Why can't families sponser families or people? Like the Foriegn Exchange Student program? Had a kid selling books here tonight from Estonia, really. I had a mass interview today for preschool education at a new migrant facility. Bible belt Kentucky. I have no Fears like the leftovers claim. I have priorities. I'm a single mom with 6 dependants and 7 chronic illnesses and a bleeding ❤️ for all in need. American citizens should be given first priority. Get off welfare and donate it to an immigrant. Or share your home, work, salary. Put your $$$ where your mouth is. I've worked all these places. There aren't enough helpers, just a bunch of talkers.

Why would Canadians welcome someone who was in our neighboring country illegally here. He also committed a crime to enter Canada. Not only that but he knows the system well enough how to avoid being deported after his asylum status was denied. Jumping between provinces and hiding with other family members is criminal. Not only should he and his immediate family be deported but also his family in BC who hid him. Our Prime Minister is a joke. We need Trump in Canada.

I’m not Canadian, so I don’t have as much of an understanding of their process; however, much like in the U.S., you have to have a legitimate and compelling reason to seek asylum, for example, those escaping a literal war in Syria where death was imminent. Not that I don’t have compassion for this man wanting to better his life and that of his family, but seeking asylum from El Salvador because they have a lackluster economy, crime and violence (while a good enough reason to relocate elsewhere) isn’t a case for asylum. *shrug* Asylum is meant for exigencies, emergencies, imminent danger, which doesn’t look like it applies here. My guess is this man thought seeking asylum would be a way to go around needing expensive documents to do a standard immigration and the process flopped on him.

The guy is able-bodied and willing to work for a living! For god’s sake let him stay and contribute to our society! These are exactly the types of immigrants we need in Canada. He’ll pick up English at the job site and watching TV soon enough. As long as you’re willing to work hard and not a religious nut-ball, you’re ok with me.

Trudeau is a weak leader. He showed he is unable to put his emotions aside long enough to make a rational decision based on what's best for his country and immigrants/refugees. Then he had to back-track, but not until he had caused additional and unnecessary hardship. This shows his lack of maturity which to me, makes him an unfit leader. Leaders need to have the intestinal fortitude to make tough decisions based on projected consequences, even it means his numbers take a temporary dive in the polls. \n\nTrudeau obviously views compassion as a positive trait and it is, but only when balanced by wisdom. Otherwise, it leaves a person open to being reactionary, rather than proactive. Compassion applied unwisely leads to its opposite which is cruelty as was demonstrated as the outcome in this video. If Trudeau was really compassionate he would not have spoken in a way that gave false hope.

It’s amazing how much I can relate. I’m white, so why should I, right? But when Stacey Mackenzie’s voice cracked, I knew why. I’m a Newfoundlander, we are made fun of too, we are looked down on too. My ancestors were flogged, but there’s no picture was of them. My ancestors we left to starve because they owed so much to the merchant, the didn’t deserve a barrel of molasses. They didn’t catch enough fish that summer to pay for the debts they incurred the year before. Nobody even knows why the debt they incurred wasn’t their fault. I’m not trying to diminish the history of my black brothers and sisters here, I want to know more of that history. But, you need to learn the meaning of the word “merchant”, if you think bigotry is based on race. Yes, bigotry based on race is wrong. But it’s not the only kind of bigotry.

Oh hell no. Honestly I am a Canadian and enough is enough we have way too many people on welfare or can't find jobs and we are too busy letting more nd more immigrants into this country. Yes, I know we are all immigrants but come one we need to draw a line somewhere and stop immigration until we fix our problems that already exist like lack of jobs and funding.

If they've got nothing were does the money cum from to pay traffickers and were do they think they're all going to go Europe cannot take in every single one of these people and shudnt have or be expected too it just can't be done no room for them not enough money to support them which is wot most of them want we have our own problems to sort and our own people in need of help before we even consider helping others and besides we give enough in foreign aid every year were does that go if it was going to help these places they wudnt cum here why are we going without to pay billions to help other people in other countries it shud be coming here cos it's not helping them as far as I can see

All Muslim woman can fellow any man to satisfied their lust and sex urge otherwise they not allow to enter heaven with Allah that's why they cover completely to avoid get caught for adultery act. In Islam woman not enough for man need because man consume more woman than any other religion.Those man no woman they can commit adultery with married woman that why they cover head to toe so that they cannot get caught and also not to stir emotions among the husband and their families.

I can't understand that why we need any religion with us ? honesty bravely kindness n cleanliness r enough to live life ... my personal opinion .

They come to our country and refuse to accept our cultural beliefs one is that anyone covering their nose & mouth we see as a threat. Covering your face is done to hide your identity when committing a crime. That is our cultural belief, and they need to respect it.\nHow can I trust anyone wearing 'a rag top & face covering; and off topic even a hoodie. \n\nSorry, but in a free country we do have the rules that allow us to ban certain items of clothing worn on the street. Men & women are not allowed to wear a T-shirt, shoes, and as simple belt exposing mother nature's reproductive organs. Why? We are a free country after all. It is because that manner of dress offends the majority. Na jabs offend the majority of Westerners in our culture, this new land they NEED to adopt to as we would need to adopt to their culture should we move to the Middle East.\n\nFrankly, if they can not adapt, they should be refused a VISA or work permit as they are a threat to our culture. This is bullshit. One year ago only conservatives were anti Muslim. The Syrian refugees were a election topic here. I was silly and said we MUST let some in to save them. Now that I have met one and he is the janitor of my building and according to HIM .. I must now follow HIS religious laws. SO .. Itès easy to be or not be a bigot when they are4 in need of life saving .. Thing is .. IF you are stupid enough to do it .. They need to get the hell out of our country. This is not an Islamic country, if they want to live by Sharia law then let them go and live in a country that does support it. We have English law and it's good enough for English people
