I'm sorry to hear that you wish to leave Canada. I understand the problem with winters. I think inflation is a world problem that you can not escape. I don't believe that the government is doing anything more than trying to be inclusive to all of the 'others' of our society but then I am an old man living in a very isolated place. My children were raised Muslim but not of the 5 prayers a day. My disappointment with the Canadian government's and opposition's stance regarding the genocide in Gaza is huge and it is the best reason you have given. Canada as with Germany in Namibia has its own problems living up to the genocides we have committed in the past. If you go to Malaysia I hope you become sensitive to the 'others' that live in that country.

Toronto is probably better off without this whiny little Princess. for all it's faults it is still one of the safest places to live in North America , and certainly the safest in Canada. She compares it to Tokyo which is even more overcrowded . If cost of living is the Criteria for where you live then certainly go live in Tokyo. Personally I'd much rather ride the TTC to work than Tokyo's commuter trains where they pack them in like sardines. Sayonara, sweetheart !

I have been in US for 20 years and can understand the experience that you are sharing. Frankly, countries like US and Canada are not for people who can’t do some basic things on their own. \nPeople leave their families and comfort of their home and come to these countries either to earn money, eventually have a good quality life or to provide a good quality education for their kids. If you don’t have a reason good enough to make that move and keep the option of running back home on facing little hardship then there is no way you can live in these countries. Forget about going and living in other countries you can’t even go and live in another state within India. Do you think it’s easy for a North Indian to go and live in South (or vice versa) where they encounter language and culture barriers? \nYou were in much much better situation as you already had PR and didn’t have to go through stress of handling uncertainty on your visa situation based on job.\nTrust me it takes few years for you to get adjusted to new environment, culture, people, food etc. But, as you spend more and more time in these countries you get more accustomed to way of living here and then you become so comfortable with it that you don’t want to go back at all.\nDon’t want to judge anyone but I guess in your case at your age with family already settled in India you didn’t have a solid enough reason to get out of your comfort zone and give time to get used to such big transition in your life

I am very happy that people who dont like Canada are deciding to go back to India, its good for us immigrants who are able to live in peace because we are ready to go through struggle and we like the country. Couple of years ago, people were randomly and blindly coming to Canada without knowing ANYTHING about the country and unfortunately everything was crowded.

Canada is NOT an Islamic state and westerners shouldn't be forced to live in an Islamic state. Real estate in Australia is expensive because the nation is highly successful and ordinary citizens are wealthy, and this includes real estate, plus with 3 billion middle class Asian's right above Australia the Asian economy dwarfs the US economy to insignificance. Job opportunities are dictated by the fields the economy needs - oil is insignificant in Australia compared to other industries. Geographic Isolation - Thank god the rest of the world is far away, as an Australian I wish it was further away. Air fares prior to pandemic were reasonable USA to Australia around $800 return - but this guy lives in Perth so to go 4-5,000km to the east coast will be expensive - on the east coast a one way ticket to another city can be had for around $50 to $80 - Again for Australians proximity to the US market is not significant we are focused on the Asian region. Natural beauty anywhere is amazing but I prefer a warm climate over a frozen one - The Canadian population is all centered around the US/Canadian border region the rest of Canada like central Australia is vastly empty. In conclusion I find many immigrants want to move from Australia to Canada is proximity to the USA but for Australians the US market or lifestyle is not attractive or important.

I was born there. I will never go back there to live. Not worth the cost. May other places to livein Canada and the world.

Moved to Canada in 2017 and looking to leave in 2024. I was lucky to come here with a job and I’m making a six figure income even though I’m far from being successful. However, the problem with canada at the moment is even if you have a decent job and not too bad salary, you still can’t afford a home and the rent keeps going through the roof. Canada’s obsession with immigration is lazy and irresponsible. The politicians and elites see immigrants as cash cows and instead of creating companies that generate jobs and wealth, they speculate in the housing markets which are fuelled by immigrants. Immigration is not necessarily a bad thing but you do it with a plan, definitely not as radically as Canada did under the liberal government. The massive immigration only helps the rich, the already haves and the investors. Ask middle and lower classes how they feel about their life quality in Canada, do they really benefit from the immigration? They fight hard for jobs with minimum wages, pay for ridiculous rents, wait in the long line at the emergency rooms, get into bidding wars in the housing markets …. If you are not rich, simply don’t come to Canada. It’s not worth it unless you enjoy living from paycheck to paycheck and owning nothing.

