for my child to be returned home to me. After nearly one year- a year of financial hardship because I have to travel without a driver's license and without a group of friends to drive me- I have my very first hearing with a judge in Youth Court in a matter that has no foundation to begin with, follows no rule of law, and acts arbitrarily. My child whom I homeschooled to the praise of the provincial ministry of education and was following a classical liberal arts education path that had her outpacing students in the province was entrusted to the care of a Child Services company (that has a record of placements that have resulted in child murders). My child's life has been irrevocably upset to say the least. NO ONE LEAVING CANADA GIVES THIS STORY AS A RESON FOR QUITTING THIS COUNTRY. I guess no Canadians care about their children like I do my precious gift from God. True, O come from the former Soviet Union where Marshal Law (Emergency Measures Act) were commonplace. I lived through two in Canada in 4 years: one Federal, and one through Provincial Youth Court where I await my turn to see a judge after my daughter was removed from my care. People do not know they have no biological ownership of their children, because I guess few Canadians value their children to care about their own laws. But these laws also apply to immigrants too. What money was taken from me during the move and resettlement, the government takes by creating more expenses for me than I could ever imagine or budget for. Emotionally, I am a wreck. Rather than commencing my writing career, I have been seeking low-income lawyers, reading the provincial law on Youth Protection, filing complaints within a circular system (the watchdog is part of the system not outside of it) and preparing all evidence to prove I have done nothing wrong [just like in communist rule]. Have you ever given any thought to the difficulties in proving your innocence? \nNO ONESEEMS AWARE OF THIS DETERENT TO BRINGING CHILDREN TO CANADA. NO ONE. IT IS THE ONLY ONE I COULD NOT PLAN FOR. All other complaints like the economy, or the weather, or inflation I have survived. But taking away my child, my reason to settle in Canada for a life of freedom for her, my legacy, was unthinkable. People ask me in this small village where is my daughter. Their rosy cheeks become snow white when I tell them. Canadians here are unaware and scared like cattle in a thunder storm. Many are addicted to welfare payments, cannabis, prescription drugs, and television. They all seem to be waiting in a pen of fear. I am stuck here now, with little financial resource to fight for my child's life. It is unfortunate that no one will read my comment because it is an inscrutable wall of text or too frightening. I like multiculturalism and this country is founded on immigration. But we need to put cap on each country when receiving them so to maintain the balance of good mix.\n\nI get bothered why this guy statistically divide white vs others. Canada isn't a nation of immigrants at all. Canadians are the descendants of immigrants the same as everyone else on the planet, including the indigenous. I am not A Canadian I’m an American, but I interact with lots of Canadians as they find themselves coming down here for one reason to the other and I’m not near the border either. I’m quite far into the US in a major US city.\n\nThere are two types of Canadians that distinct themselves. The first group is the ones that are themselves immigrants that are naturalized. I make this distinction because many cases they have not assimilated. They still have their own culture from another country and is pointed out by the narrator people from south Asia and Asia strongly have their culture And language \n\n( Canada is good for allowing people to live in communities to cut themselves off from the main screen. You have people who speak the Ukrainian language Going Back 4 generations)\n\nThen I’m gonna have to use a euphemism that might make peoples hair stand on the back of their neck. I’m gonna call them. The white Canadians has a euphemism. These are people who are going so far back from the British Isles for the most part and the French also speak another language who have no connection to Europe. The English-speaking Canadians who are you from white could walk down or come down to the US and fit right in in a matter of weeks if they’re not already assimilated into the US Culture ( I hope I don’t see any fireworks start coming from this comment) Many of these white Canadians are now more economically disadvantage than the newer Asian and south Asian immigrants and find themselves often times competing for resources with these newer immigrants. Instead of at the time redirecting half of those two it was 500 billion take a half of that investment in putting it into infrastructure technology innovation for industries. Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. However GCC, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland provide much much more better facilities and employment for global immigrants. There is no reason, why people will come to Canada for jobs. Gulf offers much more jobs and attractive salaries than Canada and savings potential is much much more in that region.

