why there should be islamic environment in Canada ? rather any country which is not being called as islamic country? \nYou people should understand that if you are moving to a different country, one need to follow that country rules , respect and adopt their culture but keeping your values high. Im a Canadian citizen and I live in Canada for more than 30 years the problem in this country is the government system is not good this is a kind of communist system and it will get worse if the system in Canada is not changed and the thing about having Canadian experience this is a crap and this is a stupidity. People from Canada which they are born there and they have business there they have to allow people and to receive people with their work experience and they shouldn't discriminate other people this is a their mentality and needs to be changed. I have been in US for 20 years and can understand the experience that you are sharing. Frankly, countries like US and Canada are not for people who can’t do some basic things on their own. \nPeople leave their families and comfort of their home and come to these countries either to earn money, eventually have a good quality life or to provide a good quality education for their kids. If you don’t have a reason good enough to make that move and keep the option of running back home on facing little hardship then there is no way you can live in these countries. Forget about going and living in other countries you can’t even go and live in another state within India. Do you think it’s easy for a North Indian to go and live in South (or vice versa) where they encounter language and culture barriers? \nYou were in much much better situation as you already had PR and didn’t have to go through stress of handling uncertainty on your visa situation based on job.\nTrust me it takes few years for you to get adjusted to new environment, culture, people, food etc. But, as you spend more and more time in these countries you get more accustomed to way of living here and then you become so comfortable with it that you don’t want to go back at all.\nDon’t want to judge anyone but I guess in your case at your age with family already settled in India you didn’t have a solid enough reason to get out of your comfort zone and give time to get used to such big transition in your life

Good for you. I hope you find a nice muslim country to move to. Where you will have a nice life in a total muslim country. When you are there please inform all muslims, especially the ones who are thinking to emigrate to any western country, that they should stay where they are. It will also be a very good thing if you can persuade other muslim in west to move back to their respective country. May I suggest one of the MENA countries. They are very religous there and you wouldn't be harassed by any Christins, jews , hindus or other religions. They simply don't exist there. You don't have to bother about elections and other western nonsens. Just pray 5 times a day and on Friday ,go to the mosque and the iman will tell you everthing you need to know.

I have to ask are you giving up your Canadian citizenship? And I have to tell you I bet you are going to keep it. We came to Canada in seventies, and it takes at least 5 to 8 years to settle here. These days, people are doing well in India. There is no need to move here. Canada has also changed a lot. I know people who came to Canada returned to india after 5 months. Not once twice. They came back and are well settled. I will say if people are doing good in India and have a big circle of family and friends in India. Then they won't be happy here. Finding a good job takes years in some case. It's your luck too if you find a decent job then you will be ok. The worst thing here is long winter. You get tired of cold and snow. Now the cost of living is very high, renting or buying a house is very expensive. In the end, most people make it.

But one thing I tell you now most Muslims countrys fight 'g one and other ?don't turn back good luck ?

We live in Houston, Texas, where the culture is more conservative. Parents are not told how to raise their children, cost of living is still relatively good, and being Muslim (wife wears hijab) hasn't been as challenging as other places. \n\nPlenty of Muslims from all over, mosques, Islamic schools, halal food, etc too. \n\nMy parents moved my siblings and I from Los Angeles to Karachi, when I was 12. Not so much for religious reasons, more homesickness. After a miserable 15 yrs, I moved back to the US. \n\nI'm not trying to dissuade you guys. Wanted to share a few key things to help your transition:\n1. Pilot it out. Move to Istanbul for 6 months, then maybe Kuala Lumpur for another 6 months, etc. Test out each location. Inflation is everywhere. Not all Islamic countries are Islamic. But you have to experience it first hand. \n2. Take LOTS of money. A decent life outside the first world means you're loaded. \n3. Build connections where ever you go. The things we take for granted are luxuries elsewhere. Water, electricity, gas. Connections help you get what you need, sometimes for a price. \n4. Schools will be underwhelming. If you can homeschool, cool. \n5. If you start a business, go solo. Don't partner up with others. \n\nIn any case, hope it works out inshaAllah. Who knows, we may be neighbors!

Before moving please make sure what you would be doing in a new country for living? Will you be able to manage until you pickup your earnings. I think things might get better when we have our new common sense PM, the current one is just so incompetent, I will for sure leave this place if he gets re-elected in 2 years. It's a sacrifice for the first gen but your kids will have infinite opportunities growing up in a western country compared to india. In India outside IT and a few select fields it's impossible to get a well paying job. In western countries there are much more optionsk, even plumbers, electricians, etc make good money there. They have so many disciplines in undergrad which we haven't even heard of, and much more flexibility of switching careers, longer shelf life of getting degrees etc. \nPlus, your child gets to experience so many things like every child there learns swimming, hiking, skiing, seeing beautiful museums, etc.

If you can consider it a good thing , then the only good thing about all the homeless , is that tent sales are up , if stores and government can make money off the homeless , then they do not see homelessness as a problem .