I support this. Canada is disgustingly atheistic and going down a very dark path. As a Christian American I could not imagine living there as anyone trying to follow any religion. But yeah so I study and learn about demographics and foreign countries and cultures as a personal hobby for going on 8 years now. I recommend Morocco, Jordan, Tunisia, Oman, Kuwait, Malaysia and Singapore for Islamic countries that are safe, rule of law, and as a small extra bonus mostly US allies, but still have their islamic cultures and communities intact and do not commonly come under pro israel or UN voting pressure. Probably youll want to relocate to one of those countries. Qatar too but they have a bit of a history supporting extremist and terrorist groups so I cannot in good faith recommend living there. Bahrain Brunei and Indonesia you could try too but I don't know enough about them to recommend.

You are not the only one complaining about Canada. I think first of all, we have to understand that we had been living in a peaceful world for the past few decades in contrast with the world just after world war two, and every young people had been living in comfort during their whole life. The last few years had changed, and if the world leaders didn't control the situation very carefully, we might be living in a world war not surprisingly. The inflation we are having is worldwide as a result of the pandemic, and because we have this rising inflation, the world had changed, it would have been worst if there is a world war going on at the moment. So this high cost of living is happening everywhere, and some places are even worst if they are having a war. If you think Canada is bad, name a place that is better than Canada and live there. I doubt if you can find another place better than Canada even with all your complaints. Do more research and you will appreciate that you are one of the lucky ones living in Canada. If you do not agree, I invite you to make another video telling me your findings. We are just in a bad cycle, just wait till the cycle ends, and we will see the sun shining again.

The main reason the Canadian government wants so many immigrants is because they need new victims to pay into their pension ponzi scheme.\n\nIf it was not for mass migration, the Canadian pension system would have collapsed long ago.\n\nInstead, it is expected to go bankrupt around 2035.\n\nEither way, these new arrivals will never benefit from these pensions. I don’t begin to understand your issues around your religion, but I respect your decision … being an Alpha white man, and a Christian has become very very difficult in this society as well. sure, the economy is soft, the growth of Canada is limited, we have a socialistic government, and many more negatives around Canada. As a born and raised Canadian I made the decision to flee my homeland of 42 years the moment that the current regime came to power in 2015. I ended a highly successful, well-paid 20+ year career, sold everything I owned and was gone within six months. Leaving is not a big deal without the renunciation of the canadian citizenship. Because when you'll not be happy in the country you'll go to live in, there is a great possibility that you want to return to canada. And THAT will be a malicious behavior.

I have no idea where these people live in Canada. Having said that, some of the comments are so cruel. These people feel unsafe and want to move to a Muslim Majority country. They do not want to live in Canada which is a country where LGBTQ rights are equal to religious rights. So fine, let them go. No need to be mean to them.

I regret moving here 17 years ago - don't know how I've managed to stay this long. Toronto has changed me... and not for the better. This place will make you bitter, you'll have no friends (or shallow, money-hungry ones) and there's no sense of community. Your workplace will be toxic, you'll work long hours for a boss that treats you like crap and pays you less than you're worth. You'll be underpaid, and not valued or appreciated. You'll wake up in the dark to go to work in the freezing cold and come home in the dark, in the freezing cold. You'll live in an expensive tiny box in the sky with disrespectful neighbours (and their barking dogs). The 'unhoused' and addicts will hang outside of your building, begging you for money and smoking crack/weed. The stench of urine and poop on a hot summer's day (the 3 months of it that there is) will make you want to heave.\n\nAnyone thinking of moving to Toronto should seriously think twice and do LOTS of research. There are so many BETTER cities in the world - choose wisely. Don't choose Canada.

You didn’t mention the worst aspect of Canada: the dictatorship of the liberal politicians. You have no “Bill of Rights “ to prevent the oligarchs from making terribly oppressive rules that remove all rights worth mentioning. In other words, going down the path of the Progressives who despise personal freedoms (see USA).. moving to Canada would not increase our freedom to live.

Inflation has hit worldwide. Prices surged after COVID with no signs of going down and now we are at a point that we've been anchored to these prices. Sometimes I dissuade myself from the occasional treat. I thought Popeye's was halal in Canada. While I now live in a state with 100,000+ Muslim population, I wish there were a lot more halal eatery options. This is a stark contrast from where I was living in Long Island, New York, where there were close to 30 halal eateries in a 3-mile radius. New York City has now permitted the azaan to be broadcasted over loudspeaker for every week jumu'ah and during Ramazan every maghrib as well. Even with all the halal options and large Muslim neighborhoods, NYC has its own challenges. A designated shoes-off place of worship for all faiths in establishments would be nice, be it malls, superstores, or airports.

