Hey when my grandpa (my mom’s dad) who served our military during Vietnam which he was drafted. He saw men of all walks of life even black guys go over there fight and come home in rough shape or worse. He told me one time he while he was on the army base where he was based at and he saw a black man who at the time whites and blacks were still trying to get there acts together. Was flown in from Nam on a medivac with machine gun holes ripped right through his chest and was in bad shape my grandpa said they immediately rushed him to emergency surgery and my grandpa asked the surgeon who worked on him. “Hey did that color boy make it,” the guy said “it was touch and go there for a while but he pulled through but he was that close to d¥ing.” So if any man woman whatever that serves our military is willing to fight and lay down their l!fe for our country/freedom deserves to wear that uniform and serve with honor and pride.

I'm guessing your friend who gave birth for the cost of $3000 had no complications and good insurance, because from what I've read, the cost without insurance is between $30,000 and $50,000 which is insane to me. As for emerg wait times - I live in a small town in rural Alberta & have never had a problem. Recently had to go to emerg. Was triaged, saw Dr., had xrays & was given Rx. Was in and out in 30 minutes and of course I paid nothing out of pocket. I feel pretty lucky to live here.

I know a Indian friend who when he was a student due to climate issue got in a delayed flight in UAE, he hates politics but he follows a philosophy that's eye for an eye, and that is if everyone can be a thief nobody will be a thief, if you steel from me, I've the right to do the same, he was denied a 1 day visa by the UAE government and had to stay in the airport for 15 hours, he was angry, while others in the flight was given a 1 day visa, so say 15 years later, he is running his own business abroad, got a chance in open interview to interview students, saw one was a UAE citizen, he never took the interview for him, his philosophy, after 15 hours of waiting, he will take that student's interview, he took other's interview, after time was over he left the office and later the student left, his attitude is he as the right to do the same.

If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. If you don’t take the time to learn about the culture of the place you are migrating to and/or expect that locals welcome habits that could be perceived as rude and shocking to most Canadians, you are going to limit your network to only people in your cultural group - which will definitely hinder opportunities for growth. I watched them put these poor people in jails with real criminals. All the immigrants loved me. I was actually in a federal and ICE facility. So I literally saw all of the immigrants. I protected them from the racist white people. I'm from Tampa Florida, so I'm used to the jails and prisons being majority, black guys. But in Colorado, it's white supremace, gangs and Mexican gangs. What's even more sickening? Is people from Washington would come in and take some of the Indians out. And when they came back, I would ask them questions and they said that the government people would get information on their family back in India and see if they could pay 50k to stay in America. It was sickening. I found out that what they were doing was deporting. Poor people and the people that have money back in their country. They have their families send money and let them stay. I saw it with my own eyes.

I have lived in 3 diffferent countries for significant periods of time (4 years or more in each). I have been in Canada for 8 years now. I do not see any racism here at all. I mean nothing. I was born in ?? and at your age Alina I left Vancouver and moved to Europe. I too saw no future and no way of having quality of life there. In the past 20 years I have watched ?? just fall apart and get worse and worse and it breaks my ❤️. One has to choose where life will be best for you and then give it your all. For me, by far, it was the best choice I ever made because the life I have now would never have been achievable, especially in Vancouver. People will tell you and you can tell yourself that you can just move back and visit all the time but in reality, that does not happen and you need to accept all the loss that leaving will bring. You will loose friend family and opportunity, people will pass friends will forget you and you them and Canada will become a memory in time. Dis i juat read this right? I saw an international student who said he got scammed in Canada for his education? Thats a very sad situation. Wh as ts weird tho, is that i do receive calls on a regular basis from people that are trying to scam me all the time. But i domt remember where they are from tho, they had a very distinct accent but boy i cannot remember where they call from. I am sorry i have bad memory i am getting very old .

I am a 4th generation Canadian (european decent).\nMy ancestors came here and didn't try to change it into a colony of where they came from, they adapted to the Canadian culture that was apparant at the time.\nThey blended in quite quickly while maintaining there home country culture at home or at community centers.\nI have welcomed immigration my entire life and still do. I saw a CBC article about an international student and how shes going to struggle financially with less hours to work. First of all theyre supposed to have the money to support themselves. Secondly working a full time job while studying full time is weaking educational outcomes. No wonder IS are failing! If you cant afford too be here then you need to move back home.

I saw Indians pooping on beaches in PEI and NB this summer and throwing garbage everywhere. Now they are protesting to stay when their visa's have expired. They complain about school and housing, but at the same time, exploit food banks and take up entire neighbors up degrading land value with their crime and trash. Then whenever you interact with them, they are rude, speak quickly and do not learn to adapt to our way of life. Instead we get more protests and violence. Indians abroad are responsible for billions in fraud and mismanagement across many sectors, and Indian government openly hamulated Canada on several occasions. On the count of immigration to Canada, more then 2/3 are coming from India and many are unvetted. Indians are not global people, they are not friendly or adaptable. Taking advantage of our hospitality and complaining when they stop getting that treatment pretending it's not their fault. Indians should go back to India and fix whats going on there. Get better schools, and have better manners. You have generations of youth who are very rude and dirty. I wish everything I said wasn't true, but with many personal experiences and others sharing, we have found the same is true about all of this many times over, in a span of 10 to 15 years. Its shameful.

