The Government of Canada must Stop this now and its Clearly a Scam Fraud poor Kids and poor Family who risk Everything

Nope. Couldn't disagree more. As a child of immigrants I'm a first generation Canadian. My parents left everything behind in the late 60s in order to have a better life. I'm extremely proud and grateful to call myself a Canadian. I'm grateful for the freedom in this country I'm grateful for the sacrifices my parents made in order to offer us kids a better life. I've traveled to my parents home country several times\nI've traveled across the world all through my 20s and I can legit say, thank God for Canada. It's too bad you've experienced such hardship. If you find it so horrible here, brace yourself sweetheart for what's out there in the world.

Its shame what is going on in Canada. This is exploitation of the students and their families back home, who are seeking better life for their kids. It is the responsibility of the Canadian government both federal and provincial to stop it. I know of one family where the person had a heart attack because he went in to debt to pay for their daughter's education in Ontario. Once your are sucked into this system, it is very hard back out.

Everything has a price to pay, if you struggle in college, whatever the reason may be, living away from family, being alone, whatever the reason is. This is a price we have to pay for a successful future. Also, parents who really want to send their kids abroad, send them to good tier 1 European countries, Germany, France, Italy, Spain etc., US and Canada is just a slaughterhouse, the amount of money spent on a child's education there is unhealthy, universities in Germany are free, and the living expenses also aren't as expensive as US or Canada, had i known about Germany before I applied to US universities, i wouldve saved my parents a lot of money

I’m not being rude however I’ve never understood why immigrants say they come to the US for a better lifestyle when essentially majority of immigrants hold a prestigious skill in their country only to relocate to the US & become a janitor cook are something beneath what they were doing living a comfortable life just to live like a homeless person coming to America ?? are Canada ?? are anywhere. It has never made sense to me unless u live in a poor underdeveloped country. I knew someone who married a US citizen just for citizenship she has been struggling with her kids for the last 7-8 years she’s been here & still struggling but had a great life in her own country. I live in the US & it’s overrated to a certain extent stay in your country you’ll be a happier person.

The cost of living is so high that both parents need to work to live. It's hard to have kids when mom and dad are both working full time jobs, barely getting by and day care is also expensive. We need to incentivize kids to pursue trade jobs instead of dancing on tik tok. We also need to protect traditional Canadian identity. Immigration at that rate will rapidly change our demographics with people from cultures very different from Canada's. We will no longer have common holidays that all Canadians celebrate. Unity will be over. Will any mainstream politicians actually speak up about this?

Boomers are retiring at a rate of over 400,000 people per year. The Zoomer generation is tiny and not entering the workforce to fill in the gaps. Canadians stopped having kids and there won't be workers to support the elderly in their retirement. Gramps in the old age home, with no nursing staff, so he's left in his diaper all day x a million gramps. And nobody feeding the pension plan, so grandma is eating dry cat food.\nImmigration is necessary to keep Canada functional when Canadians are too broke to have kids. Maybe Canada can address cost of living (starter homes/gas/food) for young people so actual families can form?

Are you kidding? Canada is already overpopulated. We need to REDUCE our population. We only have 10% habitable land. We're the 2nd largest country in the world with an amount of USABLE land equivalent to what Mexico has. This endless population expansion is a sick and perverted ideology that has to stop now.

Hmmmm, why has the birthrate been lack luster for so many decades. Why has born and bred Canadians living on the streets, no home. Why are kids failing in schools and college students are brain washed. Why does Canada need so many more immigrants, when the government can not take care of our citizens. Those and more questions need addressed before we lose our way of life. All part of a universal government control, by destroying all memories of a free society. No laws, accept what they deem to keep us humanoid in check. Borders are erased, self identity lost. That is my opinion and I stand by that unwavering. ????????????????

The problem is apparently the lack of people in Canada having kids. Some are trying, but unable (infertile for whatever reason), while others don't want children for various reasons, including the cost to raise them. So the government is resorting to ever increasing numbers of immigration to supply the economy with workers. This has been going on for quite a long time, though the numbers have increased dramatically in recent years. I wonder if the government has statistics on the success rate of those they bring into the country? And others have posted here the question of being able to deliver the services all these new comers will need. It's a valid concern.

Imma just put this out there, but maybe, just maybe, make the economy work for us so we can afford HAVING KIDS IN CANADA.

As someone who was an international student in Canada, failed and came back, I’m surprised to see this. What were these people expecting? If you can’t afford to send your child to an international college, don’t do it. If you have to take a loan and put everything you have at risk. If your kids are supposed to work to cover their expenses. How tf is a teenager supposed to work AND study at the same time, living in a foreign country alone, having no one close. It’s the families responsibility to do their research, what does the country has to do with poor financial decisions of a certain group of people? I watched the first 9 minutes only, though.

i am an indian and i dont understand why some indian families particularly in punjab and andhra region are soo obsessed with sending there kids outside for education ??? it has little value in india unless it is an IB league college .. someone going to canada to study commerce or a BSc is very stupid . Finish your graduation in india and give exams for masters . go abroad only if you have a certain good score otherwise it is of no use .

