I’m a legal landed immigrant / had to score points for consideration…. Was quite the process 30 years ago… \nI am pro legal immigration- but letting thousands of so called “asylum “ seekers flood our country in the current economic climate is despicable!! I think the temp foreign workers and students are not the real problem..

This was by design and it’s going to get worse there is no fixing this without deportation of alm the people that came recently and I’m not anti immigrant just realistic

I'm an immigrant myself, came to Canada 20 years ago. Back then, the immigration was a real challenge, the barrier was high. Years of preparation (language, certifications, whatnot), and years of waiting.\nBut now? Everyone's welcome. No language, no qualification? No problem. Back door is widely open.

I'm a Canadian immigrant (moved here 30 years ago), even I don't want this level of mass migration.

I’m born and brought up in Canada, from immigrant parents. If I was not married, I would without a doubt LEAVE. This country has been plucked clean. I also actively tell new immigrants that they should consider leaving simply because of how socially and economically unwelcoming the country has become. \n\nYes, it has gotten worse since Trudeau’s Fiberal, err I mean Liberal government took power in 2015, but honestly, it’s Canadian peoples’ fault because they repeatedly voted that virus into power. (Mainly Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa’s fault!)

It's hard to find a job in our graduation and experienced area. I'm not talking about refugees, and family enconters. I'm talking about the immigration program for qualified workers, about people with MBAs, master's degrees e and more. I'm going back to my country because I can see and sense that it's not gonna get better. It's unfortunate.

High rent and crime are problems across Canada right now. Larger cities will be more strongly impacted. \nThe root causes are actually quite simple. It's from decades of downloading responsibility for many services until they ended up in the hands of municipalities who had no capacity to fund them, then made 2x worse by the disastrous immigration policy of just the last few years.\nIt explains all three of the problems you identify, unaffordable rent, high crime rate, and underfunded social services.\nSo these are not problems with Toronto, but at the federal and provincial levels. Simply repeating that there are plenty of better options elsewhere doesn't make it true, unless you can give specific examples. Other places likely pay less, require longer commutes, don't offer small size rentals, have even worse social support, similar crime rates, or some combination of all those factors.\nToronto itself isn't as bad as this video makes it out to be. The downtown core skews all the averages, yet all the reporting, b-roll, and examples seen here seem to focus on the core. Of course the reason why it's worse in the core is because so many people want to live there! But I'm not going to concern myself about people who complain that they can't afford to live urban lifestyle, to be a part of 'the scene'. There are plenty of much more affordable options within a 30 minute subway ride of the core. Well inside city limits. But your friends won't think you're cool, so... oh no!\nYes, rents are still too high outside the core, of course. But they aren't as ridiculous as this video suggests. The city is massive. Grow some humility and find a place to that you can afford to live, within Toronto.

I’m a Canadian and I want immigrants…OUT!

I'm a canadian in my late 20s and now I can't even afford a home. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against all the people that have came here, but there has been too many in too short of a time period. The government should've propped up the infrastructure to accommodate these immigrants before initiating this plan of overimmigration. Sure you are giving us a first time home buyer credit and only allowing individuals with a PR to purchase a home, but there is still an underlying issue of how born and raised citizens are now struggling. I cannot imagine how much worse it is for those who are coming here for an education. Not to include the lack of jobs, it is a tough job market out there as well, I may have to move to the US to have a professional career, which is not ideal because I want to stay in Canada.

The promise of Canada is the biggest scam ever. Government lies, all kinds of agents lie. Immigrants believe this BS , sell everything in home country just to be met by absolute misery. Situation is tragic.. People are starving. I can't believe this woman is talking about it so calmly. I'm not against immigration, but prepare for it. In Canada government can't provide basic services for Canadians let alone immigrants. Please do your research before you come.

I'm a Canadian, this government is turning Canada into a chaotic place. Yes we want new immigrants to this country, but the not kind of immigrant this Canadian government is bringing in costing hundreds of millions of tax payer's money with 0 return.

it's the immigration policy. It's changing the cultural landscape of the country and making it less friendly, less safe, and more stressful and competitive. People are too afraid of being called a racist or biggot and we're going broke because of it. I'm a resident of Canada for the past 40 years and I've seen the negative changes. It's not nearly as of high trust society as it used to be. It used to be quaint and free, now it's stressful and shitty.

Australia is suffering the exact same problems no housing, price of everything rising, immigrants complaining. Government wanted to increase it's tax base straight away and didn't have the patience to actually plan around the highest immigration numbers in history. And make no mistake that wasn't an accident. I'm not against immigration but 1 million people in 3 years is a little bit extreme. I can't even imagine how bad it is in Canada, feel for you guys, apart from New Zealand I see Canadians as our other brothers from across the pond.

