I know a lot from working all over canada and they come for the free money and health care and school, as soon at they are legal canadians every single one I know/knew left because they don't want to pay the high tax and cost of living, 1 guy I was friends with for a year showed me what he got to come here and it was = to 10 years pay for me at that time. Then he sold the house and cars and left after his temp visa expired, I know of people in AB and on the east coast working here and living 5 and 6 guys in a 3 bedroom and they send every cent back to their own country so they can buy land and housing, For them it's a great get rich quick plan, The one guy I knew for a year offered to pay to have my car fixed and I said no but he insisted it was free on his free tax payer supplied credit cards, If I was not from here and they offered me all this money and stuff Id be here doing the same thing, 5 years here makes you rich when you go home. 2 bedroom condo in Mexico is $85g so if I offered you a good job that will get you a house paid off and lifetime of saving in just 5 years but you have to live in another country would you do it. 100% I would Im looking at my adult kids who will never own a home if they stay here vs the people coming over for 5 years then their set, All my kids are planning to move to a new country for this very reason they are saving and then getting out when the depression hits.

I was just talking to a truck driver the other day who was so angry at the way this government has run this country He's planning on moving back to his home country he said it was worse 5 years ago where he's originally from but now Canada is actually worse that says a lot thanks Mr Trudeau

I love Canada. My mother immigrated here in 1958, and I was born here. Canada was good to her she said, and she was able to build a great life. Opportunity here is nuanced, it’s not easy, but with struggle, often to much.

Yes when the free benefits run out it's on to the next country for more free benefits. If you are coming to Canada you are coming to become Canadian just like the rest of us. The average Canadian is living paycheck to paycheck and don't receive any of the free benefits that newcomers receive when they come to Canada. Like the song goes ,we built this city, and now you want to move in and take over. Like I said that only third generation citizens should receive benefits from Canada because we built this country in our image, a Christian community with Christian values and holidays.

My Indian Uber driver said he felt liked he got tricked into coming to Canada. He came as a student, couldn’t find an affordable place to rent. \n\nHe said how is Canada and universities still bringing in more people, we can’t find work and are fighting for the same apartments.

What is canada good for? Its not safe anymore. The medical departments sucks and the justice system suck, getting a job is hard and cannot afford house, rent or food. Most of us live onlg basic and in debt. The extrem cold winters and short depressing days dont help. All this said im still gratefully to God and know people live far worst.

Can’t blame them at all. I’m a son of immigrant parents born and raised in Canada and I am deciding to move to the US myself due to soaring house prices and taxes. My dad was an engineer back home and when he came here, they said his university diploma was not accepted here. He was forced to work a 9-5 job career instead.

The housing pricing in Canada are pretty insane. The value of my 900 SF condo in Victoria has doubled in the past 10 years. I don't know how anyone gets into the market today when you add in inflation for regular goods over the past couple years. I know it's become a hot button in parliament of late, and the government seems to be trying to spearhead more housing, but they are pretty late.\n\nI'm also a little surprised that a majority of conservatives don't think the immigration levels are too high. But I suspect that has gone down of late with the said housing issues. More skilled workers is better for Canada overall, and will generally drag wages up, but housing has to keep pace so costs don't escalate more than wages.

Our birth-rate is low, so we do need immigrants, that being said, housing needs to keep up and so do appreciation of foreign experience. \nSome of the Ukrainian refugees that we welcomed in NL were doctors and nurses and they really wanted to start working, but were not allowed because they were not trained in Canada. This isn't even a foreigner issue, if a doctor/nurse wanted to move to a different province there are still obstacles, which doesn't make sense to me! Sure healthcare workers from other countries should be brought up to speed on the system, but at the end of the day, they still acquired the education and work experience to do their job and can provide proof of their credentials, it should not take years to work in Canada.

