I don't understand why people from shitty countries feel so entitled when they come to Canada. They act like we owe the world something. I have met so many newcomers who trash Canada openly I have lost count.

Leaving the U.S. which is as free as Canada is not a reason to accept individuals based on a refugee status. Most countries are welcoming immigrants. But stop trying to jump the line ahead of others. Canada has always been great neighbors with our American counterparts. Why would immigrants think any differently ?\n\nIs it because lie-beral stations like CNN have painted Canada as a better country because we have a dope running the country who is lie-beral minded. That's the sad part, and it is a good reason to understand why President Trump calls CNN fake news. They even betray their own citizens with these lies. Canada has seen in Trudopes time all the corruption and mishandling of immigration, that Canadians has had enough of his stupidity, and he is on his way out.

So frikin evil I hate illegal immigrants they speak Spanish and take over jobs and people who only know English like me can’t understand them it makes life so,hard why can’t they just get the hell out of here how does it feel if your country is being illegally invaded?

Sick of hearing stories like that, I understand the fact that she doesn't represent any Canadian, ( including herself since she was drunk and said sorry later) but still annoying. My concern is the other Canadians, Individual haters always exist but stop those individuals up to other Canadians. Easy to tag muslims as *terrorist or *isis or easy to tag white people as *racist or *hater. As a community we should be able to stop those behaviors even before it starts , then we can be a strong community and live in a harmony .

15 years in the U.S. and he didn't learn English? Two years ago I went on my church's annual week-long missions trip to Guatemala and absolutely hated the fact that I couldn't understand what people were saying around me. I immediately started studying Spanish so I could go back without fretting myself into fits over not being able to communicate. If I can learn Spanish for an annual trip, he and others like him can learn English when they come to stay in the U.S.

I don't understand what's the point you're trying to make with this video. It seems like you're trying to blame Canada and Trudeau for the situation that he is in; You (VICE) place emphasis on his situation and his family, trying to drum up sympathy for him, but the way I see it is, he's to blame for it. He came here of his own volition and with a family by trying to get around the system. That's doesn't make him sympathetic, it makes him stupid and naive and impulsive. Frankly, it insulting and infuriating because there are people who wait YEARS and pay thousands of dollars who are actually in need of coming to Canada. And now, because of people like him is the reason why the system is backed up to point of instead of waiting for 60 days, you have to wait as much as 20 months before you hear back (which unfortunately, encourages more border-hopping and situations exactly like this)

I have zero issues with immigrants seeking a better life in another country, being one myself, but a few things about some immigrants baffle me always. How do people expect to be welcomed and accepted by the folks of another country when they don't even bother to learn the language. This guys been in the US for 15 years and can't speak any English? Its not the worse case , I've seen people live far longer 30 or 40 years in countries like the UK where I'm from and they cannot speak a word of English because they choose to live in a self imposed microcosm of the country they came from. \nThey have to understand that it's very insulting to native people and citizens of a country that you want to be treated as a citizen yourself but won't make efforts to adapt to the language and cultures of the country you have chosen to live in, I cannot think of a better way to ostracize yourself than failing to learn the language.\n It would be far easier to have sympathy for your cause if you are able to show that you have integrated and intend to be a citizen of that country 100% and the easiest way is to be able to communicate your cause yourself.

I’m not Canadian, so I don’t have as much of an understanding of their process; however, much like in the U.S., you have to have a legitimate and compelling reason to seek asylum, for example, those escaping a literal war in Syria where death was imminent. Not that I don’t have compassion for this man wanting to better his life and that of his family, but seeking asylum from El Salvador because they have a lackluster economy, crime and violence (while a good enough reason to relocate elsewhere) isn’t a case for asylum. *shrug* Asylum is meant for exigencies, emergencies, imminent danger, which doesn’t look like it applies here. My guess is this man thought seeking asylum would be a way to go around needing expensive documents to do a standard immigration and the process flopped on him.

Why are people who clearly understands history..learned history act like the countries belong to them? Never was theirs and never will be. All are on borrowed time.

