Just a few days ago, I watched a series comparing houses and apartments across Canada, with literal castles in Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain, etc. It's insane. Some of the houses compared were CONDEMNED, and were still worth a decent castle.

What they fail to say is that they do not have enough points to gain PR. Literally hundreds of thousands of people immigrate to Canada yearly (as per the program requirements) and that’s because they have enough points to get invited for PR. \n\nGet your points up, be competitive like everybody else.

These people are literally taking the advantage of immigration system in North America.

They're streaming into the US from Canada to NYC by the (literally busloads) because NYC has a free housing policy for illegal immigrants. They are being housed while veterans are left on the streets - literally no room at the inn. Everybody is crying about illegal immigration at the SOUTHERN border, but don't complain about the illegal immigration at the NORTHER border. Didn't Trump build his 'big beautiful wall'? Did we not spend millions of taxpayer dollars on it? I know Mexico didn't pay a penny on it. I also know if illegal immigration is higher under Biden than Trump, his big beautiful wall is a big beautiful FAILURE.

Canada let in many immigrants before, I literally grew up with every different type of race basically in elem school, difference is back then seems like they actually had a process and did it properly not to clog up everythig, now Canada makes it worse for EVERYONE, its pathetic, its not rAcIsT ro point out you cant just let a bunch of people in at once, just like when you have a company, you dont just hire 100 new people randomly, uts the same thing

If Canadians are unhappy about immigration, that literally means it’s an indisputable scientific fact that there are immense issues with our system. The dark and disgusting side of this that doesn’t get talked about is how many newcomers leave shortly after spending everything they have to boost our GDP before they realize they’ll never get the opportunity or life they were promised here. I don’t think it’s just Canadians that see immense issues with our immigration system.\n\nImmigration also implies diversity. Not just flooding the country with millions of people from one section of the world.\n\nWe are indeed in a catch 22 though, because with the lack of replacement birth rate we’ve had, we can’t simply haunt immigration. But the asinine quota needs to go down. This all boils down to basic math and basic economics. There are no excuses for how badly this has been botched.

Order says to move out by Aug 18. Not only is she able to appeal, which will be granted for any reason she can invent, but even if this doesn't happen he still has to schedule the sheriff to physically perform the eviction which is minimum 8 to 10 weeks out. This is one of the causes of the housing market in that people with units available to rent won't do so because they are scared of this happening to them. Literally thousands of units across Ontario go vacant due to the broken LTB.

Sorry--I feel the need to correct one key aspect of this story. What is happening in Poland, Baltics, and Finland (with regard to migrants) is wholly different than what is happening in Greece. Comparing the two is comparing apples and oranges. \n\nIn Poland, it is Belarus who is weaponizing irregular migration patterns to specifically challenge the EU laws and disrupt society. While that may not bring any clarity to the legal situation regarding what the European Union should do, the *reason* for migration is fundamentally important. On the other hand, migrants coming through the Mediterranean Sea are coming of their own volition. The European Union *should* find ways to be more lenient when it comes to accepting refugees who are expressing genuine need and come organically. But aggressor countries like Belarus and Russia (who are specifically seeking to destabilize the EU) should be strongly disinsentivized from using human beings as pawns. Sure, Poles have shown anti-immigrant sentiment, but Belarussian troops have literally pushed migrants to the borders. They are causing the humanitarian situation, not the EU. \n\nTLDR: what's happening in Poland is totally different than what is happening in Greece. To equate the two is wrong.

I keep thinking that people will smarten up but in fact it continues to get worst. People continue to vote for the very political party that made this all possible. \nWe cannot sustain all these people. We need to fix the issues going on in our country with our own people first before we can even think about helping anybody else. It is a very important thing to note that despite Canada being the second largest country in the world by landmass, the vast majority of the population lives 100km from the American border because the vast majority of the land has no infrastructure to have large scale habitation. Outside of the prairies and the st Lawrence valley, there is precious little farmland to sustain people. So we import a huge percentage of our food which can also attribute to rising costs (not the only factor but it doesn’t help). Geographically, this country can’t comfortably hold more than 36 million people. Our population really shouldn’t grow beyond that unless we have infrastructure to house and feed people, which we barely do for the people that live here let alone the folks coming in. I feel like people want to make it a race issue, but that’s misguided. Canada is not America. We can’t fill our country top to bottom with people it’s logistically too difficult. Corporations and businesses want an increasing supply of cheap labour. The real estate/development industry wants a growing market. The International School industry lobbies for increased numbers. Canadian governments have failed the citizens of Canada who sacrificed, paid taxes and literally built this country. Replacement Theory is a reality for many Canadians these days.

Without a LOT of immigration the truth is that western countries like Canada and most European countries would simply collapse in a few decades for the problem of demographic decrease... My european country of 10 million habitants is being literally 'invaded' by a huge influx of immigrants as we speak and to be honest there is no other way to make the country viable in the long term. We the western people stopped having kids decades ago and now there's no turning back...

Canada has a serious problem dealing with a large influx of migrants coming from India. I am American who just traveled to Toronto last week and noticed Indians are everywhere, literally everywhere. It makes me wonder why so I looked into some statistics which showed the number of immigrants coming into Canada from India is equivalent to the number of immigrants coming from many other countries combined. Immigration itself is fine but why importing so many people from one particular country India - this is the question Canadian citizens should ask their government

1st thought - *STOP being an IL Literate* and learn the difference between Immigration & seeking asylum/refugee status. Even if Canada stops all immigration tomorrow - it is still obligated to accept asylum status.

The bottom line is, Canada _is_ an immigrant country: we will keep accepting immigrants and international students and refugees and asylum seekers in the years to come, that’s just what Canada is about, but I do believe the government needs to manage the flow in a _smarter_ way - policies and regulations that both fulfill Canada’s labor needs, but also obviously do NOT cause the rest of the population to struggle to literally just survive.

The video literally calls out the fact that the Canadian economy needs immigrant workers and that the problem is an artificially constricted housing market and the comments are all still providing excuses why Canada should commit economic suicide by restricting immigration lol. Last week I went into a Tim Hortons and 4 indians stood there, ignored us for 5 minutes straight. They were literally chatting in their language the entire time had weren't doing anything.