I had exactly the same experiences in 2002 when I went(and came back) on PR to Canada. Getting into a proper paying job in your own profession is the most herculean task in itself. The necessity of a car due to extreme harsh weather most of the months and then initially affording only a basement with mostly indoor activities during non-summer months takes a huge toll on one’s mental well being. Most of the jobs are regulated in Canada so getting an equivalent clearance and compatibility for a job is no easy task at all otherwise you’ll end up doing only sundry manual help jobs around which too aren’t available easily. I found a lot of positivities and possibilities too in Canadian life but then be prepared to sacrifice a lot for many years and then maybe you realise you have a lot more to loose than gain! So as this blogger said Go to Canada first on say a tourist visa to friends or family, stay and spend some time and money too and then make a long term decision to come and stay forever or not. But in the meantime don’t quit your job or business back in India till you come to a final outcome?

One of my close friend shifted to Canada in 2022 with his family. Stayed there for a 8-10 months and came back to India saying a big goodbye to Canada. He spoke positive about everything that you are saying is goodie goodie in Canada, but they got frustrated with the long distances of traveling from home to place of work and then he said there is very little social life in Canada. Ek din achanak se decide kiya ki bas, ab Canada mein nahi rehna, and immd they came back.

Filming in Public is a Crime especially when you film the police and show their tyrannical behavior. They will come for you and hunt you down and charge you and make up all kinds of lies try to financially destroy you throw you in jail. The list goes on there’s people that are called Auditors they go out and film these people to show transparency. Every last auditor in Canada has been charged and arrested and lied in financially despaired the list goes on just go ask the rise in the falls. He just said what i was waiting to hear at 10:27 . This is the edge canada has over the u.s. America presents harrowing & too limited pathways to obtain just work permits/residency, except you won a green card lottery or something; don't even talk about the asylum program. Immigrants with countless stories of been exploited bcos they had no other alternatives than to get married. Thus lots of people moved to Canada with more friendly immigration assimilation policies. America may have the bigger economy but nothing beats canada in getting your papers without been stuck in a situationship(immigration loop, marraige web etc) & as we know your papers unlocks the full potentials & provisions of that land.

I`ve moved to Canada long time ago. Well I disagree with about 60% of what you said. Canada is not what you described it... It is a great place to live, we are people of frontier.

unlike may Indians, especially those who immigrated recently, you seem to be very objective and fair about your assessment of Canadian way of life. Liked what you said about the health system here. It absolutely drives me crazy when many ignorant and self-centered idiots show up in emergency for very trivial discomforts and expect to be served immediately. If that does not happens then declare Canada's health system worse than any third world country. Wish you well but I think you may also regret your decision to return back to the land of andhbakts on one hand and spineless& voiceless on the other.

What you have said is very true, however there are people who would still like to relocate to Canada because of lot of things.\nAny relocation in the new place there is going to be difficult times but once they are settled, they are very happy in Canada,\nas they get used to the place.

I am in Canada from 7 years now. You are so on point with whatever you said in your video. Everything is true. I am glad that you are showing a true side of Canada to your viewers. My husband and I are here just because we like being independent, doing everything by ourselves, that freedom and peace this country gives you? Though we badly miss our family and festivals in India. We make sure to visit india every 2 years so that we don't feel homesick. Wish you a blessed life❤

Back about 15 years ago I was down in Indiana on Ohio. In the people I met in the Midwest states. Great people laid back hard workers. America might have its problems, but so does Canada. Lot of similarities between both countries. And as for Canada's free health care. It's not so good right now. People are having hard time finding doctors. People wait hours to get into appointments. The only thing nice about free healthcare. Is it's free for some people and relatively affordable for other people. But it's not the best healthcare in the world. Like people said, least in America, you can go in and see a doctor and you're in and out pretty quick. But if you don't have free health care yet pay for it