I would like for vice to follow up on this because even in the states that I've been I've hurt that Canada is there salvation for Donald Trump's persecution against illegals and it would be cool if they can expand this news or story a little bit more for people to understand that what the Prime Minister has sed an done is false.

part two so now i have my first black friends and they call me bum blaster and blood clout with that thick accent and laugh and never explain . well time goes by and nigei invites me to his house to hang . so im getting a little drunk and tell a story about going to my first black bar --------------- you said what , all conversation stops . i say i went to a black bar and my buddys girlfriend starts at me about it not being a black bar but a ---- i cant understand her the accent again. so i start my story again , iwas the only white person in the bar and kind of stood out , felt like everone was staring at me . i asked if this is how blacks feel. well everone start freaking and my buddy who i work shoulder to shoulder with every day and eat three meals a day with and ride the bus home with. his girlfriend starts yelling im racist and to get out of her house. is my buddy walks me to the elevator i say to him you know im not racist and he answers i know but what can i do. i get it its always ok to be racist as long as your not white . we worked together as a team salt and pepper as he use to call us for an other year and he came to my house .

yup. It would be really difficult to immigrate to Alberta now. Our unemployment rates at ridiculously high, our provincial deficit is out of control, and our main resource is showing few signs of actual recovery. The most racism I experienced in school was from teachers. Its the most profound kind of racism, because they are authority figures. The thing is when your fellow students display racism it doesn't have the same gravity as it does when your teacher does it because you know your teacher does know better but they truly believe it.In University, I actually had a teacher give a lesson that was so tinged with racism that it really broke me down, because what I've come to realize is that so many people think that being racist is saying actual racist words and don't understand that perpetuating stereotypes are the most prevalent forms of racism.  It is demoralizing because it feels like a losing battle when your teacher is perpetuating racially disparaging ideas to an entire class, and you think about how many people are going to be influenced by that idea and in turn perpetuate it. I realized that this teacher really insidiously believed what she was saying was true, but that it just wasn't politically correct to say it. The main principle of white privilege is that white people get to be individuals but people of colour get grouped together by the most base stereotype of their race.  I don't think Black-focused schools are the solution. I think more integrated schools with diverse populations of students and teachers are the solution.\n Then there are concrete issues of race, space and the law. For example when you come to realize that carding continues in Toronto, and that most residents do not care that young Black men are being harassed and treated like criminals by the police because it does not affect their community, it makes you wonder if people are only inclined to feel empathy for those who look like them.

This central american guy is no real refugee. He is just a law breaker who violated immigration laws so he could bypass the legal system and those who actually go through the process. Not only did he violate US and Canadian territory but also Mexican as well. I understand his motives, but no sympathy here for law breakers like him. There is an immigration process and he must respect it.

I can't believe what's being said in these comments. So the fact that he didn't speak English in the interview is the only thing that sunk in? Ok. Many of the immigrants that come here , come for the opportunities: Work, food, shelter, etc. Learning English should be mandatory in all immigrants applying for citizenship but we can't disregard someone because they choose NOT to speak English. For all we know, this guy (I'm sure) understands and probably can speak some English but for the sake of the interview the producers mostly likely asked him and he chose to speak in Spanish.

7 times out of 10 its a native whose stealing. It’s just a fact. More unstable upbringings, drugs, alcohol violence. Lower education, lower income, lower understanding of right from wrong. Natives are more likely to be in poverty which=more likely to steal.

Truth is ISIS just following the Koran Sentence by Sentence, they have publicly confirmed it and you just read Koran English translations and understand that truth, if anybody follow Koran then he is not suitable for your Country at all..most Muslim Woman are good and open like any other Woman in the World, but they are forced to live like slaves for thousands of years by their own men...

While I understand people may not like certain groups, but we are all one race and there are no black or white people just different shades of the same color so why do we perpetuate incorrect labeling when everyone is trying to be PC? i hope these Muslim people are working really hard and looking after their family by their own money and not getting any benefits from Canadian government as child benefit or housing benefit like UK !!\nBecause in UK most of these people dont work and they dont pay tax ,plus each family got minimum 4 kids and the government have too look after them and pay for their house rents ...I dont understand why the UK government not stopping that!!! .

