What this video doesnt address is why arn't german young people getting skilled for these in demand jobs? Aging population cannot be the only factor. I have my own personal experience with living in germany, and feel the video tries to diminish the severity of the issues. I can relate to all the comments: xenophobia, neighbors literally spying on you and complaining to the authorities, unnecessarily complicated paperwork, the great free medical care? waiting times for care are months and months long! You will never be integrated even if you speak the language, you will always be a foreigner and not accepted. Similarly, i left for the netherlands - it was like night and day and have been here for the past 10 years. There are challenges here as well - eg. housing crisis, but the people and environment is a lot more positive.

I had been living in Germany for a very long time, before I moved to the Netherlands several years ago. If we compare DE to NL, than I would indicate the following main advantages of each country:\n\n?? 1) low prices for food and relatively low rental prices for apartments (the prices in NL are at least two times higher) 2) the enterprises are more willing to invest in their employees (in NL you must be already a very skilled/talented worker) 3) if we speak about the German health care system, then you can directly approach a specialist without visiting your GP, even though you must wait an eternity for your Termin (in NL is your huisarts always a key decision maker). 4) The Germans are more friendly towards foreigners (probably because they made a lot of experience with them, due to the mass immigration)\n\n??1) much lower taxes and premiums 3K net salary = 4,2K list salary = 5,2 K premiums (in DE the same 3K net=5K list=8K premiums, of course approximately). 2) much much less courts/lawsuits/warnings about every crumb (have you ever heard about the German Abmahnindustrie???) 3) the young people in NL are the priority (even if we compare the Corona pandemic time, the whole German society strongly prioritized the older ones) 4) much more order in the cities/villages and much less pre-conventional/spoiled immigrants/freeloaders (step out from the same train in Aachen and in Maastricht- you will instantly notice the difference!).\n\nHope to have informed you all sufficiently ??

It's all fine and well that you want to leave Canada but where will you go that's any better? After all it is your choice. The problems we see happening around the world are a global problem. There are at least 2 major wars going on. Inflation is rampant in most countries in the world and we ARE heading for a global economic depression that will dwarf anything that we've seen in the 1930's. Speaking for myself my roots are here in Canada which is not the Canada I grew up in anymore. Sadly. Used to be a really great place to live until Trudeau and his band of thieves ruined it. I may as well make my last stand here. If I was going to move where would I go. The EU? Absolutely not! They're tanking. America? No effing way! The American empire is collapsing. Along with the FED note. South America? Don't think so. Most S. American countries are iffy at best. Australia? No. They're nuts. New Zealand? No. They're struggling badly and people are leaving there in droves. Africa? No way in hell. So that doesn't leave very much. Antarctica? Little on the cold side. Few amenities. ;) May as well stay where I am and take my chances. Better the devil I know than the one I don't. If you're serious about moving out of Canada be sure to do your due diligence and research about your target country. Grass always looks greener on the other side but many times isn't once you get there. One place that I AM attracted to is the Azores. Beautiful place. Friendly people. Good climate. One drawback is that I don't speak Portuguese. And I would have to be independently wealthy. After a certain amount of time out of the country I would lose my Canadian pension. It's said that where we are is where we're supposed to be. I may as well take my chances, make the best of a crappy situation and stay here. There really is no better or worse place than Canada. The majority of the countries in the world are struggling with their own problems. I'm not willing to jump from the frying pan into the fire. One of the biggest reasons I want to stay in Canada is that if it does come to a nuclear shooting war it would be very unlikely that Canada would be attacked. So here I'll stay. For better or worse. The LIberals won't be in power forever and if people have the smallest amount of sense, so few will vote for them in the next election that the Liberals will lose party status. I fervently hope that happens. ;)

I had the same issues as an expat in other countries and other expats who I talked to too. It's always the same.\n\nLanguage barrier:\nFor day to day activities it's less of a problem in bigger cities. For most jobs you simply need a higher level of a language for team work. If you're motivated I believe you can get to C1 in 6 months, with good learning techniques. That said you're probably not motivated. Learning a new language feels like hard work and you feel awkward speaking it.\n\nHard to meet friends:\nSame for all other countries. Create your own social circles or try sports, similar interests to get to know people. \n\nHow people treat you:\nIf you feel unwelcome, it's probably just all in your head because you're not accustomed to a different culture, so you feel like a foreigner. Got nothing to do with Germany, but with being an expat. \n\nRacism:\nProbably less of a problem in western Germany and bigger cities. Avoid east Germany. Also see previous point.

