I am a Kenyan living in Toronto for 8years now. Most people coming from outside who did enough research on the cost of living and getting work often find success. Having met a few of the Kenyans who were featured in the newsclip (which was totally gaslighting type news) the common theme is that they moved to Canada - first on refugee status, without sufficient research on cost of living, the timeline between their refugee status and getting a work permit to start working and expectations of the kind of jobs they can get as a new immigrant to Canada. I moved here as a student and even with over 10years prior work experience, I had to start from the bottom and worked up. And this happens even to people moving here from UK, Australia etc, its not a bias toward people of color. Things are hard everywhere !!

It’s already happening???. I laugh but it’s not funny. Sometimes Kenyans are so ignorant na Jimmy akisema the truth is hidden in writing wa nasema ni madhash. Not surprised. I gave my reviews in another video of an agent claiming to take Kenyans to Canada with visitors visa, then wakifika Canada they have lawyers to…. Nilimalizia hapo coz that’s was a just con. In my reviews as I repeat here, let people go to the immigration websites of this countries and cross check or even check if you qualify. Canada, Australia not sure of others follow a point based system for their immigration. Now, good people, mjuange, English test it’s also a must including UK, especially if you’re going as a student or worker. This places hakuna rocket science their website it’s clear even with guideline of when you can expect your visa. Na wakichelewa mtu wangu call that embassy ulize nianje manze, si 5 months ziliisha??‍♀️ In Kenya mine was late, called Embassy on Wednesday, additional information was provided on Friday, Tuesday I had my visa. In fact those people stranded should sue their agent ASAP! And yes skills and experience if you don’t have that, it’s common sense unaenda ku do? Thanks Lynn for this topic??????

I watched a similar video some time ago but it was a lady and she made the comparison and she left Australia to Canada, after nearly more than 20 minutes, she states that she could not get the permanent residency in Australia and applied to Canada and got it, so after wasting more than 20 minutes listening to her, she decided to leave Australia to Canada, what a dumb stupid person. That lady did not decide, the decision was made for her. I will not watch this video so not to fall into this trap, people make these videos to get the views and ratings. I will not watch it at all, it is better that you left Australia. Australia wants smart people, as I was an immigrant and now a proud Australian.

Healthcare is worst in Canada, housing prices and rentals have gone through roof.... You can not survive only seeing the clean environment and fresh air.... Delhi NCR population is more than of Canada, australia, denmark, sweden, norway... If population is less than they are bound to have fresh air and cleanines

Lynn some of these people say it is a trap but if you ask them why they are still in Canada, they won't tell you. He left Canada and was back after 7 years. Why not buy the properties in his country. Why go back to Canada to buy those properties? For some reason I feel bad that those who have gone have found a way of discouraging those who aspire to be there yet themselves don't want to leave. I am yet to meet a Kenyan in the streets of Kenya who will tell me that he/she came back because Canada, US, or Canada is a trap. They all say that in the streets of Canada. And those who come back, benefit a lot from the knowledge and money they made while in Canada,US, Australia, or UK. I think it's too much now.

Hi, I am also from Zimbabwe, and I have lived in both Australia and Canada. I left Australia 2009 because I felt the place was not an open society. In Canada job opportunities can also be tricky for immigrants. I moved back to Australia after 10 years in Canada. At the end of the day the choose is yours but the grass is not always greener on the other side. Calgary is just identical to Perth. I would advise you to live in Toronto. In Australia I live in Melbourne now.

Sad thing is, you guys are the forerunners of what is already coming in other places. \nI can say and confirm Sydney-Australia, is going down the EXACT SAME PATH. We dont have the refuge problem experienced in Canada and really adds up to the problem, however real estate speculation has totally de railed and it's spinning out of control. At least the canadian government is trying to fo something aboit it. Here, government hasn't even tried, and no one is expecting them to do something serious to resolve it.

I'm a cosmetic surgeon living in Sydney Australia. I'll be totally honest. You can delete my post or you can except the truth.\nI've been too & have friend & colleagues who have migrated to Toronto from Sydney. Toronto is very similar to Sydney. It has some of the most exspensive housing in the world. Canada & Australia's economy is based on economic growth through mass immigration. The cost of this policy, means you also need to restrict development & zoning regulations to artificially keep properties high. Governments need make your population continually, working as slaves, to pay for basic costs, of a largely welfare dependent society. While your a debt slave, you don't spend your money on foreign products, as you have very little in the way of exsports, to pay for imports. The upside to this, you have many slaves to pay for the never ending welfare, as you have a policy of supporting refugees, single parents & the disabled, over self reliance & responsibility. Mental health issues are largly created by society, they are very rarely genetic. The high cost of living, means, you cant afford families. No strong family ties means, poor mental health issues. When you outsource, what familes once did, like help the the elderly, support your unemployed brother & have children. Replace all what families did with government welfare, instead of families helping each other, replace reproduction with mass immigration. You end up creating enormous problems in society. Problems with mental health & crime.\nNow for your modelling career. In Japan, your a novelty, as you have a different look to the Japanese. However in Canada, for your age what are your best features. You only have one. You have very good skin. However your face shape, is slightly disproportionate, basically, meaning your just an average shape face. You could also work on going to the gym, as your not toned. So basically as a whole, for your age group, your slightly above average, say a 6 out of 10, which is not all that good as 60% of Canada's population are overweight. Now as a model, you need to compete with people who are younger & better proportioned 7,8 & 9's. No such thing as a 10.

