Here in Vancouver BC, there are some Mexicans that sub rent to another Mexicans apartments n belasements to make business out this people. 6-7 people in 1 bed apartmnet !!!!.... Canada has failed in this one.

I am living in India and planning to go us but still i don't support immigration at such large and bombarding scale. There should be some eligibility to stay and strict laws on deporting if they fail the eligibility( like willing to embrace new culture instead of propagating their culture and try to make it their home country) Remember that most the people are leaving their country because of trend and society influence they live in. Trudeau and the ignorant people who vote for his lies and his NDP coalition have failed Canada. A whole generation of young people will have to give up on the dream to own a home thanks to the choices of voters for the past 9 years. They realize now what they have done to their country and of course think its someone else's problem. Liberal rule under Paul Martin was not like this, neither under Conservative management of Harper who carried us through the 2008 collapse. Trudeau and those sick minded supporters have wrecked all that hard work well into the future.

Canada is a failed state

The Canadian government subsidizes the wages of workers from India through a work-study arrangement. Most of the unskilled work in my small town (fast food and restaurants in particular) is taken by these students from India, while the teens and adults who have lived in the town their entire lives cannot get jobs because of it. My tax dollars are helping huge corporations pay wages of foreign workers, and my own child and MANY others were turned down for employment by these same companies. Not sure where these workers are living, because there is also a housing crisis in our area. Our immigration system is failing immigrants and Canadians alike.

Why don't Muslims fix their own countries? Why go to EU and want to force them to adapt a failed, religion and culture? Stay in your own places!!!!!

Bringing in people with completely different customs, cultures, languages and experiences who have no intention of assimilating into a new country, but create mini enclaves of the failed societies they left behind. What could go wrong? It's madness.

Corporations and businesses want an increasing supply of cheap labour. The real estate/development industry wants a growing market. The International School industry lobbies for increased numbers. Canadian governments have failed the citizens of Canada who sacrificed, paid taxes and literally built this country. Replacement Theory is a reality for many Canadians these days.

It is not only Canada! I was in Canada in 2006 back then the immigrants from China were the most arrogant and unfair merchants I had seen. I thought Canada had the ideal law to host more immigrants according to their needs. Obviously they failed just like all European countries! We have problems 1:1.

So I have suggestions for improvement for both India and Canada \nIndia - Population control bill needed now, strict implementation of anti corruption laws on all whether bureaucrats or politicians, improvement in education at all levels (skill enhancement).\nCanada - A better leadership needed. Trudeau failed miserably. Canada needs to start making it's own stuff now i.e. focus on manufacturing industries and increase in exports, can't rely on US for everything. Pvt players to be introduced in healthcare to lessen the burden of public healthcare. Housing needs better regulations now. And immigration should be merit based (current point system is not bad) but don't give it to everybody like they did during Covid time. Everybody was granted PR despite very low CRS score. And avoid more refugees.

Immigration is essential. Blame the leaders for failing to provide infrastructure. This is also true outside of the immigration issue. We have not addressed or overcome the slashing and burning of the 90's. Don't blame the need for immigration. Blame politicians for ignoring the elephant in the room. They have to spend money to properly integrate folks. It's not fair to anyone.

Just to give some clarity, its not just the immigrants Canada is failing. Its ALL Canadian citizens under 40 who weren't born on third base.

Problem is not immigration but how we are settling new immigrants. In the 1970s Canada accepted 200k Vietnamese refugees after Vietnam War. They were settled into small towns across Canada. That is why even in a small town with population of few thousands, we still have Vietnamese restaurants around the corner.\n\nLooking at the future, world is becoming more localized. While politicians are calling for setting up local manufacturing, they failed to comprehend the most basic economic principle that we need a labour force to have any industry or economy. Rather than setting up a better program to help immigrants intigrating into our economy, and stimulating development in less populated towns and provinces, they only know to stoke comflicts and scapegoating...\n\nI wish mandatory Econ 101 class is given to anyone running for office.

I am an immigrant myself and could not agree more with it. The government is bringing in people blindly at the cost of jacking up prices to unbelievable levels for shelter, food and so on. Jobs are taken away from locals and has been handed over to new immigrants, our students are struggling to find jobs. Crime is on the rise . It almost seems like the they gave up the immigration vetting system and are bringing in people without due delegence. This is NOT the Canada I came to more than a decade ago. It has changed and continues to change for worse unfortunately. My vote is never going to a liberal ever again. They failed this country big time

The problem with some of the immigration is that some forget the values and ethics! The rise of of these problems across western nations and the anger and frustration is because of failed economic policies that has left a vast majority of the population struggling to cope with high costs of living and lack of stability in their ability to provide for their families!! Immigration unfortunately is the catalyst that lights the inferno and is also the most visible scapegoat to some very deep underlying issues in society and the economy! Do you think these events will still occur if people not struggling economically/financially???

The lack of public infrastructure and government failure on that front is most definitely a huge problem. But large numbers of immigrants, refugees, and temporary foreign workers is a different part of the same problem. They are intertwined and cannot be separated from one another. Governments at all levels have failed us.

The federal government failed on immigration. They correctly identified the demographic needs but ignored everything else. There was already not enough housing nationally and then the government added millions of more people also needing housing. Born and raised in Toronto, I know this city has deep ethnic diversity. But today it is a sh*tshow. Period. We are not allowed to challenge reckless and passive aggressive politicians on the failed immigration policy and absence of a national strategy for housing, for addiction recovery, for mental health support. I am a Economics Major and decided to leave Canada (Toronto) in 2020.\n\nThanks to my education in UoFT, I was able to forecast the macro economic factors and in every permutation combination it was a recipe for disaster. \n\nI sometimes miss Cherry Blossom Spring of the Hyde Park.\n\nBut apart from that, it was a wise decision from my end and never regretted it.\n\nCanada's main issue is not housing crisis but failing to expand opportunities into smaller provinces.

The liberal government is failing at vetting new immigrants properly. Not to mention it is vastly changing every aspect of Canadian life (the plan in the first place by liberals) What do you expect? People to be happy?

They mention it in passing but fail to really hit the nail on the head in this video... The biggest issue is the lack of funding going into infrastructure and public housing. With limited resources causing rising costs, you either need to limit the number of people competing for resources or build more resources. We need immigrants in this country, especially with this huge aging population. This means we have to reinvest in public programs in a real way. The costs up front seem huge but the payoff is immeasurable, everyone's quality of life will go up.

Many, many, many years ago I recall when they expanded Hwy 401 through Toronto and everyone was saying how much of waste it was to have such a large Hwy. Look at it now. It’s called urban planning and your politicians are directly responsible. There should never be a problem with immigration as long as planning is done appropriately. This is where Toronto and Canada fail miserably.

Our system is overloaded - transportation, municipal, social systems, health systems, and education systems!!! Foodbanks and shelters are full; and we're failing actual Canadians. Lastly, crime - violent crime has increased. Look at Brampton and tell me, with a straight face, that isnt the case.
