Here in India, if we fall sick even with just cough / cold, we can go to the nearest doctor and get medicines, sometimes we can even just ask the pharmaists to help us to choose some medicines for pharmasist here are half doctors.\nEven our standard of living has become so good, that we don't even feel like shifting to a new country. We have metros, good buses both AC as well as non AC, good trains, good resturaunts, hotels, what is it that we don't have here?\nIt is always better living as a first class citizen in our own country, than living like second class citizen elsewhere. The attraction and the charm of living abroad is no longer there.\nOur country has improved so much and so fast in the last 10 years, we have good bathrooms in schools and other public places, which was not there previously. Only drawback in our country is the traffic and infrastructure, which will also become better, but will take time, because of our country's population.\nIn fact you will find servants and watchmen all coming to work in a bikes or scooters, which was unthinkable some years back. Their life has changed for the better, they live in rented flats/or on lease, their children study in good schools and so on, and they dress also so well, that you cannot differentiate between them and the people they work for.\nMany of the so called advanced countries do not have many well educated people like our country, the children there are not as knowledgeabe like Indian kids, their knowledge is limited to the town they live in, they don't know anything about the world outside.\nAnd now with the Khalistani terrorist living freely there it is all the more dangerous. And on top of it, it is a country ruled by a dumb Prime Minister, who has to give asylums to all good for nothing, ( and all only for votes) uneducated people whose only job is to sell drugs to kids and indulge in terrorism and threaten people.\nGood thing, you have come back, for there is nothing like sweet home.

What is going on in the world? The U S and Canada seeing tents pitched up on the streets of what were some of the finest cities in the world. Something is very wrong. I grew up on blue-collar modest means. We were happy to celebrate life. My family members weren't educated, and we had real domestic family problems as so many do. Many of these sikh politicians sadly themselves are involved in drug, own illegal abortion centres and labs, and even coaching centres to send students to canada on fake letters in exchange for a lot of money...\nI want to tell the youth, There is a lot of good opportunity in India. I know Punjab doesnt have much as of now (hope someday one of us can take our experience and setup a startup hub there), but other cities like Pune, Hyd, Bangalore, Mum, Chennai etc are good and once you have a stable job, its quite satisfying. Punjabis especially Sikhs are also loved everywhere by common people. Please dont spend your money on fake asylum letters and Canadian Dreams without thinking and planning.

I married my spouse and moved to the United States from Canada. Before, I didn't give the US much thought and merely loved travelling to a few of the locations. Having said that, even after spending five years there, I have never witnessed a country and a population as divided as the US. You proudly display your flag, yet you're so racist, illiterate, and a bible-thumper that it disgusts me. The United States is not the most free country in the world, despite what the public believes and thinks. In reality, it is also depressing to observe how the healthcare system handles people. The social safety net is completely missing, and by that I mean that most jobs don't pay for maternity leaves or vacations unless you work at a senior level or for a high-end company. The political system is so rigged that it is understandable why people are tired of voting every two years, and perhaps even every year. Most certainly, especially since your elections begin almost exactly when the previous one finished. I suppose I could go on forever, but I'll stop here. Although Canada is not perfect, is not free from controversy or problems, and is not the best at everything, we are able to concede defeat, acknowledge that someone was wrong or that we might have done better, work together with one another, and express that we are SORRY. Yes, it is a word that is never used in the US, and that is also the issue. I'm pleased to be back in Canada, where I belong, and I regret ever leaving. Yes, returning to Canada feels peaceful and inviting compared to travelling to the US, where every trip involves an interrogation to ensure that you don't remain too long. There is no need to worry because I won't be returning to stay, only visit, as previously.

Canada is objectively better in terms of legal employment protections, unemployment insurance and healthcare, even though it's second-rate when you take into account waiting times etc. Our public education system is hands down better, even with it's woke issues. If you have never been to, or lived in Canada, you have no right making this video. Life in Nigeria is only decent for those living affluently in Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, certain areas of Ikeja and Abuja. Outside of that, life for everyday Nigerians is crap. Water & electricity (NEPA) are highly unreliable & intermittent, so fuel-powered generators are a necessity for living everyday life per household or per apartment in apartment complexes. The banking & government systems are notoriously sluggish, taking weeks and months to process simple paperwork such as drivers licenses, passports, certificates, banking transaction reversals, you name it. Bribery is a daily occurrence EVERYWHERE. Police (if you can call them that, mostly untrained thugs) detain & extort motorists and/or people innocently going about their daily lives, just for the money. Many many many people disappear mysteriously without ever being seen again by family or friends. Lots of inter-racial discrimination and animosity between the three major tribes that make up Nigeria… Yoruba, Igbo & Hausa-Fulani. The federal & state governments are horribly corrupt, bordering on dictatorship. Elections are undemocratic, to say the least, with thugs threatening voters at voting booths. I could go on?\n\nThis is why many Nigerians with any amount of wealth live in diaspora, whether that be the UK, Canada, the USA, Europe, or wherever. And, yeah, be prepared for everything being structured & organized in these countries, especially in North America. The cost of living is definitely higher to pay for a higher quality of living. That’s the difference between a developed country vs a country, such as Nigeria, that’s developing or considered ‘third-world’. I’m a bit late to this discussion but I agree with the 99.9% of other responses. Although, I have enjoyed trips to beautiful areas of the US, & live close to the border where a day trip was a common occurrence. I now hesitate to even travel there as I do worry about gun violence, racism & honestly cannot understand the cult of followers who would even consider voting for an incompetent, narcissistic criminal to lead their country…. it’s mind blowing! You are desensitized regarding violence/school shootings… choose where you live? What’s the guarantee that this couldn’t happen anywhere in the US, even rural areas? On the topic of living in Canada, it’s beautiful with lots of country to see/enjoy from west coast to the east coast & we have healthcare, a government (although not perfect) elected by & working for the people. I’m proud to be Canadian, wouldn’t move for anything! We’re your neighbour but as it happens sometimes we just can’t believe what’s going on next door.

