Ontario cut social policies to convert them into welfare for the massive influx of immigrants they received from Syria and Afghanistan starting in 2014, I was there and saw the change Toronto went through from 2013 to 2018 with thousands of people from abroad that received hefty benefits while not able to work, integrate, contribute to society, but were major PR scores for politicians and their campaigns. Aside from that, the cost of rent and food skyrocketed without any control and I've seen unjustified markups at Nofrills in just a year, let alone ordering some below-mediocre pizza for $25 or getting a hamburger meal for $15, and these were 2018 prices.

Couple is honest and hard working, no question about it. Canada is not land of opportunities anymore, as it claims to be. If you are here for like 15-20 + years, then things might be different for you. Trudeau has pretty much open the borders for like anyone, I do understand that without immigration Canada cannot survive economically, but we need to beef up the immigration process. Australia is like middle of no where, but cost of living is not as high as Canada, and wages are higher. I need to understand the salary of Sr Manager and executives in Australia, that would explain the difference between both countries.

Back about 15 years ago I was down in Indiana on Ohio. In the people I met in the Midwest states. Great people laid back hard workers. America might have its problems, but so does Canada. Lot of similarities between both countries. And as for Canada's free health care. It's not so good right now. People are having hard time finding doctors. People wait hours to get into appointments. The only thing nice about free healthcare. Is it's free for some people and relatively affordable for other people. But it's not the best healthcare in the world. Like people said, least in America, you can go in and see a doctor and you're in and out pretty quick. But if you don't have free health care yet pay for it

Did it as a 5 year project and only made it for 15 months. Needed an expensive 100k procedure. Decision to move back to Canada was a no brainer, waited 3 months to get back on healthcare role and had a successful procedure and didn't have to mortgage the house or cash in RRSP's. Having said all of that many Americans work extremely hard and are driven to get ahead.

3:15 - hey dude, that first guy with “missing the social safety net\n4:15 - along the same lines as the previous, health-care ??‍♂️ It’s a huge one! Your insurance costs are absolutely insane, the whole system is corrupt. It sadly drives up the costs exponentially for everyone, especially us Canadians who have to import from US them $12000 (yes 12K) US custom manual wheelchairs ? or 900$ wheelchair cushions, 800$ rigid carbon back, or 900 feeding tubes (that’s not even accounting for bags, syringes, adapters, sterile stuff galore). Err, you get my drift! ? That’s like a several 100s of % mark-up, costs are insanely inflated just because they’re considered medical devices, and regulated by FDA and Health ?? intensely (makes importing some brands is a nightmare, I mean fun time). There are workarounds and exchange groups, so you never know.

Interesring that you say co-pay for a doctors visit is $50 to $100, in Canada we of course pay nothing but the doctors are paid by the Medical Services Plan of each Province the average across the country is $30 per 15 min visit. In British Columbia where I live it's $43.50.

I my area of Canada the average weight time for the er is 4 to 12 hours! I can't imagine being seen in 15 minutes!
2023-10-14 0
It was good 15 years back. Now all messed up here in Canada, Most of the colleges surviving on international students and offer very basic courses which you can do in India in 3 months and get a certificate.

My eyes just about shot out of my head when he said he could be seen by a doctor in an emergency room in 10-15 minutes. Only way that's happening in Canada is if there's a chance you'll be dead within 15 minutes. \n\nSitting in a waiting room for 12+ hours with broken bones is no fun, but think of all the hours of overtime I'd need to put in to pay for an American visit sounds pretty awful too
2023-10-13 0
10 or 15 minuets wait time in Emergency in the US. More like 10 to 15 hours here in Canada. Saying that I still would rather have our system because after you see the doctor you won't be in debt.
2023-10-13 0
@11:45... “10 or 15 minutes”... MINUTES??!??!! GEEZUSS! My coworker went to emergency about a week ago… Had some stomach issues… Thankfully all is good now… But he waited there for… Wait for it… Wait for it… Yes, 22 hours!! WTF. This is in Ottawa.

My Canadian brother and his wife left Canada and moved to the U.S. when they were in their early 40's. They prospered and grew their careers for 15 years before deciding to return to Canada. In Canada they would have been considered politically Conservative and religiously as far-right Evangelical Christians, but they found their American neighbors to be off the charts in both categories. They remained in Canada for only 3 years before packing; up and moving back to the U.S. Their main reason was monetary. My brother's wife, who is a doctor, paid $27 thousand dollars less, per year in income tax in the U.S.A. Their 6,000 square foot luxury home in the U.S. cost them about $700K dollars and the equivalent in Canada was $2.4 Million dollars. Since his wife is a doctor, the U.S. healthcare system was not an issue for them, because as a doctor, she had the ultimate American healthcare insurance paid by her employer. They admitted that they had healthcare that was superior to that held by 98% of other Americans. I suspect they will remain in the U.S. for the future. Over the years they have adopted the unique American language and accent, so they now live unnoticed and unrecognizable as Canadians. lol

Yes Canada is better for care but at my hospital you can wait 12 to 15 hour on the emergency waiting room. Montreal same, Québec same. Thats why you are call a patient, because you need it to wait.

