Immigrants are so massive, that is scary mostly in big cities, we don't have this problem in the countryside. It is so rare to see new comers that had choose to work and live into 40 000 population city like mine. They are very welcome, we lack so much on workforce in every jobs and it is much more easy to find a place to stay. The biggest problem isn't immigration, it is those new jobs opportunities created when we still don't have workers to fill the gap elsewhere who need it most!\nAlso. immigrants to tends to choose living and working in cities as Montreal, Vancouver or Toronto. Canada isn't limited in those cities. Towns, countryside are options, the living cost of rent is lower, house cost less and driving 30minutes to 1 hour on the road to go work is what most does Canadian.

The problem is ability to buy a house. Without owning a house, inflation and cost of living becomes unbearable for families. Most people coming to Canada have strong family values, so when sticking to those values become unaffordable, people leave. Even those immigrants who are earning in six figures do not see the possibility of owning a house. The majority of new house ownership is still working out for those whose parents already own property in Canada.

If Canadians are leaving in large numbers then guess why new immigrants are leaving too!! Canada is a mess!!!!

Canadian expat living in Asia. Just returned from a visit to Canada. While spending time with family and catching up with them was awesome, I couldn’t wait to be back in Asia. I’m enjoying a lifestyle here in a tropical beach that would be unreachable in Canada. Eating out all my meals, going out, attending cool events, flying frequently to nearby countries for a weekend or week or weeks at a time. Eating clean healthy food, meeting inspiring and friendly people. Typing this from the beach on a Sunday morning while enjoying my big freshly squeezed carrot juice cup that I paid 60 cents for! \n\nCanada only for visiting once a year. \n\nSave money, work remotely or better yet, learn a high income skill and live anywhere while making money online is the new FREEDOM PLAN. Get on it while you can!

It is not possible to sustain the growing public sector at the expense of a dwindling private sector for long. Scaling back the public sector payroll is difficult, however, because it's just not as easy as laying people off due to their powerful unions, and the fact that this would be seen as a signal of a weakening economy, further scaring off potential investors. I would propose that no new public sector positions be created without eliminating old ones (essentially halting spending and taxation increases without creating a massive unemployment problem) until the year 2050 so that the balance between public and private sectors can re-establish itself.

See, I know this is wrong. But we have to be honest I am an Indian but moved to America. I stayed in New Jersey and the environment we created there is absurd. We made the place dirty, uncivilized behaviour and the list is long. This is happening in Canada too. Canadians identify everyone as Indians but the major problem they have is with Khalistanis. My experience girlfriend was Canadian, her mother owned a departmental store she caught and called cops on many occasions were our peyare caught on camera stealing, damaging the store and also peeing right in the corner of the store. I saw all these footage. The major problem with Canada is most of the Indian immigrants that went there were uneducated and directly went to Canada from Indian villages, it's a cultural shock for them and during the initial period everyone behaved in a uncivilized manner. Please understand the root cause of the issue. If I am a guest at your house and keep on causing harm to your home and if this keeps on repeating you will end up frustrated.

I also came to Canada in 2006 as an immigrant with my 2 bags and started my new life with empty handed which almost all Indians had started on their time. Yes it’s very hard to adopt other cultures 100% for first generation. But have you think how this new immigrants have their own house and good jobs or business. Why their kids achieved higher education without any loan because their parents worked 7 days without looking around so called culture. They believe in work hard and focus on their family and kids and in extra time visit temple or Gurudwara just to keep live their believes. Do you know how many places where you find 3 times free hot food for everyone in Brampton at Gurudwara and Temple without looking at his originality. \nDon’t think the immigrants are coming here are poor in their country or helpless like refugees. Most of are millionaires in India but in Indian culture the stupid thoughts is to earn for next 7 generations so because of that greediness they work here 7 days and that’s why they are not homeless. As they have some values of their Indian culture they have not drug addictions.\nNot 100% Indian are good and loyal or honest. There are few which you can find in any culture or religion.\nSo in bottom line immigrants are here because of govt policies and invitations. They are not came as refugees. (Assuming a min $40-45000 per student for 2 year diploma, between to $100,000 - 150,000 for undergrad, and around $50,000 for Masters degrees). Usually, international students have to pay most of this money before applying for the study visa. \n\n\n2. These colleges employ Canadians for their day to day operations. From cleaning, maintainance, administration to teaching, each college operates with approx 20-30million budget. So, more students lead to more employment for Canadians who further pay taxes.\n\n\n3. All students start work straightaway, pay taxes, and do not qualify for social security. They do not qualify for any student loans by Canadian govt or banks. So, they generate revenue for Canada through their work and taxes. The thing that govt LOVES.\n\n\n4. These students become new consumers and their expenditure generate revenues for local businesses.\n\n\n5. Most Colleges would not survive without international students. Which is good in the sense that only quality colleges will survive and other hanky panky colleges would shut down. However, such closures will lead to job losses, bankruptcy when the colleges won't be able to afford their expenses.\n\n\nSo, considering these factors it will be an industry collapse. Govt needs to control immigration. They need to introduce intelligent policies. The steps that current govt is currently taking are politically motivated not rational.

