I'm all for bringing in the 'skills & talent' with new immigrants. We see it everywhere. And if we Canadians complain about it, we're called every name in the book. Not fair to Canadians. Not fair to those who are waiting in line to come in legally.

last time i was there was in late winter of 2017, there was a lot of red lights (warning signs) back then but people were euphoric because of the surge in real estate prices. the euphoria was so tangible, it felt like i was surrounded by a sect. then the mental health crises was a shocker. the rat race was worse than i remembered. i also realized how immature my generation in canada was, because in my circle barely anyone was getting attached to life long partners, ie being married. mid-sized cities felt like toronto in terms of immigrants. it was warmer. i have a feeling if i landed in toronto now it would be a late 80's eastern bloc feel to it, ie nobody believing in it anymore.

Lived in same Canadian province my whole life, here’s a solution to immigrants complaining go home to your country. Canada has been ruined by immigration but to be more specific Indians, they are everywhere, in PEI every single service industry job has been taken over by them and so a stigma is created working in fast food, gas stations, ect. I was born in Canada. I am now in Thailand. I worked 35 years for a large transportation organization. I am retired and loving living abroad. It is cold in Canada 6 months of the year. Climate change is creating massive forest wildfires every summer now creating horrid air quality issues especially in the west, which is the mist beautiful part of the country in my opinion. I traveled back for a couple of weeks in October 2023 and was in shock over the cost of everything especially considering the recent inflation problem affecting the entire world. I couldn't wait to het back to my life in Thailand. Here there is no racism that I can see. All races and religions are accepted here. I hardly ever wear pants, shorts and short sleeve shirts. I can golf 12 months a year and live very comfortably on my pension. I could not have the same quality of life in my home country and the medical industry makes care here very affordable and accessible. In B.C. I found it extremely difficult to find s family doctor after moving there even to get a comprehensive medical checkup. I love my country of origin but will never return as long as I have the choice. Canada is over taxed, over regulated and very expensive now. These are the facts that created my choice to emigrate.

I m an Indian Christian, born and raised in Malaysia. My homeland. We are a nation of different cultures. Malay, Chinese and Indian. These are the 3 Major race but we are called Muslim country. We live in peace and harmony. Everyone has their rights to believe in their faith and live peacefully together here. Inflation is bad here too but still affordable. For expats, If you want to migrate to Malaysia, make sure you get high wages in USD and a company that will renew ur contract. You can't be citizen but you can apply for PR.. but the process is not that easy. Some of my friends who are expats still live here after 15 years without a PR. Our country is small so it's not easy to get it. Your children can get into International schools or home schools WITH UK IGCSE SYLABUS TOO... its just pricy a little. Other than that, Malaysia is a beautiful Tropical country with beautiful and friendly people to live with. Malaysia truly Asia. ❤

I live in Toronto since 1999 and witnessed the decline of the city due to higher crime rates, poor car racing on highways, more selfish people parking at the fire lanes, legalization of pot (thanks to stupid Trudeau govt), more traffic congestion, more homeless taking up the parks etc since 2005. I'm not Muslim, and I completely understand your views and fears. I think you are making the best decision for your family. There are many things in this country and other countries that need to be addressed. If you flip the coin, it's very interesting to hear stories from expats of Eastern European decent living in Canada - And they're all desperate to return back to their country of origin because they say Canada is saturated with many migrants from the Far-East (China) South-East Asia (India & Pakistan) and Africa. They say they feel lost in all that. Some of these have applied for working visa's to the U.S. It seems every group of the human race has their own agenda for wanting to relocate to other places, mainly for comfort and security.
