She is not Mexican American. She is Mexican because she was not born in the USA. A green card does not make you an American. It just allows you to work and live in the USA. She needs to go one step further and get naturalized so she can become a citizen.

Diversity of newcomers made this country good, but now it is just concentrated. I lived in the Florida Keys and loved it but the bumper stickers that said Yankees go home made me wonder how they felt about Canadians. I was injured at work and was taken to the hospital were work paid the hospital bill but when the nurse said go to the drugstore and buy a bandage they will be cheaper then if I put one on you. That was a rude awaking as to where I was.\nThe next was I was living with a nurse and at the hospital they brought in a person that had no ID on him. He had been in a terrible car accident but with no ID they would not treat him ,so he died. Turned out he was a Doctor from Key West driving to Miami . The hospital staff were in shock they had let one of their own die. In Canada they would operate first and worry about money or insurance later.

The truth is that there is NO American oil refinery that can refine fracking oil for US consumption. US refineries can only refine heavy oil like Canadian oil or Saudi Arabia oil and Texas heavy oil. The heavy production of fracking oil is sold off to countries that have refineries that can refine sweet oil or fracking oil. When one hears that the US oil production is at record highs is true but not record high consumption use for Americans. So, drill, baby drill, Canada, because Americans need your oil for consumption.

This is exactly what will happen if you let every Tom Dick and Harry enter a country. Canada needs to check the quality of Indians they allow into their country instead of allowing anyone and everyone who applies to come there. There's good, bad an ugly in every country and one needs to have sound government policies to regulate and quality check immigration.

Been out of Canada for most of my adult life and no regrets. Canada now is not the one I grew up in, very sad.

I am a Canadian Citizen, have undergone four surgeries, live with one kidney, and graduated from college in Accounting and Finance in Canada. I pity myself that I have been doing general labor in a warehouse for over three years now. Despite many vacancies, I keep getting rejected! In the warehouse where I currently work, three of the four Accountants are on work permits, and they have no education in Canada!

Living with Americans for five years I really saw the differences. One is they will tell you their life stories within minutes of meeting them!
