The relationship between Canada and the US is because of Trudeau. He isn’t getting his way so he is making a huge mistake with his disrespect toward our Great President Trump. I am a French Canadian. I did not hear it From Trudeau in English but I heard it in French, the real reason of the economic war is annexation. Fentanyl, immigration was just a Casus Belli. I grew up hearing lots of hate bout USA cuz the US doesn't exactly have a good rep in foreign policies - always bullying other nations, starting wars for oil etc. but I've always preferred USA not just for the world order it brings, it allows different voices, criticism & scolding towards its leaders compared to China, Russia & North Korea. \n\nin the US, you can talk bad bout politicians in power, or probably make movies bout these kind of things like US invading other countries for oil, or testing out some cruel AI military robots on humans (movie name: Monsters of Man), & you won't be persecuted. but after looking at a bunch of executive orders Trump has signed, the way he (& JD Vance) treated Zelenski & Canada, I don't know if I still feel the same bout USA anymore.\n\nif USA doesn't wanna continue spending on Ukraine, perhaps USA shouldn't have sweet talked Ukraine into denuclearization thru the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. that's what you get for mendling with other countries' affairs. by stopping US aid & wanting a new mineral deal, Trump's refusing to follow the Memorandum (I added this sentence thru edit as I can't reply to the comment below).\n\nunderstandably, US & UK don't need to deploy troops in Ukraine as the security assurance in the memorandum wasn't clearly defined, but it also didn't mention that Ukraine should pay the US back financially, nor any mineral concessions. \n\nTrump always wanting a purely 1 sided deal will only isolate USA from more allies.

To MAGA Canada is Woke Commie Central, not a friend and ally. It's been made clear enough; they prefer Putin and the German AFD to the likes of us or their European allies.

@robertedward7023 It can but I think Trump is right on this one. Zelensky needs to realize that he won't get his land back that Russia took, and that negotiating is the only way to come to peace now. He's living in a fairytale world fighting an unwinnable war. I think the US is right to pull the plug on financial aid to try to pressure Zelensky to negotiate to end the war. Unfortunately, to end the war Ukraine will likely have to concede the land they lost. But the reality is Putin will never give that land back. But it's better than more people dying everyday. Zelensky has gotten all too comfortable relying on financial aid and as a result he hasn't been willing to try anything new (like negotiate) to get this war finished. If we keep sending him money, nothing will change. Now he has pressure to negotiate. the US and Canada can't keep sending money to Ukraine for the next 20 years while this war carries on.

As a 60 years old french Canadian I have all the reason to not love Trudeau, because he remind me how his father treated us, never vote for him, but today I saw a men (finally) standing up and take the lead for our country. Yes Canada is still my country and I like the way he directly adress to your president. I have so many American friends on both side( D and R ) and I hope they understand that what he said is not directly apply to United State citizen, wake up America before it s to late.

While I acknowledge that the way Trump and Vance addressed Zelensky could have been more diplomatic, as an American , I cannot justify allocating $360 billion of our tax funds towards resolving another counties war—especially when only half of that amount has been accounted for, and the other half remains untracked. Let that point sink in! The US is currently in $33 Trillion dolars in debt yet giving away money like candy . No other country is contributing money like we are . We simply do not have the resources to continue doing that . Our financial situation is worsening as we print more money to allocate toward other countries. Furthermore, 7% of the $33 trillion of the US debt is owed by other countries , including China . Our funds need to be utilized for our own benefit before being given away. We have veterans on the streets, the elderly suffering because SS isn't covering their basic needs , school system thatvis failing , health insurance unaffordable by most. We need to fix our own issues. We need to feed our own kids before we feed the neighbors, not the other way around.

What I don't like is the millionaires that move our jobs out of our country to benefit themselves. My father lost a good manufacturing job because labor was cheaper in some other county. Now look at Boeing. Somehow we need someone that is looking out for US! Trying to bring jobs and industry back to the USA. Trudeau is a terrible leader and I'm happy to see him squirm.
