Solution is not reporting solution is no more immigrants from everywhere in the world should enter Canada either for work or for studies.....so those who are in Canada should get jobs fast stop bringing more pple yet the one's that are here they're still suffering......

It's not diversity..it's cultural invasion...one kind of people in the name of immigration will definitely dilute the local culture for sure specially indian dilute local culture very very fast than any other groups of immigrants

Of late, JT ( Liberal party) has become the whipping boy of Canada for all wrong reasons especially for the intake of a large number of international students and no one seems to be blaming the Conservative party that actually removed  the cap in 2014.  In 2014, in line with the International Education Strategy published by the  Government of Canada, the ruling dispensation decided to raise the number of international students from around 240,000 to over 450,000 by the year 2022. \n\nAccordingly in 2014, the then ruling dispensation (Conservative party) enhanced the number of international students visas to 327 thousand from the previous cap of 240 thousand.  In 2015, the figure went upto 352 thousand, representing almost a 47% increase  by CPC during their last 2 years in office .  As of 2023, there are over 1.5 million students holding study permits in Canada. \n\nIt is a known fact and no Canadian can sweep it under the carpet that the economic impact from the contribution by international students was felt across the entire country. From a mere $ 9 billion in 2014 it went to $12.8 billion in 2015 and it further enhanced to 15.5 billion in 2016. \n\nBy 2022, the Canadian government reported that the annual economic contribution of international students had increased to $22.3 billion, greater than exports of auto parts, lumber or aircraft. \n\nNow it is for the Canadians  to decide  as to who should be blamed  for  if Canadians feel that their country has become like a third world country- the international students who had contributed more than $22.3 billion to the exchequer of the govt  in the last 10 years or both the mainstream political parties namely Liberal Party and Conservative  Party  that failed the Canadians by opening up the flood gate to international students with  their eyes set only on the economic contribution  by international students  without  realising the after effect of huge unchecked  immigration of students. A myopic approach by the successive governments has brought in all sorts of chaos,  unrest, unemployment, shortage of houses, increase in cost of living etc..etc....to the Canadians. I can only sympathise with Canadins who are facing undue hardship and mental agony because of the wrongdoings of successive governments while worrying about the future of my ward who is pursuing  three years study program there.

You asked us to share what we think, so here is what l think... \n\nThe immigration target for 2024 was around 500,000 people true, this includes everyone given a PR in 2024 (spouse, children) but the larger portion of this 500k is via economic migration which only issued a total of 110,000 invitations to apply for 2023 for example. this means that only 110k people were invited to apply for PR. These people have family members (spouse and kids) that accompany them there by increasing the total PR migrants to that +500k figure. \nSo now to your point....\n\nif only 110k people are invited to apply for PR each year, and these people bring family members this means they stay in one house (main applicant, spouse and three kids will stay in 1 house for example)....\n\nif 250k houses are being built each year.... \n\nthis means there are 250k house built each year versus 110 people that came in...\n\nin my view, more than enough houses will be built in the next couple of years to take care of the migrants coming in\n\n\n\nthis is what l think.

They arrest innocent ones in canada and criminals such as immigrants get a slap on the hand.

Immigration in Canada is a cycle. My guess is in 5 to 10 years the doors will be wide open again for immigration as the Boomers die off in mass. Housing is an issue because the entry level houses are not being built. I know guys in construction who develop homes and they ALWAYS build upper to high end houses because they are more profitable for the builder. Combine this with many people buying 1 or 2 extra homes and then using them as airBnB (Igor! lol!). But the worst is large hedge funds buying massive amounts of homes for profit. Some estimates say 20% or so of the housing stock is owned by hedge funds atm. In the last 4 years Hedge funds made MASSIVE purchases in real estate as a hedge against inflation. Canada does not exist in a vacuum as the USA has some very similar housing issues. One last thing is people do NOT want home prices to go down. 2/3rds or so of people own a home and the LAST THING they want is for their home value to DECREASE! So you really will not see massive changes to decrease home prices no matter what political party is in power. The majority of voters have a vested interest in high and higher home prices. Making it easier for people to buy a home is probably the best short term solution.

Immigration is fine, but need to be a bit more selective though. It appears as there is only one country that is supplying immigrants to Canada currently, India. Which is not fair to anybody as it defeats multiculturalism. Why there is only one race dominating? So many Indians everywhere. \n\nBring migrant from all over the world instead, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, why just India. Something is not right.

