Vassi is the ONLY reporter that asks Real questions and shows these ministers have no idea what they are doing. \nThanks Vassi .

I am 45yo and from Brazil. I visited Canada for the 1st time when I was 12. I fell in love with it. Decided I would live there some day.\n\nTen years ago I returned with my wife. The idea was to show her around and see if she was onboard with my plan. She loved it!!!\n\nI am the kind of guy who plans ahead (military...). Our plan was to get papers in order and apply for residency so we would move there around 2025 or 2026.\n\nOur plans started to change about 5 years ago with all the madness that came to Canada during and after the 2020 flu season. \n\nWe recently got our permanent residency elsewhere with better climate, great food, lower costs and much more freedom. \n\nWe are moving next year. \n\nBut Canada taught us that one has to be paying attention to the signs. It all changed so fast in Canada. \n\nBut it is still a beautiful place. I just do not intend to call it home anymore.

Adjusted lol. You mean needs to be dialed waaaaay back, down to zero. Maybe let actual citizens work these jobs… isn’t that a crazy idea?!? I’m sorry that means employers can’t greedily pocket more money for themselves, and they’d actually have to pay citizens a livable wage and benefits… oh nooo…. lol guess their families will only be able to go on 5 vacations a year, instead of their usual 15. Poor employers and corporations…

Really? 500k new immigrants a year with 0 new doctors because they need to redo their studies was a bad idea? Never would have guessed

??If Trudeau’s only good announcements are based on Poilievre’s ideas, the logical conclusion is that Poilievre – not Trudeau – should be Prime Minister

Trudeau: Let's have another Liberal retreat and spend thousands of tax dollars to come up with more bad policy!! Liberals: Good idea he's so smart!!
|

Gee, why now? Also tariffs on China? Now...where have I heard these ideas from respected world leaders long before today? 9 years of the liberal government is 8.5 years too many, in my humble opinion

The Canadians have no idea about over crowding of immigrants. Come to Europe and open your eyes to the problems here. The EU which is only slightly larger than Canada (9.9m sq km vs 10.1m sq km) but has had over 30 million immigrants since the 1980s. Canada is a vast empty country compared to any EU Country, there is loads of land there to build new homes, but they don't for some unknown reason.

Im Canadian, moved to Taiwan in 2004. Never looked back. All the problems i hear now from canadians is the exact opposite here. Life is pretty easy, excellent services, fast and cheap in all sectors. I hope it gets better soon fir my fellow Canadians, though i have no idea how

Canada is hanging on a thread. We should ask to join the United States before this place totally collapses, which is 25 years out, max at this rate. Enjoy the three good months in terms of weather here and work like a dog your whole life so guys like Trudeau can blow it all on him and his buddies, then raise taxes again to bribe more deadbeats to vote Liberal. Have an idea for a business? Better make sure it's not an industry already controlled by one of Canada's monopolistic cartels.

It's brutal in Canada. To make a long story short, the current administration sold us out + couple that with highly incompetent ideas, ect...

Need for Labour is a propped up neoliberal idea\n\nHigher birthrate would modulate this problem, but companies would rather have you believe that we need to rely on immigrants as their Labour is cheaper and we don’t need to fund their education as that will happen elsewhere.\n\nThis is not a good thing

?. Scapegoating immigrants for the housing problem is nuts. These people have no idea how the economy works.

I had an experience in which they needed new managers, they tend to hire a blonde guy/girl that has no idea about whats going on or is even trained, to avoid giving permits, pretty annoying

Multiculturalism is the dumbest idea ever. It simply can't work. Most countries and cultures in the world fight within their borders and with their neighbours. What can one expect when they are all mixed together in one country and they bring all that cultural baggage with them? It doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

Considering the german gov is funding israel to cause genocide after the holocaust i wouldnt go there if it was the last place on earth\nI am surprised that it ranked 5th from the bottom and not first from the bottom\nAll that tax money could have been spent on housing amd making the immigrants feel more welcomed\n\nHeres an idea interview people who lived in germany and already left, because people living there wont give you the full scoop because they are afraid of the gov

To be fair how it sounds if you have no idea and how it sounds if you know the context of what most Arabs think of the Palestinians, it changes his statement completely.

I immigrated to Canada in 1992 from Eastern Europe and had job in high tech which enabled me to move to US in 1998. \nEven though I went back on occasions to Canada to visit friends, had no idea that things changes for worst so much over years. I saw cost of living and housing going up there, but after reading comments here honestly I am in shock. My wife always regretted leaving Canada which we used to call our second home, but after reading here we seem made a right decision back then…

It's true that the housing crisis is caused by multiple factors, as is the crisis in healthcare. However that doesn't mean there is no basis to recognising that adding more population faster than we increase affordable housing and the number of doctors is a bad idea for society. It's not xenophobia to want immigration to be at a sustainable pace.

Sell me the idea of applying for immigration to Germany vs Australia, New Zealand or Canada, if not the US.

Single feminist women have built and voted [aka screamed] in the infrastructure of this country to give them free healthcare, free or cheap child care, cheap university with TONS of student loans, tons of cops, judges, courts, laws, shelters so they could divorce/ leave their husbands and get all the child custody and alimony, tons of budget deficits and debts. Now that the chickens have come home to roost for all these FOOLISH ideas that have bankrupted the country, they want to take all their FOOLISH ideas to another good country that has been conservative and wise and screw it all up all over again. Leftist, feminist politicians have ruined Canada. I hope you're forced to stay here and go down with the ship.