No we cannot afford the rate of immigration that we have had recently. We don’t have the infrastructure in all our institutions. If you can’t provide quality healthcare to the citizens then clearly you can’t be accepting hundreds of thousands new immigrants per year. No citizen should have to wait fir over a year for any surgery. Also, our healthcare system fails to cover therapies to address chronic pain which has significant impact on overall health and even mobility. Also I’m so sick of hearing about Toronto and Vancouver. The cost of housing is a huge problem in all cities. There are no job opportunities for most students not just international.

Food is one of the most expensive in the world. Healthcare is useless in Canada it’s actually better in Africa. I’m Canadian and I left Canada 15 years ago never looked back. I’m a Canadian (from an immigrant background) in their early 20s. I’m planning to leave Canada within the next 5 years. The Trudeau government has virtually destroyed this country. Housing, taxes, low productivity, and a broken immigration have absolutely brought this country to its knees.

I m an immigrant who came here over 30 years ago. And I say stop immigration. We have been waiting for family doctor for 9 years now. When we came in we did not get any free housing or government money. We worked 2 jobs now we have to work 2 jobs to pay taxes and support new immigrants who can free housing. Come on now. My kids could not got to Toronto university because they could not pay for the housing there but yet you give money to immigrants to live in Toronto.

Canada is a joke now, trying so hard to be a 51st state. We've got all the crime and all the tent cities to compete with the very greatest American cities. Our tiny little towns now have homeless folks and I fear the day I become homeless.\n\nWe've lost our honour. We've sold out to corporations. We're intentionally pushing people out of their homes so the rich may get richer. And our Cuban PM, Justin Castro, is alright with it. He's also happy providing immigrants with subsidized housing while born-and-bred Canadians suffer. Heck, 'everyday young people' in their 20s can't even envision owning a home unless they come from a wealthy family or their parents die and leave the family home to them. They're better off buying an RV but even those cost what a house SHOULD cost.\n\nThis is not the Canada I was born in. It's a total effing disaster. The only saving grace for me is that I brought no children into this mess and I really hope to be dead before Xmas if I don't find a job. Being as I'm a coward and my doctor won't euthanize me (I asked), I figure a hunger strike is the was to go unless I can find a high enough cliff. I was born in Canada to a Polish immigrant mother. My mothers family came to Canada to escape the tail end of communism and seek better opportunities. I’m 22, I have a degree from a good university and I’m now living with my mother working part time at a liquor store. I was told as a teenager as long as I got a degree I’d have a job and have enough to live on my own. I was lied to. I’m currently working on getting my dual Polish-Canadian citizenship and doing a certification to go teach English in Europe. I can’t have a good life here the way prices are and the stress being in this country brings. There’s homeless encampments everywhere, even in front of my city hall. There’s a couple homeless people who sit outside the store I work at and it’s a heavy reminder I’m one argument with my mother from sitting where they are. I am constantly worried I will become homeless.

I think the “no one wants to live in Canada” thing is such a stretch it could qualify as a lie. We still have a lot of people trying to immigrate here, and while I’m sure there are a lot of people trying to leave Canada, I don’t know any of them. Things aren’t great but it’s still Canada. Life is still great here compared to most of the world. We’ve been spoiled by the good times we’ve had, that’s all.

These people came here for the freebies and they will vote for the party throwing money at them. Trudeau needs landed immigrant votes to get reelected. Brown and black are in and white is on the way out. I'm too old to care anymore.

A senior\nA topic I would like to see any blogger address is the number of Cdns that are not able to work because of drug addiction compared to the number of willing immigrants that will fill those positions. \nI raised my son to have good work ethics and was considered a strict parent but man-o-man am I ever thankful that I did. Student housing where I am in Ontario is always a problem. SLC never has enough accommodations and our student body is comprised of probably 80% immigrants. I'm not even kidding.

