We just had an election in Ontario and basically nothing changed. Ontario has been one of the worst performing provinces in Canada for the majority of Doug Ford's mandate over Ontario but people seemingly don't care enough to want change. One of the major problems with Canada in terms of politics is that the aging population has some of the largest block of voters and can pretty much overrule anything that would benefit the younger generation if it would hurt their investments.

Not only is Canada bringing in mass amount of unskilled immigrants, but they are are subsidizing their wages, driving down wages even further as Canadians entering the work force can't compete for jobs when companies can pay well below minimum wage for foreign workers who will be topped up by the government. Our own taxes are being used to make our own citizens more poor.

Brain drain is definitely a big issue. I heard from someone that if you're a US citizen you are required to pay US taxes even if you don't live there and honestly I kind of wish Canada would do the same. If this country raised you and educated you and gave you all the opportunities you've had in your life thus far, you shouldn't get to just up and leave without paying anything back.

biggest difference is cultural, America is a country where people take risks and face hardships due to free will, Canada is a British colony and Canadians are still peasants, society is very complacent and obedient. Got bit by a spider and ended up septic. In hospital for two weeks five blood transfusions. Two knee replacements. Hernia surgery. One child and we stayed in hospital three nights because he had a few issues. Went to Detroit for a surgery that wasn’t approved in Canada but Canada paid me back every penny including hotel costs. Out of all of the above I paid zero!!!! I was actually grouchy for only one min cuz I had to pay 20 bucks for the crutches. lol love my country and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
