Someone should let them know that so called better life is not waiting for them in Canada at least. We have plenty of our own political tensions, we're taxed to death, probably have the worst health care system in the world, extremely high cost of living, everything is expensive, the only jobs available are part time, crappy overpriced food, a housing crisis and brutal winters every single year.. Nothing but pissed off, miserable people here. Many Canadians I know have moved to India and love it. As a Canadian born Indian since 1995 this country has obviously let in too many immigrants since 2020 and Trudunce got into power, I dislike them just as much as the rest of us we are born here speak better English and have more cultural connection to Canadian values then any immigrant no matter the country they come from. and we are having our image distorted by their ignorant behavior when we have nothing in common with these immigrants either.

I have ethnic background from Hong Kong and have been living in Canada for almost 40 years. I love Canada and am proud of this beautiful country. However, I think part of the immigration problem we have is the ongoing issue of allowing dual citizenship of everyone who have become a Canadian citizen. I have personally known lots of HK immigrants who would return to their own countries to work as soon as they have got their Canadian passports. Normally one of the parents would stay with their children here for free schooling, medical care and child tax benefits. Their children will follow their parents to go back to HK after they graduated from universities in order to avoid the higher income tax . Unfortunately, those parents will come back to retire in Canada so that they can get free health care benefits and OAS once they have fulfilled the residency requirement of 10 years. Canada do need more skilled and educated immigrants to make our country more prosperous but not those who try to take advantage of our lenient immigration policies. I think we should take back the passports of those who have left Canada for more than 2 years or those who have evaded taxes so that we do not continue to support those never contributed to our country. PS, I mentioned about HK only because of my origin and I believe the same problem would be caused by immigrants from other countries too.

Their culture values education so many of them already come to Canada with a high level of education and they are getting degrees in order to work in Canada. Another difference is that family and kinship is valued so Indians work together to build themselves up. They may have to live in crowded housing but they r working to save to be able to buy their own homes. The problem with White people is they don’t have family unity, they view having children and inconvenience. They don’t realize that those children will become their safety net as they get older. Family helps each other out, those Indians would do anything to keep a family member from living in the streets. This would put their family in shame in their community. Canadians have something to learn from the Indians. By the way their religion disapproves of alcohol & drugs so they don’t have that problem. If a fourth generation canadian cannot get a job, then why should another country come here. We are trying to get our education system to improve and we cannot do that if there are so many people who have a better education from another country. we cannot afford to do this. How exactly do you expect me to fit in? I've spoken English and lived here since the age of 2. I celebrate Halloween and Christmas but not Pride Month, and I don’t eat Canadian food regularly. If fitting in means doing all those things, then I have questions. The migrants will find a way into Canada because of the government's weak leadership. I was born and raised in Montréal, Québec, and I am still living there. I work as an employment counselor and many asylum seekers (from Haiti, Guinea, Nigeria, Ghana, Algeria, Morocco, Burkina Faso, Senegal, etc.) come to my office (on average 15 per week). Between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024, approximately 300 asylum seekers came to my workplace. An overwhelming majority of them are receiving welfare and living in hotels, at tax payers expense, while homelessness remains an issue in the city. Canadians should be taken care of first!

Canadian Citizenship is handed out far too freely . If they want to come to Canada , welcome , BUT it should take 8 years to qualify to EARN Citizenship . Merit Points Earned , be taking after hour studies in Canadian History , Politics , and learning either or both of the founding languages French or English . Yes the woke media thinks that Canadians should assimilate to the immigrants coming here but they don’t think the immigrants should assimilate to Canada. That won’t end well for Canada. If you moved to a different to a country you would be expected to assimilate to their culture and values, and you would out of respect. Canadians should expect the same level of respect. This is my first time watching your content. It saddens me that you've come to feel as you do. I'm 72 YO and had the good fortune to be born among people who had survived a world war. They knew bullshit when they heard it. I served in the Canadian Army 1968-74. Like you, I've been a lot of places, and seen a lot of things. I do casual work at McMaster and interact with a lot of people. It feels like somebody else's country. Everyone seems so ignorant of our history. Worse, my Jewish friends no longer feel safe here. The Canada that I served so proudly as a soldier no longer exists. We could liquidate and leave, but these colours don't run.

Come to Surrey BC! I've lived here all my life, and live about 7km's from the house I was brought home as a baby, so I've never left this city, and I, like that gentleman and lady you talked to, often feel like I am the only Caucasian in Surrey! Go by any elementary school, and you'd find it difficult to see any hair colour than straight black! Like when I went to school, so many now are driven to school by parents or grandparents that where brought over to Canada as well, so traffic around schools very often is chaotic at best! The once peaceful sound of birds singing, is now taken up with sirens, from ambulance and fire trucks, it's hideous! I too would love to move, but we keep asking, 'where'...as we'd like to be in an area with just caucasians, to feel 'at home' again! It's not that I don't like the people, but most in Surrey, are much more well off than the average Canadian, driving high end cars, and even their teenage kids have high end vehicles. So, like many Canadians, I'd just like to see normalcy & common sense once again, and a complete end to immigration, until ALL of our crisis's are taken care of!

Since the Canadian government thinks we Canadians born in Canada are all criminals, without a trial in a court of law to determine this, the Canadian government wants to replace us all with brown immigrants mostly from Iran. I guess the crime rate in Iran must be the lowest in the world. That's why most of the immigrants coming into Canada are Iranian.