The thing that pisses me off is that this happening on purpose. The world is changeing and it's never coming back again. There are things happening behind the scenes that most people have no idea about. It's pretty concerning. All those priveledges you speak of, are being striped away in front of your eyes.

I started having the idea of moving abroad for a few years now. Being born in the US to Mexican parents, I’m very thankful for living a good life in the states as I’m about to graduate with my masters degree soon. Being 24, I have already traveled to 30 countries since I started going with my father 10 years ago. With where everything is going here in the US, I don’t feel comfortable continuing my life in the states. I haven’t done much research but definitely something for me to look into within the next 5 years. Like you said, it’s not an easy decision to make.

Why did he think it was a good idea to rent a place out as an investment. Everybody knows tenants are awful and the law is not on your side. Whoever advised him steered him down the wrong path.

It has been about a year and a half since the idea of leaving my home country occupied my thoughts. The country I was in born has a great living standard. Crime is almost negligible. Dr*gs are common, but you can live your life totally unaffected by it. However, we live under a dictatorial monarchy. In my country, public domain of life is non-existent. It's such a degrading thing to realise about your life. If you are born in this country, it's as if you agree to exchange any kind individualising characteristics in you for decent living standard. Have no opinions, have no stances, and you will live well. The government is ruthless. You'll be sent to prison for decades for professing the wrong political orientations or religion which the government doesn't approve of. Even possession of certain books may end your life.\nSo I've been thinking of leaving to somewhere on this planet of ours where there is a public realm, where you can live, without having to supress yourself completely so no malicious attention follows you home.

So. You enjoyed the perks of growing up in a safe country, got to learn an universal language that opens up doors everywhere, got general education (math, geography etc) and now will probably live in a 2nd/3rd world country thinking that it’s amazing. As someone who grew up in one of these countries, us kids that get to actually be born in there don’t have the same life. You have no idea what it is to be a citizen in one of these countries by actually being born there and not by being you, a well educated person coming from a developed country. Good luck with that!

The ONLY way you're going to enjoy life in Canada is if you are wealthy! Anything other than that means you are a stressed slave, locked inside a prison corporate system, while paying through the nose for your own slavery i.e. insanely high rent for a roof over your head, a car that gets you to your slave job, and ridiculously high food prices. If you like stress, slavery and the idea of never getting ahead than Canada is for you! It's a live to work/ slave country.

Dear Alina ; Fret not about this choice. I left Canada (for Cambodia)a year ago and I am happy that I did. The idea that Canada is one of the best countries in the world is just a myth. Go with a light heart and discover something better!

I understand peoples idea of leaving Canada. That's okay, you can do that. I'll never leave Canada. It's my home, it's gonna be my home. No matter what yes, we're going through some tough times right now but I can tell you right now. The whole world is going through some tough times it isn't just cand to blame everything on Trudo. Is not right. The conservatives have just as much in this game as anyone else. All these governments have basically fought amongst each other and did nothing to do anything good for Canadians. Now now to run away from Canada and say oh, it's terrible. Oh I can't live here. No more but. That's fine. Don't I get it right now? It sucks living in Canada. The cost of living is absolutely insane but that was federal governments, allowing big corporations to run the country. We have 3 large corporations that run the groceries. We have 3 large corporations that run the cell phone companies. And they charge whatever the hell they want. The government is to blame for all of that because they allowed it to happen and it is just the liberals who is the conservatives as well. They're all to blame for that. The thing is we have to voting. Governments that are actually going to do something to make things right agand we now have a world economy. It's not just a Canadian economy. We have to play by their rules. In order to survive, there's a lot of greedy people out there. And we're the ones in the middle. And that's the way it is until we change it ourselves. Leaving the country isn't going to change anything and it certainly isn't going to change. For the better

Math is simple: countries like Turkey pay almost the same salary in euros, yet the cost of living there is much lower. In countries like the USA, Canada, or certain Arab nations, the salaries can be 5-10 times higher. In places like Turkey, there are plenty of affordable yet high-quality restaurants, as well as effective marketing strategies that appeal to skilled professionals. To retain talent in Germany, you need to offer something special. If you’re paying a top-level engineer the equivalent of a hairdresser’s wage, why would they stay unless they’ve developed deep connections with the community or environment? Friendships and relationships can be crucial factors in retaining talent.\n\nBut with this current pay structure, I’m really not sure what to say. If you put high educated people in a bad position, plenty of contries offering them higher life conditions. It is same for Germans, Germany creating very good engineers, doctors, etc and they are leaving the country.\n\nMaybe instead of creating making migration easier. It is aslo good idea to retain yours.

To be fair unlike America, canada does ACTUALLY have an immigration problem. Immigrants in canada remind the Canadian citizens every day why they are falling into poverty and have no more future. This is why you see a rise of racism against immigrants and stingy attitudes with money like this guy has. \n\nTrust me. Americans, you have NO idea what an actual immigration crisis looks like. You americans are lucky.