Getting ill causing a month long stay in the ICU left me homeless as living paycheck to paycheck causes once the cheques stop , I was placed in a Toronto homeless shelter 3 years ago and I can tell you that African refugees enter a shelter and no more than 3 weeks later are housed usually 5 at a time all Getting a fully paid market value 1 bedroom apartment average price $2,600 monthly that with a monthly welfare cheque and free food dental medical prescriptions clothing WIN WIN WIN the Canadian born homeless shelter residents get put on a 38,000 name waiting list for Ontario's drug infested housing ghettos the Africans are being housed under a kept secret program called COHB secret from us Canadian homeless that is and I've witnessed this now at 5 different shelters I've been in, having befriended one of the African migrants who is a little unstable drinking alcohol and smoking pot so he hasn't been housed but he has shown me the paper work that has been housing his fellow illegal immigrants and I say illegal because they all came as visitors only to claim asylum as soon as they land he also told me they all borrow the money for their plane tickets from a gang who once they land and start instantly getting welfare have to send half the proceeds back to this gang in Africa for the next two years , in this shelter donated clothing comes in everyday and two African shelter residents fold and sort the clothing taking all the name brand clothes what they didn't hand out to the other Africans they walk to the post office and ship it back to Africa I'm not making this shit up after we complained to staff which also happen to be made up from the Africans themselves yes they've hired wolves to watch over the other wolves so they now aren't walking out the front door everyday with garbage bags full of clothes at least not in front of our eyes DON'T CALL ME RACIST I know that's the go to word when this insanity is made public , what do you think is the first thing these Africans do when they walk into their free apartment? Make phone calls back to the friends they left in Africa saying Get on the next plane to Canada free apartment free food free clothing free medication free dental and free money every month Canadians need not apply

I’m a Canadian who lived in Toronto during and after the pandemic (and now moved abroad). The city is not what it was when I was a kid. Completely run down, escalated crimes, homelessness outside my apartment building. Also many immigrants are given more opportunities to fill company’s quota of diversity. Good journalism on this video, thank you for showing the real Toronto. Many foreigners think Canada is a dream country and it’s simply not. Canadians are struggling in our own country, it’s just sad.

Here in Moncton New Brunswick its been getting bad over the past few years with homeless camps, yet they are building huge apartment buildings on every possible place they can find space but those are all going to all the immigrants and people moving out here from Quebec and Ontario. I'm a school bus driver and just on Monday while driving my students, there was a group of homeless trying to resuscitate a guy on the sidewalk who looked completely dead with a purple face and this happened maybe 50ft from a local foodbank. They all walk like they are zombified and bent/knelt over. Thanks to woke mayor's and their sanctuary cities we are seeing this crap and to Trudeaus and his Liberal governments immigration policies.

I remember my story at Mumbai Airport in 1998, when the immigration officer was upset , threw my passport and said he won't let let me cross. I had just completed my studies in India, I did not say anything to him , but still he was upset, I was appalled by that uncivil behavior, so I'm not surprised that this uncivil Indian acted this way. I have been around here for a while.And i'm sad to say that canada is no longer the great place to live that it used to be.\nThe sharpest decline has been during the justin years.\nAlso, the government's lack of proper security screening seems to be compounding the problems caused by mass immigration.

Those 5 years in Canada were the worst 5 years of my life, even then, when I was there in Canada - it wasn't as bad as today - today it is much worse (there is now a homeless camp five hundred meters from the block where I lived, it wasn't there then). Here, where I am now, I do not have a permanent job and a stable income, however, I live much better, much easier, with less effort, and most importantly, much healthier and peacefully than in Canada. I never even thought about going back there. Despite the false propaganda (because the Canadian state makes a lot of money from immigration - in order to legally immigrate to Canada, I had to spend 2000-3000 for administrative costs and show $10,000 in cash when entering Canada, plus a $1200 plane ticket) that Canada is one of the best places to live, my experience is that it is one of the worst places to live (and I have lived in both Germany and Cyprus and in my native country which has been devastated by Western sanctions and NATO bombing. Never in the 16 years since I left Canada have I thinking of going back there. I'm sorry, my experience was extremely negative.

Canada needs immigranst, but the skilled ones from all over the world. Most of 1m immigrants are from India and China. The vast majority of international students are Indians. Most of them are enroled in fake or low ranking institutions. So we got more than 1m Indinas in one year. What happened to diversity and multiculturalsm? I'm sure that they will all vote for JT.

The only ones a feel sad for that are homeless is my fellow Canadians ! For no fault of their own this Trudeau administration has brought on this sadness and no disrespect to the immigrants that have recently arrived they were used by Trudeau his selfishness was to hopefully used them for votes. What I'm amazed at is the number of people who are under the impression that Justin Trudeau is at the commands of this country's policies. He is merely the spokesman of the elite that governs behind the curtain. You can get rid of Trudeau in the next elections, but it won't make any difference. It's a global plan to crash the economy and replace it with crypto currency so to better control the masses. Over immigration is part of the plan, and you can see it happening elsewhere in the states and in Europe.
