If you can move to the US, do so. While there is tension down here, it is by far the freest nation. Look at Europe, they're going down the fascist route, same with Australia, NZ. And Canada unfortunately is entering that realm whereby your rights are going to be extinguished. Even with a change of government, when you are beholden to an inbred, foreign crown, it gets harder and harder. South America is no different. Don't kid yourselves, places like Costa Rica sound like an idyllic place but there is crime, poverty, nasty insects. Moscow on the other hand is not bad, it's like the 1980s in the US there, sure the infrastructure is sub par and they do have crime but aside from the proxy war going on, it's an option if you are of Russian decent. Your best bet is still the US, if you can wait the years, pay all the fees, jump through all the hoops, unless of course you are an illegal, non-white and a potential Democrat voter.

But where will you go? The States? England? France? Mexico? I’m OK in Montreal. If I were to move I would go to Uruguay, Costa Rica or Spain. Things are expensive everywhere in the world. The good thing about Canada is that we don’t have to spend tons of money in Defence. What I don’t like is that our Government is using my money to fund a war in Ukraine.

It's all fine and well that you want to leave Canada but where will you go that's any better? After all it is your choice. The problems we see happening around the world are a global problem. There are at least 2 major wars going on. Inflation is rampant in most countries in the world and we ARE heading for a global economic depression that will dwarf anything that we've seen in the 1930's. Speaking for myself my roots are here in Canada which is not the Canada I grew up in anymore. Sadly. Used to be a really great place to live until Trudeau and his band of thieves ruined it. I may as well make my last stand here. If I was going to move where would I go. The EU? Absolutely not! They're tanking. America? No effing way! The American empire is collapsing. Along with the FED note. South America? Don't think so. Most S. American countries are iffy at best. Australia? No. They're nuts. New Zealand? No. They're struggling badly and people are leaving there in droves. Africa? No way in hell. So that doesn't leave very much. Antarctica? Little on the cold side. Few amenities. ;) May as well stay where I am and take my chances. Better the devil I know than the one I don't. If you're serious about moving out of Canada be sure to do your due diligence and research about your target country. Grass always looks greener on the other side but many times isn't once you get there. One place that I AM attracted to is the Azores. Beautiful place. Friendly people. Good climate. One drawback is that I don't speak Portuguese. And I would have to be independently wealthy. After a certain amount of time out of the country I would lose my Canadian pension. It's said that where we are is where we're supposed to be. I may as well take my chances, make the best of a crappy situation and stay here. There really is no better or worse place than Canada. The majority of the countries in the world are struggling with their own problems. I'm not willing to jump from the frying pan into the fire. One of the biggest reasons I want to stay in Canada is that if it does come to a nuclear shooting war it would be very unlikely that Canada would be attacked. So here I'll stay. For better or worse. The LIberals won't be in power forever and if people have the smallest amount of sense, so few will vote for them in the next election that the Liberals will lose party status. I fervently hope that happens. ;)

Canada started going backwards when the Conservatives enacted the GST , like we needed more taxation . Canadian government is self serving just like the USA. I am Chinese from Malaysia. I lived in Toronto Canada for 2 years as a Student. I really like the people in Canada. It is very diverse and friendly as well. But I left to come to San Francisco because the Winter is just too Cold and I was Sick all the time. Here Homelessness in San Francisco and Drug use is out of control. People blame both sides of the government and even threaten Civil War if one party loses in the next election. You are still young and be able to make mistakes and still start all over again. Make sure you have a contingency plan to fall back on. May the odds of life be in your favor.

I've never been conservative or anti-immigration, but the situation is getting out of control. Canada has always been a country of immigrants, but in my country, Poland, that hasn't traditionally been the case. In most of history, a country would consider this an act of war. Another country can’t just allow a massive flood of foreign entities into another nations borders and not have it be considered an act of aggression. The USA should annex Canada. We should allow any non criminal person that is fleeing abuse or danger. They need to be able to prove this of course. During World War 2, Canada denied entry to 900 Jews escaping yhe death camps. Canada is at the whim of US economic policy, which I fear is going to get even worse when Trump returns to office. A transition to Conservatives at the Federal level may lighten the load on a few things like Carbon Tax, and Income Tax (maybe), but they won't be the party to introduce limitations and regulations on investors that are responsible for driving up housing prices, by treating the housing market like it's a stock exchange. \nI will applaud Trudeau on winning over the EV battery plant, for pulling us out of bombing Syria and Iraq, for legalizing Marijuana, and for including Dental Care in health coverage (albeit limited...), but some of his decisions should have been better thought through, like the capital gains tax, and should only be targeting investors that have more than 3 properties. While he increased the budget for the Military, he's spent his first two terms ignoring it and that's severely hampered our readiness, and equipment. And while I do think we needed to boost immigration to stave off economic disaster, the current level that its at is problematic, and many bad faith actors are taking advantage of it and enriching themselves like the diploma mills.

