Same story, also moved to Canada(French Canada!!! :D) when I was 4, I'm 32, been in Canada like 24 years. Easy fit, my Dad was Canadian, so got Naturalized easily. I left Canada at the end of 2020. Mostly because of Covid/Work Opportunities in engineering. Now living in the USA with my Canadian Wife and visiting Canada 2 months every year, also happen to be born American, so again, easy(easier**, still hard) move for me. Currently working in engineering, less travel experience, but I did get to visit or work for long period of time in 5 countries. Anyway, I do have similar opinion, I think the solution is a federal housing initiative. We NEED to build north and have more cities than Toronto,Montreal & Vancouver. It would reduce rent & mortgage by a lot. Essentially solving the ''where are we going to put all those immigrants issue'', then secondly, we need to encourage entrepreneurship and business a lot more. We need more jobs and be less reliant on our USA neighbors or EU neighbors 3. Better transport, surprisingly a lot of Canadian don't visit all other Canadian province and prefer traveling out , hell, I want nothern Canada & Nothern Quebec to be more like Alaska, or make it easier from someone from Quebec to move to Alberta, but still easy enough to visit family and friends in their home state in under 3 hours. ;)

Fleeing the country isn't the answer. There are a lot of things you don't know about central America, and Panama ain't no paradise. Also these are countries riddled with dictatorships and coups. Take a look at Guatemala and currently El Salvador. May be fine for foreigners, but soon you'll find yourself jailed in your own house. As a 1rst gen immigrant, I choose to fight because if no one fights, we lose automatically. Better die standing on your own 2 feet than live as a coward.

I've been studying the modern phenomenon of Western refugees. The current term for cause of this destruction is 'woke virus'. However, the actual perpetrators of the woke virus keep themselves well hidden behind a wall of psychological shame is that used to keep people from seeing exactly who they are. They label people with weaponised words, cancel them and undermind them financially when they get too close to the truth or if they know the truth and try to share it with others.\nThere is indeed only one nation left standing that has the same core values as you do and would resonate with your demographic. And of course, that nation is thoroughly demonized in the Western media.

It's not just Canada that has fallen, the WEFs tentacles stretch far and deep. The UK, is broken, my home of 52 years is no longer home. My wife and I have decided to leave, there is no way on God's green earth we would send our daughter to school in the $hithole that is called England. We are researching like mad, currently top of our list is Bulgaria, Albania, Mexico. It's a huge scary decision, but we can't live like this in this broken land, it is heart breaking to see the country you loved torn apart slowly and painfully piece by piece. You don't really have to sugar coat it. Canada WAS a great place to live but it's just not anymore. That's why you're leaving. And let's be clear that this is fault of Liberals in power. They now try to paint Conservatives as the radicals, but it's them who radically changed this country in just 9 years. And they're not finished. Conservatives subscribes to the norm that made this country great in the first place, they're not interested in radical departure from what Canada used to be. That's current Liberals. And NDP. I was actually thinking about moving to Canada. But the last few months and countless videos of people getting the hell out of there has put me right off. The whole Western world is in free fall and those in current power seem hell bent on bringing us all back to serfdom in a weird one world government which seems to be the way things are heading. I currently am considering Germany as work in Canada is horrible for medical educated personnel. Was looking at Italy, Spain, Poland, and Sweden. Canada is hitting me up for a lot of taxes Federal , Provincial, and Municipal. I also am taxed by the USA for taxes for my real estate holdings, and get taxed by Canada for homes I inherited from my elderly uncle’s. I literally rent my homes to my cousins in Tacoma and Kansas as rental rates are unaffordable. I see house values go up but taxes are there to make it impossible to support the valuation. But enough about my tax problems, I hope you can take your journey over there and report what it’s really like?

Sadly, several reasons impact the perception that new comers have on Canadian citizens. The government cannot assume that more is the better. Also there is not a balance on the cultural and races backgrounds from the new comers creating a political polarized system beneficial for ones and damaging for others. There is no effort for maintaining Canadian values but instead an uncontrolled pluralistic system which in reality is completely forsaken by government advocacies and members of the parliament. There are currently several issues that must be addressed such as the cost of living and housing. All of this is obvious, may sound racist but is the truth. Until there is not control over such matters, the country’s situation won’t improve.

Canada's not the same as current PM has ruined it. Chaos will get worse before it gets better with a new leader to fix it. Immigrant's always entered through Sask because it was the easiest to get citizenship. When term was over they went West or East. There are 2 types of immigrant's today, those who want a chance for better life and adapt and those who want to destroys our values (which's' what what we're seeing today). Being born and raised in Sask doesn't feel like home anymore into today's world. East and West looks worse. I'd be happier living abroad!! I have applied for job in pharmaceutical company , german was not required in the ad, however after the interview, they sad that my german level currently A2, is not enough....

Germany created their own problem in their flawed, points-based model of their government pension system. It is like we are paying backwards, where our money earned right now is taken away from us to pay for the pensions of retired people who earned those rights to a government pension years or decades ago during their working lives. We are then given points, with the hope that the next generations one day pay for our own pensions. See the problem?\n\nInstead, people’s hard earned monthly payments towards pension could have instead have been invested for them into actively-managed portfolios of bonds, equities and commodities. Thereby, each and every person currently on pension could have enjoyed the benefits of decades of compounding growth!\n\nNow we are here, as the video says, 2 workers are needed to cover the pension of 1 retired person. This is absolutely absurd and they will never be able to attract 400,000 new skilled workers every year with the current issues highlighted in this video.\n\nMy best advice - when you are working in Germany, seriously think about it to save and invest a portion of your net income and prepare yourself for a future where you cannot solely rely on your German pension!

