Trump has sold the lie that tariffs will pay for many great things. 1-It's a direct-to-consumer tax. 2-History has proven that tariff wars are bad for all concerned. P.S. Warren Buffet recently said that if all US corporations paid taxed like his companies do, We'd have no need for income taxes. Trump works from the other end of the tunnel that Ideally no taxes for corporations, and the wealth will trickle down and bless us all.

This administration hasnt got the faintest idea with what theyre doing with our relationships with these countries. This trade war, i hope these countries will see it as only as a temporary setback that only reflects the currernt administration decisions and not us the people. Whoever comes into office next has a lot of cleaning up to do

Long-term, nobody will trust the USA after this. US voters cannot be allowed to destroy trade, democracy and peace worldwide. All Western democracies will work towards insulating themselves from US influence, and that will impact the standards of living inside the US. The US will have to ally with Arab, Russian & Chinese 'friends' to survive, and that will remove the US from any semblance of a country guided by human morals, much less, the Christian religion.

I have been a pro-America citizen for almost 79 years, but our administration is dead wrong. Canada is the best neighbor we could possibly have, and we have slapped them in the face. This administration loves authoritarian leaders and dismisses the interests of our long-time friends and allies. Why would we ever believe our president when he promises to make life better for us. He does not care for any of us, unless we are one of the few with money and/or power.

I just feel the need to apologize to Canadians. What Trudeau said was correct - we've always enjoyed amicable relations between our two countries. Some of my best friends are Canadians.
