While y’all are complaining about them coming in to the United States, I imagine none of you remember the history lessons of this country and how the government killed many Native American and stripped them of their land. Folks, I need to educate many for a second. When you immigrate to this country you DO NOT become a citizen when you get legal clearance. You can become a permanent resident at best which means you can live, work and do most other things here legally. You DO NOT get to vote or work in government agencies as a lawful permanent resident. To become a citizen you have to wait a minimum of 3 years, or more depending on your permanent resident status, to then apply for citizenship. You then apply for the citizenship application and if accepted the process requires you to take a test and go through a series of questions about U.S. history and government knowledge in an interview that you need to pass, before you are awarded citizenship. Through this process you are SUPPOSED to be committing yourself to the United States of America as someone who denounces your allegiance to your old country and is now pledging your allegiance to the U.S. This is now your home country and you treat it as such. You are now an AMERICAN, not a whatever from wherever that just lives in America. It should be a big deal and one to be proud of. I know people that have been here for 25 years as a permanent resident and they still have no desire to become a citizen. They have lived off of this country, raised families in this country, worked and benefitted from this country and still align with their old country and are completely amiss to what it means to become a U.S. citizen. There is a reason that only citizens are allowed to vote! Because you should have an allegiance to America and should vote accordingly and not be allowed to work in our governmental agencies for the same reason. Legal status and citizenship are NOT the same.

Instead they have continued in their illegal surveillance and terrorist attacks they are carrying out on me which makes me believe I’m being racially targeted and the ongoing attacks on me are malicious and racially motivated for no other reason than I’m black and African.

We had a President that was against this, that wanted a wall. Now, we’re giving free housing, food, phones, healthcare, paid job training and even higher education, and the list goes on! The issue is everyone thinks/ assumes it should be easy to gain US citizenship when in reality most countries require certain capital/ cash investments to gain citizenship…why should the United States be any different especially since a U.S. citizenship is one of the most valuable citizenship’s in the world?

This is causing bad to those who are already here and are trying to do everything according to the law and yet we have no support in getting atleast a work permit. Unfortunately people are blind and selfish and only care about themselves, I get it that they live in poverty because so did we. And my beautiful mother suffered so much. But atleast wait until the US can do something about those who are already in weather it’s helping them or not. There’s so much problems happening right now in the United States such as mass shootings. Let the authorities, government officials , etc try to clean up the United States from how bad it’s getting before raiding the border and causing a burden and headache to those who are in office trying to come up with solutions to this madness.

As the world demand increases for rare earth metals, copper, aluminium, steel, nickel, etc Canada is well-positioned to supply world markets. Canadian mining companies operate worldwide and the Canadian miners are both very experienced and good operators. \n You failed to acknowledge that Canada is a major agricultural producer country. In fact, Canada is a bread basket country that exports a lot of agricultural products, meat, and a large fishery industry.\n The article also fails to acknowledge Canada has a very well-developed social safety net system that is superior to many countries.

As a Canadian myself living in this country for over 30 years... the problem here is that Canada have a diversed industry but because the country itself is so small (population wise) that none of these industries reached economies of scale. While Canada has regions rich with natural resources, all they do is extracted it, sell it to U.S. and then buy the producted that was produced by these raw materials back at a higher cost. The political structure of Canada doesn't help either: Each region essencially specialized in a few industries (Alberta Oil, Ontario Finance, the Alantic provice's fisheries and oil refineries) and there's equalization payment... meaning if one province is doing well... they don't get to reinvest it back into its infrastructure but rather have to spread some of the excess revenue to other failing provinces... this doesn't incentized productivity but rather leads to a race to the bottom where provinces would want to spend their way to get some of that equalization payment money. Also the provinces themselves doesn't have a unifying economic agenda... Alberta's oil could be best served to be refined out east and then shipped but British Columbia doesn't want pipelines and oil shipping facilities on their coastline... and Quebec isn't interested in having a pipeline either so there's nowhere by the oil but to go down to the states. Finally the province of Quebec( which is french speaking and have their own culture and language) isn't interested in the overall prosperity of Canada at all but rather to extract as much special privilages, rights, and money from the Federal government... and even to declare independance from the Rest of Canada.

My sister is a surgeon and she took all that talent to the United States. The pay is so much better how can one refuse. Especially when you live in a very nice and safe area.

Canada is basically another state of US at this point. Canada has independent domestic policies just like any US state but foregin policis are Washington lead. Canada has great educational instuation just like many other US state but ultimately, the graduates leave for better states in the US to get better pay. Almost all export of Canada is to US and almost all import are from same US suppliers from Asia. Some will say Canada is very different from US in the way people act and live their life. That is true but even inside US, California is very different from Texas and New York is very different from Iowa. Just goes to show different states have different lifestyle but are still part of the same country.\nThis is not a bad thing, in fact Canada is lucky to have access to the biggest market of the world. Being under US security umberlla means no one will attack you. Canada's government know this so they made policies that lead to integration with US economical and defence system.

