Trump is doing all these crazy things but he is forgetting one HUGE thing. Canada & many other countries are Allies of America & while he's talking about tariffs & goodness knows what (I did watch his talk in Congress), at least respect your Allies. Trump is sleeping with the enemy & in all my years, I've never seen an American President turn on their Allies like this. He is a dangerous man for all the wrong reasons. I feel badly for the American people whom will be stuck between a rock & a hard place. I feel for the Canadian's whom don't deserve this. Trudeau speaks so genuinely & politely where Trump yells 'this is the way things will be'. \nI don't look forward to the next 4 years & many in my country (Australia) have said they won't even go to America while Trump is in Office. As an Italian used to live in a country ruled by many incapable politicians (truth is we stopped to have the most valuable ones between the second half of the 1970s and the first half of the 1980s) I have to say your prime minister Trudeau has always been seen like a good one from Europe and this speech is no exception. Trudeau is a clown. This is a guy who thwarts free speech and jailed his own people and took their money away during peaceful protests. Canada has enjoyed a a trade surplus against us forever. They also do not have to pay for military since they are right next to us. They should be doing whatever we want. Canada was sending recyclable trash to the Philippines. When the trash arrived it was not recyclable. Philippine president said stop sending but Canada continued to send it. So finally he said if you send one more ship, we will declare no war on you. And if that happened, without US help, even the Philippines would destroy Canada in a war. Way more fighting aged males and Canada has a worthless military. Canada has a GDP of 5-10% of US. So Trudeau acting tough is hilarious. Like a chihuahua barking at a grisly bear. If push came to shove, in the time of US war need, the US would simply take whatever it wanted from Canada. That's what happens when you don't develop your own substantial military-just like Europe now.

Both Trudeau and Zelensky openly state that Trump's actions will lead to poverty in the USA and weaken the country so much on the international stage that no one will want to cooperate with the US anymore, fearing that when the day of trial comes, the US will betray them—just as Trump did! Unlike Trump, Europe did not betray the USA on its day of trial when NATO's Article 5 was invoked to help the US fight ISIS. Europe sent its soldiers, who died for the USA. Trudeau was right when he said it was dumb. The US tariffs are simply about bringing America to its knees and destroying America. That is why the country is being recklessly run. The idea is to destroy the American way of life and America. Have you seen a 3rd world country run. The fighting and the division in the 3rd world country? The events over the past weeks are not about efficiency. 1 worker doing 15 people's jobs. Who is running the government? Tariffs are one more thing to destroy America. US government federal workers all let go, paying government employees pennies on the dollars and lying to the American public about efficiency, farmers and textile workers that voted are stranded without jobs, social security being destroyed, programs being destroyed, Americans being lied to, Americans being taken advantage of due to poor knowledge and education, education being taken away and putting un-elected immigrants/foreigners to run/destroy America. Yes, the Tariffs are one more thing to put Americans in the street, turn off their electricity, take away their heating system, and make America into a poor 3rd world country. Trudeau and Canada are protecting its workers - federal and private and yes, all of Canada. Canada is United. i know Trudeau gets a lot of crap from people, but my god this was a hell of a speech. same with Bernie Sanders' speech. i got goosebumps and also trying to fight back tears simultaneously. my ex wife is disabled receiving social security, medicare, and medicaid due to being in a wheelchair and requiring consistent medical care and attention. she receives, and is expected to survive on, $800 a month and $300 in foodstamps. she lives in campgrounds which is 90% cheaper than rent, and still has to budget, struggle and go without a lot to make life work all while being in tremendous pain and reliant on help from others.