Currently there are no emergency shelter beds in ontario, never mind Toronto. Next door to me there are a dozen seniors living in their cars in a parking lot....because their pension doesn't come close to rent costs. \n Of course our hearts welcome immigrants, as so many of us are as well. The current resident are suffering more than enough. A couples who are graduates from university of Toronto can not afford buying a house, or rent and can not make a family. The current German IT Market needs Superman, so he can do all types of work. He must be C1 Deutsche Sprache skills, at same time he can work on two to three position at a time, he may agree with a lowest salary as well. There are hundreds of hundreds people searching for jobs, but still not getting the jobs.

Wow! Nurses make slave wages in Germany. They make between $70K and $100K before taxes in the USA. My wife makes $110K plus quarterly bonuses working 3 days per week., 8 hours per day. She schedules her own hours visiting patients at nursing homes. Many of our doctors are Indian and nurses are Filipino. Unfortunately, our current administration values low-skilled workers to take care of.

I moved to Germany in 2018 after being selected in Brazil to get a Arbeitssuche-Visum as a high skilled worker. At that time it was very easy to get a job, it took me 2 weeks to find something that I liked. But the whole process after that to change my visa to a permanent one took more than 2 months and a lot of help from my contact on the Bundesagentur für Arbeit. After that first job, I changed 2 times already, always looking for a better position on my current skill set. My recommendation: learn the language! Even basic german can take you very far.

I am a Filipino nurse and i am single. I've been working here since 2017. It's like i am not having that much or should i say enough. I am spending almost half of my salary just for monthly rent and common necessities. The living cost here are high and the wages are low and not mentioning the number of taxes that will drain you. But what i don't undertsand most is Germany currently rank as 3rd largest economy but it's not even included in Top 10 nations with highest salary for nurses. Now i recently passed the NCLEX exam for the US, and i know it's not just me there's a lot of us who's in the same boat and YES,..maybe it is time to leave Germany soon..

I am a designer and artist who moved to Saxony to reunify with family. I can say, being here for 3 years, it is VERY difficult to find a job in your profession when you do not speak the language. I am not a blue card holder, but my partner is. Despite our financial situation not being a dire one, I still look forward to integrating well in the job market and contributing my expertise + passion in the local society. \n\nI spent around 1.5 year reaching B1 level German (+including the waiting time for german tests, orientation course test and test scores etc.) Even with this B1 knowledge, you cannot communicate in a professional setting, more is needed. I also spent another half year time contacting our local Agency for Work, and experienced discrimination from their consultation service, a long waiting time and no assistance at the end. \n\nIt has been quite a discouraging journey, especially for someone who has high motivation to work and contribute. My current options are looking for jobs in Berlin, English speaker environments like Burger King etc. In my personal case, it has largely affected my confidence and enthusiasm for living in this country.

I am far FAR from automatically blaming current elected leaders for every little ailments in society, but this IS truly an epic fail from the federal Liberal Party. \nIts mindboggling. I still can't pin if its on purpose, which would be evil, or sheer incompetence.

I came to this country via the federal immigration process, with a skilled worker visa nearly 15 years ago. I have always had high paying jobs, own my house, and my car. I don’t regret coming here, but I think the current economic environment is quite different than when I came here. Unless we provide more support for newcomers, I don’t think they will stick around too long.

I believe the government should take a more proactive approach to managing the number of people admitted into Canada, ensuring a balanced and equitable distribution. This has been a problem for 40 years and the reason where hearing about it now is black rock a hedge fund wants to buy up Single family homes/condos and cannot mass rent without changes to the landlord and tenant board. It is the reason the interest rate is currently so high, push people to bankruptcies and buy up the bankruptcies. But honestly if the government is subsiding the building of condos, the infrastructure that supports them, then hands out tax money to builders, gears immigration policy to increase demand then hands out trillions in loans though the CMCH and other programs and most people don't have more than 5 to 15 percent down and then they rent the place out; is it really their place to complain about a tenant. After all their ownership is basically subsidiesd completely by the government and the banking system, they are in effect a minority stake holder in a government banking scam.

It is a global issue. I’m for legal immigration of all levels but the US cannot manage these astronomical numbers. It’s a huge unbalanced burden in inner cities where locals need help but don’t get what just illegally crossing gets you and your kids. It’s taking from the already have nots. people are confused. Immigration is Not the problem, accepting immigrants without money/ investment/skills is the problem. If u only accept highly educated individual or someone who can bring/invest a sum of money in your country, then immigration is a positive move considering the current population of most countries are declining with a lot of senior citizens.\n\nThe money these legal immigrants invested will help boost the economy of the host country, create jobs and etc.\n\nSolely blaming housing price because of the influx of immigration is not the whole picture, if the host country can establish a strict system of requirements for the immigrants to meet, and cap the number of immigrants per year, immigration can be a positive for the host country.\n\nAn army of Uber delivery immigrants will only pull the country productivity down because they need a place to stay and they cant contribute much to the society, thus, the housing price going up.

Real GDP per worker has been trending downwards as our population goes up in recent years. Unemployment and homelessness is spiking.
