It's obvious that you have never lived outside of Canada. Canada is probably one of the last countries in the world that accepts people for who they are and has a decent level of respect for belief systems. I get that you want to raise your children in a better environment, but trust me when I tell you this... you are walking into a world of disappointment. Canada itself is about 15 years behind other countries when it comes to this downwards spiral you are speaking of. Sadly, you will find out soon enough that this utopia you want to find, simply doesn't exist and you will discover you have left the variable comforts and safety of Canada behind. I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but am simply sharing what I discovered when I searched for the same things. I think L. Frank Baum said it best.... if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. If you are lucky in life you will discover that the world doesn't stop turning for you, and that the world that you dream of for your children must be created from within. That being said, it is good to travel and trying different ways of living is a wonderful education for your children. Just remember to shield your hearts and stay positive if things don't turn out the way that you hope they will. Best of luck and stay safe.

This is a very thoughtful and balanced review. As a retired Canadian who had a good job for most of my life, I'm saddened by the decline in almost all areas of life, lifestyle and and people's aspirations in this country. This decline actually seems quite rapid, I would say from 2015 onwards. Housing in major centres was expensive, but it has skyrocketed in the past decade. There has been a decline in many institutions: 1. health-care, especially noticeable since the pandemic that coincided with many boomer medical staff retiring, but also by our sclerotic institutions refusing to enable foreign-trained doctors to work here. Many foreign-trained doctors in the Vancouver area are doing jobs way below their qualifications while many people cannot even get a family doctor. Crazy. Econonically, there seems to have been no plan at all from the government as we exited the pandemic. At least the US had a plan, to 'build back better'. Our government just floats along as if everything is fine, when the decline is very visible especially to older Canadians. We have admitted 1/2 a million people a year from overseas, so our economy should reflect this and show an upswing. But no, we're in a 'technical recession' as of December and probably a real recession as of last week. I have never voted Conservative in my life, but Trudeau is a flaky dimwit with a famous name who has no clue what he is doing. A fool, in fact. He's mismanaged our foreign relations beyond belief, and nothing has improved domestically. When Pierre Poilievre says 'Canada is broken', I believe it. We deserve much better leadership; in Canada's case, the rot does come from the top. Justin the entitled idiot is much more like his mother than his father.\n\nLong rant. I lived in Toronto with my wife between Oct. 2021 and Oct. 2023. Despite earning six figures as a software developer plus my wife earning more or less the minimum wage and despite being very lucky to have a ridiculously low (for Toronto) rent of $1350 for a 2-bedroom apartment we decided to move back to Poland. We wanted to stay in Canada for longer, but with everything around being so expensive we weren't able to get a similar standard of living that we can easily afford in Europe. The fact that we didn't feel particularly safe in the city didn't help.

So leave!!! Why bother to make a 20--minute video to explain why?? To make one last-ditch effort to get some money in Canada before you leave?? Immigrants with cash that scoop up entire rows of properties are the reason why real estate properties are no longer affordable to even ordinary citizens. And you are the one complaining?? Canada bends over backwards catering to new immigrants, giving away free welcome packages of essential items, providing free language lessons (when you are supposed to be fluent in at least one official language of Canada when immigrating), giving you instant permanent residency upon arrival allowing you to enjoy free universal healthcare and free primary and secondary school education for the children, allowing you to be eligible for Canadian citizenship after just 5 years of residing in Canada only requiring you to stay 6 months of a year in Canada. After all that Canada has done to help you, you still don't want to stay?? Then leave!! On your way out, try to ask people who try to immigrate to China how their experience is like. Ask them how long they need to stay in China to even get permanent residency and how much they have to pay to send their children to school in China. Jesus! Goodbye!!

Stayed in toronto from 2013 to 2020 for uni and work and left during the pandemic to the outskirts, A couple weeks ago I went to toronto and didn't want to come back. ITS A SHIT HOLE

They may not want to leave for good but dont you think they want to leave right now? Giving them a safe place to stay while the War is happening isnt the same as relocation. You just dont want to take them in simple.

