Well india now has more than 1 billion middle class people looking to travel abroad. Lots of countries cannot handle the sheer number of indian tourists. India gets more than 70% of the usa H1B Visas so it's already getting most of the world's Visas. Maybe Indians should stay home and support states like Goa that are suffering from a lack of tourists

False self-esteem! Economic superpower? No. What matters is per capita GDP, and we are not great by that measure. Military power, maybe yes. Our public behavior, hygiene, corruption, petty lawlessness and developmental indices all leave much to be desired. There is not much that makes Indians attractive to the rest of the world and we seem to not realize that! I just love it,,, i mean i just love it when we get a reality check,, i have been to 20 countries for studies, for work and as a toursit , i didnt face any visa rejection (maybe bcos my documents and funds were good) but boy o boy i just saw the behaviour of mostly hindi belt guys who go to Visa free countries like malaysia, bali, thailand and what horrible behaviour, they will spit around, drink pass lewid comments on foreigners and local ladies, try to bargain it was such an embarrassment, there were people chanting religious slogans near burj khalifa making reels, recently i visited georgia and some gujrati family was asking for seperate vegetarian cooked meals in an authentic georgian restaurant,, they were talking like they owned that place.\n\nI left india for studies in 2000 and came back in 2013, but during this time the indians were well behaved abroad and followed the rules,, maybe post smartphone era and the so called Godi media all have got a false feeling that we have become some vishwaguru just look at our comments on any videos on youtube instagram which are critical of us.\nThere was a news on one Lapdog Godi channel that Trump is crying infront of our PM that we help him in LA fires,, such shameless and bigoted lies will make any dimwit person think we are the greatest,\nIts high time we should start retrospecting our online as well as social behaviour.

There has to be a reason why so many Indians want to come to all these countries maybe you should resolve your issues in your own country instead of bringing them to all these innocent countries

Believe or not because of the behavioural issues also become one reason for rejection. Maybe not a big reason but it definitely should consider. Any immigrant who enters to a country must obey the rules and policies, respect others, environment, culture etc. in Canada from some cities other nations are moving out out due this people are trying to make here as their country in all aspects. Most of them are really loud in stores and anywhere we go. Definitely there should be some behavioural lessons for them for sure. Some make illegal documents. Some so gossipy at work places. Some tell so much lies to reach higher places at work. Some are gangsters. We have other nations but I personally see only very few nations don’t blend well with the country. Every country have people as mentioned above but it’s more commonly we see and noticed in some cultures due to poor and no proper education. It’s unfortunate

Indians need to drop certain behaviors when they leave India and learn how to behave in the west. Maybe then, some countries may reconsider their visa formalities. Dear Palki and Firstpost channel, I appreciate this post but maybe if possible could you pls make a post/report on why some Indians are desperate to leave and most importantly the behaviour of some of our countrymen in foreign lands which gives a bad repute and leaves a bitter taste about our country in foreign lands? Shouldn't these ppl be held accountable too, especially when they are fortunate enough to have the means to visit foreign lands? I have seen first hand the way some of our ppl behave and try to twist and manipulate everything to their benefit, lacking basic respect.

The problem is fear that Indians will travel to the West and not go back. Not just Indians, but Africans, South Americans and many Asian countries do the same. I've lived in the US for 55 years. There was an Indian music troop that came to the US to perform, maybe 20 people, including singers, musicians, comedians etc. After their tour in the US, half of them did not return to India. They figured they can make a better living in the US and live here as an illegal immigrant. This is too common. The next time when a troop of musicians want a US visa, chances are the immigration office will think twice about approving a visa. I can travel anywhere with a US passport because people know that Americans will return back to the US.

Our behavior abroad is a problem: talking loud, jumping queues, no sense of personal space, eating habits (we heap our plates at the buffet, can't eat it all & throw it), lack of punctuality etc. Many hotels keep watch on our groups during the free buffet breakfast, for, we tend to surreptitiously fill our lunch boxes on the sly! We go for the cheapest options everywhere (Chinese go for expensive things). Basic manners & maybe a foreign language must be taught from childhood at schools.

In all fairness… we can’t complain. It is right of countries to allow anyone or not. Maybe India should do the same. We should infact focus on securing our porous borders where people just trickle through Bangladesh without care. Do something about that Govt of India. Would we as Indians like if our jobs were taken by a Gora in Infosys or TCS. Learn to see through with fairness and truth. Simple.

Before we cry foul about why our passport ranks low or why visas keep getting denied, maybe we should take a hard look in the mirror. Here's some eye-opening news to chew on from Canada: nearly 50K international students who got study permits to Canada decided to play hooky and never showed up at the colleges and universities they were supposed to attend. Ohh, and guess what? a whopping 20,000 of them are Indians. These folks were reported as non-compliant with their student visas, ditching the whole 'studying' part of the deal. Instead, some are busy with doing illegal jobs, while others have allegedly slipped across the border into the US illegally. But sure instead of earning the respect, let's kee p demanding for it...

I think most western countries are fed up with indian scams and calll center scams. On a daily basis people get 3-10 calls from scam indian call centers. Usa lost over 10 billion dollars to indian scammers last year. Maybe shut down those scam centers and catch those criminals and maybe western countries will start allowing more indian visas.

With all that bitterness and resentment how do you sleep at night. Or maybe you can do some actual work to better your country, to better your people, instead of ranting day in and out, that's not what journalism is about.

Maybe as we all Indians know all too well, many of our fellow citizens travel to other countries like in the West & stay they illegally - often working in their black economy. Even if caught, they destroy or hide their passports to conceal their origins & even if proven they are to be Indian, the Indian gov't refuses to take them back without their passport & other I.D documents.
