Salams, my African sisters. I loved your informative video it’s very similar to living in the US, where I’m from. Here it is much worse, there is RACISM, CRIME, ect. You would wait 8 hours in hospital but have to pay thousands yourself. The taxes are less here but you spend so much more in healthcare and at work you get one week of vacation and you’re discouraged to take it. The cost of living is high here as well. I love hearing about Canada you are both so beautiful and blessed.

OK. HAD TO STOP THIS BECAUSE I HATE PEOPLE BASHING CANADA BUT YOU TWO I DO NOT MIND IT. Ok you want to leave? well for you guys its Russia; what I have seen of Russia (Siberia mostly), i well not argue with you why you want to go back. I can not compare Russia with Canada for living (we can compare hockey teams and players tell we are blue in the face and someone pulls us out of the snow) and I wish someone like you two would do videos of stuff like government services, the police, fire, and ambulance services. mail services, medical services.. And so on. Even a video of taking city transit. I would say more, but i am getting home sick for Russia and I am not from there

Living in Canada is great and lovely. Yes we have high taxes but the money is used for infrastructure, good health etc. about working, living in every Western Country, you have to work to live a good life. The amount of weeks to go for vacation depends on the type of job and the years you have worked in that company and hours you have accumulated. It’s not usually 2 weeks as you stated. Lots of people gets one month, six weeks etc. About the professionalism as stated, if the university of your country is a recognized one, you may be asked to take few courses to top up to Canadian Standard. Some people who come as nurses writes their NCLEX and can work, others take few nursing courses and then write their NCLEX. Canada is a Peaceful country. If you go to school and have your profession and live a balance life, you can buy your house and enjoy life. Canada is a family oriented country.

Hey. It all about choice. So let’s get it straight. The people who worked hard to build and develop Canada over the last 200 Years and paid their taxes, that’s ok. You however, feel you shouldn’t have to pay your way like Canadians. If you love your Country and the lifestyle, why did you leave it? Again it’s a case of the minority spoiling it for the many Immigrants from all over the world who LOVE CANADA AND APPRECIATE THE OPPORTUNITY CANADA HAS GIVEN THEM. They worked hard to build a life for themselves and their Family. Many of them became wealthy financially and in a personal sense and never expected the Government or anyone to give them a free hand. These people make Canada what it is in spite of people like you. So, leave now and make room for someone else who what’s the opportunity to live in Canada and shall appreciate it. Ho by the way, just remember to leave your Passport here and renounce your Canadian Citizenship, which you obviously do not respect or value. We Canadians shall wish you every success wherever you decide to live. I promise you that I shall never move to your Country and expect a free cup of coffee, never mind a free lunch. There's an old say from my country that goes: the cat whose belly is full, always find the tail of the mouse taste bitter. So the immigrant, like a hungry cat, comes to Canada for food( opportunities) and once his belly is full, he then starts complaining of the taste of the food. You ladies just named every single reason why an opportunist can't stay in one place. I live, as an immigrant in the US, and Im a physician, and I can tell you while the Canadian health system is flawed it is far better than the US. Your 8 hrs+ waiting in the ER is literally a standard waiting time...so please be PATIENT! ( just getting a little sarcastic here, i know it sucks!) 35 to 40% of my money go the government ( although i feel they take 50%) and life is not that cheap ( a lot of Physicians leave expensive places like NY because they can't afford them anymore! ) have you heard of HOMELESS workers in LA? ( some have 2 jobs but still can't afford an apartment and live in their cars ) things are hard everywhere, especially if you are an immigrant living in one of the coldest place in the world (btw nobody called you, that was your choice, so suck it up!) I hope one day, while Im still young, I can go back home to work for my people, and not when I retire and tired to have my people work for me, how selfish and opportunistic is that mentality! The Nomad life most of you like, is killing a country spirit and Culture and it's no longer feasible in modern society, since the lands have borders and names and inhabited by people that value a sedentary life. The idea of people going to the foreign countries to get their passport so they can travel the world, sounds so individualistic...which Nation can develop with that kind of thinking of their citizens?....definitely not yours.