Just so people understand how we live.. I'm a disabled person who lost my leg working for the government and was put on a pension that gives me 19k a year.. my rent is 18k a year.. an asylum. Seeker or immigrant receives 62k per year I have one asylum Seekers living with me. And dosent work and makes more them my that works full time even though I can't walk and he get to drive around in a new car and send money home to take care of his family back home n sends money back to get more family members here to get more money

Not all you back Palestine are Muslim. I am a British patriot, yet oppose Israel over the behaviour of the Settlers in the West Bank and the apartheid regime there. After all there is no requirement or law that says to be patriotic and love ones country you have to support Israel. I was at that march in London, carrying the Union Flag. I was not marching against Islam, or in support of Israel. Well lets be fair, why blaming immigrants on the current problem that Canada is facing right now?. no one taking a job from Canadian, it just that somes don’t like to work here in a minimum wages and sometimes they can’t stay longer in their work and quit very easily. So we can’t blame the companies to chose those people who are accepting the low job salary. One of my closest friends in 2nd gen Indian Canadian in his 30’s, and even he’s had enough of these immigrants coming into Canada and behaving badly because he doesn’t want to be associated with them simply because they look like him.\nWe’re hearing stories of these new immigrants pooping in public, acting incredibly misogynistic towards women, overcrowding rental spaces, sex trafficking women and girls for room and board, and now flooding into the US illegally on tourist visas to Canada, causing tension with the US. \nOn top of this, the Indian government has been enacting state sponsored assassinations on political dissidents in Canada, the US, and Europe, as well as buddying up to Russia which is a hostile criminal government adversarial to NATO countries. \nI’ve personally seen Canadians go from the most welcoming people on earth trying to bring in as many people as possible, becoming increasingly anti-immigration, at least towards India in particular. \nThere doesn’t seem to be the same hostility towards other nations of other ethnicities, so it’s not a racial issue, it is specifically targeted towards Indians because of the bad behaviour of those who’ve recently immigrated.

It is unfair to the individuals who are relocating to Canada under the current circumstances. Recognizing the issues with our nation's trajectory does not require one to hold racist views. If Canadians genuinely cared about all people, they would seek to prevent the misleading promises made by the Liberal and NDP governments. Many immigrants were promised a prosperous country but have instead encountered challenges such as a housing crisis, rising cost of living, opioid addiction and homelessness issues, inflation, healthcare strains, high unemployment, high taxes, and a declining standard of living. \n \nNotably, Canada is technically in a recession, and without the influx of money brought in by immigrants, the country's economic struggles would be more apparent. The economy appears healthier on paper due to foreign investment and spending, but underlying issues persist. While immigration has significantly impacted Canada in multiple ways, the responsibility lies not with the immigrants who were overpromised, but with the Liberal and NDP governments that have underdelivered. To clarify, I am not a conservative. The CBC has produced an informative piece on this topic for those interested in learning more.

Immigrants refuse to adapt to our norms, no one hates and its not racism we as Canadians are sick of having our culture destroyed in the name of diversity. It's so pathetic we can't even say Merry Christmas anymore cause of cry baby Muslims, well go home then.

If you go to Delhi on a visitor visa, why would the Indian government approve you of a post-graduation work permit or permanent residency? This is because India is not a country who have policies or programs for student visas or permanent residency for immigrants. Yes, indeed, they should not demand permanent residency, but it is not the students who make these immigration programs including student visas or temporary work permits or pr, it's the Canadian government who introduced all these policies, and if somebody is applying for student visa and spending $50000 for studies, they are applying because they see potential for permanent residency and that's how immigration websites do the marketing for attracting the international students. If they had known that work permits or pr is not possible through any programs, they would not have applied at the first point. It's the government's responsibility to make it clear on their policies or on immigration websites. Now they started making it strict by closing those programs but it's too late, what about the people who are already here invested their money. They did not enter Canada by just waking up one day and thought lets go Canada. The government welcomed them and they approved them. The argument of the reporter is totally wrong because they did not know that they would face hatred or racism when they applied for student visas. Now they saw a large population and started hating.

Canada is not fair to people from other countries, immigration should be a fair distribution from around the world not one country

As a Indian who is now Canadian, no one is banning. We just have too many unskilled immigrants that are a burden on our tax money. Plus, these people are freeloaders and commit crimes. Before COVID, the immigrants were predominantly high skilled. Now we have hoards of low skilled immigrants.

Can't blame them, they build a beautiful country and now immigrants get to spoil it! ?? I feel your pain In India ?? Canada needs to stop any and all Indian immigrants and temporary students from coming into Canada. The ones that have come over the last 5 years have done nothing but disrespect Canada and done nothing to integrate into Canadian culture.

