It is totally about too much population and a failed idea of exponential growth ,more and more people is a joke on us Canadians that does not work for anyone except bankers .We have to stop further immigration ,get it together and build .there is no more room in zToronto or Vancouver .send the immigrants to Regina and Saskatoon where the is room and like my Ukrainian grandparents were send in the 1930 to develop the land and serve a purpose to Canadas further development and future .The current immigration policies are a failed joke ,on us .

Why? Because it is current date...

We have exactly the same thing happening here in Australia, and the World Bank remittance figures for last financial year have just been released. Net CASH OUT OF AUSTRALIA FROM INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WAS A RECORD $10.6 BILLION OUT OF THE COUNTRY. From 736,000 international students currently here. They pro ide absolutely no benefit to the country except for the wealthy land owners and politicians working hand in hand with multinationals all to reduce wage growth and remove the middle class.

Your government simply hands over citizenship to illegal immigrants for a vote bank. Maybe you should start by choosing someone wise, while you are still in majority, which under current circumstances isn’t gonna be for long?‍↕️??

Rampant uncontrolled immigration (mostly from India) has directly affected housing, inflation and healthcare in Canada making life more difficult for Canadians, if you cannot see that and make the correlation by this point, you should really not be voting, as you’re likely one of the people contributing to the problem the Canadian economy currently finds itself in \n\nsupply and demand is a basic concept, one which most liberal voters and left leaning media stations really don’t understand

Trudeau’s Canada. Rem next time you vote. Immigration at this stage for USA and Canada needs to be a strict process and controlled. The days of unlimited immigration are over. But the process needs to respect the rich history of immigration. A tough situation the current leaders for both countries have proven they can’t handle.

As an immigrant, I believe that the current racial structure of immigrants has destroyed the original structure of Canadian society. In addition, I support economic immigrants who can create and bring consumption and wealth to Canada, and the number of refugees needs to be controlled based on the capacity of Canada’s welfare institutions， shouldnt be unlimited，is crazy.

I like multiculturalism and this country is founded on immigration. But we need to put cap on each country when receiving them so to maintain the balance of good mix.\n\nI get bothered why this guy statistically divide white vs others. In the end this land belongs to the indigenous people none of us. \n\nAnyways, most of my friends from Western Europe, Japan, Korea and Singapore - first world nations, have already moved back after couple of years of living here. Aa a dual citizen myself, I plan on retiring in my other country.\n\nThis country has to realize if they receive massive influx of people- they need to invest and build more infrastructure. Look at Gardiner- it's constantly on construction mode. Hire more surgeons and make better family doctor system. This government only legalized marijuana and brought more problems. We used to live near Trinity bellwood and the park is now filled with used needles. \n\nAs for homelessness, it's always been there and it got worse during economic depression (2008 mortgage crisis) and current prime rate/inflation situation. Even if you study stats from government subsidized housing, most immigrants work and get out of help but the old immigrants (whites) usually don't flip out of the situation for generations. So there is no reason to tie and blame the Indians for our old problem of homeless population. Stay on point and stop tying it down with non-related issues.

Canada is precious. It's precious not for its crowded cities or the crime and addiction that you find on the streets of those cities. It's precious for its mountains and valleys. It's precious for its space. And its resources that you'll find there. The (current) government will have you believe that they care about these things, too. \nI care little of where immigrants are coming from. I care little of the politics of their countries. I care little of skin. I care about merit. What can you do for Canada. Will you just take up space...

This is happening around the world. There must be a common theme, no? The war waged in the Middle East by the US military agenda started this. The madness they unleashed there removing leaders which created a terror vacuum that installed fanatical groups in leadership positions. So I have suggestions for improvement for both India and Canada \nIndia - Population control bill needed now, strict implementation of anti corruption laws on all whether bureaucrats or politicians, improvement in education at all levels (skill enhancement).\nCanada - A better leadership needed. Trudeau failed miserably. Canada needs to start making it's own stuff now i.e. focus on manufacturing industries and increase in exports, can't rely on US for everything. Pvt players to be introduced in healthcare to lessen the burden of public healthcare. Housing needs better regulations now. And immigration should be merit based (current point system is not bad) but don't give it to everybody like they did during Covid time. Everybody was granted PR despite very low CRS score. And avoid more refugees.