27:15 Harman Singh damaged his car and then put red colour on his car. Police later on found out that he closed all the cameras during that incident but he was captured in his neighbour’s camera. \nNow you have to understand that these type of people only need attention and some views on tik tok.

Isme ek baat h bhai , vo jo kanishk ki reports h , about those leaks that indian government was involved in that bomb blast ? Don’t it sounds its fishy like jin logon ne bomb implanted kia vo aj tak nahi mil paye but jo indian government k target the jaise k head of babar khalsa unke naam par lag gaya sab kuch ye …. Agar itne e high inputs the toh vo do bandon ka aj tak kyn ni pata chal paya , sirf unka naam e kyn pat chala paya jo highlighted names the …… another thing khalistan from last few years ye baat bhot jada highlighted ki ja rahi h … k jo bhi sikh apne rights ki baat karta h vo khalistani h …. Why ….? Aaap uspar bhi video banai kaise 100s of sikhs abhi bhi jailon me band h unki saza poori hone k baad bhi …. Kaise ye punjab se related choti choti baat ko itna jada bana dete … yeh jo chote influencers h vo kaise nafrati videos banate h … they never talked about manipur bhai agar non solhs ki taraf se hume target kia jata h …. That’s the another reason we feel violated , aj se 15 saal pehle ye moments kuch jada bari nahi thi lekin yr 5-6 saalon me itni kyn highlighted kardi gai ….

In my opinion Toronto and Canada has changed for worst and is loosing its so precious identity. The last 15-20 years our leaders have been protecting the speculators, importing indiscriminate cheap labor (who can leave in Canada with $15/h?), down graded the education and social system. All in name of a false justification of multicultural philosophy. I have seen similar situation progressing like that in other parts of the world and unfortunately there will no point of return. Look at Los Angeles and you will see Toronto's future. I feel sorry for Canada that I love and for our brothers that built this country.

I currently reside in the USA, and I can confidently say that moving here has been the best decision I ever made. I managed to achieve in less than 5 years what might have taken me 15 years in Kenya. My perspective on living outside of Kenya has shifted significantly, and I believe it's time for us Africans to reconsider our perceptions. \n \nIt's worth noting that the requirements for moving to different countries can vary significantly. For instance, a Canadian government website has explicitly stated that you typically need to be a professional in your career to work in Canada, or else it might prove to be quite challenging. \n \nBefore you decide to make such a move, I strongly recommend conducting thorough research and understanding the specific requirements and opportunities in your chosen destination. Moving abroad is a significant step, and it's important to be well-prepared for the journey ahead.

I have lived in canada for 15 good years, this country is just a trap.
2023-10-02 0
It's sad seeing people falling for this trap, I lived their for 15 years and you can never pay me to go back even to visit and sometime I wish i can afford to export people to canada so i can have kenya for me and the patriotic brothers and sisters. Kenyans have became lazy and always looking for easy things.

I’m Canadian living , for 15 years living here I would like to say Canada is a wonderful place. Many opportunities if peoples acknowledge the requirements. Foreign education is not expected here they have to upgrade and get Canadian education before any thing starts.

I moved to Canada from Singapore 15 years ago. Things were really good in the first 5 years. Then, it started going downhill. The past 2 years have really made me question wtf is going on here. I love canada so much. It saddens me to see how far we have allowed the country to go.
2023-10-01 0
I came to Canada fifty years ago,at that time you had to comply with the immigration laws ,you definitely had to qualify, and had to speak English or French .\nIn the last 10 or 15 years the government open the doors wide open to two class of immigrants, the very wealthy from around the world and the desperate , very poor from around the world .\nThe result ; the wealthy investing in real state and becoming wealthier and the uneducated migrants struggling.\nThank the liberals for this .

I am a male Black Canadian in my retirement years ; I can tell you this Nigerian lady is really courageous . NEVER come to Canada during the winter season, try to be at the beginning of Spring ( May 15-30).\nIf you are a married couple in your early twenties without kids, Canada can be interesting providing that both of the two are earning good income ( pharmacist, university graduate in Accounting, engineer).

Came into Canada at 15 alone in 2005. No English, no connections. In 2020 we IPO the company I co-founded.

In this era of globalization, being a professional in Canada can lead to a worry-free life, while those starting from a basic position may need to work diligently for 15-20 years to enjoy a luxurious lifestyle and secure a bright future for their children. On average, Canadian families earn between 70,000 to 80,000 dollars, whereas Indian immigrants often double that income.

He’s right! Better stay here in Ghana where you work 7 days a week, 14 h a day and get paid around 60$ a month! On top of this great salary you get no healthcare and no proper education, not to mention our useless roads, full of potholes and constant power-cuts not to mention the worthless local currency that loses value every year. We are truly blessed here! He should go back then and enjoy all this, perhaps he hasn’t been back for a while and seen how bad it has become the past 15 years

I left Canada 15 years ago, initially with the perception that Canada by and large did everything better than everywhere else. I found our quickly that this was absolutely not the case, with Canada’s shortcomings being easily apparent. As I visited “home” every year the downhill trajectory was more and more apparent, to the point where I would have no desire to go back if not to visit family. Canadian health care is mediocre, transit is inefficient, culture and quality of life are virtually non-existent. Get out while you can people, there is nothing in Canada that you can’t find better elsewhere.
