There is nothing wrong with rigorous checks. I would want the same for India as well. Vet who gets to enter the country! No one should get a free pass. Ultimately, visitors must benefit the receiving country in some way and not impose additional burden! Would you not want rigorous checks for people entering our country through neighboring territories such as Bangladesh, Nepal, and you-know-who? Thank goodness for border control. It preserves the rule of law throughout the world.

Indians and Chinese, both have the same issues. Rich Asians can’t behave when they are overseas. They think that with money, they can behave however they want. The Central Govt should tell foreign embassies especially Western ones with steep visa fees that they can only charge the fee after the person receives the visa. If his application is rejected he pays zero. Charging steep visa fees and rejecting is equivalent to scamming people. Either you tell the person beforehand he won't receive visa. Also visa fees must be reduced as they are much higher in India than most countries.

The government eventually found put and deported them.\n\n2) Canada deported a few hundred Gujarati students when the US border security found them not speaking in English. On investigation, it was found that they all came with fake IELTS certificate.\n\nThere are many incidents we get to witness the day after the day. So, we can't blame other countries. It's us who made us very cheap in the international market. Because of those Indians, the entire innocent, honest, and talented Indians community is affected.

Palki, I'm a huge admirer of your journalism. Being a proud Indian and living in NZ from a decade I can say it's not just the equality.\nThe amount of frauds we do in our visa application just to enter a foreign land, I can speak on behalf of NZ, makes it difficult for the next batch of applications coming from that region.\nI won't label that with racism because every country has the right to protect its borders. NZ, Aus in particular has a strong and proud Indian diaspora with more and more Indians successfully coming in every year. But we India as a large population has one of the most number of applications which also increases the chancesl of rejection.

I am a cruise ship worker and i travel US and canada every year . In 2023 i had my joining at dry dock in spain . And i was in Schengen visa center in kolkata . There i meet one sardar ji . He was their for the tourist visa and he told me , all his family members in Canada but his visa 7 times got rejected by the canadian authority. Now he want to get a tourist visa for spain and he have a plan to not come back . And he was telling me all those thing with extremely loud voice in front of the visa application center. Just imagine How crazy that was ?

I think its proportional. india has the largest population and that explains the situation. India will be empty if the visa is given to every one :)

Im on green card in usa and genuinely i want to take my mom to other countries as a tourist but she got 6 times reject for US, one time canda and one time europe but i was able to make one trip with her to china. \nNot sure it just a skin color or anything else ?

I live in Canada. A citizen now, love this country but India is and will always be a home. Canada is facing hard times currently, which is being faced by every country now and then but even the cause root of all these problems Canada is facing right now is coming from somehow from India. The most disruptive and disturbing people are here from India only with no civic sense. They come here and do not value the Canadian culture at all. They do all sort of illegal activities and try to do jugaad in everything, from which we escaped from India. Even on political grounds, the man who somehow messed up everything was under the influence and pressure of the man having Indian roots. I love India without a doubt but we can’t deny the real facts why Indians are being hated everywhere. People in my community here ( whites, First Nations, old Indians) love me and my family because they know how we respect the culture and values and laws of Canada. But there, where people don’t know us personally, we get judgemental eyes because of our colour and we know why, it’s not all of us, but still majority of us have destroyed the image of India and yes Indians deserve to be banned now. We need skills and knowledge and we should class apart from the stupid ones.

It is not just the number of students, it is the quality of the students. Majority of these students are not top notch or the ones who will integrate well into society. Most of the schools accepting students in Canada and Australia are businesses run by former immigrants to these countries, who saw the business opportunity of charging people to give them admissions to low quality un-ecreditted schools, which they run themselves. Then in the midde of the school years they will push students to apply for immigration or refugee status. Everyone knows what the scam is but the governments are not addressing it. I am pro immigration but the systems have changed (broken) from what they used to be 20/30 years ago.

What is a Dollar Drain -\nImagine 10 people with $10 each and each have a mutually exclusive but essential skills. Suppose, one is a cobbler and one of them is a washerman. They are indians in usa, I don't understand why they needed visa if they are NRI they should have indian passport and if they have usa passport and have renounced indian citizenship, why did they not apply for OCI. i guess they never planned to come to india that often and this is just an one of affair so they didn't bother to get the OCI. Idiotic in my opinion, if god forbid they get in any trouble with the general hostility towards indians growing especially in USA, they should keep the option to just pack up and leave without all this visa issues on a moments notice.

This is an excellent video, and you are clearly a very respectful and decent person. Thank you for posting it. I only hope you will keep my comment posted here once I write it. I've written similar comments elsewhere that were automatically deleted by the person who posted the video, and I found that disheartening. I first want to address the rumour about human feces and dirty diapers being found on Canadian beaches, and I want to stand up for the people who called out Indians for doing this. Somebody saw something. Maybe they weren't able to produce any legal proof of it, but they clearly saw something, and there is nothing racist about them calling out this behaviour. This practice is not only unhygienic. It is ILLEGAL in Canada; so, it absolutely should be called out publicly to prevent it from ever happening again. I have seen many videos about the culture of mass open defection in India. The videos I saw were posted by Indians themselves. One of those videos was a TEDx talk done by a woman named Sangita Vyas who discussed the truth about open defecation and that it is not limited to only the poor population. Even people who can afford to build latrines are not using them, and she explains why after interviewing Indians to ask why. I've watched Indian doctors talk online about how many Indian children die from something as simple as diarrhea every year as a direct result of the water contamination caused by open defecation. So, clearly, open defecation is legal in India, and perhaps some of these people think if it's legal at home then it must also be legal elsewhere. WRONG. It's illegal in Canada. It's unhygienic. It should never happen. Period. And there is NOTHING racist about a Canadian saying this out loud and reminding people that they must follow the rules and laws of the country they are in.

I was born and raised in brampton. I am now 41 years old. When i was 20 i remember when the indians started to come into brampton they were taking our jobs because they would work for minium wage without benefits. Then they stated to buy the houses and bring in their families they had like 10 to 20 people living in one house, so only needing to work for minium wage they were able to purchase the houses faster. Then the stores started opening up and theis is when i left. Brampton was the best place in ontario to live (close to everything, small enough to feel like a town but yet big enough that it had everything available) \nNow its a shit hole

I was born in Canada and my family was from the Caribbean and were brown. Learned Canadian history from our first PM John a McDonald, Wilfred Laurier, learned French. We were hoping Quebec did not separate from Canada. Our whole family is loyal to one country and that is Canada only. The small minority of Indians have destroyed what made us Canada. Playing Punjabi music downtown at Yonge Dundas that never happened. These punjabis are deliberately travelling from Brampton to dance at Yonge Dundas to shove their music in our face. Even my Indian friends who were born here want all Indian immigrants gone they are pissed off.