I mean, you come to a country and you have to adjust and learn the language. Pretty straightforward, and most of us are doing it.\n\nBut when on the other side you have people who do not understand the effort and have no patience for it, it is a frustrating experience. People always seem to be surprised about why populations turn against immigrants. Small numbers of immigrants that assimilate into your culture that don't require a lot of social services can be absorbed into the social fabric of a town, city, or country. Massive influx of foreigners don't speak your language and require years of social benefits that they don't pay in to, rapidly turn the existing population hostile. Canada, unlike the US, was always more of a salad than a melting pot. Many separate ingredients in one bowl. It wasn't that long ago that Canada was dealing with the Quebecois issue. Beyond that, there are issue with First Nations relations. To expect Canada to be a melting pot is too much. It's a country primarily of English speakers, a large number of French speakers mainly concentrated in Quebec, First Nations people, and then European immigrants who in a generation or two become more basic English-speaking Canadians. I am a Muslim woman. I lived in Dubai, Malaysia, Morocco and China. I would recommend Malaysia to answer most of the reasons that you stated: it is Muslim country, the weather is always sunny with rain sometimes, halal food everywhere, most people speaks English, mosque nearby, beautiful nature, friendly people, cost of living reasonable, big community of foreigners, parks and good quality school for kids and the list go on ?

Just remember wherever you guys pick make sure that they speak the same dialect that you do otherwise you're going to have that learning curve of learning their dialects. It is different in a lot of places like learning to speak like the yemeni do is different than the Pakistani. So just keep that in mind. My grandfather is from Yemen and his wife who is my grandmother and my dad's side is from sudan. And they used to tell me it took them a while to understand each other. My Syrian grandmother on my mom's side would teach me words and phrases and my grandpa who was from Yemen would always make fun of me because I wasn't saying stuff right. I'm not really good at speaking Arabic but I can get by so just remember when you guys are picking somewhere to pick a place that won't be that hard to understand people. I'm only saying that because with the kids you guys send the kids to school they may learn a different dialect than what you taught at home and it will be a learning curve for them to try to understand. But I'm sure you guys will make the right decision. I just figured I would throw that in there I'm sure you already know that the dialects are a lot different and Arabic is a lot different in different parts of the world. People think Arabic is all the same and it's really different. Just like people who speak Spanish in South America speak different dialects on the Puerto Ricans just like people in Brazil don't speak Spanish they speak portuguese. Just a thing to think about. I lived two years in the south of the usa (in Texas) during my childhood in the 90's and it wasn't so bad. Weather was great ! People nice and great ! I did love the school there, I learn English there and math was super easy. In Canada, I went in a catholic schools and we were obligated to say a prayer before class begin. You can save so much time for so little money and with that time you can work for even more money or go have a great time. Let’s all live like KING! Be a Great person without doing anything! \nWe want to be good neighbors, but my room is just too comfy. Let’s use migrants and help them out, immigrants can do all the labor-intensive and poop work so our healthcare workers can focus more on the health of the patients. This will reduce hospital bills since labor is a major cost to any business. We will also all receive better care at the hospital. \n \nUS companies and foreign companies are building factories in India or in Mexico when the same workers are at our doors. Let's build them here in the USA and we English speakers will have to manage them unfortunately since that’s the language of the Country. If you speak Spanish and English, you are going to have many jobs. \nEverything important should be made in America with all these workers. We can all have our own factories and business and exploit cheap labor flocking to our Great Country. The CBC is a huge issue in Canada. It’s funded ENTIRELY with tax dollars therefore the government decides what we watch, even if no one wants to watch it at all, and the CBC is 100% in love with the Liberal government and all of their news is blatant propaganda. Why not? The Liberals increased the CBC budget to 1.6 Billion a year of course they want to spin the news to help them especially when you consider the fact that many Conservatives want it defunded completely because they are tired of the spin. \nAnother issue is that some areas of Canada make the decisions for the rest of the country. Ontario and Quebec have large populations therefore when it comes to federal elections they basically always get their way even if everyone in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba disagrees. \nAlso, Quebec gets treated completely differently than the rest of the country. They have special deals when it comes to university tuition and child care, they have their own political party that no one else can vote for, and they force the rest of the country to have French all over the place and on everything which is mostly pointless and very few people in Canada can only speak French and can’t understand the English. The amount of crappy, unwatchable French TV/radio shows we outside Quebec have to pay for with tax dollars is beyond ridiculous.\nI know this comment will get hate especially since I mentioned Quebec which is a touchy subject.