In general, people are not given to searching very hard for the truth. Being sinners, we humans are concerned with what pleases us-------the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life, as the Bible tells us. All this is sin, 'for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God' (Romans 3:23, New Testament). But islam so obviously uses religion to justify and cover up sin! Therefore those who are not brainwashed by it should be able to see through it, that it is a system of lies and oppression. \n\nIt is understandable when leaders of countries steeped in islam go along with it. But there is NO EXCUSE for leaders like Trudeau, who have NOT been brought up in it and yet support and promote it. If wearing a nikab or hijab or burka was a sign of respect and honor, we would all be walking around wearing bed sheets over our heads. That fact that only women are required to cover up is exactly why it is discriminating and a sign of male chauvinism by the muslim community and islam. Having grown up in the midwest of the USA, I find it offensive and oppressive to women to see them hiding under or behind a cloth garment. Talk to anyone who specializes in communication and you will quickly understand that there are many non-verbal communications from facial expressions that contribute to the way we humans communicate with each other. To suppress these facial expressions is like seeing without color and in black and white only. This is a fact of life and not open to debate.

it's not the religion.... it's the mac's convenience and the corner stores selling tropicana juice for 6 bucks a liter. It's the family oriented hiring policies and the rural area stores being bought and not offering fishing bait, ice or firewood but instead offering dollar store fishing lures for 20 bucks. it's the electronic stores that sell tape decks and old CD players. The stuff that really makes a bad impression is when a muslim family buys a Pizza Pizza or a subway and then changes the restaurant so that there is no where to be seated and the food is processed by someone who won't look me in the eye once and speaks a language that I can't understand to an employer about my sandwich and i will never know what the problem was. I feel like my spanish and native friends treat me the same as them. I feel like the scottish guy who hates me for not waking up at 5 in the morning is only mad because i'm not working as hard as him. I'm saying that maybe a lot of muslims don't want to be our friends and maybe some do... but it seems like they don't want to be my friend but will message a pretty white girl on every single facebook post with paragraphs of physical praise. i probably get a lot of facts wrong... but that world may be too far away for us to acclimate into each others societies. I'd like it though if we could all live in such a manner where we could feel like we aren't all gunning for a chunk of the world.

The problem is that most people who like immigrants dont understand the concept of assimilation. I have no problem with immigrants who assimilate, but when we have so many illegals who enjoy the benefits of the American constitution, without learning English, who dont learn American History or economics, dont pay taxes and then send whatever money they make out of country. Of Course we should kick these people out. they should never be here in the first place. People not willing to assimilate should never be let into any country.

The thing I don't understand is that when people come to our country to live and enjoy our way of living, why can't they just follow our beliefs and not try to change them... I will never change my culture to make any immigrant feel more like home, if they don't like it then they can go back to where ever they came from... I'm sorry not to hound on Muslims wearing the macabre or how you spell it. When you wear something that covers your face and you look like a damn ninja. Can you really blame folks for feeling the way they do? Despite it being part of your culture or religion but you guys need to understand where those people are coming from when you dress up like a ninja.

I can see westerners being freaked out by the women who cover their face. I myself was like wtf when I seen a women with covered face for the first time back in northern Virginia, and I am from Ethiopia - a country that has a big Muslim population, more than 30%. We live among Muslims peacefully, because we respect our differences, but the ones back home do not really cover their face so I was not used to it. Really we should do better than creating differences, there is no better race or religion, all humans are the same, we all practice the 7 deadly sins religiously. and all the people commenting saying they hate Muslim and what it stand for, what religion are you because the Bible teaches compassion, it does not say to hate what you don't understand.

As a young child I remember viewing the Amish women as being in a chronic 'state of funeral' based solely on their signature dark garb. It created in my own (childlike) logistics that this was a type of society which I needed to keep at a distance from myself. I disliked their choices, finding them muted in a world layered thick in rich and vibrant fields of color. An interview with a very rich Saudi woman (living in Saudi Arabia), in how she spoke of her own frustration by not being allowed to own a drivers license, instead being driven in her husbands pricey Mercedes by a hired driver. She forced this issue on her local, home town government when she attempted to embarrass the officials of this primitive law, which in her view, had outlived its purpose and no longer applied to modern women in her culture. This interview went viral being shown on multi media networks and the town became embarrassed by the exposure. We should all applaud these women for their natural right to be free from outdated ritual and constraints continue to impose these indignities upon women. Muslim women living in Canada who wear the typical dark cloth across the features of the face and over the body are putting forth a message that they are 'second class citizens', are 'less than equal', are 'one mans property' - not unlike a common barn yard animal but possibly owning less importance than an animal since an animal can be traded for goods or services for profit. One can understand how real (natural) Canadien women can view this type of apparel as a slap in the face of their gender, a violent slap to go to the 'back of the line', 'take it lying down and like it'. So much is fear based and these Muslim women should shed their fear as layers of dark folds are sent falling to the floor - once and for all...