I am not Muslim and I don't live in Canada so I can't completely understand your experience. I'm from a Hindu family and I relate to some of the things you guys have expressed, especially how you guys are worried about your children being raised in a certain environment and the sense of community. Especially, about the kids. America and Canada are scary at this moment. I heard that America is looking at allowing schools to help children to hide their decision regarding their gender etc., from their parents, and there is so much more being taught in schools that go against certain cultures and belief system but also it is now separating kids from their parents, creating walls. I also agree with you both that I don't hate or saying that others can't live the way they choose to live but when it is being imposed on your children then it's hard to live in that place. I wish you guys all the best, just wanted to say, I completely get you and bless your family. You have to do what is right for you and your children and you have to go where you are most comfortable and happy<3. People have to stop using rental prices in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. That's like Americans using rental costs in Bel-Air California or Manhattan as an example of what rent costs in America. It's not a realistic portrayal of rental costs. \nHere in Quebec the the annual tax rate is between 26.53% and 53.31%, depending on income. Then you have to consider all the socialist programs that you are forced to pay into, which also sucks up a significant amount on your weekly salary. After that, you must consider that you pay 15% sales tax on almost everything. It's safe to say that half of your yearly earnings, give or take, are taken in taxes and socialized programs. As for salaries, less than 20% of the Canadian population make a 6 figure salary. We're not talking about household income. I am talking about individual income. You're not going to become rich here in Canada! The majority of people who do become rich leave Canada to avoid taxation. Canadians live a life of debt. You will live just balancing your debt to make sure it doesn't get out of control Few Canadians have money in savings without debt. The ones who do have money saved, most of them have debts on top of their savings which is counterproductive in my opinion.

To make matters worse, there are some who become “Canadians of Convenience” who, once becoming Canadian citizens and holding Canadian passports, leave Canada to go live in their countries and when things blow off, and their countries become war torn, they ask the Canadian government to pay for their flights back, not to mention those who get sick outside the country and come back to get treated at the expense of government health care. And after all is done, they once again leave the country. Really?

Toronto and Canada claim to be inclusive and diverse. I know many gay men who have been beaten up on the TTC. One buddy was beaten to a pulp, and no one helped him. People just sat there are let it happen, didn't even call the police.\n\nI would never live in Toronto, I'm leaving Ontario because this province is going downhill fast. My girlfriend and I live right downtown in what used to be a really nice area near a park. Now we have homeless doing drugs on the street every time we go out. We are planing to move away to USA next year and can’t wait. Being a citizen of Canada is not worth the cost. There is no reason to pay so much in taxes and to be stepping over needles and seeing the gray skies and the country falling apart.

My parents immigrated to Canada from Romania when I was nine and I have lived there for 20 years. I can’t remember ever really liking it, but I was made to believe that I was so lucky to be living there but always felt like it wasn’t the place for me. I just couldn’t find any other country where I actually felt good until a Moroccan friend convinced me to visit his country and I fell in love! I think from the moment I started planning my trip there I had already fallen in love with the country! For four years I kept going back until I finally had the courage to settle there! It’s been almost 7 years and I still love it as much as in the beginning (with all its pros and cons, because obviously there are also plenty of cons like in every other country, but the beauty and the people’s kindness and warmth far outweigh any of them:)

My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

It's obvious that you have never lived outside of Canada. Canada is probably one of the last countries in the world that accepts people for who they are and has a decent level of respect for belief systems. I get that you want to raise your children in a better environment, but trust me when I tell you this... you are walking into a world of disappointment. Canada itself is about 15 years behind other countries when it comes to this downwards spiral you are speaking of. Sadly, you will find out soon enough that this utopia you want to find, simply doesn't exist and you will discover you have left the variable comforts and safety of Canada behind. I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but am simply sharing what I discovered when I searched for the same things. I think L. Frank Baum said it best.... if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. If you are lucky in life you will discover that the world doesn't stop turning for you, and that the world that you dream of for your children must be created from within. That being said, it is good to travel and trying different ways of living is a wonderful education for your children. Just remember to shield your hearts and stay positive if things don't turn out the way that you hope they will. Best of luck and stay safe.