As for skilled workers, applies everywhere as you need to relearn laws, policies etc and cannot get into any professional role just like that. As for work-life balance, you get plenty here unless you are working non professional jobs. It is much worse in the US as you work crazy hours professionals or not although, has more fun things to do than Canada. What you can do is take mini vacations during long weekends etc by driving down to the US or a different city here in Canada to break the monotony.

it's understandable that people get homesick, but how many people are crossing thru deserts, the ocean, going thru countries like libya, greece, where they're place into enslavement, beaten, having to be exploited as sex workers, and they still haven't arrived to their destination. \n\nthese people what take what you have in Canada without looking back. You started the video with an opinion not a fact. You can In fact gain wealth here. You have access to RRSPs and tax Free Savings accounts to help with Taxea for people earning over 6 figures. No one has tries to take your money, the policies are clear as day. You also have access to the Canadian stock market where they will allow you to keep 50% of your excess and tax the other 50%. Your statement needs way more context and a broader discussion. Stil love the video but we need to state all the facts. Also the mentality of me paying taxes and taking care of people is what causes my home country on Jamaica to be in trouble. Your little tax money ain't taking care of anyone. There are over 23 million people here trust me we are giving cents to initiatives in Canada. Quality of life, Security, Health Care, Children Support, Old Age Pension, access to great jobs if you are will to put in the work and start over. Again we can't come here and expect to just fall in. You just joined a line of thousands of people in your career field who have been fighting to get great job opportunities. You have to fight and you will be okay. Or do what many people did and change your career and you can have a special life here. Obviously nothing is better than home

Canada business system prefers the big franchises businesses that have millions of dollars. If you have a small shop or restaurant get beaten by the big corporations that has franchises. the food costs are high and when selling u just cant sell for a better profit that can actually make you money. The Chinese and Indians knows how to sell little many items at a low cost just to be on a very tinny profitable way to keep on going. The Multi big paying makes money in Canada not the small business immigrants come and create. Those business don't built wealth because the big corporations are pushed by the Gov more in creating jobs and paying the big corporate taxes that in turn the taxes help support the social programs for those that cant work and also providing the basic needs to those that needs it through the taxes paid. In many African states many of the individual business that strife and create wealth because there isn't too much huge corporations that competes with this small business like the first world nations. In SA for example we have seen an explosion of many migrants going there creating small business and striving better than they will be in Canada. The taxes are high in Canada that's true u cant be rich sorry u will work until you lose your hair f not your hair turns white in a very short time due to too much stress and worries. Canada is good for social programs it takes care off those that don't' work if you work forget about getting rich but supporting those that don't work through the allocated taxes. Canada and the first world nations supports Big corporation and Franchising not really a fan of small business even when they are here they just don't create huge profits to think they will make it. In fact when the economy falls those shops easily shut down entirely and when they do reopen they barely make profits. I have seen Nigerian, Ghanaian small shops with Ethiopian and Jamaican business.

I think relocating to Canada and subsequently leaving is a product of not having proper information or having a misconception about a western country before moving there in the first place. There's an emphasis of 'you really have to work hard' for new immigrants which they generally take for granted. Quite frankly, only sincere people empathize on hardwork. I find that most people seeking suggestion/advice always want to start from the top to bottom rather than bottom to top. Every society has it's own challenges. New immigrants who have just been in Canada for only 3years get frustrated while comparing themselves with people who have lived in Canada for 15 years. Growth is a gradually process, when it's automatic it's too good to be true!! All these similar countries run the say type of system, you gotta love where you chose to live. With that being said, we will continue to welcome new immigrants who re willing to start from the beginning to grow their dreams and wave goodbye to people who came and decided to leave. Lol! I live in South Africa and pay those 40-45%% taxes and get nothing back in terms of service delivery. I'd take Canada life any day. I don't wanna build wealth and get killed in the streets because of it. \n\nHaving said that, I'd choose Australia because of the weather and outdoors lifestyle.