I doubt that why the immigration policy never send people to develop new cities, there are massive land and small towns can develop in Canada. Problem occurs because all immigrants sticked with big cities like Toronto and Vancouver, thats a chaos with 400k people move in those cities every year.

Yes, white people came to the new world and conquered the natives. For the next few hundred years they built western society as we know it. They were immigrants from different places, but they were mostly homogeniously white, and more importantly, they had commonality in their social norms, holidays, cultures, laws and religion. Mostly English, Irish, Scottish, French, German, polish, etc. -- they blended well and eventually created their own unique shared identities in Canada and United States. Things were stable and people were happy. Immigrants continued to flow, but in smaller numbers over greater lengths of time. This allowed time for integration, learning the common language, finding decent employment and housing, ect. Then Immigrants from vastly different cultures started arriving and in greater numbers, and greater rates... Job availability, housing, educational/medical services, travel infratructure could not keep pace with the sheer speed and amount of people flooding in. Therefore, everything and everyone suffered, and it isn't stopping.

In situations like these, tell them to go back to where their forefathers are from. Whites cannot claim USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand as their own.

This isn't just a white or black thing it's an out of control immigration system where people use loopholes in the system to gain residency. Myself I've notice a skyrocketing scam scheme and how can you not equate that to the rise in our broken immigration policy. The last time I heard you had to have certain criteria to be considered to immigrate and why is that some countries like from the South Pacific you need to know English have money in the bank and a skill or degree on a list of acceptable qualifications. So many who can't even read or write English have jobs, drive a car, then to make matters worse have housing yet we have a crisis? Most Canadians see the pattern and most are educated enough to know there is something to be said, loopholes and when they find it they abuse the system.

Stop all bilateral trade with Canada. \nTeach them a lesson and make them understand this is new world order. If Canada wants good relations, they must put an end to this hypocrisy!

Please respect great welcoming tradition of Canada. Definitely it’s hard time for citizens, but likewise it’s even harder for a new comer without family here.

You do know, that while Canada already been giving the Skilled Workers the preferential treatment fir decades, many of the Doctors, Engineers, Nurses, etc are unable to get a job of their training, bc they must write expensive, long exams! \n\nIf they had been out of the University for years, this is not easy to do! They need to support their families, study again and save Thousands of $$$ to pay for and write these exams! Canada makes it difficult for them to work in their field! \n\nThey receive many promises from the Canadian Immigration Department, which often does not deliver! A valid example, those with the Master’s Degrees, too often, receive only the Bachelor Degree equivalency in Canada, despite the promise of their degrees and experience in the field to be honoured! It’s an unjust and an unfair system! An Engineer driving a Taxi! Many, many such examples! \n\nThat’s why many highly-educated immigrants are working as taxi drivers, delivering food, or in under -educated jobs, etc! I met a hospital Medical Lab Tech, who was a Doctor in his birth country!! Another immigrant was a Lab Tech working as a Lab Assistant! Still, another immigrant with a Master’s Degree and experience in the Medical Cancer Research working as a Lab Assistant! \n\nThe bills don’t wait until they write the new exams, save the required money and qualify, etc!!