I married my spouse and moved to the United States from Canada. Before, I didn't give the US much thought and merely loved travelling to a few of the locations. Having said that, even after spending five years there, I have never witnessed a country and a population as divided as the US. You proudly display your flag, yet you're so racist, illiterate, and a bible-thumper that it disgusts me. The United States is not the most free country in the world, despite what the public believes and thinks. In reality, it is also depressing to observe how the healthcare system handles people. The social safety net is completely missing, and by that I mean that most jobs don't pay for maternity leaves or vacations unless you work at a senior level or for a high-end company. The political system is so rigged that it is understandable why people are tired of voting every two years, and perhaps even every year. Most certainly, especially since your elections begin almost exactly when the previous one finished. I suppose I could go on forever, but I'll stop here. Although Canada is not perfect, is not free from controversy or problems, and is not the best at everything, we are able to concede defeat, acknowledge that someone was wrong or that we might have done better, work together with one another, and express that we are SORRY. Yes, it is a word that is never used in the US, and that is also the issue. I'm pleased to be back in Canada, where I belong, and I regret ever leaving. Yes, returning to Canada feels peaceful and inviting compared to travelling to the US, where every trip involves an interrogation to ensure that you don't remain too long. There is no need to worry because I won't be returning to stay, only visit, as previously.

Did it as a 5 year project and only made it for 15 months. Needed an expensive 100k procedure. Decision to move back to Canada was a no brainer, waited 3 months to get back on healthcare role and had a successful procedure and didn't have to mortgage the house or cash in RRSP's. Having said all of that many Americans work extremely hard and are driven to get ahead.

My Aunt had Duel citizenship, had one hip done in Canada, had the other hip done in the US the year after ( was many many yrs ago) she said the level of care was better in the sense of personal attention in the US rather than in Canada, gotta have nerves of steel to be ill. Canada is objectively better in terms of legal employment protections, unemployment insurance and healthcare, even though it's second-rate when you take into account waiting times etc. Our public education system is hands down better, even with it's woke issues. If you have never been to, or lived in Canada, you have no right making this video. I used to think we were very much the same and I wanted to live in the US for the weather. But as we go often I have found the atmosphere and attitude has changed greatly in the last few years. People we used to be friends with don’t speak to me anymore as I called them on their awful beliefs. I know it’s not everyone but those beliefs have become way more common. The US used to be more global but now has become way more worried about themselves. \nYou can not talk about politics in a way that’s just a calm exchange, the hate is palpable. I went to an event the morning after a mass shooting and was visibly upset, not one person there talked about it or really thought about it. I asked someone about their thoughts and said “I don’t know why we have so many shootings here in the US” \nEducation is my next thing. The immigration thing that you said is not valid , Canadian government doesn’t allow PR Twice to the spouse of Native & doing that is also not possible as it becomes suspicious henceforth. The person from Toronto to Seattle said that he/she has to pay for medical treatment and had to pay. Of course, that person had to pay because that person is no longer a permanent resident of Canada!

My eyes just about shot out of my head when he said he could be seen by a doctor in an emergency room in 10-15 minutes. Only way that's happening in Canada is if there's a chance you'll be dead within 15 minutes. \n\nSitting in a waiting room for 12+ hours with broken bones is no fun, but think of all the hours of overtime I'd need to put in to pay for an American visit sounds pretty awful too

The United States is somewhat confusing to Canadians, as we are aware of the United States through interrogation of American media in Canada, with access to US TV channels and news networks. Yet we don't fully appreciate the differences until we live fulltime in the US and yup the it is significantly different in some distinct ways.\nWith that said we pay co-pay for doctor visits in Norway for the first 2000 kroner, which helps reduce abuse of the Norwegian healthcare system. After you pass the 2000 kroner, you get a free card for the rest of the year.

I lived in the US for 4 years. I was 12 when I moved with my parents. I had a teacher who expelled me from school on my first day. I refused to do a pledge to their flag. The teacher went nuts. I said I was not pledging anything yo a flag of another country. The teacher then tried to tell me that I was lying and that Canada was a state, not a country, so I had been pledging my whole life. This was a teacher, and I did not know Canada was not part of the US. He called me a traitor and that I should be charged, then had me expelled. When I came back to Canada, I had to take an extra year of school because my grade 11 from the US was so far behind. The US school system was bizarre. The had clubs where people dressed like the military and marched around. They were taught to fire guns, and it was all part of school. They spend more time learning about their history and never learn about so much of it. It was like an oxymoron. The teacher did not know about the War of 1812, did not know that Washington was still trying to stay with in the British Crown even months before the end of their insurrection, and that Canada was a major contributor to the US moon race. It was a very confusing tome for me. Thing I had learned in elementary school, where just being taught in middle school, and other things were so far a head I did not follow like things about their Presidents. They could not spell, yet I got makered wrong for it and I found the teacher were either very nice or true demons, and they knew nothing but their own subject. I also felt like I was treated not as a student but as a criminal who had just not commented on a crime yet. Very strange.