You are wrong about Canada protecting and caring about homeless and in-need people. The reality is that even though you don't see all the homeless people, there are tens of thousands of them in each city, more so in the warmer climates. The UN has already been on Canada's back for the abuse of homeless people and the cruelty towards them and those with mental health problems. Canada is a fraud and has been deceiving immigrants and visitors for over a hundred years. Many of the homeless people in Canada, especially in the past 20 years and from the start of the pandemic, continuing to this day, are now including people with good educations and many years of high-level job experiences, as well as whole families. These people became homeless because of massive job layoffs and lost everything. Contrary to the popular Canadian ideology, homeless people are not lazy slobs who don't bother to work and need to get their acts together. Many of the homeless shelters are filled with dangerous people, bed bugs, and diseases. Many homeless people choose to find alternatives to sleep safely. Many homeless women experience terrible sexual assaults that rarely are reported and rarely ever taken seriously by the police. Most alternatives to shelters are limited and there are so many restrictions that qualifying doesn't always happen. Many have had their ID stolen, so they are unable to get jobs, rent homes, or even have a day to shower and clean their clothes. Most donations of clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags are disregarded because most homeless people don't have the means to carry things. Their nutrition is terrible, through no fault of their own. Many food banks will not give food to those without a home. Many soup kitchens will only help periodically and not for every meal. Canada's treatment of homeless people and mentally people is not just disgraceful, but criminal. The general attitude of many Canadians, as taught to them by deliberate government propaganda, is that if you are poor or were abused or a victim of crime, is that they did something to deserve it. Rents across Canada are beyond the reach of the majority of Canadians, yet, Canada refuses to set up a council house system like the UK. There are no emergency homes and no emergency assistance even close to what the UK and other countries across the world provide. Canada's continued abuse, ill-treatment, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the First Nations peoples is not a past history, but an ongoing history that is not about reconciliation. It is about shutting them up so that they cannot speak and get true justice, instead of just a federal government settlement of a meager amount that has only increased the addictions of victims, who have no one to help them or a place to turn. Canada lies about trauma help and treatment for people for having been victims, or have developed PTSD (this is a brain injury and only a mental health problem if the person becomes suicidal or is unable to do the basics of essential living), and worse, Canada lies about this in relation to kids. Alberta has a place that they claim is for treating trauma in kids. However, this place is nothing more than a low-level counseling center to reunite kids with their parents, who have been removed by law. Any child requiring help has to deal with just basic counselors, who are not trained in helping traumatized and PTSD kids. In relation to the First Nations peoples, if the teens have mental health issues, and if they have to be temporarily hospitalized by their parents, social workers and doctors will force joint custody with the parents, to treat the kids or remove them so they can carry on the government's crimes against the First Nations peoples. The crimes continue. In these past few months, a baby was left to die in a basket at a nurse's station in the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta. The mother was allegedly treated like garbage and her child was allegedly called a specimen. But this is not the only case of such abuse of First Nations pregnant mothers and their children. A case over a decade ago allegedly also took place, and the number of these cases in this hospital alone may possibly be much higher, and other hospitals may also be hiding such crimes. An infant, who was the victim of attempted murder by one or the other parent, was put in the care of relatives by social workers, who were totally unaware of the crime, but the one parent, who was put in the hospital's mental health unit, mentioned a version of what had happened, and when the relatives found out, they were allegedly reassured by the hospital that they would deal with the matter. The relatives believed, understandably, that the hospital would report the crime, but it never did. Allegedly the hospital covered up yet another crime. The police in the city, allegedly informed at some point, one of the relatives that no charges could be laid even if the child remembered as the Canadian health services do not believe that children below the age of 4 can remember anything. It was when I heard about this that I realized that the reason Canada has gotten away with the crimes against the 1st Nations, immigrants, Canadians, and who knows how many other victims, through the mandated alleged use of forced assimilation and the alleged Soviet-style education system, is because of this fake claim that children and even infants cannot remember things. This deliberate lie to those relatives allegedly by the police, shows clearly that Canada is following the dangerous path in a more stealthy fashion than the Nazis did to the Jews and others they rounded up, arrested, tortured, and/or eventually murdered. Your perceptions are limited by your obvious lack of real knowledge and real experience. The U.S. is very large, and there are many different types of people and many different types of neighborhoods, cities, and communities. I have lived where neighbors knew one another very well, and their kids would play ball in the street or play baseball at the local park or playground. I have lived where there are walking trails where you would see the same familar faces time and again. I have lived where there were many community activities. There are places where you can find farmer's markets and where churches are large and hold events. Our town has many groups that you can join, and there is a local theater. There are cities of course, where you can find all sorts of things to do. People do have a tendency in many places to have their spaces, and as most people do have what they need within those spaces...and many are spending more and more time on computers and watching televisions, we are becoming more estranged than we once were. We have come to value privacy. But, again, there are many many people with many different lifestyles. Today I went to shop at two different stores and ended up in conversations with several people. One man invited me to visit his farm. One woman told me all about her home and garden. Another lady told me about her daughter and what was going on with their family. I did not feel like a stranger, and the people I saw working in different businesses today were talkative and interacting with many other people, including friends and neighbors and other familiar faces. it just takes a little effort to smile and to speak. That being done, I was very happy to return to my home and have my own space again, where I knew I could take a nap without anyone knocking unexpectedly on my door. So....it depends on what you want. I would hesitate to paint the U.S. with a very broad brush. \nThat being said, it is very difficult to leave your home behind. It can be very difficult to stop seeing differences because you did love so many things about where you grew up, though you might not realize how much you will miss them until you've gone. I feel that in myself, and I have to be very careful not to miss the potential and possibilities where I am, because I am always thinking about how I miss where I once was.

