Wait a sec. I totally agree about the white dominated banks but speaking untruths undermines your argument. At 4:25 half of these names were non “English” (I presume you meant British). There was Portuguese, Spanish (Latin American maybe?), German and who knows about Neldner or Ahn but unlikely British background. They are Canadian. I think you meant non-white maybe? I'm willing to believe that Canada does genuinely need these high levels of immigration, but if that is the case then the government had better figure out a way to increase the housing supply or else none of them are going to have a place to live.

This is an INACCURATE and SHALLOW video. Just because America is doing it wrong, doesn’t mean we’re doing it right. \n\n1) Canada (we) are accepting immigrants because of a wider tax base (increasing older population) and projections for where we need people. The key word is projections and it clearly is not showing well; just read today’s Globe and Mail. \n\n2) There are 500-600 applicants per job in tech, and we are going through massive layoffs. We will never have the tech sector of London or SF because we are more conservative and smaller in population. \n\n3) Housing has become INSANE as you mention. It’s in the papers every day for the past few years, without any solution. \n\n4) We have no coherent view of immigration, and no surprise, we’ve had four ministers in the past 6-7 years with none of them doing a great job. \n\nOur beautiful country Canada is basically prostituting itself for international students fees and low wage jobs without any plan. Americans are in the crapper. Many of us live on the streets. We need to be more like Japan as to border policy, and treat us first. I don’t know why it’s a big deal, many other countries have the same border policy. America isn’t inconsiderate for having them, it’s just the government already doesn’t help us live. They already take our money and force us on streets. If more immigrants came in, none of us would have a home. Economy would skyrocket greatly but in the wrong ways. More crime because I’m sure there are immigrants who really need help, but among them are also the ones who don’t follow laws. My parents were snowbirds for decades. At the end of their stay, they owned a small place in Safford, AZ. I spent all my vacations wherever they were, Texas, other parts of Arizona. I loved exploring the US with them - Dodge City, KS, Tombstone, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Capital Reef, Gila Cliff Dwellings, to name just a few. Multiple National Parks over their 30 years of winter stays. \n\nThe US is beautiful and steeped in history. We met some really nice people, and even loved a few of them (but not in a weird way).\n\nMy parents sold their place just before Trump became president (on purpose), and none of us have been back since.\n\nDon’t get me wrong, we have our share of ignorant and uneducated people, but most of ours don’t have guns. \n\nAnyways, I digress. Never, not once did we ever consider becoming American Citizens. Especially since Trump (OMG).\n\nWe love our country, even though it’s not perfect. Also there were 51 school shootings in the US last year, dude, that's like 1 per week. Do you think they all happen in big cities? They don't. You have had 201 deaths in school shootings since Columbine in 1999. We have had 10 school shooting deaths in that same time period, and only 1 more than that in our whole history. None ever at at elementary school. You guys need serious change in your priorities and values in your country. ?

Honeymooned in Florida in 1982. Wife wants to go back to visit. There is no way I would visit Florida. None of my money is going to end up as tax revenue for DeFascist. There are a few states I might visit, none of them red, but there is no way I would move to the US. The first reason is the insane health care system, and the second is guns.

I’m actually none of the answers talked about the exchange rate being a factor. To receive approximately 70 to 75 cents for every dollar is very unappealing. If the dollar was on par, I would consider it but likely not…even though I do like America.