I visit Canada regularly since the late 90th. I saw a steady decline in the last years. Get rid of Trudeau and his bad politics. The sad thing is that this happens to many western countries. Currently I live in Germany. The loss of wealth and confidence due to damage done to the economy by the current government is mind blowing. People are angry. Visiting the Netherlands, Britain, France - everywhere I go in the west it’s the same. People are fed up of leftwing ideology, identity politics and high taxes.\nThe west needs to wake up. \nPeople are leaving for other places.\n\nIf one is good in his job, one can live a good life in many places. Many of your numbers are wrong sweetie. Here are the facts;\n2 years ago, you would go to IGA (where food is fresh but it is pricey), you would get out with 2 bags of groceries for about 120$. Today, it is 180$ for the same 2 bags. this is NOT a 10% increase... but almost the double in price!\n\nRent, in Quebec province, have gone from around 1,000$ to 2,400$ in less than 5 years, and each time a tennant leave his place, the landlord rise (against the law but nobody can do anything) the rent often by 25 to 40%!!! The Demand is so high, that he can refuse you for any reason (including racism, children, pet, smokers) he can think of. Again, this is against the common law but in truth, there is nothing anybody can do, unless you can bring him to court, which takes lots of money...\n\nSo in reality, from the last 5 years, almost everything has double in price and salaries have barely start to rise (mostly due to unions who revolted) but if you are not part of one, your salary basically stayed the same.\n\nA very good advice, don't come to Canada. There is no 'dream' here anymore. it is hell. And even if you find a decent job, you will be ask to do the job of 4 peoples and taking your vacation will be near impossible without losing it. If you are not dying in your country, don't come here. I knew some people that came here from France, and although the situation is bad in France, it is still easier to live in France than here and so, they returned.\n\nWe are called a social-communist country by US standard, but the truth is, we have never been so far away from it. We are now into a company distopia that have monopoly on prices, control over any legislations, and our government steal money from its citizen to give it to companies so they grow artificially without giving any more good jobs to people. I foresee a citizen unrest if not, a revolt, in the near future. The domestic violence is reaching new heights, and if you don't believe me, just look at the current news; this last 2 days have seen 2 women beaten to death by their husbands... and that is just the point of the iceberg we see... People are stressed, angry, broken, and even if we keep making jokes ( that is how we are...) we are all worried about the future of Canada.

I like what she says about her grandchildren, in future years, may have to leave wherever they go now… alluding to the possibility (I believe) that perhaps there is no permanently perfect place… I can understand how they would appreciate living somewhere where the daily prayers are announced 5 times daily over loudspeaker. I often feel so very isolated in myself in MY way of life here in Canada (which doesn’t happen to be as a Muslim). After all, we are the “cultural melting pot,” and so many people of different cultures have come here and tried to make a life work for them. Canada is seen as “a land of dreams” by many, but it depends on what our dreams are, for real. For instance, what were many immigrants hoping for when they fled Europe after World War II? This family is telling us what they dream for their family, and Canada is not a good fit for what they value.

Canada, is a democratic, Western, multi cultural society, if you are uncomfortable living in that environment, then you should go to an Islamic Country/society, living in a democracy gives all people equal rights, it's totally your choice, not to agree with certain aspects, but you also need to be aware that Canada, is obviously not an Islamic Country run by Sharia law. So, go were you feel comfortable.

I see comments about the u.s. ... oh', so much better, lower taxes etc. Fact: in 2024, a nuclear family (2 parents, 2 kids) in the u.s. often pays over $2,000/mo, every month, just for medical insurance premiums. That is just another form of tax ... the cost of living.Tuition, far higher in the u.s. Property taxes, far higher. I lived in the u.s. for 20 yrs, and returned to Canada. And, Canadian society is less violent, less racist, more polite, more civilized, there is less social anxiety. If you don't like it here, go try America. Canada is among the best of countries with a higher standard of living for average working families, than in the u.s.

I want to give a different perspective. I'm from Singapore. My entire family was here and they have moved back. My sister moved back first because my British brother in law could not take the cold. My brother moved back because he wanted to make money and be rich. My parents moved back to be close to their grandkids. But no way will I move back. Constant heat strokes from the weather, materialistic and shallow people, preference given to married people and families, lack of hinterland and nature, lack of winter sports, and poor LGBTQ+ rights. I have not lived in Singapore since I was 18 and I am also childfree, with no intention of raising a family, only travel locally, and am not into the acquisition of commercial goods for gratification. I love going on roadtrips and skiing every winter and playing hockey year round. I like that I can marry who I love here and can acquire a home without needing to be married. I understand how people who want to make money and raise families would see the brighter side of other countries, but Canada, despite its flaws, is my brighter side.
