My mother was born there and my dad served honorably in the Royal Canadian Navy during the second World War.\nTrudeau is and always has been hateful toward Canadians. I am a French Canadian. I did not hear it From Trudeau in English but I heard it in French, the real reason of the economic war is annexation. Fentanyl, immigration was just a Casus Belli. PM Trudeau got criticized heavily for meeting with Trump back at the end of November. Turns out he was being proactive and attempting diplomacy first, which is the Canadian way. In doing that he's had Canada ahead of the curve on dealing with Trumpler's dopey plans and insults. Trudeau now has new trade deals with other nations in the offing, we are moving forward without the US.

as a Canadian, all I can say is Trump has galvanized our nation not to take up arms, but not to ever capitulate to a bully. Canadians and other nations subject to tariffs, please understand that the *only* reason Trump used fentanyl as a pretext for tariffs is to bypass Congress, because the president can only put tariffs without Congress in matters of national security. Fentanyl is simply a pretext enabling Trump to do whatever he wants.