My company just initiated my i140 application which will take around 3 yrs to complete then the wait for GC will start for 15yrs (for Indians only). During this time we are at the employers mercy. We do get high salaries. But we are in a perpetually limbo. Its hard to find a spouse, start a family or invest in property as your future here is uncertain. \n\nThe H1B lottery system was introduced to keep the selection fair, as there are limited number of applications accepted each year. Hence it is a gamble for immigrants wanting to come here to study and work. The chance of getting H1B is almost 50/50. H1B visa is a temporary work visa, it was designed to be applicable for 3-4yrs until one gets the GC. But because of GC country backlog folks are on it for 15-20yrs.\n\nThe Greencard country limits were introduced in 2009 as the US government felt they needed diversity in the country. They were scared that US will be filled with Indians and Chinese immigrants. Hence the country caps on each country on GC. So if one is born in Nepal, Sri Lanka or Pakistan they get their GC within 1-3 yrs. Where as Indians need to wait 15-20yrs. But here is the wired part, they only consider the country of birth NOT citizenship. Ex: My friend was born in Oman and was raised in India, he is Indian and has Indian citizenship. He got his GC in 1 yr. \n\nThese H1B policies are not a priority to the US government as H1B folks do not have voting rights. They do not have any incentives to change the legacy policies. My American husband and I moved to Los Angeles from Montreal, because of the fact there was still a lot of live music compared to other places. It was a great 17 years of music but guns started to be more of an issue. Health care was big, and was going to affect us soon, and then tRUmp came in . We knew that the changes were NOT going to be for better health care, or better gun laws, or better immigration policies, and we moved back to Canada. Now we don't even want to visit because of the current situation re all the aforementioned issues. I wouldn't dream of moving back. And numerous friends have asked how can they get into Canada.The Canadian immigration site crashed when tRump won. if not married to a Canadian, most people would be rejected. i appreciate our system of government; tRump would have been tossed out early on with a Vote of No Confidence.

As a Canadian I’d prefer my country adopted America’s approach to immigration, and I’m not alone.\n\nAs someone who has only ever voted Liberal or NDP, I’m likely to vote for the People’s Party Canada in the next election over the issue of immigration.\n\nIt’s as if you believe that both Canada and the US only exist to take Indian immigrants.\n\nNo H1B visa holder in the US is going to leave and come here lol. 8:15 there’s a reason for this. It’s a melting pot in America. Bringing all these different cultures together… but if too many from one country show up, they’ll make a community too large that they don’t need to melt with the population. There are Chinatowns and Little Italys and whole Mexican communities, but ultimately everyone has to interact with everyone else. Allowing 300,000 Indians to get green cards every year and only 1,000 Norwegians would lead to the Norwegians merging well with the country, while the Indians would all move to one or two cities and make entire sections of the cities like small versions of their own country. Which is the last thing we want. Once an immigrant community gets enough power to be a voting block, things are scary, but once it has enough power that they start getting their own representatives and passing laws for the rest of us? Laws the look like laws they had back in their own countries… that led them to run from their countries in the first place? It’s a concern. We want people to adapt to the USA and not try to adapt the USA to them. Over time, the US does change due to the growing voting blocs. But that’s after generations of those immigrant populations getting larger, and their children being born and raised in the country they’ve adapted to. When I see a protest of Muslim immigrants burning pride flags, or Chinese and Spanish-speaking Hispanic immigrants who never bothered to learn English, I see problems with our immigration system. But the kids of the Arab immigrants will be more tolerant, and the Hispanic kids will have grown up in American schools. Most Chinese-American kids might speak some Chinese at home with their parents, but they’re worse at it, and their first language is English. It takes second Generation immigrants to really start meshing with America. But if entire school districts are all Indian, and every store, restaurant, and business in a whole town is Indian, then those kids won’t adapt to America. They won’t get bits of their home culture from their time at home and with their neighbors, while also getting bits of American culture from their classmates and other people around them. Nope. They’ll only be exposed to the first Generation who completely took over the area- IF, we allowed for unfettered immigration from the largest countries. It’s a fact that immigrant communities like to stick together. But if not enough people are in that community that you need to reach out to others around you, it helps expose you to the rest of America… Anyway! There are a ton of shows that indirectly show this phenomena. Fresh Off the Boat. The Sopranos. Even Brooklyn 99. We see as traditional and hard-to-adapt parents have to deal with kids in the next generation who are more American, don’t follow the same customs and traditions as their parents, and overall just left more of their old culture behind. No one is asking that immigrants abandon their cultural ties, but if you come to America, there are things that people need to change and accept if they’re going to live here.