Similar has happened to Surrey/North Delta British Columbia of the 400,000 residents living here,179,000 are from India. I remember years ago when Brampton was a small quaint town back in the 1970s this India didn't exist. Generally this happens when years ago real estate was cheap all the Indians moved in to the cheaper part of the community then slowly took over, and invaded the community. Same happened in 1995 in Richmond BC when Hong Kong leases expired with China. This once beautiful community was completely invaded.\n\nSo much for immigrants who immigrate to Canada that do not understand how Canada works and frankly don't care, There is no education program to help integrate such people to be multicultural , unfortunately this happened with the old Europeans as well as little Italy, and other areas where other European took over little areas of Toronto. \n\nHowever I think Brampton, and Surrey/North Delta/Richmond BC. Is far far worse and much more invaded by people not wanting to truly integrate in Canadian society. It's blantantly in your face and when and event happens india or any other countries of such immigrants are coming from they amsss huge protests to bring it to the media as if Canada is responsible for that. Do you know where the tax money goes to illegal immigrants who defame your country and even want to destroy and hate you? They get a pension for two years and get an apartment for two years with paid rent and also a supermarket money card. The people are the ones who rule, not one person. You can immortalize a great memory for generations to fight anyone who spends your money on someone else. The money should be spent on the people and the country. Taxes can be sent to the people by reducing the cost of oil, electricity or real estate.

If the situation was reversed, we were living in an impoverished country and were invited to immigrate to another country with better opportunities, I know damn well Canadians would jump at it, so I can't blame Indians for coming here. The fault lies squarely on Trudeau for bringing in more immigrants than Canada's population can handle and even more so, not providing housing driving housing prices and rents up. As far as pooping on the beach goes, I am sorry, where there is smoke there is usually fire and as even bleeding heart Liberals have claimed, it is acceptable in India, so pretty good chance someone took liberties here. As far as I am concerned, if you choose to immigrate to a country, you should follow it's laws. It may have just been one or two Indians who did, but as ambassadors of your country, you are responsible for people's perception of you and hatred directed towards your people as a result of your actions is your responsibility, not our fault.

In India if your kid finish grade 12 and got Ilets score 4 to all way 7 then they talk to the agent who talked to the Canadian colleges ! If u can’t pay for your kids study , then you find them spouse who has money and pay for everything only on one condition, he or she can get them to Canada on open work permit ! There was lots of broken relationships because of disputes over money and getting immigration in Canada ! This going on for long time , I guess government didn’t realize that !

Immigration is not bad. It ensures security for an aging population. It is supposed to make the economy stable through taxes paid by everyone. The young pays for the retirement of the older ones. Without worker, the system dies. What every country must do is to be stringent in getting migrants. It must be treated as beneficial to both.

Why is they such a huge favour for Indian immigrants (south Asian)? How did the system come to be completely one sided?

Our healthcare system is collapsing. One step to fixing it is to get rid of those who should never have been here in the first place. That means we need to deport 100% of all immigrants from India. I used to work in a vegetable processing plant where 90% of the staff were Indians. They were rude, self entitled, and treated the rest of us like trash. I remember when one of the Punjabs threw garbage in front of me and expected me to pick it up. These people feel they own this place and the rest of us to serve them. They need to GO! And we need to stop immigrants from India from coming in.

I'm not an Indian but I'm a immigrant in Canada and yes it's true everything that you say but I just want to give one respectful advice to my friend from India. Please use deodorant and at least once a day take a shower because in the bus or at work is very hard for us from other countries and I know is not your fault but we all have to adapt in a country we arrive hope no one gets offended by this but remember that we share the air and we cannot avoid smelling other people. To be Frank no one in the world think Canadian education is better. And no Canadian institutions or government think they are providing some kind of top quality Education. It is 21st century world doesn't need a college class room to get knowledge.\n\nAll you see is just a business. Canadian population is shrinking so government have to stabilize fund flow. That is why they are approving visa in large numbers. At first they want to attract more people, now they don't want to so once done with studies probably they will run of gic and other funds literally become useless \n\n\nSo it is better to stayaway from western colleges. NO!\n\n3- Did the Canadian government provide the newly arrived immigrants with a sufficient monthly payment, including the rent of a house befitting human dignity, balanced and sufficient nutrition expenses, summer and winter clothing, daily transportation costs within the city, monthly house bills, communication and correspondence expenses, equal and sufficient education payment, cultural activities and a daily pocket money so that they can live humanely?...... NO!\n\n4- Did the Canadian government provide the newly arrived immigrants with a solid, safe and clean social structure where they can live freely without any risk to themselves and their families, where they feel completely safe and without any fear, anxiety and concern in terms of attack and crime?....... NO!\n\n5- Did the Canadian government provide the newly arrived immigrants with a democratic state and a fair social society structure where there is no racism, discrimination, inequality of opportunity, favoritism, incompetence and harassment, whether covert or overt?........ NO!\n\n6- Did the Canadian government grant any right to vote or be elected to immigrants who came to the country legally during their stay in Canada until they became citizens, did they give them the right to vote for the party or people who would govern them, did they give them the right to vote at least in local elections other than general elections? ....... NO!\n\n-So, do you think that the Canadian government, which does not fulfill any of these, is a country ready to accept immigrants? ....... OF COURSE NO!\n\nTHEN, the Canadian State and its government do not have the right to say a single word about immigrants, and the Canadian State should now prepare the trillions of dollars that the immigrants themselves will pay as a result of the compensation lawsuits they will file against all these human rights violations that the state has implemented against immigrants for years, in a planned and systematic manner, unfairly and mercilessly. The Canadian government has deliberately left the immigrants it has accepted into the country, whether they are illegal or legal, hungry, helpless, unemployed and poor, has implemented all kinds of racism, discrimination and harassment against immigrants, has torn families apart, has never allowed them to feel safe in Canada, has not taken any timely, appropriate, necessary and primary duty measures to ensure this, and has done all these within the scope of its fully conscious and previously established anti-immigrant policies and the plans and programs to which those policies belong, because otherwise it could not use and exploit immigrants to their core, in this sense, it is the Canadian State itself that is carrying out human smuggling and immigrant trafficking.

