Salary are low (while cost of living is skyrocketing), which is why we have so many Canadians and immigrants who are becoming so anxious, depressed and facing all sorts of mental problems), people are moody, quality of life is decreasing and transport is trash compared to France and the lack for doctors is making this country look like a third world\nEconomy!!! Even Canadians are happy to leave this place (poor weather, lousy healthcare, lousy retirement compared to places like France, lousy transportation compared to most of Europe, worse mental health services than Europe, people are too serious and take things so seriously compared to the French) and honestly, we think of leaving it too for another country.. that you can trust me! (My 2 younger sisters are actually leaving and makes plans to leave Canada behind for good to immigrate elsewhere and my older brother plans to relocate to a warmer country.\n.. and NO!! I am not going to buy a 1 million dollar house in Vancouver or Toronto at the expense of my well being!!! It ain’t worth it no more!!! Better buy a place in Europe.. like France or Portugal!!!! Who on Earth would want to live here? We are such a depressing and failing culture and society. We have placed ourselves in a situation where nothing properly can grow here. Canada will get far more depressing over the next decades. I tell people all the time don't come here, you'll pay more than money for coming here. And I tell people, who are able, to leave. Find a better place to call home. Canada can't be home to people. Not with how we are easily dislodged, displaced and how everything around us is on fire and burning down. \n\nDon't come to Canada unless you're suicidal and want to die, or you happen to be super rich and you can make it. \n\nCanada will be losing many many Canadians in the future. Most indian old people ( parents of young people working in Canada or USA) who live there with their children are bereft of any idea to make their individual life any better. I found none with any hobbies. They treat themselves as deadwood and complain they can't do this and that. They can't gossip ? that is their problem. None of them read, write, paint, play music, garden, create any handicraft. They cook, clean the house and wait for their tired children to come home from work and complain They are bored. Just because they hate their own company. I'm 72 and I enjoy my annual long trips to Canada. 24 hours is not enough for me. My 70 years old wife and I remodeled our daughters house on our last trip. Before that was creating a new garden. Our canadian friends wait for us to cook or bake with us. \nI don't understand what these people are complaining about ? Here in New Zealand, I've met quite a few British and Americans living here as well (my partner is American) but recently, I've also started seeing more Canadians coming here.\n\nTypically with British people living here, they say they move to New Zealand because of better pay, better ability to or chances of buying a house (housing here in NZ is already very expensive as is but okay), warmer weather and NZ being less crowded.\n\nA few Americans living here did say they've moved here because they married a Kiwi or they work in the film industry, but most of them say because of New Zealand's free universal healthcare, the fact we have maternity leave and better workers rights than the States.\n \nI never really expected Canada to have the same social issues as that of the USA or UK.

Again I never heard of the solution DORMSSSSSS! Canada dont need too many small colleges, just few in strategic areas where everyone will have access. These schools, they can accept international student but!!! They should have capacity to accommodate like having a dorrrmmmmm for the school. Im mad about this bc in SKorea, where I exchage, they have dorms, here in Canada, you have to find it yourself. We also get our food in the cafeteria which is healthier and have mang options. That 2 alone are solutions itself. You have your money, you refrain us from affecting your inflation so much, we are comfortable and safe and can build better community and many new friends while studying here. The rent could also be used by the schools for scholarship to locals than the rent going to the hands of greedy real estate investors. And now the Canadians are blaming us alone for the housing market? Blame the greedy government and schools!

We have to make it affordable for existing Canadian citizens to have children. Free post secondary, Free daycare, Better healthcare, better CPP.....we can pay for all of this by eliminating corporate welfare, and making sure everyone pays their FAIR share of of the taxes.

Where are you guys moving to? There are some pretty bad Muslim countries? Move to any large Canadian city. You can pray openly. If you don't like snow, move to Vancouver. Good luck finding a better country.

