As a Canadian i believe we need to stop this. This is not good for the country as its not good for our taxes. Talking about taxes a lot of people also work under the table (cash only jobs). This wasy they avoid taxes as well. Canada needs to hire undercover agents and make the fines to business owners so high that they would go bankrupt if they employ such people. There are also communities that hire only their people. I do not consider this as intergration to a host nation. A lot of issues that need to be addressed. Thats why i believe we need a strong leader to make Canada good for its law abiding citizens.

Immigration is crazy in canada i live in a small town where east indians have taken over most businesses and only hire their own family leaving almost no jobs. Cant even afford to go through school for a better job cause I cant aford anything. Fuck you Justin.

It’s impossible to get jobs now as a high school or college student because all the fast food and retail jobs that a few years ago you could walk in with no experience and get hired you won’t even hear back

I’m immigrant from Iraq. Came in 2009 and I can say Canada has immigration problem. There’s no way you are getting these students back to India. When I came to Canada I came because I wanted to make it my second home. A country that I’m willing to actually fight for. These guys are here just to make money and send it back to India. They don’t like Canada they don’t like Canadians they don’t care about the country and the land. They are here to milk Canada and it’s effecting Canadians. When a store whole operation is run by Indians do you think a Canadian will get hired?

The Canadian job market has been disrupted by the Canadian Employers too! There were permits that allowed Canandian employers to hire people from abroad and sometimes they sold a single permit for 50k to 70k! How come the restaurants with dead sales are still running! Its crazy!!! And the Federal govt knows that!

Idk if it works, but I have heard this trick the landlords use to evict squatters where you hire a furnishing company and make them remodel the house as disruptively as they could e.g. tearing down walls, tearing out floor tiles, etc. whilst the tennant is in there and if they complain, then say that you're trying to improve their living conditions. I don’t know the real-life logistics of this, I just heard it talked about.

Even if you study stats from government subsidized housing, most immigrants work and get out of help but the old immigrants (whites) usually don't flip out of the situation for generations. So there is no reason to tie and blame the Indians for our old problem of homeless population. Stay on point and stop tying it down with non-related issues.

I was watching Flight Radar. I clicked on a Random flight coming to Toronto Pearson. It was Air India, It was supposed to land just across the lake in USA. It had been diverted. I wonder if it was diverted intentionally so all of them could stay in Canada? We build 200K homes a year, we bring in more than 500K people/year. U Can't get a job, all places are hiring newcomers cuz the Gov offers them subsidies to help pay their wages. Meanwhile, Canadians end up homeless.

A lot of the sentiment in citizens complaint you left out is abuse that is common knowledge among common folk of abuses of foreign worker programs, and accepting tons of immigrants that have no marketable skills. Also for this year still aiming for high immigration targets when the jobs data shows the private sector isn't hiring for full time jobs and unemployment is rising, meaning by far we are accepting people when our citizens don't even have any job opportunities themselves if they find themselves unemployed.

Because Canadian born students with exceptional grades have difficulty accessing post secondary money first institutions perhaps? Or when non-canadian born immigrants purchase a gas station and purge the canadin born kids and hire one race? Or when non-canadian born managers only hire from their ethnic group in security jobs? I can't help but think that the phrase 'a country of immigrants' is just a sneaky way of saying 'a country of colonialism'. I dont know that much accountability or reconciliation has happened in Canada over the last 300 years. It began with governments and corporations doing whatever they wanted and could do to make money and extract resources off of this land (regardless of whom it affected), and continues to be just that. The increase of immigrants is largely, as far as I know, being used to a) bring in more revenue and economic stimulus (which is more and more ending up in the hands of a few very wealthy families) and b) fuel the labour force of large corporations that would rather soak the profits up themselves, hire low-wage PR or temporary foreign worker labour, than pay Canadian residents properly to work those jobs. I love immigrants, have many 1st gen immigrants friends, and think they do bring a lot to Canada. We all do, as we were all immigrants at some point. At the same time, the immigration system is very complicit in looking at immigration as a resource in aiding those rich families/ corporations in colonialism, and you could argue that this overreliance is abuse of the immigration system. Certainly, we have seen this with colleges. This feels especially true over the last several years with huge jumps in immigration numbers with growing inequality for long term residents. So the result is a very quickly changing world that is not helping many Canadians feel more secure about their future, which is a recipe for unrest. Am I wrong? Genuinely I am looking to have an open discussion here!

In NYC, migrants from South America can go to 800 2nd Ave Manhattan and go up to the 2nd floor to the Embassy and get papers filled out, get a passport, get your reloadable debt card, medical, schooling, housing voucher and live like a king for a few months. Over 200 line up every morning here and several hundred a day go through to get this. Can we be mad at the migrants, NO. Though I can be mad at the government for allowing and promoting it. When I got leukemia from the job the utility company fought Workers comp and stopped my pay to starve us out. I ended up homeless with a wife and 4 children. All social services in NY could do was offer us $13 a day per child for food allowance and nothing more. We couldn’t even get Medicare. The food allowance was only for 7 days. It’s a disgrace how citizens are treated. Come here illegally and they offer you the world. These politicians need to be voted out. Social services was developed to help those citizens in need and it’s not happening. People need to realize that government contractors (usually family of politicians) are hired to help these “migrants” . These contractors even from the UN are in Panama helping migrants get here. If you research it you will get angry for sure. My elected officials in Northern NY know what’s going on and are behind it, they don’t even hide it.