I personally used to love indians. Especially punjabis. The ones who immigrated here in the 80s and 90s were quiet, dignified and productive.\n\nThey were family oriented and blended into canadian society seamlessly.\n\n\nThis is what indians need to do in order to regain respect again.\n\n1. Call out other indians who do not assimilate into canadian culture. And stop saying youre indian. My parents both immigrated from italy, and they never call themselves italian.....just canadian.\n\n2. Speak english a little better, and learn proper manners and customer service. The reason you came to Canadabwas because you saw it as a paradise where you could flourish. Learn the culture. Embrace wherenyou are.\n\n3. Follow the law. Pay your taxes, and find some NON indian friends who can help you assimilate easier.\n\n\n\n\nCanadians are very kind caring people overall. We want to like you, like those immigrants who came before you..... but we dont NEED YOU. So appreciate what youve been handed.\n\nAnd remember. Every human being is suspicious of other cultures. Its natural. Walls sometimes take time to come down.

I am a uneducated guy. But somehow I saw the Covid payments should have ended long before it did and immigration should have been cut back a long time ago. All these guys with masters and crap load of staff must be blind to say oh its 20/20 to look back.

Canada has very kind government - accepting all people from around the world, our health system is overloaded. Today I took a short trip on a bus , I saw two recent migrants: one old black man in wheelchair and huge young but mentally ill black man - he was screeming and throwing his enourmous fists all time during the trip - passengers were terrified. It is very different picture from what was 20 years ago.

Sad about leaving Canada? You get taxed up the….., it’s frozen for half of the year, the people are also frozen and they try to stab you in the back (especially in Quebec). A childhood classmate of mine visited Canada and these are her impressions: people are fat, disgusting, it’s boring, depressing, cold, gloomy; every second person is in a wheelchair but they don’t have to be, pretending to be disabled because the government pays them for disabilities, etc. After going back home every person that she saw on the street was extremely gorgeous in her eyes after the horror that she saw in Canada…. This is obviously a little exagerated and coming from someone whose expectations were high but you get the point.\n\nWe don’t need to be driving brand new cars all the time, live in brand new homes and spend thousands of dollars for the services that we don’t really need… life is all about simplicity and being able to enjoy every single moment: so many countries in the world offer that: not Canada.

I grew up in Brazil, been living in the UK for a long time, I've been to Toronto in 2017 and LA, New York, I saw homelessness everywhere. In the UK things have been bad for a long time. Accommodation is very expensive and landlords are very dishonest. I would definitely assume the UK has become a Third World Country. \n\nI would love to live in Canada but these days, Canada, US, Australia, UK and even New Zealand are very expensive places to live. I am aware more and more Westerns are moving to Southeast Asian countries > Cheap, Good people, Good food and is not full of drugs as it is in Western countries.

Frankfurt is filthier than Bombay many times with human faeces - just saw on Sunday at Grüneburgpark station, an area that is pretty hip and expensive, a month ago at Miqueladickesallee, also a cool area with Nordend and Dornbusch around, a few times in the lift at Willy-Brandt Platz and Konstablerwache, Hauptwache and Eschenheimer Tor. There is pee stink at so many stations. If a country talks about mental health and mindfulness but with skyrocketing number of homeless and school droppers who might just get on that track if not included and helped. The country's policy is such that charity does not begin at home - why fuel wars when schools are going down the drain.

Why some skilled immigrants are leaving germany? I have many friends who did that- IT, finances, etc. 1. Very high taxes and thus net salaries comparable to Eastern Europe. A senior dev in Bulgaria gets 2000-3000 NET. After taxes in Germany, well, he will get a little less. 2. Cost of living in Germany is much higher- rents, energy(because of green policies and taxes), services(because of costly labor), etc. \nImagine a budget of 1000-1500 eur to give you a nice apartment(400-500), bills, food and bars/restaurants 1-2 times per week. With a net salary of 2500 eur(average for qualified jobs in the capital) you can save 1000 eur or more with ease. With almost no illegals security, standard of living, etc is close to german. That is why qualified bulgarians do not go to Germany anymore. Same comparison can be done with all other EU contries. \nBecause of socialist policies for equal payment, high taxes, etc even germans leave Germany. What was the number? I think I saw more than 100000 qualified germans leaving each year. But why stay? To be taxed so that an engineer gets 1.5-2 times the janitor? With german social security unemployed get more than many working people. Rent covered, money for food and more and social payments leave you with more than the one working for twice your income because he pays rent, bills, etc.\nThere was an article I think in DW years ago about unemployed young people working for 2 years paid by gov and leaving the job market forever. They admitted the 2 years were just to mark the requirement for unemployment payments but that a nurse net salary was close to social security so why go to work. Do you think qualified people want to work for no money? What is the stimulus for the young to study if the salary will be close to with no degree? The politicians solution? More people on social security(non qualified illegals) and EU directive for making minimum wage 50% of average thus making the benefit of getting qualified even lower.\nGood luck Germany. I wish you could succeed but I and many of you lived in socialism. Did the equal payment help or make things worse making everyone to stop working and want to emigrate to where qualification meant more money and rich life?