Let's be clear here, it started many years ago when Harper was in charge. The Conservative Government lured educated foreigners to Canada with the promise of great, high paying jobs, and once they got here, once they left EVERYTHING, including their families behind, were told they would have to go back to school in order to be certified. It's a con, the government is a con. Like others have said here, most Canadians are not anti-immigration. Most Canadians grew up proud that we live in such a cosmopolitan country. What people are against is the immigration policies of the current Trudeau government which has led to a degradation in public services and contributed to massively inflated real estate values due to the simple rule of supply and demand. There has been a noticeable and real decline in the quality of life for the average Canadian over the past decade. It is genuinely confounding how anyone can continue to support this government. We are seeing our country go down the drain before our eyes.

********Important**********************Since I've been living in Canada for more than two years, the immigration protests you mentioned have occurred. To put it briefly, everyone moves to different provinces for PR, just like I did when I studied in Toronto for two years. The CRS score for PR is significantly higher there, and there aren't as many easy possibilities, therefore students there relocate. The protest is taking place in Prince Edward Island, where I moved a few months ago. They are protesting for the extension of their work permit and the opening of those easy PR draws, which are currently paused. I moved here in order to obtain PR, but I worry that this protest is inappropriate. Because everyone must submit a statement of purpose (SOP) when applying for a visa to Canada, and in that statement you clearly indicate that you will return to your home country after completing your studies and working there. However, if this statement is not clear, the visa officer may reject your application, stating that they believe you will not return home after completing your studies and working there. In order to avoid having our visa applications denied, we always attempt to assure the officer that we will return home. You have no right to request a PR, an extension of your work visa, or anything else if you have made this statement of purpose plain on your own. If you're thinking about moving to Canada, always make sure that the government is in charge. When I planned, getting our PR was simple, and now that they've changed the laws and regulations, they have rights as immigrants, so nobody should fight against getting PR and a work visa, etc.

I'm an immigrant to Canada. I've been here for 35 years (came here when I was 6). The current immigration/migration/ayslum seeker rates have gone completely insane. It isn't racist to think it's gone overboard. I went to very very multicultural schools. I grew up in Toronto and have lived downtown for 20 years now. I love our multiculturalism but there are limits to immigration if there simply isn't an infrastructure to support countless hundreds of thousands of people trying to move into the city each year. It's not sustainable at all. The roads aren't getting bigger, the housing zoning isn't getting easier, new hospitals aren't being built. You cannot try and cram 4 million people in a city built for like 2 million people. People moving to Canada simply do not realize just how absurdly expensive this place has become. What's the better alternative being poor in India or being poor in Canada? Because unless you are making 100k a year you are going to basically be poor in Toronto.\n\nThe big big difference as someone who has lived downtown Toronto for 20 years is now the homeless are very multicultural. 10 years ago it wasn't like that as much. Now people from every race and every background are at risk of homelessness. It's a rate race, it's a very competitive city for housing and jobs and as soon as you aren't in making $$$$$ you will fall behind.

Ironically, the current system is very unfriendly to well educated, relatively wealthy potential immigrants with valid job offers and skill set confirmed by the Canadian authorities to be beneficial for the economy. Being such person, I've been trying to move there for a year now and am on the brink of giving up.

It's pretty simple: too many people have been allowed in, specifically from 2 or 3 countries, at too high a rate. Jobs and housing cannot keep up. On top of that, the culture that is brought over is not compatible with current western values. We're forced to feel like strangers in their own country. Crime has also gone way up. This is happening all over the West. You'd almost think there was a plan.