I’m happy I watched this because I have been wondering about this depression wave that is in this country if I was the only one feeling it. All these points are valid. Don’t get me wrong canada is a beautiful place and give you access to learning and living with many different cultures which one of the things I love. But all these points these ladies stated just prove that I wasn’t just overthinking. Sometimes this place feels like an open prison tbh, specially Quebec which is the highest taxed province. It’s literally a life of work, pay your bills, feed yourself and work again. 2weeks vacation in a year of work, with 8 off days a month, isn’t enough for the brain and well being of someone. One find themselves doing everything under pressure because of the trauma that many jobs have created. People will walk under a storm, rain, thunder, you name it! just so they can earn that 130 a day.(using the minimum wage,). The gouvernement does it best to put all these programs in place, but no one want to always feel like your life is being controlled because you need a 1000$ check every month. People get tired of this dependency as well. The whole is thing is just depressing ?

It's too many people coming into the United States. Highly overcrowded. The US needs to start taking care of their own citizens first. There's homeless Americans right here that are citizens, there are hungry people right here in the US that are American citizens. They need to start helping their own first. These Americans should not be without anything. And then United States is quick to help other states before they help they own. It's really a shame. And half the people that come here from other countries don't even like Americans. There shouldn't be not one homeless American citizen in America. The country has billions and billions of dollars and they should be able to house their own citizens.

If the United States actually jumped in for the people of Mexico, their hearts may be swayed and they won't be allies with Russia. Really there’s no difference between the people. The people are all the same whether you’re from Canada or the United States. All of your ancestors came from Europe. This is one of the few immigrants I have a compassion for. I see Jose is working in the construction field on top of a roof in the middle of the winter I have kids I don’t even wanna work and they have the ability to work there. Just lazy. Well when you have tons of churches and downtown LA homeless shelters that give away free food, free clothes, free shoes ?, free blankets and tents free showers free beds GR , welfare, disability SSI and housing. California gives relief to other countries in an emergency they participate in funding and starting war. The United States has become one big embarrassment filled with nothing homeless people, mentally ill people, and soon newly-released convicts to your area walking around. Building tents and tiny homes defecating in the streets walking around naked. Filling the subways transient sleeping all over using drugs performing sexual favors on each other.\nNow the police are relinquishing their authority and giving it to nonprofit organizations or barely qualified in the field to handle such situations.\nThere is such a thing as compassion but you can also enable a person and encourage bad behavior.

This is deplorable and it’s going to destroy our country in so many ways. First, our social, educational, and criminal systems cannot absorb this many people all at once. We have enough people immigrating here legally. We don’t need all these illegals flooding over.\nThis is all Joe Biden and the Democrats’ fault, for not doing anything for two-plus years, except inviting these people to come here. These people get benefits, free healthcare, welfare probably, phones, and they shouldn’t. They should be told to go home. They should not be given a court date and then released into the United States! That’s ridiculous. They should be loaded on a C-130 transport, retrofitted with seats and shipped home. The majority of them are not going to show up for their court date. They’re going to disappear into the United States, work under the table, take jobs away from Americans, and send billions of more dollars back to their home country where they have family. I think currently, $250 billion gets sucked out of the US economy every year, due to illegal immigrants all sending $50 each, per month, home to their families in their native country. That money should be being spent here.\nLastly, all these illegals and the “anchor babies” they are going to have here, and the descendants of those babies, are all going to vote Democrat in the future, because of this lawlessness. Then we’ll have one-party rule in this country. That will destroy the country. It’ll be a socialist dictatorship, which is not good. The worst part is, many of these women coming across, are going to have a baby within a year. That baby, who by law is automatically a US citizen, becomes their key to citizenship, because once that baby turns 18, he or she can sponsor his parents to become citizens and also sponsor other family members. The United States is starting to get over populated cause a lot of people are coming from other countries. Instead of coming to USA focus on your country work on it instead of running away from it. And tbh it’s not fair that most of the immigrants like the women especially they apparently come here to work but yet get more help than the ones who was born here by getting EBT getting pregnant over And over again. Exactly the same thing here in England.. but we have so many snow flakes over here that want to keep letting thousands in.. then complain that half the countries on benefits, the NHS is stretched beyond belief and housing is running out fast.. there has to be a time when we simply say no sorry. And as stated below running from one country to another is not the answer, these people need to talk to their elected leaders and sort out their own countries so they are worth living in… plus I could not rock up to americas borders or any other country around the world and demand to be let in, but not only let in then taken care of financially and housed! This is nothing short of an INVASION AT OUR BORDERS!! I can guarantee you that if we had responsible voting laws in this country just as simple as having an ID and proving American Citizenship, we wouldn’t be having this problem. Democrats don’t want those laws, and Democrats DONT WANT TO STOP what’s going on at the border, bcuz these are votes for them. The most utterly ridiculous myth about voter ID laws is that they’re racist due to low income families not being able to afford them. ANYONE with common sense knows that BULL$Hit, bcuz literally every state in the US has programs that’ll provide FREE IDs and help to get there.