11 years ago a trip to the ER in Texas cost close to or more than the cost with insurance than a the cost for an ER visit in NS (for those out of country who are not covered by our provincial program). \n\nWe would pay $50 copay at the ER, then over. The next few days we would receive a bill for the physician, then from pharmacy, then from the facility, then from X-ray, etc, every separate department would have its own portion. \n\nAnd then there was the unpleasant surprise when the doctor who saw you in the ER was not an “in network” doctor even though the hospital was “in network”. Our insurance paid 70% of (approved) in network costs, but only 50% of out of network costs. Keep in mind that “in network” hospitals and providers had lower negotiated rates with the insurance companies. Which meant you would have coverage of 70% of a negotiated lower rate for in network but out of network was 50% of a higher rate.\n\nMy neighbours were lovely people. The culture was much different than I expected. The gun culture really hits you in face. For the first while it seemed to be so obvious - signs on pharmacies, hospitals, and schools that state that guns were not allowed, even with a conceal and carry permit. Very quickly, that became “normal”….\n\nFood was amazing. Gas was cheap. Politics was everywhere. Christian mega churches were everywhere - along with some very vocal overbearing people who force their beliefs and opinions on anyone who is near them. \n\nI was surprised with the number of people who felt it was appropriate to discuss religion, politics, and money with virtual strangers. A lot of very personal questions as well. I am guessing it is the difference between what is considered extremely rude in Canada, vs what is just a regular question in the US (or that area of Texas). \n\nAnd another very different thing was how hardly anyone swore. I had the bottom drop out of a bad carrying glasses when I was in San Antonio, the glasses broke, and I said “Shit.” I have never seen so many heads turn towards me. Most of the females looked at me with complete disgust and a lot of the males laughed. I expect that the American who heard me swear, were thinking I was the rudest person. One of my children’s friends was from Australia and when their mom came over one day, she said something to the effect of “so glad you are Canadian” because she sis not have to worry about offending me if she said fuck. That was a relaxing afternoon.

Both Canada and America have huge problems right now. As a 73yo Canadian I have NEVER seen so much hate for our Government. Everyone has the exact same complaints, like it was scripted. Our press is constantly stirring the pot and it makes unsatisfied Canadians more angry every day. The negative press pounding on our PM never ends. There are YouTube channels that take every little Canadian fault and make it into the crime of the century. Worse, they make money doing it.\n \nCanadians have been spoiled with our social services and lack of crime, and our beautiful country etc. I'm so tired of the complaining and whining that makes my life more miserable than the cost of living does. Canadians have been spoiled rotten, and now that the candy is less sweet, more expensive and less plentiful, Canadians whine and complain like spoiled children. \nMost countries in the world have the exact same problems and Canadians seem to think our problems are unique and directly connected to our Government only.\n\nAll said and done, I would still rather live in Canada with all of our faults, miserable people, and the haters. Tyler, in terms of you reacting to canada gets stuff late....i was in seattle at a bar, one hour away from our border, this guy at a club said you're so money. i said nice swingers quote and he could not believe i had seen the movie, i told him we get all the movies he does and it blew his mind that we had theaters in Canada. My father lived in California in the sixties . He was a refugee from the war , an orphan , shipped to Canada as a child . The USA sent him a draft card during the vietnam war . He said nope I'm not going , I'm a landed immigrant in Canada, he left back to Canada. Glad he had me here in the great white north. My mother's people are from here .