I can’t thank you enough. No one here understands nor wants to acknowledge the struggle or repercussions. And I also understand that skilled immigrant problems doesn’t matter to any citizen. Some things to factor in - 1). American immigrants become citizens. This isn't true for almost any of these other countries. 2). American immigrants are disproportionately low skill. This is true in plenty of these countries. 3). American immigrants disproportionately come from the same cultural sphere, which makes their size more intimidating. 4). A second generation immigrant is not considered an immigrant. These countries just began allowing mass immigration. Americans have been allowing mass immigration all of our history. Including second generation immigrants, you have an immigrant population closer to 35% of the US population, true or false? And more than half of them have the right to vote, to fundamentally alter our nation. \nThere's also no way Americans believe that more than half of the country are immigrants. Almost all immigrants in the US live in a few specific regions. Most Americans see very few immigrants throughout the year. Perhaps, it was offset by the number of Americans surveyed who do live in those specific regions. Surveys tend to prioritize diversity and weigh the opinions of particular groups differently. If they tended to call urban area codes more often, and weighed the votes in proportion to size of the population that each group makes up, then the people saying 50% in say New York or Washington state, which represent many different groups will offset the people saying 5% in Kansas, which are all getting grouped into the older, Whiter cohorts. Most Americans under 18 are non-White. \nOnly 15% of Americans under 18 should be non-White, if America were an ethnically stable nation. Thus, 38% of Americans are recent (post 1970s) immigrants.

Definitely a Hell No to moving the US. Americans either identify as Democrat or Republican. They make a political party part of their personality and blindly vote for that party every election regardless of how corrupt their politicians are. I used to enjoy visiting the US as a kid, but it has become so crazy that I have zero interest in visiting it now.

Also, count me as a no vote on moving south. Every time I've visited, I've found that the urban decay made me sad and a little bit scared.

Lived in Canada while working in the US for almost 20 years. Sadly although I had many friends I was often shocked by the attitudes of my colleagues. They almost all looked at other countries as inferior. Racism is absolutely a thing .There was no curiosity about other cultures. I knew people that died because of their hesitation to seek health care. The school shootings, although maybe they don’t happen ‘all’ the time there seems to be no desire to fix that. The US is going the wrong way regarding voting rights. My town actually sends out extra busses if you need a ride to vote. The support of the LGBTQ community and women’s rights are also problematic. US is good if you want to get yours but I personally don’t want to take two, when others aren’t even getting one. I am happily no longer working in the states.

The problem with Canada's economy is simple. The problem even has a name, which is Justin Trudeau. I want to clarify something a lot of Canadians get wrong: Biggest bank of Canada is actually Desjardins but it is not controlled by OSFI because back 1995 everyone knew Québec was going to seperate from Canada. It got the approval from Canada, the support and recognition from multiple UN countries so Canada went ahead and did all the paper work in advance to prepare Québec for independence and because Québec was to keep using Canadian dollars, Desjardins the biggest bank in Québec became allowed to print its own Canadian cash... I've worked with a lot of people who have moved to the US for work. It's a very compatible place for Canadians to go. The culture is very similar. People move for work pretty seamlessly. I lot of older canadians go to the southern US for 6 months a year for the weather but maintain their canadian citizenship for he medical coverage. \n\nThe COVID mess where twice as many US citizens per capita died compared to Canadians was a bit of a downer. I think the US has beautiful countryside and wonderful scenery and many lovely people, however, because of the divisiveness of the Republicans and the MAGA/Trump/NRA group which has caused such chaos and violence throughout the States during the past decade things in the US have gone downhill extremely quickly. The number one reason Children in the US are dying from is bullets - not accidents or diseases. That is a terrible statistic and the Republicans are doing absolutely nothing to stop it - prayer doesn’t stop bullets. \nAs a Canadian I used to travel to the US as a tourist but I no longer feel safe going there and will no longer go across the border. Florida seems to have implemented the worst political policies ever in its history and I believe it’s economy is going to absolutely crash. \nIf the States votes Republican in the election it’s going to be in its absolute worst possible political, global, financial, economic, and humanitarian position in its history. It will be a critical crisis for the country….

It seems to me Canadians know more about US history past and present, your politics, religious zealots, bigotry, racism, the list goes on. By the way the number one cause of death for children in the US is guns you might want to explore that.