My advice look for a country or city with more conservative values. If that means they have high Christian or Buddhist populations that's not necessarily a bad thing. Probably a good thing. People of faith often have the most respect for other people of faith. Also the society may be more socially conservative. As a Christian I find the secular and left leaning governments open to people of faith, especially Christians. I think its a matter of time before other faiths start copping more heat and restrictions. I'd stay away from lots of Europe as things are heating up after the issues they've had and the rise of the left and the right at the extreme ends.

I used to live in toronto and i actually liked it there, people are ok not as friendly but ok, the lifestyle was good with so many different things available to do, u never get bored there, good nightlife, good sceneries, good malls, good parties, hot looking girls everywhere, the food is amazing with so many options to choose from all around the world, all good...... but the big problem was that life was so damn expensive, i had 2 jobs and was barely making enough money to survive, that's why i left.

You moved to Canada at the worst time, this is rough for everyone now, well because of politics and stuff. BEFORE 2016 life was great! I was able to buy a house in GTA, find jobs no problem, lots of jobs even during 2008, make good money to rent and save for house. And go out every weekend wow! How about now? You are lucky if you can find a place to rent! Current gov really messed things up! Too bad new comers will just think this is normal, and now know how bad the gov made it for everyone and still making it worse with making up new taxes making everyone poorer, except themselves.

Good answer. Remove the weight. When I worked in Saudi it always amused me that if you bought a globe or a map anywhere in the country, “Israel” simply didn’t show up on them. Only Palestine. Yet I never heard a harsh word directed at Israel or Israelis. Simply a refusal to accept the existence of a country that exists by apartheid and now genocide. (And of course Saudi has no business judging anyone on human rights (ahem… it’s true) but they are at least slowly improving some things.) He didn’t address even the existence of Israel. Simply pointed out the truth, which is that it’s Palestinian land, and “the weight” (Israel) of oppression simply needs to be removed from where it’s digging in it’s heels. Israel needs to take their boot off the necks of their victims and learn to get along WITHOUT open air prisons they insist aren’t ghettos.

It's obvious that you have never lived outside of Canada. Canada is probably one of the last countries in the world that accepts people for who they are and has a decent level of respect for belief systems. I get that you want to raise your children in a better environment, but trust me when I tell you this... you are walking into a world of disappointment. Canada itself is about 15 years behind other countries when it comes to this downwards spiral you are speaking of. Sadly, you will find out soon enough that this utopia you want to find, simply doesn't exist and you will discover you have left the variable comforts and safety of Canada behind. I visit Canada regularly since the late 90th. I saw a steady decline in the last years. Get rid of Trudeau and his bad politics. The sad thing is that this happens to many western countries. Currently I live in Germany. The loss of wealth and confidence due to damage done to the economy by the current government is mind blowing. People are angry. Visiting the Netherlands, Britain, France - everywhere I go in the west it’s the same. Im not against it. We may need the numbers soon. They come here for more than just the narrative. Its alot for the states to take on currently cant say it isnt. Born Canadian here who spent alot of time in Asia... I would never, NEVER move here. However I'm stuck here now so I'll be positive and list the good things I miss when I was away. 1) dairy... love that milk and cheese. 2) ......... thats it sorry

high cost of living it makes sense to leave Canada all together . You are taxed to death in Canada every thing cost more Canada is a great place if you all ready have lots of money . But if you don’t it’s hard. I find it so weird when they ask for Canadian experience when you just came to Canada I blame the employer they make it difficult for people to get hired and in return people leave to find a job in a different country I did the same thing came to Canada to look for work working in IT and I didn’t get IT job because I did t have any Canadian experience. After two years of working at a job that was not even what I studied I left Canada and found a job that I studied for I got a good job in America Long island New York and never looked back……. I get paid double then I would have if I had gotten a job in Canada any way ….. forget Canadian experience it’s not worth moving to Canada the country has changed. You pay more for everything in the states you get things for a lot less . Car insurance in Canada is so expensive……… do t get me started on the winter ?

Counting days until my early retirement (still several years) to go back to Thailand, my home country. Quality of life in Canada used to be better when i came 25 years ago and things have gone downhill in recent years, especially after the pandemic. As a middle income class with good secured job, i feel the purchasing power has significantlyndiminishing and disposable income left to spend outside necessities is very low or none.

In particular, no public Jewish environment (like your example of calls for prayer or places to pray at the mall), hate crimes against visible Jews at an all-time high, etc. \nSo where in the world should Jews move to find those things? Is there a Jewish country you could recommend all Jews should relocate to?

I agree 100% as an Australian your doing the right thing because even here I am seeing these things which are morally wrong and you cant speak out because your made as the bad person. So I hope you find your paradise on Earth that is what you want..My parents after second world war came to Australia now gone and I am old I wish I could leave here and go somewhere else but its safe where we are and in Tasmania so its cold we have a good state its small but very cold hehe so good luck..

More than 50% of a city being born elsewhere is not a good thing. There's no social cohesion, no sense of community, not even a common language. Vancouver is the same. And all the unique local culture has been systematically dismantled by our governments. I hate my own country.