We have pondered moving to the US but it always scares me thinking of all the service safety nets behind. I don't know how many Americans know this, but basically at birth you are assigned a health card which you keep for the rest of your life. Anytime you go to the doctor they ask for that and it has all your info on it (family doctors, your address, etc) and that's all you do. See the doctor and then leave. Private/work health insurance is more for prescription, dentists,massage, therapy, physio, eye, ambulance rides,etc. \nBut childbirth, ER visits, doctors visits all covered by that card...which is funded by our are taxes. We are taxed to hell and back on the daily but it's just so normal you don't think differently of it. We do have a shortage of Dr's though. An ER wait can be upwards of 2-4 hours and your family doctor can take weeks to get an appointment with so you usually have to go to a hospital or walk in if it's urgent.\nAlso, guns. Guns guns everwhere ? I saw a sign when I was walking into Walmart in Florida saying to not bring guns inside and I just couldn't believe that was a thing that had to be said. In Canada, guns are for hunting and going to the range and that's the only time they're allowed out of their safe. Obviously you have people who have stolen and smuggled guns and that's how you get gun crimes (you need a special card to buy guns and ammo, that you get after passing a gun safety course and *most* gun crimes are not committed by people who hold those cards). I appreciate the fact that you don't have so many restrictions on the types of guns you can get but man, I never felt so rattled just walking around after seeing that sign

Completely agree with you. I spent 6 years in Canada and quit. Both me and my husband are highly educated but had to end up with minimum wage jobs to begin with. Winters are brutal. 2013 we experienced minus 40 with snow storms !! And keeping urself PACKED in ur home for months is extremely depressing. Medical facility inspite of being free is a joke !! You are better off getting basic medicines from India. They want to fix everything with Tylenol, that too such low potency that even 20 pills will not make any difference. And just 1 crocin in India and you can run a marathon next day. Education too is pathetic. They need a calculator to add 5 +5 !! Here 6 yr old kids do mental mathematics on 4 figures in their heads !! No university in Canada can even come close to IIT'S, IIM'S and IISC ever. 12th std math and science here in India is probably taught to engineering degree students on Canada. Moreover only Asian kids like Indians, Koreans Chinese kids ever reach university level education the rest are dropouts and busy with sex and drugs and temporary jobs to fend for the same. Mind you there is a lot of racism in Canada. Most whites hate Asians as they think that we have 'snatched' away their jobs !! They don't like it when we end up buying own homes within 2 to 3 yrs of migrating. Grocery is expensive. Commercial dairy products are high on hormones and other chemicals. It's crazy how many women there have issues with their reproductive organs. Hormone related obesity, diabetes is rampant. As she said only if you go there thru a company on projects ect it's alright. Else there is no place like India in every aspect.

Been in Canada for approximately 25 years. I can say that the effect that Canada has on a legal immigrant is neither here nor there. The wheels of justice grind slow but they do grind fine. Women and children have equal rights with men. Politicians are mostly there to serve not necessarily to exploit. \n \nOpportunities for self-development galore - including being trained to become employable and going to school at any age (sometimes for free while you are still at the bottom of the ladder). There are food banks so you never go hungry if it came to that. The disabled are better treated with dignity. \n \nThere are prolonged parental leaves for both moms and dads for up to 18 months. Commensurate with earnings, parents under certain thresholds are given Canada child tax benefits and other supplements for each child under 18 years of age. \n \nDepending on the number of kids and their ages, the money can add up handsomely. Not to mention that there’s no tuition to pay for primary and high school students. Tuition fees start at post-secondary level. \n \nTo see a doctor is free as it is paid for by taxes. It the meds that you and/or your insurance pays for. Some medical equipments may be paid for by either or both the individual/insurance and the government depending on eligibility. \n \nBy and large, there’s cleanliness of common spaces. There’s also safety and relative peace. At least wherever I have lived, I can’t tell you how many times I forgot to lock my door with impunity. \n \nThere’s a lot more stressful work here in my opinion, but like you said Lynn, systems work a lot more efficiently and effectively. \n \nThe elephant in the room is the extra hard work that those living abroad must put in to fulfil expectations back home. Also known as black tax, the overwhelming financial dependency of relatives on their diasporan loved ones places undue stress on many here, especially because there are no short cuts to getting money here. \n \nAnyway, Lynn, thanks for such a great topical issue you’ve shared. Though Canada is not a likable nation to me as well, but what you said is absolutely disgusting. You entangled in Indian habits and mindset which only accepted by idle Indians and Canada is definitely not as bad as India. So please stay in India without complaining about India.