First of all I'm guessing you are in Toronto or Vancouver or Calgary maybe Montreal, The most expensive places in Canada to Live for sure. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. Free health care you mentioned waiting 8 hours in emergency but you failed to mention if you need to see a specialist your talking months and you'll probably die first. This is the reality we face after the excitement of moving to Canada fades off. The worst for me is the fact that you get this 'big job' that pays well and after it all, govt has a way of redistributing it. It's really frustrating and it discourages some people for looking for higher paying jobs bcos at the end, govt still takes it. All Canada not only Vancouver it’s very isolated.\nPeople can’t afford to buy a house because the house marketing is 3 times the price compared to USA. The houses have shitty materials compared to my original country, and you simply can’t built by your own and that’s why every price rises.\nAnother issue you didn’t mention it’s there is no scholarships, it’s incredible expensive to get a proper education like university, and even so, they no offered scholarships. In Mexico almost everyone can reach the opportunity to study to be anything (lawyers, doctors) AND there is why you can get professional services everywhere. Here in Canada the business never have profesional services (like a real Human Resources, who studies for 5 years to be the best influence in a company, or a real engineering taking care of the machines in a plant. Canada only hire the cheap hand to avoid paying and I can understand it, but if more people could study more money moves in the country.\nAnother issue is there is not any public transportation into the cities or provinces, so if you don’t have a car, a driver license (it’s not easy to get one) and pay the super expensive insurance (it’s incredible 10 times more expensive than in Mexico) your can’t move from the place you are. Because of the weather you simply can’t move in a bike.\nPeople live just for pay rent, buy some groceries and buy some pre owned cloths in the thrift store.\nAnother problem it’s many rules to open a small bussines (like selling some food) \nHealth care it’s not exactly free: you need to pay for your prescriptions out of the hospital or if you never been hospitalized. And it’s very expensive to pay for them. I know of a few taxi drivers that have law degrees or a PhD in the way they get treated is astounding the young need to be educated not just the Young the ignorant people say they're taking our jobs they're taking our jobs because they're work ethic is 100 times better in some cases in most cases people that are from a country that has benefited them wouldn't know damn thing about a hard life. The french are so bent on having their own little country they treated anglos like dirt. Eh we were all in the same boat as these people or our ancesters were. some of us were taken by the British and forced to come here. So stop whining and be polite to our guests. the government should be building towns on our North shore so we can start selling our resources and Canada could b e a very wealthy country. But too many that have been here for generations still hold their hand out. I will take snow, cold and all the rest before desert heat. You can get severe depression from constant heat, sunshine. Anxiety and depression are a result from super high temps( Dog days of summer,) Try 9-10 MONTHS a year over 95. I have tempt 134-137 19 times on my property in 12 years. I have 87 trees planted and a misting system. Very hard for pets, and even farm animals. Known fact severe heat much more dangerous for people than cold. When it rains here, you get lightning strikes( massive fires), massive winds. Very few days you can use an umbrella and walk in the rain. I can go on. The desert is massively depressing, very ugly and very few scenic places. Plus tweakers. Lots and lots of tweakers. I love Canada. I have spent 22 years here( desert) Lousy on health,mental and physical. Beautiful place. Beautiful people. Love you Canada

