We the Americans are asking Canada to pay their fare share of trade!

How can he be speaking directly to president Trump? I don’t see Trump? Trump’s not crying. Who’s whining? Who’s crying? Who’s going to start paying their fair share? Who’s going to stop gaming the US? Lots of questions.

Canada doesnt have much production at home. they will be getting goods from Europe now and other countries paying on the top more then 40% just for logistical purposes . Canadians... everything will come from your own pocket. Think about it.

When Canada cuts off the water, car parts, etc. and people start losing jobs such as car manufacturing, there will be a price to pay. All these years US has a trade deficit of 1 trillion dollars every year. With tariffs we could have recovered 250 billion every year. That is a lot of money. Currently every American owes $110,000 because of the accumulated debt of 36.5 trillion.\n\nJustin, how long are we supposed to bend back wards while US has a trade deficit of trillion dollar over the past 20 years. Why cant to you balance the imports and exports so that you don't have to keep taking advantage of USA. CNN did not see the trade deficit every single year for 20 years? what are they talking about? If tariffs were there in 2024, US would have gotten back 15 billion dollar revenue from Canada and Mexico would have paid 46 billion to USA. All this time, this was affecting only Americans and while you are enjoying not paying for your share, you have made US pay by taking loans to pay for the imports increasing our Debt. Yes it has been hurting America for the past 20 years, otherwise how did we accumulate 36.5 trillion debt.\n\nLike Justin said, if Canada can survive while paying 15 billion to USA, of course USA will do fine while collecting the 15 billion from Canada and 46 billion form Mexico. I just just don't understand what these blanket tariffs achieve for Americans. Firstly, employment in the US is at an all time high, if the aim is to bring back primary and manufacturing industries then it's just a myth. It's just pointless and mindless. Nobody wants to go back to working in heavy industry, people want high paying, highly specialized industries, this doesn't create that, it just makes cost of living higher so wages have to go up and cost of bringing in raw materials goes up, all things that discourage start up companies that employ well educated and skilled Americans

Also, why do we have to pay to keep the US border secure? Doesn't the US have the largest military? I'd assume they have one of the largest police forces in the world, not to mention their large government agencies. Why not put some of that defence spending into border security? Why do we have to pay for it?
