I was born in Canada in the 80s. My parents are from India. So call me racist if it gets you off. My ass is browner than yours probably. \nMy parents, and my uncles and aunts who came here in the late 1970s had to work their asses off to prove they were worthy of even ENTERING Canada, let alone to live in the country. ALL of my older male relatives who came to Canada at that time had a PhD in a science related field or was a medical doctor. EVEN then, they had to go through years of re-training in Canadian schools in order to have a shot at PR. And they persevered and did it, and did well. \nNow, anyone and their dog is allowed in, and it's kind of an insult to all my relatives had to accomplish in order to build a life here. They had to earn doctorates and medical degrees TWICE (once in India and again in Canada).\nWell, that generation did well, and now we're the kids who are grateful and enjoying the sacrifice they put in. What will the kids of illiterate, minimum wage workers be like? Probably not so good.\nCanada's probably done. But does the average Canadian have any desire to do anything. Nope. They used to value hard work and ambition when I was growing up but Canadian culture has become lack of ambition, and entitlements just for existing. \nSo, at least I was raised with the idea of working to no end and sacrificing in order to accomplish something in life. The problem is Indian students are blindly coming to India without doing proper research and seeing things own sided. There are so many stories of Indian students living in pitiable conditions literally in poverty after coming here or they commit suicide under pressure as they cannot survive the harsh economic and social conditions. As a Canadian I truly belive our gov in canada is next level incompetent and they don't think immigrants are a problem at all, if not a solution cause we have to give everyone the benefit of the doubt for some reason, indians are our second most common race as well as very much involved with our politics and police even though about 7 years ago there wasn't a single Indian in canada hardly. We also get mostly low grade migrants without much education and are advertising heavily to India and Africa to come start a life in canada for some fucking reason even though where I live average wages are about 45k and average rent is 2.2x higher then 8 years ago and most groceries are about 40 to 80% higher since trudeau got elected too and you make less money often times here for the same jobs so all that probably contributes a lot too to why this is happening

WOW! Sorry Cash but American are VERY undereducated about Canada. This has been going on for years on the boarder. It just up - ticked in the last couple. One of the problems here is we have ZERO vacancy rates , which makes it worse ...we have nowhere to put them, Then there's our foreign student problem which is very complicated and involve CON MEN in India , who have contacts/ family here and work the system. Up to and including helping them get drivers permits...illegally. There's all sorts of loop holes , how we found out about the drivers permits, why traffic accidents became more frequent of course. Then there's the fake colleges they set up and yeah the student gets a minimum wage job and lives in a house stacked with ppl in the same boat as them. Then find out they being rooked and stay with no education or if they do get a legit school they can't stay here and become a citizen because they can't find work in the higher professions ( doctor ) because the system is screwed then they move back home with a good education and leave us with gaps in our medical system. It's complicated and won't be solved anytime soon on either side.

This is all too true. I live in Ontario and all I see is Indians and Pakistani people everywhere. When I get on public transport, I get lucky if I see a white, black, or latino person. It's just Indians and Pakistanis everywhere. I don't feel like I'm living in Canada anymore, I feel like I'm living in India. But, I've had enough. The solution is really, and I mean really simple... Become a PR first, apply from India, go through the selection process. Come to Canada with your PR and then go get your education for much cheaper at a reputable University , not some unaccredited shack that presents itself as a college. They enjoy being Canadian\n\nOne of the students said it best... becoming an International student ONLY means you can study and get an education that you deem better than the one provided to you in your own country. No university having programs open to International students can promise to find you work or make you a resident or citizen of that country. No French, or German, or Dutch University that allows you to study there has any obligations to you working or staying there.

As an Indian who was born and raised in Canada (immigrant parents from 1994), one of my favourite things about being a Canadian has been finding my own path as a citizen. I still love my culture but if I wanted to be in India, I would have just chose to move back. My parents came here to give me a better life and opportunity. I have fully embraced that. It frustrates me to no end when I see other Indians come here and disrespect the country that is giving them freedom. Canada isn’t your personal frat party to act like a public disturbance. I have proudly adjusted to Canadian culture and I associate with it more than I do India, and I always will. My parents didn’t give everything up and move here just for me to pretend I’m in India. \nI hate that I get lumped in with this mess sometimes.

My main issue with our country allowing so many immigrants into the country is that many of these immigrants from India seem to come to buy businesses up and sponsor their families and friends to live in Canada and work in their businesses which makes it extremely difficult to get basic minimum wage jobs. \nI’ve seen it first hand in my small town, I worked at a Tim Horton’s that was owned by Canadian owners but was sold halfway through my employment to an Indian family and slowly but surely all of the original Canadian workers, including the many young workers (high schoolers) we had employed were pushed out of the business, laid off, given less shifts in favour of giving the Indian employees more shifts. \nI had applied to become manager when my manager quit, I had worked there for a year and instead of promoting me (Because it just would have made sense because I know the job and live very close) An indian man was hired from a city 30 minutes away who’s never worked at a Tim Horton’s and barely spoke English. He was totally sexist to all the young female workers and treated them horribly. He never spoke English on the floor when our staff started to hire more Indian workers. \nIt’s becoming insane.

Why broken? They are coming to use the system by registering noncompetitive schools. Working in 3 jobs not going to school to pay the tuition? This is scam and against education visa conditions. Went to Canada in 2005 first. Things were so different. Was there just for a year before moving to California for about 9 years. Now back in India and love it here. Glad I enjoyed the good days in Canada and USA when it was really good times there. Even Many parts of Uaa are like this now. UK too is bad choice. I worked for a Canadian school/institute as their admissions advisor for India. But when things were not looking good for their job prospects I honestly told them not to go or wait to get in a better US university. Ofcourse this ethical mindset was causing trouble with my work profile and targets, so I quit. Atleast I won't feel guilty of misguiding hopeful students who were ready to take education loan by keeping their homes or ancestral lands as mortgage. I will advise the new generation to choose any country for education after doing all research, not just by the glossy picture they portray.. or best to stay in India and help our economy grow.. create jobs here. I am currently in Waterloo, Ontario. Definitely Canada is one of the beautiful country. However, the points you mentioned in this video are infinite percent correct. Sometimes, Canadians get fed up so much of seeing Indian students and they start abusing us. It certainly is not correct. But, some students literally occupy, do parties with loud music and act as if they own the place which riles up the natives. In addition, the health care is not responsive. The doctors are so scared of loosing their license that they do not even care of other than their patients (even if some one is in emergency). This is very scary. Sometimes, I think, India is so much better in health care.

I would like to bring your attention to the unjust practices going on in Australia. They have recently made an amendment to the Temporary visa laws that bars students above 35 years of age from getting a TR if they are pursuing masters by coursework degree. It was not so earlier and just like that changed the law and students like me are left in limbo. I have completed 1 year of my MBA and now I have no where to go. I have lakhs of education loan on my head. One of my friend is moving back to India after 1 semester and she has spent till date around 30 lakh rupees. So please make a video on this topic and highlight to the world how these countries play with international students.