It is such a shame that follow Asians and even American Natives play such a role in perpetuating racism against African descent people, but I guess they have their issues of identity. That should not be so difficult to calculate. I used to live in Brampton and this is the city where I first landed. No hatred for the city but people have ruined it. I'm a brown guy myself so I can't be racist against my own people and tbh, some of the best people I know in Canada are Sikhs but even they accept the fact that there is a large number of bad apples in their community. Sikhs have played a major part in both positive and negative way, to make and break this city.\n\nInsurance scams in Brampton cost their citizens to pay one of the highest premiums in the country. Generally, drivers in Brampton have no fuckin' idea how to drive because the licences were literally bought. \n\nA large number of people of our brown community always hell bent on abusing the system, wherever they go. We bring the same back home mindset here in Canada rather follow the system. \n\nThe only thing mostly brown community is focused on is how to make money and that's all. Don't try to learn the language, don't like to mix with people, don't care about the laws or anything. They only like to have nice big houses, show off their leased fancy cars and that's all.\n\nI left this city for good and don't regret my decision at all when I see numerous videos about the bad situation in Brampton. I'd love to move back to Ontario but cannot live in this city anymore. One thing really pissed me off when I was there that most people expect every brown person to speak Punjabi and when I used to tell them that I don't speak or understand Punjabi, you could see the surprized looks on their face.

Don't go to stores where you do not feel welcomed, you can always shop online\n6. Don't go to restaurants or coffee shops where you do not feel welcomed\n7. When calling into a company for help/support, and you donot feel welcomed, just hang up and call again until you speak with someone nice.\n8. Nobody really cares about your complaints, so dont call into a company to yell and scream, just cancel the service and go with another company\n9. Go with your gut feeling, sometimes you do not feel like leaving the house, just don't.\n10. In general, try to be with friends and go to places where you feel safe.

I have zero issues with immigrants seeking a better life in another country, being one myself, but a few things about some immigrants baffle me always. How do people expect to be welcomed and accepted by the folks of another country when they don't even bother to learn the language. This guys been in the US for 15 years and can't speak any English? Its not the worse case , I've seen people live far longer 30 or 40 years in countries like the UK where I'm from and they cannot speak a word of English because they choose to live in a self imposed microcosm of the country they came from. \nThey have to understand that it's very insulting to native people and citizens of a country that you want to be treated as a citizen yourself but won't make efforts to adapt to the language and cultures of the country you have chosen to live in, I cannot think of a better way to ostracize yourself than failing to learn the language.\n It would be far easier to have sympathy for your cause if you are able to show that you have integrated and intend to be a citizen of that country 100% and the easiest way is to be able to communicate your cause yourself.

A lot of these people do not have respect for people who speak English they make fun of English-speaking people in Spanish always say they don't speak English when they speak fluent English and turn around and look at you like you're crazy