My experience about Canada after living here for a few years now: \n1): Healthcare: There are two sides of it. If you need a specialist, forget about it, just live with your disease or problems and hope it will cure itself and won’t get worse. If you are in a life threatening condition and need a surgery, you’ll get it and the medical bill won’t scare you. I needed a dermatologist, never got one, eventually had to fly to the US for a simple treatment. \n2): Taxes: You’ll pay extra to take care of the large aging population of Canada and to maintain the infrastructure in the extreme cold weather. But, you can make a good use of your RRSP and TFSA accounts, and you can also buy American stocks without paying taxes. \n3): Travel and transportation: Forget about public transportation methods like buses and trains. You’re on your own. But a vehicle ownership isn’t very hard here. \n4): Social networking: Good luck with that. Good luck finding friends here or being a part of a friends group. Canadians are polite but not outgoing and extrovert. Most people make a few friends in Schools and College. You’re not going to see people of different races and origin hanging out with each other. \n5): Real estate: Population is growing, population is aging, it’s all happening but what’s not many houses are getting built. Buying your own house isn’t easy. If you’ve bought one, good luck with the energy prices. \n5): Landscape: It’s gorgeous out here, if you want to be happy in Canada, go out for sightseeing.\n6): Jobs: Totally depends in which jobs you can fit in and what previous experience you have. It takes me 3 months to get a doctor appointment in the US here in Seattle and I was just told several months to see my eye doctor. Depending on medical plan the insurance means you do not go to the specialist without a referral. So Canadians may not have as much to complain about. My parents were immigrants to Canada because it was easier (my father was in Danish Merchant Marine and was in China Sea when his appointment would come up in New York). They did not have it easy because they did not speak the language and worked hard to learn. Working as a housekeeper was the norm for females and my mother's education meant nothing when she expected to work in a bank. Danes stuck together and helped each other to get jobs, with carpentry (most had apprenticeships like brick laying), to socialize, etc. and this is normal for immigrants. Working multiple jobs was normal and having a great home was their American dream instead of a government apartment. It is true for all immigrants that their kids will do better than the parents. The kids will have no accent if they learn English by age 12. There are age cutoffs on learning a language in child development. During the hiring process the jobs are given to people the interviewer perceives as being like themselves. This is proven by psychologists (I am one). This puts immigrants at a disadvantage unless they have a rare skill without competition. Dad got his house and Mom took my sister and went back to Denmark because of health issues and the US has garbage medical care and social services for the elderly (poor sister didn't speak Danish because it wasn't allowed in case it impacted our English skill). As a daughter of immigrants I worked 20 hours days and weekends almost all my life. I put myself through school and have been successful despite being female and making much less than men. Immigrants need to realize that it will be their kids who make the big bucks and succeed while the parents who immigrated will struggle. As a cultural mix (US, Canadian and Danish citizen because of wacky sexist rules) I have had a lot of confusion over the years trying to fit in and figure out what my values are. I have had to ask my US husband is that behavior normal? Of course different states in the US or going 200 miles north to Canada means a different language to speak (Canadian or Spanish in the South) and different values, ways of dress, etc. so being an immigrant can mean just traveling 200 miles north or to an insane state like Texas or New York. Culture shock is everywhere but most of us move for the money. I am thinking of going back to Canada but my home was Vancouver and that now looks like a hell hole. My husband had over a million dollars in medical care and I really do not wish to lose all my assets to medical costs in the US. So now I am trying to choose between death by earthquake in BC somewhere or death by tornado or perhaps fire storm in Calgary due to climate change.

If you have to pay for your dentist, some surgeries and health expenses just take a plane and flight to Mexico, Colombia where dentists and doctors are even better than here in Canada and you have to pay only 10% of what you are paying in Canada and you’ll have holidays for free in a warmer country. Life is getting unpredictable in Europe, China or USA so from my point of view Canada is a safer place to live in the next 10 or 20 years even your way of life or income won’t be so high. Energy, food, transport, health, virus problems will be traumatic in many European countries, China or USA and also some Latin American countries where people will be impoverished because of left wing parties in power like it’s happening in all Latin America.

housing prices in my country are the same as in Canada and we get paid significantly less. The average salary in my country is 565 Canadian dollars. I’m definitely willing to take my chances to immigrate to Canada. Apart from low wages, safety is a huge issue and the public health care is a joke and we pay taxes for it!!