I'm an immigrant and my immigrant friends and I were talking about exactly this just the other day. I'd like to add some context on why so few international students stay: they can't. Schools prey on this very fact. In international recruiting, these schools use the promise of thriving local industries and trot out graduates working locally as major draws to these expensive programs. Then once students are in Canada, many of these schools couldn't care less: they offer little or sometimes no housing support, no immigration advice (or in my case and many of my friends' cases: they give straight-up false immigration advice that can screw you over or even get you in trouble). There absolutely needs to be regulation and accountability for these predatory schools; I think a good starting point would be capping the number of visas they can apply for based on the number of housing units available (either on-campus or via local development subsidy and homestays). Tons of students come to Canada completely unprepared due to false promises made by these schools, and then get spit out into an egregiously inefficient and broken work visa system.\nMy immigrant friends and I are all highly skilled in our specific field. There are only a handful of people in the world (let alone in Canada) who can do what I do at the level I do it, so I would be incredibly difficult to replace if I left Canada. Despite that, and despite being Canadian-educated (Canadian resources invested in me that you'd want to keep in Canada), remaining in Canada has been a massive struggle for me and my friends. We individually spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars every year to apply for permits that have to be renewed annually, but take the government 6+ months to process. Because the government is so backed up, we have to apply for *extra* permits to bridge that gap (more money, and more work added to IRCC's already-long line of applications). I'm in limbo for the majority of the year where I can't switch employers, can't leave the country, etc. It's horrible. \nBut I have it better than most. Of the international students in my year, only I and one other student are still in Canada because the transition to work permits is so needlessly long and difficult. Even a graduate who does manage to get a work permit might have to sit unemployed for 6 months or more before that permit is active. How is a student supposed to survive without work for that long? In order for employers to even apply to sponsor a graduate, they often have to do a lengthy labor market impact assessment, and so these graduates are stuck in a holding pattern, and they're the lucky ones. Immigration is absolutely vital to Canada and I hate how quickly these stories turn to xenophobic rhetoric, but we have to make space in the conversation to take a look at how schools are exploiting students and policy loopholes, and why they're doing it, and address those problems. The current system isn't fair to anyone.

As a Canadian I would advise not to move to Cnada right now. Hopefully with a change in government things will get better but for now just say NO.

As an international student from India at a top university with a scholarship, I found it quite odd when I go to the Tim Hortons near McgIll or literally any food shop in Toronto and found talking to the guy/girl taking the order in Hindi. I am like bruh wtf I went from India to mini India, wasnt studying abroad supposed to be a difficult prospect. The senseless immigration that happens through diploma farms, that only increase the population of unskilled immigrants needs to stop. Like Canadian healthcare is on the verge of collapse, cuz u dont have enough doctors yet you want 200,000 more TimHortons workers from Punjab. I do not understand this policy. \n\nI also question the impeccable brain power of the Indians who leave the comfort of their family and home (which imo has massively better healthcare system) to come here and then live a life of hardship due to not having proper education or just not having enough money.

Trudeau has systematically destroyed every aspect of Canadian life over the past 8 years. I feel badly for immigrants that have come here to make a better life, being very disappointed with the reality of life in Canada with its high inflation, high taxes, high crime rates, a compromised judicial system and poor healthcare. Many of us that were born and raised here are also looking to leave. It's shocking how far this country has fallen in 8 years and there's no sign that this government will change course anytime soon.

95% of Master Decrees graduates from international students are applying for jobs at MacDonald, Tim Hortons, private restaurants, 7 11, Dollarama, pizza shops, Safe way, Walmart, and private security guards. Does Canada have better jobs for them or aren't they qualify for Canadian requirements?

A fair amount I have met have completed their degrees but are staying here in order to obtain Canadian Citizenship and of course our passport. Many of them will then leave here but they will be carrying a passport which is still usually well regarded abroad.\n\nEither that or they stay here and import the rest of their family, where they can continue to live as if they were still in their country of origin, but in better conditions. Why is this allowed to happen? Never compare a country with another. We are all educated immigrants who decided to immigrate over to Canada. Immigration should be paused 100% until life of all CANADIANS is back to levels it once used to be ( 80s, 90s, early 2000s )...in fact it should be BETTER and MORE affordable. Canada is ruining the lives of its own citizens and giving hand outs to foreigners who often come here to use and abuse the systems CANADIANS pay toward. It is essentially treason - what has happened to Canada and Canadians by the Liberals and past holders of power.

Meanwhile, my honours student Uni grad niece couldn't even get a spot into Teacher's college at the local institution she graduated from and worked in the research lab. This wouldv'e allowed her to remain living at home, saving thousands and thousands of dollars mind you, because there were so many international students accepted. So, she had to move several hours away (to a far better Uni imho), incur the expenses and live with strangers instead. Local kids getting treated as 2nd class to internationals, clearly. So then, the foreign student heads back home shiny new Canadian degree in hand, and who benefits? Not Canada, for damn sure. And don't get me started on how we have to relax standards in the medical profession to bring in foreign trained doctors and nurses to mitigate our own short comings in relation to capacity.

