The problem is fear that Indians will travel to the West and not go back. Not just Indians, but Africans, South Americans and many Asian countries do the same. I've lived in the US for 55 years. There was an Indian music troop that came to the US to perform, maybe 20 people, including singers, musicians, comedians etc. After their tour in the US, half of them did not return to India. They figured they can make a better living in the US and live here as an illegal immigrant. This is too common. The next time when a troop of musicians want a US visa, chances are the immigration office will think twice about approving a visa. I can travel anywhere with a US passport because people know that Americans will return back to the US.

The reason for Indian visa being in the 81st rank is the number of people who want to migrate....other countries cannot allow lakhs of Indians who wish to relocate to their country....on the other hand, countries like Kosovo or Burkina Faso are tiny countries by population and have a very low rate of migration to other countries....Indian large-scale migration can be seen as a threat by other countries....

I live in Canada. A citizen now, love this country but India is and will always be a home. Canada is facing hard times currently, which is being faced by every country now and then but even the cause root of all these problems Canada is facing right now is coming from somehow from India. The most disruptive and disturbing people are here from India only with no civic sense. They come here and do not value the Canadian culture at all. They do all sort of illegal activities and try to do jugaad in everything, from which we escaped from India. Even on political grounds, the man who somehow messed up everything was under the influence and pressure of the man having Indian roots. I love India without a doubt but we can’t deny the real facts why Indians are being hated everywhere. People in my community here ( whites, First Nations, old Indians) love me and my family because they know how we respect the culture and values and laws of Canada. But there, where people don’t know us personally, we get judgemental eyes because of our colour and we know why, it’s not all of us, but still majority of us have destroyed the image of India and yes Indians deserve to be banned now. Sorry as a British born Indian I must say this when Indians from the motherland come it pushes down the salary we natives get as big companies pay Indians from India less than natives. These students came for an education. You accepted the terms of that student visa and should thereby adhere to those terms. Many countries do offer jobs to international students who excel in their studies if there are available positions in that field that Canadians can not fill. It is Indian recruiters who have sold the residency idea both in India and Canada. It is these recruters that teach them how to defraud our systems and take your money. If you think about it, how many successful companies hire people with strip mall college certificates in high paying jobs.\n\nWho they should be protesting against are their recruiters who sold them this illusion, not our government. I first want to address the rumour about human feces and dirty diapers being found on Canadian beaches, and I want to stand up for the people who called out Indians for doing this. Somebody saw something. Maybe they weren't able to produce any legal proof of it, but they clearly saw something, and there is nothing racist about them calling out this behaviour. This practice is not only unhygienic. It is ILLEGAL in Canada; so, it absolutely should be called out publicly to prevent it from ever happening again. I have seen many videos about the culture of mass open defection in India. The videos I saw were posted by Indians themselves. One of those videos was a TEDx talk done by a woman named Sangita Vyas who discussed the truth about open defecation and that it is not limited to only the poor population. Even people who can afford to build latrines are not using them, and she explains why after interviewing Indians to ask why. I've watched Indian doctors talk online about how many Indian children die from something as simple as diarrhea every year as a direct result of the water contamination caused by open defecation. So, clearly, open defecation is legal in India, and perhaps some of these people think if it's legal at home then it must also be legal elsewhere. WRONG. It's illegal in Canada. It's unhygienic. It should never happen. Period. And there is NOTHING racist about a Canadian saying this out loud and reminding people that they must follow the rules and laws of the country they are in.

I was born and raised in brampton. I am now 41 years old. When i was 20 i remember when the indians started to come into brampton they were taking our jobs because they would work for minium wage without benefits. Then they stated to buy the houses and bring in their families they had like 10 to 20 people living in one house, so only needing to work for minium wage they were able to purchase the houses faster. Then the stores started opening up and theis is when i left.