About 32 years ago I had this shocking Dream inwhich I was at Lost Lagoon in Vancouver. I was looking at a Tent in the trees by the Lagoon and saw a couple sitting inside whilst they had hung their clothes up on tree limbs with price tags on them. They were selling their clothes inorder to buy food. I woke up with a start and considered it a very strange Nightmare back then and wondered WHY I had dreamt that, but now as time goes on I do believe that I was seeing into the future.

Thank God, I saw this news right on time. I was about to invest and buy a rental property! Better to stay in stocks.

I visited Canada for the first time last year on a 10 day vacation. I only really saw Toronto but was impressed by how clean and safe it felt. Clearly I stayed in the more touristy and probably affluent areas so guess I had a distorted view

In my experience, there has always been a feeling in Canada against immigrants. This is generally among the working class. \n\nIn the early 1990s I was doing a lot of work in Canada for a US tech company. I am an American, by the way. One time I was working with a Chinese Canadian engineer, who worked for the client company. We went to the loading dock to check on the equipment from my company, which had just arrived. The native Canadian loading dock workers were openly making racist slurs about the Chinese engineer, right in front of him. He was very careful not to respond. I asked him about it later, and he just waved it off. This was in the Toronto area. I was also warned about Chinese who were involved in organized crime in the city. Then, a few days later I saw it in downtown Toronto. Two Chinese men in a Mercedes had stopped on the road and pulled a woman out of the car and started threatening her. It was a tense situation. \n\nOften it is the government types that welcome the immigrants, for various reasons. Canada does indeed have a demographic problem. \n\nThis is not the 19th and early 20th century in Canada or the US or Europe. Today we have extensive social safety nets. This means taxpayer dollars. In the earlier times the immigrants had to fend for themselves. Even then, there would be feelings against the immigrants. At least in the US it was a time of rapid economic and geographic expansion. Not so anymore.

I am a permanent resident of Canada and born in the US. I live right outside of Montreal. I actually went to Plattsburgh, NY three times in past two months and each time while on my way back from Plattsburgh, I would encounter several migrants at the bus stop shown on the video. In one of my encounters I saw a group of them wearing ankle monitors. I would see vans standing at the gas station picking up and dropping off migrants. These drivers are helping the problem just to make money. I just heard on the news that greyhound changed the bus stop in Plattsburgh a couple of weeks ago and I wonder if it's because of the illegal migrants. I have been going to Plattsburgh by bus for many years and I've never seen migrants inundate the area as I have in the past year. I knew about Mexicans flying over to Canada so they can walk across the boarder into the US but I didn't know it was this bad. I don't see this problem going away unless Canada works with the US to solve it. It's getting scary out there because there are criminals who has committed serious crimes in their home country and come here on a clean slate to continue their criminal activity. When does this torture end?

Ironically due to the economic conditions and mass immigration, younger Canadians aren’t having children anymore due to it being hard enough to get by without any dependents. I’m in my mid 20s, lots of married friends, none will entertain the idea of kids.\n\nWhat I would prioritize changing:\nA more thorough immigration process that does not favour any country over another. And spread the people out to the smaller communities that need workers instead of turning Toronto into whatever it is. An end to the corporate alliance price fixing on things like insurance, cell phones, and air travel. Reduced taxes for your first property, but additional if you own several (a system similar to what Norway does). Reduced foreign ownership in our home real estate market (home should be for families, and not financial assets for international businesses).\n\nAnd like the video said some more darn infrastructure. In my childhood, I saw entire neighbourhoods being built in - timely fashions. Now it’s rare to see a single home under construction in my home city. Some smaller Canadian towns I know even lack potable water.\n\nWith the market so bad no one wants to build or buy which is just amplifying the issue.\n\nAnd no carbon tax. I apologize for getting political, but the last 10 years the federal government seems to be more concerned with values and foreign intervention than fiscally responsible decisions. The culture can dictate the values, I just want the government to make the trains run on time.\n\nI hope it gets better soon but I think we are cooked. We lived 10 years in canada..my wife got health issue due to allergies..however the Doctors in canada couldn't diagnose it properly n no treatment was given...gradually we tried going to emergency and it 6hrs of waitinng time and after that they simply did only blood test , then said everything is good.....but they did nt find what the issue is...we got frustrated for 3 months and my wife health was ruined in 3 months, finally we took decision to come back to india for treatment , on landing day only we went to Hyd Care hospitAl ..all tests done, found the issue.. got treatment in 1 day...alternatively we took Ayurvedic treatment..my wife is doing fine now....those 3 months we saw hell..my wife went almost into deppression....now i moved my family to India...

Refugees have always sought asylum during times of war. If asylum was not provided one saw the consequences..6 million Jews gassed and murdered. Its sheer nonsense to argue that Palestinians do not wish to leave their land.
