Migrants are not the reason of high prices, i know average people don't know economy and they believe it...The main reason of high prices is unlimited money printing by governments , their parents were enjoying and young Canadians need to pay the bill, i am sorry guys but this is the reality.

We've had the USA madly printing money which stokes inflation as well as predatory global corporate cartels using covid as an excuse to collude on raising prices and boosting corporate profits. Then we have US and British corporations using countries like Canada and Australia as cheap mine sites. In both Canada and Australia, the birth rate has fallen because young people cannot afford to have kids. Both countries maintain their population level via immigration but that con is now falling apart because migrants can see that the game is rigged. Canada and Australia both produce a huge amount of wealth but it doesn't flow to young folks. Old folks who have fat investment portfolios don't want to rock the boat but, by their inaction, they're throwing their country's future under the bus. It's no mystery as to where this path leads. Just take a look at the catastrophically low birth rate in South Korea. Look at Italy with its falling population.

Our governments have created the conditions that are destroying the middle class. These conditions include inflation from printing money, investers buying up massive amounts of rental units, high taxes, and very poor government services.

I think it's good that we run this kind of story. Most landlords especially for condos like this one in Toronto, are owned by regular folks who still work a job and have budgets and families. They aren't greedy, they aren't big corporations; they're just people who bought investment properties and want to rent them out for a price. Canada needs landlords because not every can or even wants to buy real estate.\n\nWhen you see stories like this, which I think are outliers, they're good reminders that being a landlord is risky and income properties don't print money. People don't understand that the banking system with its 10% reserve ratio can print new money out of thin air every time a new loan or mortgage is created: forever expanding real estate prices as people treat it like a pyramid scheme of getting in early and trying to profit on the others later piling into the game. Buy some acres of land, dig up the ground, place a 1000 shipping container homeless shelters beneath the land. Build a village of transitional homes upstairs on the land. Build the homes with 3d printing construction technology. Charge below market fair rent so it can help the homeless transition to getting their life together. Land is expensive people naturally would like to profit off it. This way you can still profit off the land and have a real solution to solving homelessness. It was a temporary game played by whole Canadian government during CoVID - they knew average Canadians have got so much rich over the years by artificially inflated housing and with unlimited printing and distribution of money government knew people wont be showing up for work. The Liberal government has opened the flood gates of immigration as a means to win successive elections by attrition. People's salaries have not increased much, prices have skyrocketed, and the government prints money. Heartbreaking. Unfortunately it is the same all over the world. Apartments in my country are up 3 times. Food is up double. It is post covid money printing. Rich people got super rich , middle class lost ground and ordinary people are fight for survival literally. And with AI it will only get worse. Capitalism is failing.