Nah… they have never wanted them. Thats why the Palestinians have been there in the first place. Way to make it everyone else’s problem… Literally no one wants the Palestinians because they are demanding and not easy to deal with. The Arab countries refused them entry many times in the past as well, including when Israel took hold of the area legally. If the Palestinians stay, they have to learn how to be okay living in a Jewish state, and they have so far proven they cannot figure out how to do that. They certainly should leave if that is the case to make their lives easier, but answers like this just keep pushing the problem back on the Jews. Then you have to be okay with the only options the Jews are left with to ensure their own people are safe.

I think that a lot of people who seem to hate Canada in this comment section are either from Toronto and Vancouver, the two most expensive cities in the country, but these two cities don't represent Canada as a whole. \n\nPersonally I live in a smaller city in Québec (Saguenay) and life quality is super good, there are a lot of job opportunities and housing is very cheap, and it is an amazing place for outdoor lovers\n\nI saw many comments saying that the US is cheaper than Canada... Those people simply don't compare what's comparable. If you compare Toronto with comparable cities in the US like New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, Toronto is in fact MUCH cheaper. If I compare my city with comparable cities in the US, well it turns out that Saguenay is much cheaper\n\nSo before wanting to move to another country, you can simply think about moving within Canada. If however you hate winter, then there's no reason to stay here ?

In 1993, I received a phone call from Canada, I was headhunted & offered a 2-year work contract. Within months, I moved from Singapore to Banff, Alberta. When my contract came-up for renewal in 1995, they wanted to extend my employment but they couldn't confirm the projected remuneration I would be receiving as the institution was undergoing restructuring, so I left. I stayed on in Canada for a couple more.months to enquire on job opportunities. I quickly realised that many in my profession had quit for better salaries in other fields or that they hopped from city to city for work. thus I decided that it would be best for me to return to my home country, Singapore after all.

i am from ameirca moved to egypt lived there off and on for 10 years last time was 5 years to sum it up it not worth it........ the culture in egypt is very harsh and unislamic. the athan has been lowered so you can barely hear it unless you are living right next to the masjid. your Eids and jumuahs are Gov. controlled meaning jumuah is precisely 25 mins no more than that, you stay longer in the masjid because you want to have time alone you will be scorned and be seen as a terrorist. the cleaners may even tell you to get out as well.\n your daughters will be told that the hijab is not compulsory and how dare you wear niqab in university. you will never be treated as equals even if you have Egyptian parents but were raised abroad. The economic situtation is in shambles, dont exspect safe places for your children play or just be, pedos are rampant ( I know cause i put one in prison) you want to go the beach? lol half them dont accept women in islamic swimsuits ( or anything remotley resembling it) it is a bikini only beach the other half are dirty and a down right hazard.\nthere is more i can write but my sincere advice to anyone is to visit a place abroad thats great, but living is a different ball game i wasted 10 years of my life searching for a life that didnt exist and i wouldnt want that for anyone else. change your life where you are, and make your utopia where you are.

Sadly city is declining. This is mainly due though to the poor federal government that wants to destroy Canadian society in its quest to stay in power. No thoughts on how to sustainably grow a country foster growth and development of the economy. Providing needed housing development and health care to match population growth. The chasing of woke attitudes obstructing the development of resource industries that could provide much economic wealth has led to destruction of our once great country and making us an international joke. You can have the choice because you have the Canadian Passport so you can move on and settle mostly where ever you can. Depending on your income off course. I have been to Malaysia and it seemed like a nice place to stay in. Indonesia too. And you know what! Even if you think how bad it is, Muslim population in THailand is Growing. While I was driving back from Bangkok to Pattaya, I stopped by a rest room area and I saw that there are Prayer Room for both man and woman! Even in the Bangkok airport you will find prayer spot! All the super market in Thailand has prayer room. I am seen Muslim women working on super mall in Pattaya while my daughter was chanting Kalima they were clapping on her! \n\nMy suggestion, if you would like to feel safe and be safe then Medina has opened up a business visa opportunity where you can get in and stay and may stay al song and you can. OR if you want to have mix of both them Malaysia is great. Also if you think you can take a little / slightly challenge situation staying and Dawah then THailand is the perfect place! Because you will find Muslims and halal food any corner in Thailand, Masjid is available all part of the country even on an Island! You can even walk with wearing Lungi and Punjabi with Tupi.