Nitish the introduction of your video was incorrect when you said Britishers treated Canadians well because they were white skinned totally ignoring the fact that Canada belonged to the Native Canadians who were treated far worse than Indians. The Indigenous people of Canada are struggling to this very date. Please stop potraying Canada as the land of the whites as it belonged to the indigenous people, the First Nations Indians, Inuit and Meitis.

I live in Canada as a Kenyan and I have been here for sometime .I work as a HR/Payroll Specialist also certified in the field. The problem is not Canada , Canada is a very good county which I love and I am gland God gave me the Opportunity to Come and settle here with my family.. The problem with some people coming here is lacking of knowledge how Canada works .It’s system is very far from how things work in Dubai or Gulf countries. A lot people are thinking than you can just come and get any job even without proper papers or you can earn a lot of money and then build wealth quickly. Which is A BIG FAT LIE. The tax in Canada keeps you humble. That is how Canada funds it's high end life many admire and want to be part of. The more you work in Canada the more tax you pay and many don't know this, and it is one of the main reasons why a lot of people start to regrets, because they realize there effort of working hard is not paying as they hoped. Another thing in Canada is next to impossible to get jobs or rent a place without proper paper work, like work permit, It is not like USA where you can use someone else papers to work. the The main available jobs , easy to get , don’t pay much. And also the cost of living is very high in some provinces like Ontario and BC. They hardly recognize credentials from outside unless you came through a job offer. Also because a lot of things in Canada are paid by the government through taxes, like health care, education. Unless you are tax paper with (and I repeat) Paper work, you cant access the benefit, including thee free food available for the needy. \nMany people forget Canada is looking for people to work for them. Not to grow rich and leave. The system is meant to keep you working. Unless you understand how a system of a country works, one will continue to blame it. Let people get well informed and well educated first , before they jump in the river. And it’s not Canada a lone , but any country in the world. Also a lot of these media post about Canada are misleading. And there is also another trap called debt, a lot of people once they getting working, rush to but things they cant afford and it becomes a stress instead of a blessings.\nIf you want to live well and enjoy Canada . One of the top thing to do is, go back to school once you enter in it, get a good education and you will get a good job. Also give yourself time to adjust. REMEMBER you are starting from square one. You are not continuing where you left in Kenya or in the country you get from. Also, the general social climate is not as friendly as those in USA for example. Not many people are willing to help for free. The most jobs advertised in Canada are the lower end paying jobs, which a lot of people pay a lot of money to come for, just to realize the job they left behind was far much better than this, but no one told them that, just because it said $18 hrs and you converted it to your country and looked a lot, doesnt mean it carries the same wait once you earn in from here. The living expense are very different. The reality is, it is not where you are , but whom you are and determination knows no barrier. Anyone who will trust God for help, work hard/smart and be patience in life, they will make. It might take longer than they expect, but they will get their eventually.

As many people has said in the comments section. Foreign countries are not easy especially for new immigrants. One has to have the right documentation to be able to live and work. People definitely has to do their research before paying those agents thousands of dollars and empty promises about Canada. Jobs are there but you have to be skilled, otherwise one will end up in factory Jobs where they pay minimum wages making it extremely difficult to make ends meet.

I have heard so much negative aspect from formal Canadian migrants, either from China migrants, Hong Kong Migrants, Malaysian migrants or fr some other countries. \n\nMany of them decided to move out from Canada eventually. \n\nAnd your experience has convinced me that Canada is not worth to migrate to. \n\nBy the way, there are not many options as you said because the world is going through extreme whether, and the global economy is declining . \n\nI believe, wherever we go, the very first thing is pray to The Lord for guidance for He knows where is the best for us.