I moved to Canada about 17 years ago and yes it is an absolute pain to jump through all the hoops they want you to go through. I was only here a few days and I came from Ireland as a brick and stone mason they recruited me from Ireland and wanted me to come out. Within three days on the job I learned I would be getting less wages than the other bricklayers. I packed up my tools and walked off the job I notified the employer and the union by emails and told him I’d be flying back home in a few days. Well the union and the employers came running straight away to get me to stay. Trying to explain that after a couple of months I’d be on the same money as the rest of the guys. This is where I explain to them that taking home C$1100 was already a pay cut a massive pay cut as are used to take home 2500 to 2200 Euros living in Ireland. I moved to Canada for a change of lifestyle but that doesn’t mean I was going to be taken advantage of. And that’s when they said they would pay me the same as everybody else. Sometimes you just have to stand up for yourself and be willing to follow through. They even reimbursed me for the airline ticket I bought to go back. Some skill sets they really need in this country in addition Canadians population growth is absolutely dependent upon immigration as the family sizes and birth rates are critically to lol to sustained a country. As I’ve said I’ve been living here 17 years now and I am a Canadian citizen I guess that makes me an Irish Canadian now.

My grandparents immigrated from Italy and Ireland. They never got nice warm Canada Goose jackets, clothes, Nike shoes designer jeans, free English lessons or welfare. They paid there way, bought their land and found work LEGALLY, paid to learn English.\nThey did not steal unemployed Canadians jobs going through Trudeaus let’s hire out of the country so our government funds part of the wage. What we get are lousy heath care workers who barely understand or speak the English language and are caring for our Elderly and mistreating them. This I saw first had. I took my Mother home out of a senior home and cancelled home care as they never showed up on time. Would they leave there parent in a urine soaked brief for 5 hours as that is how late they were. I had to quit my job to take care of her. I myself am disabled with a spinal injure. The worst part of “Home Care workers” is that they wanted me to call in and cancel so they got paid. This statement gave from the Home Care nurse in charge of these immigrants working here. Seven of my friends, who are educated health care workers, which they themselves paid for, not paid my our government. They can’t get a job. The last job I applied for and they ask you status I put that I am a Canadian refugee in my own country. \nPretty sad when on Remembrance Day you have these woke individuals begging for money to help refugees. They should be ashamed of themselves for this disgusting action as this is a time to remember the men and women who fought for our freedom. Trudeau is a total embarrassment to all Canadians. He brings in more refugees rather than helping Veterans and homeless Canadians.

I’ve lived in Canada my whole life, I’ve gone through a year of culinary school and passed high school with decent grades. Yet still improving my quality of life is an uphill battle. Bus prices and efficiency is awful, if you don’t have a car good luck cause you’ll spend much of your wage on bus fare and still have to walk through poor sidewalk systems to get to your destination. Schooling really didn’t teach me anything about taxes, or getting a job. But let me tell you I sure as heck know how to lease a car.... can’t wait to get a job so I can do that. My year of culinary training, under 4 red seal chefs has gotten me not one job. No matter how perfect you are for the role is you will ALWAYS get an entry level position first. (In my experience at least) and they are completely right, references are 100% key. I have a first shift tomorrow (wish me luck) that I only got because my chiropractor gave the pancakes house owner his reference. Very weird but I’ll take it. On top of all this winter just sucks, politics have gone nowhere in years, and if you don’t live in the major cities of Quebec, BC, or Ontario it’s going to be even harder. Plus living in Manitoba is odd cause people always call it “friendly Manitoba” but everyone (including me) is always frustrated. Needless to say I’m in the process of researching new place to move to, most likely in Europe cause America has all the same problems. (But worse)