Canada's population of 40 million is not enough to drive the economy big. An MPP long time ago wanted Canada's population to be around 100 million to drive the economy. The usa to do this the time of cowboys gave free land to anyone who went west. Some immigrants due to poverty, never being able to establish themselves and racism did not even get married or only have one child contributing to Canada's declining birth rate. Canada's population that grew from 25 million to its current populatio of 2024 is due to immigration not child birth. New immigrants is what is driving Canada's economy. Who do you think is buying houses, condos, furniture, cars, etc. Many old generations Canadians of english, Scottish and irish descent don't and pass their house on to their kids if lucky.

If indians are studying and are having better life as compared to so called Canadian born citizens then they should learn from indians that how to do hard work ? not the hard drugs. When they didn’t have much labour force to work they welcomed immigrants and now when they have came legally with visas they are seeing us as problems maybe vote for the people who actually represents you guys in parliament ?ok and just one more thing don’t just do drugs do some job at tim hortons maybe then you will get to live in a basement because you will not vote for those who want to build more homes ?

Notice how all the Junkies, homeless and vagrants are all White Canadians ? \nWhile only one French immigrant who looks like she actually naturalised wants to shut down immigration because the new immigrants dont look like her. ?

I would respectfully point out that in my opinion the problem is that too many immigrants from one particular culture (in this case, Indians, but it's also the Chinese,) have been allowed in to settle almost entirely in one particular area of a city. In Ontario it's Brampton. In B.C. (where I live) it's Surrey. This stretches Canada's resources, having classrooms almost full of Indian kids who are learning English as a second language. For years we've had to put up with young Indian males street racing in their expensive cars on our cities late at night... to their mothers they are 'princes,' and they act like it and believe they can do exactly as they like. Then there's the issue of how many of their extended family members are also allowed in - resulting in way too many elderly Indians who don't speak a word of English and probably never will, so we have to provide translation services for them in our hospitals and govt. offices. The other issue I have a problem with is there's a tendency with Indians to 'skirt the rules.' There have been a few significant accidents on our highways caused by young Indian male drivers operating huge rigs which they are ill-equipped to drive, which seems to indicate they got their licences fraudulently. There's also been an increase in so-called 'honour killings' (e.g. MURDER!) as well as young girls being subjected to FGM (Female Genital Mutilation.) As an immigrant myself, born and raised in the UK, I'm used to living among Indians, and in fact have always really liked them (and especially their food, which definitely improved the British restaurant scene!) but it's time to limit the numbers. In the USA we are a magnet for illegal immigrants. They are from countries suffering global warming, political unrest or gang violence. Living in Palm Springs, California, no one works jarder than these illegals. Come see the agriculture fields and see who works there? They feed us. Be grateful!

I think canada should balance immigration ethnicities period. Too much of one nation is a risk of cutute compromise

As a white Brazilian, I would say my experience was quite good (I've returned home less than 1 month ago). \n\nApart of some obvious jokes about the 7-1, I've never faced anyone who made me feel unwelcome or undesired, quite the opposite in many situations. Being of German descent certainly made things better. Other white Brazilians I've met told me they had similar experiences.\n\nUnfortunately, immigrants from other Global South countries and non-white Brazilians probably have very different experiences, for the worse. I've heard many unpleasant comments from my German friends and colleagues regarding turks, Arabs, africans and other immigrants from the South of the world. It's certainly a problem for many skilled workers who are not white and could contribute for the country, but they can't thanks to racism.\n\nIn my view, apart of racism, another great problem in Germany when it comes to foreign skilled workers is the lack of digitalization in the country and the bad Internet. Many jobs require good internet connection and digitalization, which are not always provided by the Germans , unlike virtually all the other European countries including much poorer ones. \n\nHaving said that, Germany has many good-hearted, kind and welcoming people (except the racists, of course), and a fantastic culture.
