Canada calls students to give them PGWP after finishing their educations in Canada. The students pay ultra high education and life expenses. Then, Canada says we don’t need this much skilled worker as white collar, but you can works as uber drivers or Tim Hortons workers. The reason is Canadian youths don’t want to work in those odd jobs. However, Canadian people complain about the immigrant odd workers. They think economy is bad because of those immigrants who paid thousands of dollars for education and have been working in odd jobs. This is stupidity. Canada government exploits immigrant students by making them spend thousands for education and can only provide odd jobs for most of the immigrant students who hold PGWP work visa. Then some almost-racist Canadian folks stand against immigrants who have actually been exploited.

I can’t find no damn job. But it’s fine I’m gonna have to go the entrepreneur route. If I don’t then my future children will be doomed. Why tf is there no diversity at Tim Hortons and Walmart? Fuck you Trudeau. He only became prime minister bcs of his father’s good reputation, and bcs women were mesmerized by his good looks. The workplace should display a representation of various groups of people. If you can’t simply do that then please ONLY stick to only owning whatever food restaurants that serves food from whatever country you came from.

There are more serious reasons, and the total number of temporary work permit holders as a percentage of the Canadian population is just a small fraction, while there is unemployment and crisis around the world, and the impact of Trump’s tariffs. But immigrants are seen as the black sheep and blamed for everything in all agendas of both parties. If the Canadian government wants to limit businesses from hiring temporary work permit workers, they should set a quota for them. Businesses that cannot hire Canadian workers must leave those positions vacant. All companies like Tim Hortons, Metro, Farms, fast food shops, etc. should be banned from hiring temporary permit workers, and any company that hires more than 10% of its staff must be seriously fined. Is it difficult to do? Too easy.

Almost all Edmonton transit drivers are Indian ....a public service taken over by a group of foreigners taking jobs from Canadians and freezing others out. I am living in a tourist town in East Kootenay, British Columbia. They are coming, they own now gas stations, pizza chains, restaurants with a Canadian tradition fasade, Tim Hortons, McDonalds, they drive like nuts, they are arrogant and males are disrespectful. Sad, very sad, Invermere is slowly becoming Punjabmere. At 4:03 "...we live by our own rules, they don't learn, I don't learn..." crystal clear, they are detached from Canadian culture and want us to integrate to their culture.

They come not to study but to work and then later on apply for PR. I was born and raised in Brampton (but of South Asian descent via the Caribbean) and it pains me to see how the city has changed over the past 20 years. I was raised to be a proud Canadian and to be grateful for the opportunities that this country has afforded my family and I. I am a Canadian first, and Guyanese/Indian second. The issue I have with the city is that you have enclaves of ethnically homogenous people who refuse to assimilate - I once went into a Tim Hortons at Peter Robertson and Dixie, and was laughed at by the cashiers because I could not speak Hindi/Punjabi (despite being brown). There is nothing wrong with immigration - it makes the country stronger. HOWEVER, that only happens if the immigrants work to collectively advance the interests of the country and accept the rules/societal norms of the country they now call home. Instead, they find ways to circumvent/exploit the system - they are less interested on making society better, and more interested in individual advancement. I live in Professors Lake, which historically was one of the more affluent areas of the city. Now, there are several houses on my street that have essentially become boarding houses, divided into units of four with 10+ people living inside. I fully understand why white Canadians are feeling displaced, and it pains me that anti-immigrant sentiment has soured the way people look at me (despite being born in Canada).

As a brit living in Calgary, who is currently trying to jump through several hoops to try and gain PR, it's super tough and disheartening to see so many people here who don't speak english, don't work in a skilled profession, and don't engage with the Canadian community or culture. To expand on that, I have a great job in construction estimating on $85k a year, I speak fluent english (of course), I rent my own condo, my partner is Canadian and I have multiple Canadian friends. Yet, still I'm not convinced my PR visa will ever be granted. Then I walk into Tim Hortons or Subway and the foreign workers there can't understand a word I'm saying... how is that right??