Canada has become so corrupt. It's also known Canada has become a haven for money laundering and all kinds of schemes like that. These colleges have turned into diploma mills. Their diplomas have no real value anymore. They are churned out solely because of money and it's flooding the market as well. \nHow is this allowed? \nCan you imagine how many Canadian Citizens are DYING because they have to fight against millions of new International students and new coming immigrants each year for a hospital spot.\nWait times at ER as exploded. Tons of new cases where Canadians died waiting for emergency help. One would think with all the money the Canadian Government has provided the CBC last year (1.3 billion CND by their own admission), they could do a better job of the quality of audio production of this video. Well Canadians better support Canadian universities depending on foreign students instead of building residences

think about it , up to 90% of the school funding come from international student. Without them , I cannot imagine if local student can afford the tuition. If schools can still hire the best professors. And how many people may loss their job. Why can’t we think of education industry just like any other pillar economic sector similar to finance, manufacturing. The only thing we need to solve is housing. Just build more dorms and take in more students and make canadian economy better

I went to Conestoga college, and I wish your mon read my words. Canadians, should consider that international students are paying around 20k yearly to Canada Colleges institutions that are not offering better education than the one provided in their own countries for way less than 30k. Other developed countries, like Germany or Belgium offer the same programs to international students for around 8k yearly, but, the international students rather come to Canada which also offer an easier path to become PR. But then, they crash with the reality and they realize that even many Indians can't speak proper English to be competitive in a Canadian College or in a Canadian company. Unfortunately, Canadians educational institutions know that the English spoken by international students is not enough but, they send them an acceptance letter from the institution so they can come and study in Canada. So, the real problem are the Canadian public colleges and Universities accepting people with a poor English level from overseas. Canada is a great place to be but, this kind of actions make their productivity poor which is in reality the problem behind the bad economy development when compare with similar developed countries. So, your mon should first blame its own country policies and educational institutions rather than international students for that kind of behaviors when they are students. Also, you should put your self in their shoes, learn German and go to Germany and see how easy is to manage to get a waitress job only in German in a city like Cologne. And then remember that this international students are bringing 20k from their countries economy to Canada each one yearly. Know, think how many Canadians bring 20k yearly to India or Nepal... I'm only halfway through but feel I need to comment and well I'm not exactly a new Canadian. But I was born the but grew up in New Zealand. And well why not . I moved over there in 2014 with full rights as a citizen. My trade wasn't recognised. Canada has its own rules about everything. You need to have training to pour drinks in a bar wtf.! But yea I came wanting a better life and well thankfully I wound up in Calgary so eventually I had the money to leave. And come home where know having seen the Canadian shit show I'm killing it here. As a once proud Canadian who served in the forces for 21 years, I no longer feel that way. This country has lost it's way and is not getting any better, now at 65 years of age am also thinking about leaving this country for good.

My parents immigrated from Britain in the 1959s after WWII and built a comfortable life! At 72 I live a relatively comfortable life although I have spent all my savings and I currently rent! I lived in Spain with my much younger Colombian wife who passed away in 2019. My pension income is sufficient for me to live since I returned to Canada and I have better than adequate healthcare and dental care! I'm Canadian and recently got back from spending time in Phoenix. I'm still shocked at how much better everything is down there. From the prices, the weather, the housing, the jobs, the people. I miss it and want to live there someday.

Conclusion: Marry a super rich Canadian man or woman in Toronto. Americans used to hear only great things about Toronto over the past fifty years and how Toronto was so much better than a lot of run-down, economically depressed, high-crime American cities. I'm Australian and moved to Canada on a WH. My standard of living was lower, I was paid less for the same job I worked in Australia, the benefits that Canadian workers get aren't as generous as in Australia and there isn't as much protection for workers. All in all a disappointing move and I ended up high tailing it back to Australia well before my Visa even expired This was before Covid though so not sure if things have gotten better or worse.

I wish others that think like you would also move. Please leave and give up your Canadian Citizenship. The sooner you leave the better it is for Canada.
