My wife is a immigrant. We had been married 2 years before I was finally able to get her here with me. Even with being a veteran it didn't give us no entitlement with the legal immigration policy. I had to prove that I could financially support us. This was during Trumps last term & she is still waiting to be awarded citizenship. I have no pity for these illegal immigrants. They shouldn't b awarded no special treatment. Get in line with the rest of us legal immigrants.

In CNN's defense, there aren't many news media groups who can keep up with the accomplishments of President Donald Trump. Trump has held more press conferences and answered more press questions in one week than Biden in the last 4 years. Trump has been to North Carolina, which still doesn't have power, water, sewer, or gas lines restored with no federal aid and California working successfully with Democrat leaders there. You can hate his policies and him and you probably hate yourself too, but he's the most accomplished hard working POTUS in US history.

I am so glad those countries are standing up to this bully and his fascist party. I am also glad he is putting tariffs on them which means things over here will become higher for all of us. Yes the good is going to have to suffer with those that wanted to see how it feels to have this country ran by the lawless, no morals racists people in this country. To have rapist, drunks and traitor to this country in charged. And those White people that voted for him they are going to feel it to maybe even more because he takes his money right out of their account every month and they can not stop it. No different just different level in life but in God's eyes they all on the same worshipping a man. And to the rich read about the rich man that went to hell, and about the rich man that built his barn. We only make them strong they can only do what we allowed them to do. There are more good in this country than those evil people. I hear a man say you can take 100 evil people and make millions fall in line and do what they say because they fear what the evil people can do. One thing I do know for sure God and me are enough... but God and me and millions more of children we will do just fine in the next two years and more.

don’t judge too much. I’m not saying this is good for anyone that is living in ????. we already have a very bad housing crisis etc happening . but i definitely understand why they come.i have great empathy for them .. i feel horrible for them. these people aren’t lining up for black Friday deals or Taylor Swift tickets. these human beings are living in poverty, in danger in their own home countries. They want better for their children!! i’d actually question why they didn’t try for better (not actually, i have no right to judge them ..the lack of $ and danger would make most adults question if it’s the right thing to do). \nwe really need to remember...we aren’t special as human beings. we don’t deserve to live here more then they do. Our families just happen to cross the ocean(we weren’t even from the same land, like most of them, they want to cross a boarder that WE created) in the right decade, right century!! \nwe all came here and took from others. when we bought our land, built our homes, etc if you think back really it didn’t belong to them to sell it to us. It was stollen lands from the Native Americans. And we did such horrible things to natives for centuries!! we TOOK TOOK TOOK while nothing but destruction was given to them in return They are the REAL AMERICANS!!! \nAnd we killed them, we destroyed their communities, separated families, brought and spread diseases that killed thousands, kicked them off of their lands to go to areas we knew they couldn’t thrive, then we took their rights to hold & spend their own money, then stole that money that was to help them set up communities crops food and left them for dead !! we stole their babies from their mothers and fathers and we did this as recently as 50 years ago. \nso remember the day the first white man stepped on North American land was the last day we could say this was the land of the free !! \n\nwe have taken taken and taken from the ? fkd the world over.\nRemember..Americans are the reason south America has the dangerous gangs, cartels poverty,corruption,deaths we buy 40% of all drugs made there just one country buys 40%!! but why change things...when our leaders are benefiting hugely from the chaos. who cares about Mexican, South America families Just get them off our doorsteps ..right. ?\njust don’t think we aren’t Next !! ????

I agree it should end however let me explain my situation I'm white American I got into a relationship with a Mexican woman a few years ago, her parents decided to cross illegally 26 years ago and hire people to smuggle her and her siblings in again 26 years ago she's now 31 we got married and have a son together. I own my own property in the boonies up north in my state I'm curious as to what is going to happen to her? Because I will give one warning before me and my other family who live with me will open up the tree line at any and all trespassers I will not let the government take my wife period. I'm just concerned

The German weather, culture, lifestyle opportunities and attitude was not attractive to us. We felt trapped and limited. We wanted to have more freedom.\n\nWe've been living in the US Pacific Northwest since and are very happy here (and a lot more successful with our economic goals as well).\n\nGood luck in Germany!

We often faced racial insults as we walked in the streets.

I love how no one ever talks about why the bipartisan migration deal was rejected by the republicans. It required amnesty for 2 million illegal migrants a year. That’s not an acceptable deal. Illegal immigration needs to be stopped outright or we will never stop being taken advantage of by those who want to skip the line and come here Illegally.

The likelihood of obtaining a green card after being deported is slim to none. As it is, the wait time for someone from Mexico can be significantly long, often exceeding 20 years, especially for family-based petitions like siblings of U.S. citizens. So… yeah. Add a deportation to their file and you’re basically never seeing them again. Immigration is not like it used to be—when she stood in line for a matter of days.