The root problem isn't the greed of these schools in Canada. We need to adk why so many people, especially minorities desperately leave India in the first place. Corruption, poverty, pollution, discrimination, and nowadays Hindu fanatics. Solve these problems, and these kids don't need to escape India.

Having lived in both Canada and Australia, I can clearly say life in Australia is much better than Canada! Tipping 18% to 20% on every service alone made me mad living there... Less paid leave, 7 months of indoor life, constant comparison with the US when US doesn't even care that Canada exists! My kids are more healthier and lively in Australia...

I was born and raised in Canada. My family immigrated in the 70s. Growing up I was proud to be Canadian but after living in other parts of the world I can tell you, Canada isn't it! \n\nFirstly our Prime Minister is a puppet he works for the Commonwealth and whatever they say goes, they profit off all of your hard work. \nThey keep you sick so you rely on the health care system. Medicate you instead of solving the problem. Doctors are exhausted, rude and over worked, emergency rooms are a disaster and if you book an appointment to see your doctor...be sure you're waiting at least a week. If you go to a walk in clinic you risk getting a doctor that seems like they paid for a fake degree.\n\nYou know when you go to a mall in one town and then hear about a mall in another town that has really cool different things??? Ya, not here! Everything is monopolized! Same stores everywhere you go. there's a mall in Toronto called Vaughn Mills mall, when I was in Calgary they have an exact replica just a different name. Small businesses are hard to keep because everything is so expensive. Canada is racist country I came here when I was 10 years old am 52 years old never got a credit card more than $300 dollars had six children from the reach grade 9 the teachers made my kids life a living night mare in every way they made a stumbling block with everything the bank as account in my name that some else used they other people got credit in my name and I cant get credit for myself the downgradel my licence that I have prove that It did not expire in every way the oppress me and my children but I get great comfort knowing that God will judge them for all there wrong doing.

I was born in canada (Montréal ) and never left this country. I thought about maybe moving to Nigeria or Brésil one day. But I’m way too comfortable living here. I'm listening to hear how Canada is not a desirable place to live, bc I have thought it would be a better alternative to the USA. But it still sounds better than life in the USA, if even just slightly. ?\nSo far, I hear 30% taxes on income (which is same in the USA).\nYou have free healthcare, however you have to wait in emergency room for 8 hours.....we DON'T have free healthcare....and guess what? $450+ later, we have still waited 4-10 hours in the ER. \nHere in the USA, our cost of living is insanely high compared to a single and even a double income. Our lowest rent is $1,200 to live in low income surroundings. A rent around $1,800/month will bring you to nicer surroundings in an apartment, but still surrounding areas have crime. \nFood costs are so high, Gas is so high. We haven't bought new clothes for ourselves in YEARS, only for our kids. \nDaycare is $485-500 month per child, even before and after school care. \nHealth insurance averages $145/per person per month, not to mention car insurance which is required to drive. \nSegregation has improved here but is ever being integrated back into our society as racism is kept very alive, even as they constantly teach it in the schools. They say it's to teach history but I believe it is just reinforcing racist ways and thinking patterns. \nI don't blame anyone for wanting to return to the comfort of their own people, language and living and country. \nYou may have us with the cold/hot weather in Canada! \nI didn't know about the Canadian passport being so opportunistic for travelling. You are right ladies , I’ve been living here for 4 years , the health care system is messed up, you have to wait several months or over a year to get an appointment with a specialist, taxes are very very high , you need to have 2 jobs to be able to pay for expenses , I was in college our teacher told us ( we were like 30 students ( his kids were born and raised and Canada and they moved to England and get a better job $$$ and they left , the teacher at the end told us become citizens and go …… to USA , I have 2 jobs and I’m paying taxes like a crazy , I can’t handle that anymore is affecting my mental health

Immigration to a new country is hard. It sounds like it has failed for you so you are right to try somewhere else. My parents put in the hard work and effort to have our family succeed in Canada for their children's sake. I do not remember boredom being a problem for us kids but then we loved the freedom of the outdoors even in winter. We did not rely on other people to entertain us. MY parents had to be very flexible and give up a lot of their old country ways. They did that work and we have all prospered.

One of the top issues is being black. Seen as black and identified as black when you leave a predominantly Black Country. \nWhen I watch the various Realestate shows of white people buying property abroad as second home or just packing up and moving. I always say it must be nice! So of course there’s more opportunities there. \nAnd finally imagine if more countries didn’t need visas to travel? They really would just come to make money and go back home or live bicoastal. I have a male friend who migrated to Edmonton Canada a few years ago. He migrated because his wife was a nurse. But didn't stay there long cuz his sister who is a nurse lives in the USA. He move to the USA Now lives in the USA as an US immigrant along with wife and kids. They are staying with his sister on a one big house.
