I was born in Ottawa. Over the course of my 45 years I have watched the country become progressively worse the entire time I've been alive. I don't begrudge anyone jumping for their lives at this point. My only wish is that everyone in the world acknowledge that the only thing that makes Canada a horrible place to be is the government, or at least the government for the past 45 years.

So sad to see, can remember Canada was the place most wants to emigrate to, democracy has failed spectacularly and there is nothing the normal folks can do about it, the ones with capitol now controls the political parties and MEDIA. The citizens only get pre selected candidates to vote for and they don't have your interest at heart.

good news, sooner or later, canada will be ruled by indians, they are everywhere already, they are the smartest and hard-working people in the world, then canada will change and become a better place.

Anyone coming to Canada now has to know they're coming to run a hotel. Doesn't matter what your education or passion is, you WILL be running a hotel. It's the only way to deal with not only extreme property overvaluation, but also the absolutely massive property taxes that are now HIGHER than RENT was in the 90s. It's sad that after 40 years here I'll never earn enough to keep up with these extreme tax hikes and will be moving in a couple years because I do NOT want to run a hotel and I do NOT want to live in a tent or a van. Between property tax and $800 an hour dentists this place has become unlivable.

That is sad news in some way but it is your decision and your decision alone. With all your travel experience in the world I do not doubt for a moment that you will not rebuild your live elsewhere. Make a pitstop in the Netherlands some day, not Amsterdam ( yes Schiphol airport is located there ) but other very interesting places to visit, we have a lot to offer. Yes we are small but very successful in what we do. Nothing is perfect but I will never leave my country to permanent settle to another country. Maybe travel for a longer time or rent a nice place near the mountains somewhere but permanent settling no, things are very well arranged in my country, with top 10 passport strength if you will ? Canada is on my bucketlist as I told earlier. But as a tourist I will not feel the problems Canadians have these days, I pitty for them, so sad. I worked for a Canadian company for 25 years living in the USA, California / Silicon Valley specifically and spent days in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver - great place but probably has been run-down by wrong Government policies just like the USA - first blame is always on immigrants even though majority of them (especially in the USA) do jobs that Americans or Canadians do not want to do - farm work, construction work and services while 50% do get proper education and find good jobs and build up the community\nPolitics in the USA and Canada has gone so bad in recent years almost everyone is thinking of moving back to native country or find other affordable places - easier decision at the age of 33 but not 66\nWherever you go, I am guessing it will be around Bali, good luck and may you have all the success you strive for and deserve!

I left Canada at the end of last year. After years of busting my butt and trying to get ahead, i wasn't going anywhere. \nThe job that i had worked at for years decided to outsource my entire team to another country and i was left with a decision to try and atart from scratch or atart fresh elsewhere. \nSo i booked a flight to Thailand and i spent three months there. While going on a border run to get a visa extension, i went to Cambodia. It was just a short trip, but it keftnits mark on me and ive been here for almost six months now. \nI didnt like how i felt back in Canada and i didnt like what i was seeing the countey become. Instead i ended up in a country that had been through one if the worst thjngs imaginable and the people were the most lively and welcoming that I've ever met. They decide to put light into the world and that resonates with me. \nGood luck with your next chapter. Change can be great. Its also easier to adapt when you find a place you love

We moved to Canada from the UK 20 years ago because we saw what was coming. Unfortunately the situation in The UK is coming to Canada too. We too may have to consider moving again especially if Trudeau gets back in. That will be the deciding factor. Yes Canada is an incredible place to live but it’s rapidly changing and not for the better. It’s not the Country we moved to 20 years ago.

Try London England, you’ll find it’s 3-4 times more expensive than Toronto. Life in Canada isn’t that bad! The cost of food is the same as England £4.50 for strawberries ($8.00), £3.00 ($6) for milk, and £5.50 ($9) for cheese but gas £2.90/L ($4.10/Litr) way more costly in England. It seems like it’s mostly Canadians who ONLY know Canada and immigrants who expected life to be magically easy and handed to them… ? ?‍♂️ I had to learn to be grateful living outside of Canada, the whole world is facing inflation right now! Europe and North America. But Canada isn’t as bad as many places. But then again, I’m not a quitter. The best way to survive is getting a good education and a stable and high in demand career. Canada is a beautiful country but screwed up by bad government. The situation in Canada is not positive and will continue to deteriorate. Alina hasn’t figured out yet that all countries of any consequence are run by the same syndicate. They control the puppet politicians and the fake political parties. It's sad to see you being pushed out of Canada. Unfortunately this is happening to a lot of people but what we're witnessing, especially over this last 10 odd years is the symptom of the underlying problem we have. It's happening in Europe, the UK and the US as well. We are losing our young people which IS the future of this country but unfortunately when they see no future here it's normal to start looking elsewhere. Wherever you have decided to move to I hope it works out beautifully for you. While you are away, maybe, just maybe we can make Canada an attractive place to lure you home again. Nobody speaks up, but it's the truth. Canada use to be a squeaky clean country and well-respected around the world. Use to be in the top 5 of best places to live. Now it's not even in the top ten. Toronto as large as it is, use to be a very clean city compared to other cities in the States during Mayor Art Eggleton's day. Now it's fallen by the wayside. There are more homeless than homes. Less jobs than before and at the same time prices for everyday items have risen. Absolutely ridiculous. Somebody up there is not doing their job. We gave the Liberals too much power and they have become complacent. Time for new leadership.

Damn...I've been considering a move to Canada from London UK (part of the reason why I found your channel). I've been hearing so many people are leaving because it's not the same as it used to be. It's sad to hear because Canada felt like one of the really good places left to start a life in.

Great Video! Your totally right things here have changed for the worst but like you said Canada is still one of the best places to be. I still think life in Saskatchewan isn’t bad yet as it is in other provinces. If your in a major city than it’s tough to survive. My wife is from the Philippines so maybe we’ll go there in the winter months.

European here. When I was a kid the american dream - Canada & the U.S - was strong. The same for the U.K. The place to be, the place to go to.\nNowadays it's clearly a place to avoid if you want to have an international experience. It required only 2 decades to change that... Scapegoating? It's simple supply and demand, and nothing can change it. Socialism won't fix it, importing impoverished people won't fix it, legislation won't fix it. You have to attract people with the proper skillsets to make the country and city better. Having a booming population and no room to grow doesn't do that. The countries of European nations are being flooded with foreigners, overrunning these nations. Places like England, Germany, France, Netherlands, etc are ethnic wellsprings. I think Manitoba is the cheapest place to live. Atlantic Canada, houses might sound cheap but most of them very old. To get job also is difficult. More tax and less per hour salary in New Brunswick. But good only for seniors, who retired after working in Ontario or BC or other cities.

Why is Canada so inferior compared to US? America always takes first place in the Olympics whereas Canada can't even be in the top 10. Canadian dollar is so weak like a noodle arm boy whereas American dollar is strong like a muscular warrior full of sinew and gristle. Why can't Canada be better than US? The final scene at the new Canadians rally is nice to see. But what you’re not seeing are the THOUSANDS of people who aren’t success stories. People who bring nothing to the party but still need a place to live. I’m fine with immigration, I think Canada is a better place for being diverse.