Customer Service/Expectations is a big problem. A lot of places in the world retail and front line workers are treated like slaves or second class. I can’t tell you how often in recent years people are straight up abusive towards workers. Haggling isn’t a thing here, and while workers are paid to help you. They aren’t a personal attendant. It’s worse when it’s an immigrant employee and an immigrant customer who expects the same treatment here as they did back home.

Wowwww!! Clearly she has no idea about the laws and what happens after you’ve been deported. YOU CANT “COME BACK THE RIGHT WAY” for years… sometimes 15-20 years. And because of “quotas” and limits on population from countries, chances are they will never come back. This last sounds a lot like the wyt folx who say they did it “the right way” at Ellis Island etc. back when you just stood in line for a doctor to make sure you didn’t have cholera and other diseases or weren’t insane. I’d be v curious to know when this trader stood in line, and where she lives now.

If your not an immigrant it maybe difficult for you to understand this but the immigrants who did it correctly and spent 10-15 years in line believe in fairness and opportunity the RIGHT way! Our current system is broken and it needs to be fixed, that's a bipartisan issue. Educate yourselves about what's actually happening with asylum seekers before making uninformed comments about topics you don't fully understand.

She waited in line for a green card???? I don't believe her story--it takes months to years to get citizenship, much less a green card! Personally, I think she married an American white man, and got in that way.

Waiting for hours and days is not long. I am married to a man from Haiti whose family had to wait 11 years. They should all wait in line, but if they are already here and working without a criminal background, they should apply. You should not skip the line because you are next to the US. But her putting her family under the bus is crazy.

You don’t “stand in line for hours and days” to get a green card. You have a sponsor apply for a visa, wait until you are called for a visa interview. When that gets approved, you come to the US on a flight. Then when eligible, your sponsor files an adjustment of status. That requires another interview, which you are notified of time and date. When that gets approved, your green card can be issued. The green card is then mailed. The process takes years.

She thinks because she stood in line for a few hours and got her Green card legally that she's able to stay here and that the other family members just ran across the border but some people are running away from the cartel or gangs and don't have the time or the money to wait for years for their paperwork to get processed! Let's see what happens to her when she takes all that Trump stuff off and start speaking Spanish

Good to see illegals not jumping the line. I have been in the US legally from last 7 years, last year i payed 24000$ in taxes and it would take me 8 years just to get Green card. People breaking law should be punished not incentized.

Too many people are so uneducated about what Trump is really going to do!! They do NOT understand how tariffs work!! Unlike Kamala’s plan to stop the price gouging in the grocery stores…the GOP will drive prices through the roof!!! Thing is these people pay taxes. Between 6 to 12 Billion a year. They pay into Social Security but don't get to take it out. SO if you get rid of these people where is that money going to come from? That's why Economists say in 6 years the SSI fund will be insolvent which means no money for seniors. And who exactly are going to go into the fields to pick the fruit and vegetables in pouring rain or 100 degree temperatures? I highly doubt Americans will be lining up to fill those positions! What is she talking about?! Hours and days standing in line for a green card?! The whole process takes 2-3 years of waiting. This is bizarre, is this lady lying??? How the heck did she stand in a line for a few hours or days ??‍♀️ and get a green card, was the immigration policy different when she applied?\n\nI imagine this woman hasn’t gotten along with her family far before she became a trumper, I don’t know if she would care if her family got deported before she became a red hat, it seems like joining the Trump effort helps her feel a sense of belonging and justify her dislike of her family. That old lady is absolutely and outright lying. First off, she stood in lines for hour or days to get her green card? That means she came at a time when immigration was much easier and wanted, to increase gdp and to do the jobs normal Americans didn’t want to. Now, immigration takes forever, many years in fact, because the older republican white generation figured out that they yet again the minority, which has never actually changed. But republicans now use the immigration card because it’s literally their only option, why do you think Trump stopped the bill. He would be losing so much support. Also, for that old Mexican lady to say those things about her own family, tells me, she is not someone who cares for others or may even care at all. She became a racist just like the republicans and her family should be ashamed of her. Lastly, different times of immigration, this time around, those leaving other countries are trying to save their families lives, having to deal with authoritarian dictators, drug cartels and corrupt governments. She may have had some of that, but I doubt it, she just wanted to move here and make a better life for herself, screw her loved ones. She is an abomination and one of the reasons this country has lost itself, if a Mexican immigrant cannot feel sympathy or empathy for those people in a very similar situation than that person has truly been corrupted by the republicans “all about me” mantra.

It took years for our green cards to be approved while living in our home country, then we were able to permanently move to the U.S. Stood in line for hours to get a green card like it’s a concert ticket or something ?. Stood in line for days for a visa. Uhhhh well Booboo it takes years and years to get it now.

1.) the bureaucratic red tape to get into the country “legally” is so much more than it was 30-40 years ago (not to mention the Mexican government being even more corrupt). If it was so easy to get in “legally” (just waiting days in line), don’t you think people would just do it?\n2.) if you’re deported, if often comes with a ban on returning (or even applying to return) of 15-20 (even longer?) years. Any family members of hers that are deported would, effectively, never be allowed back again.