This is so odd for me because I am having a similar experience, but in the opposite. I live in a small town in Michigan, USA that is very Christian, conservative, and republican. It's very much a place that I want to leave (so maybe in that way we are similar?), but most of my family lives here so it's difficult. I crave a sense of community where I can be surrounded by like-minded people. There is a feeling of division, one that I think is amplified by social media. I don't want to add to that separation, but it seems like there's a hard line in the sand and you're on one side or the other. \n I could never move away from my home country! It's so weird watching other people do it, and it makes me think about the people who stayed during mass exodus in, for example, Scotland. It's like, I share ancestry with Scottish people, but they don't have an immigrant-based background. Ya'll stayed? How does that work?? And here I am, staying. Does that make sense?

I would say the way we live in Canada is very similar to Abyssinia (now called Ethiopia) rather than mecca during when Quraish ruled over mecca. The reason why the prophet Muhammad pbuh did hijra to Yathrib (now called Medina) is because the Prophet pbuh was looking for alliance and the people of Yathrib offered their utmost allegiance with no compromise on islamic practices (other offered but wanted some compromise). However the condition for such alliance was for the Prophet Muhammad pbuh to live with them in Yathrib instead of staying in mecca. After that it became mandatory for all muslim to migrate to Yathrib at that time. \n\nI’m no scholar so please verify what I had wrote with an Imam. My husband is from Gaza, all of his extended family was killed and these three months have been the most emotionally depleting, we also found out we are 2 months pregnant alhamdulilah and because we want to make sure the little one gets the islamic education and lives in a safe environment we can't possibly stay in Canada (we live in Vancouver, almost no visible muslims here). I'm a revert from Europe so people get so confused when they see me in hijab, it's uncomfortable and scary. Given the fact that my husband grew up in Gaza, we would like to move somewhere where islamic values are still very strong and people didn't exchange them for Shakira concerts (I think we all know which country i'm talking about) so our safest bet as of now is Kuwait and Qatar. More strongly Kuwait as there's a big Palestinian community. Hope this helps!

You already made alot of money and you can stay anywhere in the world you want. So don't misguid the people who are looking for opportunities, like you did when you didn't have enough money and came to Canada

I live in texas went from a big city but since becoming a mom we moved to a small town. Best decision we ever made my girls play outside and are ssying hi and thank you, learning to live among others with different views or beliefs with respect. My family is a mix of el Salvador and Honduras, my moms family is of Palestine descent who left and went to a small country who was the only one at time that opened their doors due to their religion. Because of that religion and politics stay outside of our home we were all allowed to explore others but respect was always the rule, and i do the same for my girls if they want to learn we research together and teach them respect of all faiths. We do homeschool because in our small town public school is actually thw second choice of how far out we are from the school. We have also still homes in el Salvador and honduras because my family told us from being little this isnt home and to respect the hist country that opens their doors. I don't wear hijab and I don't feel safe and I don't want to stay in western countries. The indoctrination is also one of the things that makes me leave. And know that I don't even have kids.

More over she is listening for now but not sure for future and this scares me.\nAs you said praying and being a practicing Muslim is difficult here as well. We are Turks but do not have Turkish nationality but when we go for religious holidays in Istanbul I feel completely different, it just feels like I have to live there near the mosque. My inner me begging me when we are in Istanbul in the old part of the city to stay there forever. \nI really know what you feel and want. I am looking for Muslim countries where possible we can move BUT unfortunately I made the conclusion that there is not a place even in a Muslim land that we can live the way of peaceful practicing and being a Muslim what we want to be. \nJust advise be careful with the Arab world, other than that if you look at Türkiye I would say do your research really well, not in every town there you can live your religion.