Not many people from many country willing to leave their country anymore. Life is way better and improved in those country since Justin and trump or Biden start selling their lands. As a child from Northen Europe ?? I remember when my grandmother told me about our distant relatives living in Canada ( due to war) and how powerful, rich and fair country this is and that everyone has good life there. Now, 25-30yrs later everything has changed. Big part of Europe and Northern-America aren’t the same anymore due to mass immigration. Even my own country with only 1,3 million population ( Estonian 69.1%, Russian 23.7%, Ukrainians etc). We have taken in quite a lot ukrainian war refugees, who atleast share the same values as we do. But I still see a lot of people in the street wearing burkas and our demographic is changing. People need to stand up for theirselves and protect their countries heritage and culture or otherwise there won’t be anything left for our children. My parents/ elders fought for their right to become free country and Estonia took back it’s independence in 1991.

I was really lucky to visit Toronto in 2000-2002 and practice some Portuguese and Italian. The first time, I came by train from Chicago and arrived at 1 AM. I was scared as I waited for the trolley on Dundas St. But to my surprise there was a young lady enjoying the late night and she even talked to me (something that wouldn't happen in Southern CA). I discovered that if was safe to walk until 2 AM in Toronto. It was really pleasant to explore Little Portugal, Chinatown and other neighborhoods. I remember that it hit the 30s with some humidity, but the reward was taking a bus to Niagara Falls at 50% off for being a student. However, I was sad to discover that the old transportation is gone, and prices have skyrocketed (food and hotels). It's not just Covid-19, but the corruption of thousands of politicians in NorthAmerica that have started wars and the flow of drugs and people. I would never think that Canada could change so drastically. But I still think that Toronto could be enjoyable ( what I really didn't like was the subway, since the stations are far away from important sites as opposed to Montréal that is so convenient). I still remember how Pearson airport was enjoyable to walk. But to see encampments like LA, SD or SF in Toronto is really sad. Hopefully, in the near future it gets cleaned up. You can't destroy what took decades to build and admire in a few years. Safety is always a concern in 2024, but Toronto is much better than CA.

At least Canadians are HONEST about immigration. Everything this minister said is true for every country. No country can produce all the manpower it needs from within its own country. Canada is openly begging immigrants to come. Europe needs immigrants and cannot admit it. According to the news we broke 40 Million residents in Canada in the new year. They just announced that the Canadian population is already at 41 million as of last week. How can we absorb this many people. I would say the majority are from India. A lot of these new residents are amazing. But hear me out......For more than 70 years Canada has accepted diverse immigrants from around the world. These immigrants have always had challenges with acceptance and integration as they bought homes and had families and raised children to be Canadians. But these immigrants are economic migrants. They don't want to be Canadians like they used to. They want the PR, and the citizenship. But they want to work and move all that money out of Canada back to India. Then when they retire, they themselves will dump all their Canadian assets and move to India where cost of living and home ownership is exceedingly less expensive. Even their federal government pension plan money will move out of the country. I'll be totally truthful...MY perception of these economic migrants is that THEY HATE US. In India they are educated, come from Middle class and upper middleclass families. They want the PR and Citizenship so they can eventually pull their entire family from India over to Canada. But they have to Work at Burger king or Tim Hortons when they arrive. And the HATE and resent Canadians for it. \n Canada allows people to keep their foreign passports and citizenship. There are 300,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Hong Kong, There are 450,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Lebanon with a War about to expand across the border. We cannot continue with this.....every time one of these places destabilizes they end up on the CBC waiving their Canadian passports demanding the Canadian government do something to get them out. \n The Author of the video is correct.