I suggest google’n “ school shootings, small town America”…. article after article, when you do, says why most mass school shootings tend to happen in small towns….where nobody expects that they would have happened & how all the residents in those towns are always surprised that they happened in their town. \nI say this as somebody who once loved the idea of moving to the USA. \nMy mom was a single parent and as a result I spent a ton of time as a very young kid in the late 80s throughout the mid 90s in a small town in Oregon on my aunt and uncles dairy farm with my cousins and I absolutely loved it. Truthfully, I still love small-town America and I love the vast majority of the people I have met from small-town America. There is the friendliness and community that I find very similar to prairie farming towns in Canada. \n And as a kid, I loved the focus on high school sports in the small USA town I spent time in and how it brought the community together. It was very exciting to go to my cousins football games—stuff like that was super fun as a kid.\nAs an adult, with 2 young kids of my own now? \nYes, I would be terrified to send my children to any school in the United States, especially knowing that the vast majority of my school shootings do happen in small towns, which is a type of place in the states I would personally like to go to, if I did move. \n\nAdditionally, I will be completely bankrupt at this point given my own health issues as well as my two kids health issues and I’m just in my late 30s. \nAnd I’m not talking to super crazy health issues, but health issues nonetheless. I have asthma that has gone through patches where I’ve had to be hospitalized & I was diagnosed with stage 3 malignant melanoma when I was in my late 20s and pregnant with my 2nd. My first child was born with a congenital heart disorder that was missed through the pregnancy and until she was two, and that involved many many trips to the hospital & various specialists until they figured out what was going on (one of the symptoms was her randomly stopping breathing and going blue, which was terrifying, and could’ve been for many different reasons & it took many specialists & many hospital visits to figure it all out)\nMy son was born with a multiple protein intolerance and later received an autism diagnosis. There a decent number of hospital visits and specialists for his first couple of years of life too. \n\n I have no idea if I was in the United States how I would’ve paid for any of our health issues (let alone all three of ours) for that 5 or 6 year period where we all needed various types of regular-ish medical care. \n(because we got good medical care, thankfully, none of us have really had to see doctors any more than the average person in the last few years?)\n\nMy kids are now in elementary school, and, as a Canadian, the issue of school shootings happening anywhere….., including in small towns that seem perfectly safe……as well as the cost of healthcare for stuff that is covered by our taxes here in Canada….. are the two biggest reasons that I will think fondly of my time in small-town America, but would never consider moving there

I'm British, now retired and living in Spain for 20 years. Have noticed that in the last 10 years there are an awful lot of Americans who are moving here mainly because, although they still have to have private health, it's hugely cheaper here and the service is good; also the lifestyle is more laid back and they can visit a lot of different cultures. In the late 1960s my husband and I emigrated to Toronto, Canada. Visited the US a couple of times. First to NY city, second time down to Kentucky /Tennessee. My parents came on that trip with us. Met Americans at the motels we stayed in and a couple of times my father nearly lost it (don't know how he just kept quiet) as Americans his age were quite abusive and kept on about about how we'd never be able to repay America for their help in WW2 (my father fought in that for all 6 years). Anyway left Canada after 4 years and returned to England; not because we didn't like it but I was terribly homesick. None of the Canadians we're still in touch with would ever have moved to the US.

I've only just started this one but I've got to comment.\nUSA if you have health insurance, you still have co-pays. Even for things like an ED visits. And you pay, either through work or on your own, monthly for that insurance.\nIn Canada there is no co-pay, full stop (at least not in my province) and no monthly fee.\nI work for a call center and the client is an American health insurance company, so I've seen the invoices that hospitals send to the insurance. I've seen the co-pays the patients have to pay with insurance covering the rest.\nI'll take the wait for none critical care, thank you. Critical issues don't have that wait time, that's what triage is for.

I live in canada and am starting my final year of high-school in the fall. I have a lot of friends my age, none of us are planning to stay. All of us are going to the States or Europe. We're not leaving because we don't like Canada, we're being forced out because its too expensive to survive. The last two years have been a slow realization that the options for people my age are A) live on the support of your parents for the rest of your foreseeable life, B) become homeless, or C) leave.\n\nIts especially painful because a lot of people here came from immigrant families who worked hard to come here for a better life for their kids, just to have their kids leave for elsewhere or even return to their country of origin.

Those are seldom legit. If the data comes from a study, always look to see who paid for it. And how large the sample size was; how were the participants selected?