Canada SUCKS just like Australia!

When I was young I used to fantasise about going to Toronto Canada as I have some cousins who lived there. Today this makes me quite sad but it is a similar situation here in Sydney Australia but a few years behind you guys but affordable housing is a big issue and a small but growing homeless issue Rising. We don't have the extreme random violence like in Canada but stuff like that does happen in all major industrialised cities around the world. Growing population without good healthcare and infrastructure is a major issue in a lot of big cities around the world.\nWe have a government that wants to increase the population and at the same time acknowledge the fact that we don't have the infrastructure to cope for that and also squeezing that big population in a smaller and smaller space of course causing greater mental issues as a result

Dude you’re about to have the shock of your life!! All the points you mentioned here pretty much are a copy paste in Canada, cherry on the top is crappy weather. If the points you mentioned in your video are actually your concerns then you either need to look for opportunities in the UK or USA. You’ll find yourself where you are currently in 2 years in Canada as well and then you’ll be making another video about moving to US or UK. I kind of understand this as I now personally know 3 people who’ve done the same journey i.e. move from Australia to Canada or vice versa. In any case good luck!

Cost of houses in Canada is much worst fyi. Calgary is very expensive too, rents are always close to 2k per month. I live in Canada for many years and petroleum engineering has been decreased a lot. With that being said, Australia and Canada are very very similar and, sometimes, they appreciate you more if you come from the other one. I am getting the same experience on the way around and I got 2 offers from Australia living in Canada.

Canada is only close to the US and it's far from every other country in the world. \n\nAustralia has all of Asia on top of it hence why Australia gets most millionaires moving into their country than any other in the world. Australia also falls under Asia's time zone, which makes it a better choice for international students since nearly all of them come from Asia and also makes business a lot easier. \n\nAustralia is much closer to them than Canada.

I always thought about Australia as a Money Grabbing Scam, and this Vlog proves it.\n\nOn the contrary, Canada is a gem in terms of Immigration and Govt. Services and Assistance.\n\nBut in terms of Job Market both countries are one of the worsts period.

I watch these videos of immigrants going to Canada, the US,UK, and Australia. You have to listen to them complain about how hard it is where they are from and in their new country. Haan eknbaatbzaroor thi ki ghar milana asaan nahin hota. Canada has been ridiculously good to me and for me, even as I appreciate that this is not the average experience. I came here 36 years ago, when there were jobs looking for people, and not the other way around. Back then we had the choice to skill up some more or go in full force in careers, which worked for many of us. I can see how tough it would be for new immigrants now, especially professionals who were already established back in Africa not wanting to get re-validated in order to practice here. That is a journey best played out by new engineers, doctors and other crucial professions where they have time on their side and not feel like they are giving up much to start from scratch. Canada is great but each person has to weigh their reason for wanting to be here. If the scales tip this way, then one has to fully commit to the move to make it work. Otherwise, truly look to make that success happen wherever you are ..... Africa, Asia or Australia. It IS possible!

There are just so many misinformation and misrepresentation from this video. \n\nFor example, for how long has the person you are interviewing reside in Canada to be able to come to those conclusion? Is the person working full time? He said he is a research student so how does he know what it is to work and not enjoy your money when he is just a research student who is not earning salary? \n\nEveryone will just come to Canada and be talking down on the country. Why not go to US, UK or Australia and go find out if people are faring better there.\n\nSalary will be better in Nigeria where you are not paying taxes on most things. Its definitely problematic for people when different occupation have different scores required for PR but that's the reason canada is suffering and one has to do labour jobs because number of applications are unbalanced unlike in Australia and therefore australia has good salary in every occupation!

The standard of aircraft from UK to Abu dhabi always excellent. Lekin aircraft Abu Dhabi to pakistan and vice versa always sub standard. Its almost like bus coach standard. I studied in Australia and immigrated to Canada and its such a bad light on Canada as a country that I live in hasn't followed the same steps like its sister nations such as Australia and the UK.

Unfortunately healthcare in canada is not good. Australia is better.

Interestingly, the housing crisis is happening in anglo-centric countries, the UK, US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Ireland. Even in Canada, Quebec’s housing is not doing as bad as the rest of the country.