I am First Nations and I have been concerned about how the face and language of Canada has changed. The first thing we noticed in our small town was that the taxi companies were taken over by East Indians. Now days you are hard pressed to get a taxi anywhere in Canada and get a driver who hails from India. I used to like Tim Horton's until I needed an interpreter to make my order, one doesn't speak English so, she had to get another worker to take my order. You go into any 7/11 or any gas station, or convenience store. All are staffed by people from India. But, it isn't just Indians. There are many other immigrants coming to Canada from China, Japan etc. None of these immigrants do not speak very good English. I have faced prejudice from these people who do not recognize my rights as an indigenous person. Going for an xray, blood test the field is mostly Asian. I have to get cataract surgery and I couldn't understand the Chinese receptionist and had to spell most of what I said to her. That means their business is mostly with Chinese-speaking people. As a First Nations person my status will always be a minority. With every immigrant that comes to Canada my status as an indigenous person diminishes. Taking transit shows me that english or french are ever spoken. Canadians are the new minority.

The government needs to investigate why most fastfood restaurants only hires Indian?, why security companies only hire Indians? Why most call centers only hire indians? Mcdonald's and Tim hortons owe canadian an explanation. The minster of labor must be held accountable.

Everything in this video is the sad reality of today, I worked in a production of fruits and veggies, and the agency "immigrants" hiring were practically, eating food with their hands instead of utensiles available to everyone at said place to even praying infront of canadian employees about their own beliefs and old ways.... it's truly disrespectful to be surrounded by immigrants who couldn't care for 2 cents about the country they migrate too. I'm now unemployed, been searching for a job for the last 3 months and can't even get hired into a basic low wage job like mc donalds tim hortons or any of those because its filled with nothing but immigrants. Really sad, and i'm annoyed that I dont get any callback from anywhere due to overflux of immigrants taking the jobs that can atleast get you out of trouble.

There is no Canadian culture, what is the typical food of Canada, what are the typical dances of Canada, what are the historical monuments of Canada? It is a new country, the architecture is the same as that of the US. And in Canada, immigrants are segregated: Hispanics marry Hispanics, Muslims marry Muslims, whites marry whites. The only thing we share is a table at Tim Hortons, a line at McDonald's, or an elevator in the building.

I quit using Tim Hortons and have now started looking carefully at who works at other fast food restaurants. Quit supporting businesses who do NOT hire Canadians. Money speaks to business owners. When I moved here 7 years ago, Canada felt like heaven. People were respectful, culture was strong, even Tims had great customer service. I was eager to adapt, made Canadian friends, worked in a church Downtown, Barrie to assimilate. Now it feels totally different, more chaotic almost third world in parts. Honestly, I don’t blame immigrants, I blame the laws. They’re too soft, and people take advantage. My son is Canadian born and a college graduate. He was a smart student and very hard working person but until now he couldn't find a job even at Tim Horton. I noticed that a lot of people who are working now are from India. They're the one who are getting experienced and etc.This is not fair to Canadians😢.

Canadian here. Didn't know about the American copay for doctor visits !!! For a comparison I had something wrong last year and had to go daily to doctor appointments for over a month. I spent money on gas, 1 parking ticket (messed up one day with free on street parking), and a huge box of Tim Hortons doughnuts for the clinic staff as a thank you gift when it was all over ❤ the copay sounds horrific and explained so much. Thank you for sharing your experience in America.

Lets keep i real. The desire that most immigrants have is homeostasis which is the familiar. All humans do this. Individually indians are usually smart and decent people. Tim Hortons, Uber delivery, Uber Cabs, Petrol pumps I mean what is going on.\n\nRight now its getting to Canadians, and you need to understand that Canadians need these low skilled jobs for themselves too but employers are finding extremely cheap labour from other places to replace Canadians.\n\nSo if you ask me this move is good, it will surely hurt the skilled labour class too but its needed. Imagine have a million immigrants coming in with a country that has a population of 40 million.\n\nThe infrastructure comes to a stand still, housing is ruined, food inflation begins. \n\nHonestly thanks to Diploma mills, Asylum seekers and gangs from Punjab, its honestly gotten bad from the Indian perspective. Now add to this others coming in from Africa and South East Asia and you can see this country get worse honestly.\n\nThis isn't hate against anyone, its just facts.

if all these immigrants leave, they can take Tim Hortons, Jollibee, McDonalds, Starbucks to name a few with them back to their own countries. The service and quality of food is horrible. They have no scruples about what they sell us Canadians.
