My godson's parents, who he loves and respects and helps financially, are undocumented immigrants here in the US for 30 yrs. He lives in a community of undocumented folks. He and his brother voted for Trump. His whole family understands the consequences of so many people being here illegally. They all understand that being here illegally is a way for our government and the elite to use and abuse people much more easily. When you have as large of a percentage of the population who aren't protected by their citizenship and the laws and who can't access the full benefits of citizenship and who are always scared of being caught and will take less pay, people can be used and abused more easily.

Hi everyone, I'm just going to weigh in some experience here. These people have given up on their government to fix things. They had it good before when Venezuela was wealthy not so long ago. They want that back. Who wouldn't. They want a chance at a better life . They have in most cases already sold all possessions for traveling money and bribes or security. They are scared and tired of traveling. They got told to come to America by someone. I wish we could afford as a country to take them all and it be ok and they build a good life here. I wish it was like that. The system we have needs work for certain. The USA is being overwhelmed by too many coming. We have to slow the roll . But it's a bad situation for all involved. They will look for an illegal way if needed to make it. Hence the cartels step in and offer a way in exchange for money or drug smuggling and the trouble gets worse. There is no simple solution here. I almost moved to the US with my parents when I was a kid but was crying because I didn’t want to go. I am so glad that we didn’t move there. We don’t want to go there for many reasons, free healthcare, a good education system because we pay our teachers well and have good quality teachers, we don’t carry guns and don’t want them, thereby our streets are safer. We don’t have mass murders, school killings and all that fear. We don’t have the racial and ethnic prejudice that there is in the US. I have travelled a lot for my company and personal to the US. I was scared and didn’t feel comfortable at all. We know so much more about US geography and history and the US knows nothing about us. Complete ignorance. Well I have no plans to ever visit again. I love our people, our freedom and our culture. We are nothing like the Americans (sorry). I am staying in my beautiful country! I feel safe and happy here! I know a lot of orchard owners that are going to be just as screwed as they were during Covid, when they didn’t have the labor to get the fruit picked!! The pickers go home each year, but they buy groceries, gas, fast food and you would be amazed at the amount of older vehicles that get sold at the end of the picking season!! But the local people don’t apply for the jobs in the orchards or even in the packing plants!! They feel that is beneath them and it doesn’t pay enough! The kind of deportation Trump has been talking about has gone beyond people that are here illegally. Trump has expanded it to include what he calls 'undocumented' migrants. That group includes people waiting for their asylum hearings, DACA recipients and protected status migrants/refugees, and people that have already had their asylum hearings, but are awaiting their citizenship hearings. \nAs for the narrative about 'murderers' and 'violent/horrible' criminals being in our country, it's like....wait...what??? Now, if you KNOW a person is a convicted murderer or horrible criminal, WHY would you allow them into or allow them to stay in this country to begin with?
