As a Canadian born, brown resident of Brampton, it truly sucks to see the Canadian culture we all love be completed obliterated by large scale, unchecked immigration from India specifically. In the gym, grocery store and most other common spaces, people speak Punjabi, not English. Truly horrible what happened to what was once such an awesome country and the worst part of it is, nobody, no policy maker will ever face justice for the cultural destruction they have caused. If you want diversity, bring people from all over the world. If you want Indians, bring Indians from all over India. Then where are the Northeast Indians? Where are the Bengalis? I am from India came to Canada legally (gone through 7 months of processing and waiting , submitted countless documents , photos , chat history to prove relation status and professional experience, literally submitted all my life story) to obtain PR and come to Canada just to realize that people without any of these come from different parts of the world especially India bypassing the system and living better life working cash jobs and doing random stuff. When i went to take driving license first time, An Indian origin guy rejected my application saying that my Indian License wasn't looking original enough , where I have seen people who couldn't even speak basic English were applying to get license to drive trucks. It is sad to see how many of our people are bringing a lot of 'Indianness' to this country and live like it is their own turf. I have met many young and middle aged individuals who call themselves students who doesn't even have a clue of what they are studying. It is unbelievable how people of certain status live their life partying and enjoying breaking all sort of rules , dropping out of college etc. when people who are here legally and many Canadians struggling to pay rent / mortgages / insurances etc. Don't even want to talk about job security , its a joke. The most dangerous part is that many of them are working as nurses now. I am a nurse and have been training these people from India. To be honest, it is very a hard and frustrating process cos I have to teach them even the most basic skills like taking a blood pressure or covid swab cos they know nothing. Hospitals are hiring them because they believe their “ lmany” years of nursing experience in India. Then I found out that in their country, nursing is only 3 years compared to 4 years in Canada and they do not require a nursing license to work as nurses in India. They come here, go to review centres to pass the licensure exam. And the College of nurses of Ontario allow this! Nursing is stressful enough and we do not have time to teach English and basis nursing. There are still many Canadian nurses I know looking for a job but they don’t even get an invite for an interview because even the HR department are Indians. Seriously, these people need to get investigated.

I am an Indian. Many of the new comers from the North of India , whether students or immigrants, do not speak English fluently. Some, especially the Punjabis, cannot even read and speak even a single sentence in English. They bribe the immigration officials and get the IELTS certificate for whichever score/band they need. Some of them have a criminal background. When the inquiry for background check comes up, they bribe the police to get a clean certificate... and they all immigrate to Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other Western countries. Every other brown skinned people gets hated and embarrassed because of these people. I have a strong feeling that many in IRCC are of Indian decent and they help these people. These people are racists, arrogant, selfish, greedy, rude, disrespectful, uncivilized and mostly unintellectual. They don't even respect people from other parts of India.

My parents immigrated to Canada from Portugal. They set about trying to be even more Canadian than someone born here. I have no problem with immigration, but I do start to when people refuse to adopt our customs and ways and just act as though they are still in India and don't respect Canada- the country they have moved to. They take advantage of our health care systems, benefits etc etc. I find it sad that Canada is starting to look nothing like the country I remember in my youth.

The main issue stems from international students from like after covid, regardless of country, India is in the spotlight because there's just more indians compared to other countries international students but its all the same stuff, you have kids from all over the world that might not have learned the same cultural practices, fresh 16-18 year olds living alone for the first time that have to do all their own chores and don't even know how to take care of themselves in some cases or do laundry or anything like that and it doesn't mean they were illegal immigrants or anything, just that they never put in the effort to learn because they were too entitled, its the same with entitled kids that go to Korea or Japan from north America as well that don't learn their culture and customs and misbehave because they are too entitled, and once you understand that you can see the bigger picture more clearly instead of just defaulting to racism. Also I'm not saying they can't be frustrated, its frustrating for everyone, even for me but racism isn't the answer.

You know, Brampton even before trudeau was becoming basically little India, and most Canadians just said whatever let them have it, we kinda accepted it. But after trudeau with mass immigration and them taking over other cities its when it became a little too much and started to take over canadian culture. I had a friend visit from the u.s for the very first time, and we did some sight seeing, you know going to places around ontario that tourists would check out, went to niagra falls for the first time in maybe 10 years man it changed. When you think Canada its always been mulicultural, you just think of all ethnicities and people of different cultures but at the end of the day everyone was Canadian and they assimilated. Identity is being taken away and it needs to stop. Canada needs to take notes from Poland before its too late.