I like how y’all have created this video by not applying a negative undertone rather more of an informative approach to caution prospective movers of what potentially awaits them. All I would like to highlight is the fact that some people will experience all these points as negative aspects or maybe even one or two that might lead to the breaking point.\nIt all depends on where you come from and how life was in your “home” country.\nYou might come from a higher tax environment with non existent healthcare and education. From that perspective, 40% taxes might look better and the healthcare might be great or crap depending on what your health issues are. I personally haven’t had any struggles with most of these aspects - finding a great job was relatively easier, (key word - relatively) the healthcare system worked for me when I needed it to, I was mentally prepared for the high taxes, I culturally adapted to the point where people thought I was Canadian and didn’t realize I came in from a very different environment. I’m sure this cultural adaptation helped me with my job and made it easier to live here.\nAll in all, you can say I’ve had the “perfect” immigrant experience that most people would dream of. But what do i think really? Personally, I have come to realize that Canada at the moment does not fit into my personal goals and values and that is okay. Loneliness away from people you love can be tough. It just isn’t the same feeling making new friends and hanging out with coworkers who are much older than you are and in a different place in life. I’m very close to my family and friends who I’ve grown up with and are on the other side of the world. My parents are getting older and I want to spend as much time with them as possible. For that reason, I might consider being somewhere closer to them. I’d perhaps consider coming back here some day when I’ve got my own family and kids which I currently don’t have. To me, that’s a personal value high on the list. I guess my only takeaway from this video and advise to people looking at each of these points - take each one and compare it with your home country. If you think you’re better off in Canada, then move - it’s a great place! If not, think about it real hard and weigh out the pros and cons.

If you want to get ahead put in the effort and take risks. If you're a young single person you can very easily make a lot of money with sacrifices. Canada has lots of opportunities for well-paid work if you're willing to travel and put in hard work.

So here is the thing about what you have said about retraining and going back to school over here in Canada..\nMy wife has spent ten years going to universities in BC becoming a counselor but now we have moved to BN they want her to spend another 4 years proving to someone in NB that she can do the job she has been doing for 15 years , oh and she is a Canadian!\nI have 20 years experience as a plumber even before I moved to Canada, I prove this to the canadain goverment I can do my job get my visa. Then you have to do this all over again because the unions are really in charge over here, they dont want people like me moving here from the UK taking their jobs as they put it...\nWhy say to someone that, hey you can come over as you are exactly what we need! then tell them they have to go back to Collage and sit more exams and do schooling all over again.. I came over as a Plumber been here ten years and have worked as a plumber in Canada for 3 years tops as it was getting harder to get work, what is the point in this? \nAnd don't even think about leaving one province for another and expecting to be able to just do your job, that is not going to happen.. If I had known what I know now about Canada before I came here I would still be in the UK

I'm currently planning to immigrate to Canada. As for me, the very reason why I want to move there is to have better life. There are some great points mentioned to this video but for some cases, most especially if you talk about other underpriviledge countries, Canada is much more better. I'm from the Philippines and I would say that our country is suffering from everything. High price of goods, salary for CAD375 minimum (for a month even you're bachelor degree holder), no health benefits (unless you are working in a private company that offers benefits), no educational benefits (I would consider scholarship but that wouldn't enough to survive in every semester that you'll take). Senior Citizens / PWD that only gets benefit from their 20% discount in every purchase they make for medicine and food and seniors sometimes didn't get their pensions... so on and so forth.\n\nI think, it all boils down from what country you came from and differences of the gov't system that they have. And all of us needs to work hard to get a better life. It will always depends on our decision on what lifestyle do you choose or how do you live your life or what life do you want to live.\n\nBut to conclude this, this is a great video. This a great heads up for those who wants to come to Canada.

Justin Trudeau seriously caused a huge immigration issue of Mexicans and south americans coming to our country. Like dude I was born in Canada and my parents are immigrints who came legally so I can tell you my side. A non biast side. Since I live and work here I can tell u most people of colour r welcoming, however most people who are here and have trouble finding work dont wanna see more people come and make it harder like texas and arizonia. They dont wanna have a min standard and have a reguee take their job at a quarter of what ur asking. What Justin Trudeau did was really stupid IMO. U opened the door to millions of reguees. This causing a issue more for USA, so they jump 2 international borders. My personal view is lets stip immigration. CLose the border. WE gotta take care of who we have here already. I am sick and tired of seeing people not being able to get a job here, and adding more workers with less standards is not the answer for us. This guy automatically thought we would let him in? Seriously nothing is free and promised in this world. Thus sir please go back to Mexico. You will be fine there