This whole idea of groups of people taking over and changing a landscape is the cycle of human history. White Europeans aren't the first 'Canadians' lol. It may make people uncomfortable but just deal and remember we are all just humans trying to make a life, have a family and income. Expats do go to other countries and make their own little clubs, take over land and business. People seek opportunities no matter where they go. The only point I would agree with here is that the rate of immigration may not be sustainable with the housing shortage etc.

Even tho most Canadians in the earlier years were mostly white, it was multicultural because they all came from many other countries and cultures. They still held on to their traditions but yet also formed a Canadian culture.\nTheir was a huge population of Chinese people too. They stuck together in large areas, many didn't speak english. Similar to Quebec maybe. They mostly spoke french and I remember a time when they didn't really like english speaking whites around. Seems like the premier would like it to stay that way. Protecting the culture. \nIn the 80's on the west coast I watched thousands of Sikh's and Punjabi's and similar move into large areas and take over many jobs in large companies. Lumber mills, rail yards, papermills and so on. I went to one job interview and outside the office window was a whole shift of people wearing turbans. Must have been 50 to a 100 of them. 3 years earlier when I toured that place in grade 12, it was all white people. What happened? That was around the time of the recession and jobs were getting scarce. The only people in line for job interviews were white people and the interviewers would not accept anyone without grade 12 and previous experience. Here is what I overheard as people were getting interviewed, Experience? No. NEXT. Experience? Yes. Graduate? No. NEXT!\nAfter 6 months of this I moved to oil country Alberta and Had 6 job call backs in the first day. At 2 to 3 times the pay I would have had in BC. Never looked back. But now that the industry has been attacked and the immigration has skyrocketed, Alberta is in decline.\nJust my 2 cents worth, and the people I mentioned back then, I have nothing against. I knew many and they were good people. \nBut the immigrants of today I feel to many are of another breed and not the same as before them.

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. I can confirm that there's really nothing in Canada. They have no jobs and the Jobs they give to Black Immigrants in particular, whether you have a degree or not, are generally seasonal summer jobs in warehouses, working with plastic injection molding machines. This is an interesting overview of Canada and its many issues. I would love to see a follow up video or two looking into these same issues but from a few different perspectives. 1) regionally - Canada is very diverse so our regions are quite different in culture, problems and cause of each. The major regions are: Maritimes/Ontario/Quebec/Prairies/West Coast/ Territories. 2) because of our diverse landscape different races are attracted to different areas. I have not studied this impact on our racism and political issues but would love to see someone like you do so. It appears to me that immigrants are disproportionately gathered along the US/Canada border and big cities, particularly east and west coast. First Nations are disproportionately populated in Rural and northern areas where resources overall are less available to all races. I would expect to find that this population disbursement would also reflect in our political leadership. For example more populated cities are far more likely to have immigrant own businesses and politicians, In rural and northern communities politicians are more likely to be white because First Nations politicians would be more inclined to work within the First Nations political channels where they can actually do more good for their communities. 3) The diversity that makes up 'white' as a race. It appears to me that Canada historically has been more inclined to attract 'White' races versus other 'colours'. We have large populations of British, Swedish, Irish, Russian, Ukrainian, French, Norwegian, and Polish to name a few. All of which have large diversity in their culture and history but are often classified as 'white'. 4) The massive impact the past 5 + years of politics and world affairs have had on the divisions within Canada. Personally I see and feel far, far more judgements between races, economics and regions than ever before.

When I think of the US the first word that comes to mind is THANKFUL. Thankful that all my ancestor’s immigrated to Canada. Especially the United Empire Loyalist’s that came and settled in Ontario. The issue here is not that we have a housing crisis , first of all let’s start with honesty. I have multiple friends from different culture backgrounds, however, one thing that sticks out to me , and some of you may not want to hear it , it’s that most of my friends that are predominantly “white” have become homeless or nearly missed it by being able to get some rental assistance either through local or federal grants. American Citizens are now 2nd class compare to Illegal immigrants who stay in hotels in NYC costing thousands for days but the black Latino and white citizens need to share a filty shelter...... ?????\n\nSure I really feel bad for this people but then I need to leave my children outside so some unknown needy person can come into my home, get shelter and then DEMAND PRIVILEGES that should only be for Americans?\n\nAmericans first ...... then if we can, we can help out others but our family first 1,000% and that is no racist or inhuman, that is just how any family would do it.....????