Muslims need to understand that we don't like them it's simple really yes the liberal media and some left wing people think otherwise but the vast vast majority would rather they all just leave it's not racists it's just we want to enjoy life they seem to want to make everything about religion just go away

Tolerance is not a one way street. Canadians (and other westerners) should wake up and realize that, and also form a basic understanding about the evils of islam, that muslims stand for.\nMany douchebags and pseudo-liberals of the Ben Affleck kind, will go to great lengths to defend islam and muslims while knowing absolutely nothing about that religion or its followers, with the only purpose being to selfishly display how PC they are. A true liberal person will value their acquired freedoms and privileges, and not be tolerant of the intolerant. Furthermore, real leaders should not be afraid to bring these points up, backing them up with hard evidence (not just hear-say or opinions), for the purpose of protecting civilised society: so that muslims and non-muslims all can understand why islam is incompatible with western civilisation. If muslims are offended by any of that, then that offence is brought on by themselves. PC has no place here.\n\nHere are some reasons why islam is incompatible with civilised society:\n1. Muslims consider the quran to be the perfect book and their prophet to be the perfect man, who's behaviour is to be aspired to, so perfect that any imagery of him does him great injustice and is forbidden. Other than being plain stupid, this in itself doesn't affect civilised society much (except free speech when drawing cartoons), but this does becomes a critical point in combination with the next points:\n2. A perfect man does not marry a 6 year old girl and then f*ck her when she's 9. But that's what their perfect prophet did and they know it, often justifying it as being in a different time. Well no time ever has been ok for a 50+ year old man to f*ck a 9 year old. \n3. In this religion that muslims consider perfect, apostasy is to be punished by death (quran 4:89). This combined with the fact that muslims consider their religious doctrines more important than man-made (western) law is something that makes them incompatible with civilised society. Of course they benefit from the civilised society, but not vice versa. \n4. Then there are the many verses in the quran that order muslims to fight non-muslims (and specifically jews), order death for adultery and homosexual behaviour, etc. Just search and you'll find as there are way too many to list here. Though I am not a Muslim, I understand that Islam stands to correct the pervasive western Marxist-Consumerist-Mainstream-Cult the moral majority just will not subscribe to but must succumb to understood rules for homosexuals where men are emasculated, women dress like whores and fatherlessness is the fashion.

I can understand how these countries allow women to cover their face like that? \n\nYou don't have a right to do whatever you want, it is limited with rights of other people, in this case my right to be able to identify a person who was participating in/witnessing a crime or an accident or whatever. If you are on public grounds you have no right to conceal your identity and covering face does exactly that. \n\nI personally think their religion is oppressing women and that this is not really a choice for them as they fear hell, or their family abandoning them or worse, but regardless of that, their religious freedom stops where my, and rights of other people begin.

As a Muslim living in Canada, I don't see the harm in a woman wanting to cover herself, I wear the head scarf myself, but in my opinions I don't feel the need to cover myself to prove I am more modest or a better Muslim.  I believe everyone has free will and has the right in this Country to dress the way that the law has allowed them to.  No one has the right to tell someone how to dress, not even the Prime Minister himself.  Telling a woman what she can and cannot wear is oppression.  I truly believe that if Muslims want to live in Western civilization, then they should refrain from covering their faces because the face is our identity and People have the right to know who you are and what your face looks like.  You cannot vote with a covered face, you cannot cover your face in a passport photo, you cannot cover your face for your driver's licence etc... I am a Muslim woman and I say this.  It truly is a shame how the media is portraying Islam and the Muslim people as a whole, and it truly is a shame that Canadians have become so ignorant.  I see more ignorance and racism in Canada than I do in America and 9/11 took place in America.  If you want to know about Islam, learn about Islam from a Muslim, a Library, google Islam, or offer to spend a few days with a Muslim family for research to get a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.  As a Muslim myself I can understand the hatred and the ignorance because we act according to how we were taught and raised, and yes we have many extremists claiming to follow the Islamic faith.  These extremists are not only hurting Western civilization, but they are also hurting the peaceful moderate Muslims that value their rights and freedoms as Canadians.  I do not appreciate ISIS hijacking my religion, I do not appreciate Hamas or Hezballah hijacking my Religion because I am a very accepting person and a very open minded Muslim and to be defined by media as a problem or a terrorist is very hurtful and a shame.

I feel bad for some of the good muslims but they have to get those knob heads out of OUR country and I am not one of them dick heads edl either,they have to understand its the UK if you dont like our ways and laws then move to a muslim country that does.
